rocks! | | Joie from Amsterdam , The Netherlands says (20/Jun/2004): | i played crazy taxi in the arcade when i was younger and it rocked! i got it for my game cube and it rocks there too. it could get alittle boring if its the only game you play for a long time. but for a little while of playing and chillin with the cube its nice. i play it for hours when i first play it tho..but i can understand why ppl think it get a little boring after a while.
its my fav game of all times.
| This Game Is Ace | | MuNky from ENGLAND says (13/Sep/2003): | Ye so, The first time i ever saw this game was in my local youth club thing where we had a dreamcast and we had to take it in turns for ten mins each(i had ten mins all night lol!!). At the time it was the lastest craze to play this game so 3 years down the line til the presant day i havnt played it until i bought my gamecube recently and perchased the game....ITS ACE. Now most peope think "god all you do is pick up people and take them some where". wat are you guys takin man....its kool just racin around,crashin,earnin money, performing stunts of back of lorrys and even going under water but its not realistic(so what if its not realistic) THE IDEA PEOPLE WHO THINK ITS CRAP IS FUN..... its a great game when you have come home from skool or even adults to come home from work and smash up some cars and just have a laugh. i recommend people buy this NOW.... its fun ...ITS THE KING OF RACIN GAMES or should i say fun racib games
Also the graphics are kool and bring out most of the gamecubes graphic qualities and its fast so it dunt slow down all the time. The cheats are kool and there are differeny modes to play in and jsut mess about or you can try beat the game. (recommended for sleep overs!!!!!!!!)

A really good game that you need to buy! It looks like a minigame from Grand Theft Auto 3 but it's a lot better than that! Believe me.Believe a lot of other people, believe Dréke!
| The worst game ever. | | Roberr 5000 from Fairborn, OH USA says (21/Aug/2003): | Here is what I have to say about Crazy Taxi. All you do is drive around and pick up people. That is about all you can do. There is this okay Crazy Box. You have to do special stuff like go really far off a ramp. I do not know if you get anything for completing this. The Arcade and Classic modes are basically the same, except the tracks are different. The graphics are pretty good. Sky Shark on the old NES is better than this. The graphics may have been bad, but was much more fun. I hardly even play Crazy Taxi. The only thing I like is that you can use a bike. The cheat codes are hard to use and sometimes do not work. The music is kind of bad, and they say too many bad words. I like to turn that part off. All the taxis are the same, except some of them are fatter than others, even though the manual says that there are four totally different cars. This game is much more fun and funnier when you do not know the controls. You can not unlock anything either. I play this game when I am REALLY bored. I suggest you do not get this game. It is the worst game I ever played. (It deserves negative one million stars.)

Now, I want to tell you something. I got three games with my Game Cube when I first got it: Crazy Taxi, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, and Super Smash Bros. Melee. Of those three games, I had only tried out one. That was Crazy Taxi. I thought it was the best game ever mainly because I was used to the old NES graphics. Well, I was wrong. You see, it was actually the worst game I ever had. (I mean, it’s okay, but compared with my two most favorite games, Crazy Taxi didn’t fare too well.) Now, I must warn you of something. There is not very much to do in this game. All you can do is some Crazy Box mode, Classic mode, and Arcade mode. Okay, I have to hand it to the game for some superb graphics and detail, but that is about all. I’ll tell you everything else later. First, off to the three modes I mentioned earlier.
The Crazy Box mode is where you’re supposed to complete special tasks. For example, pick up some people all in one cab, and take them to their destination. I did this only once, and that was after a while of playing when I started playing Crazy Taxi some more. That was until I got a new game. There are also other little things to do, like performing Crazy Drifts and launching a ramp. I guess Crazy Box is good, but not that great.
The Classic and Arcade modes are where you go through the streets and pick up people. I normally like to put the time on 10 minutes. It’s fun at first, but gets boring after a while. There is also an arcade mode where you can earn time. You keep picking up people until time runs out. There are even people underwater to pick up. In this mode there are codes. I like to use the one that makes you a bike. It looks really weird. There are also real places in this mode. If you want to just roam around, there is unfortunately no roam around mode. You could set the time to 10 minutes and look around that way. (That’s how I do it.) Overall, Classic and Arcade are good modes. (They would have been better if they didn’t lose their appeal so fast.)
You can also customize your Crazy Taxi game. For example, you can set the traffic and time difficulty. I know I’m making this game sound excellent, but it really isn’t. The music is good for who you are. The only reason I have it on is because I want something to listen to. There is too many profane language words. It gets so annoying. Luckily, I can turn it off. This is one game that does not deserve to be in your Game Cube collection. (This is the only game in my GCN collection that is bad.) I had better hope I get luckier on other games. I mean, I thought I had over-looked something you could do, but I didn’t. There just isn’t enough to do in Crazy Taxi. There is not enough
| there's a lot of crazy boxes | | kevin delgado from san antonio,texas united states says (8/Sep/2002): | well when i got crazy taxi the graphics looked the same as dreamcast. so i kept on playing and i found out that there was cheats for crazi taxi. so i used one and it would'nt work so i was like dane and then as my brother was playing he unlocked bowling. so it was pretty cool exept the part where you run out of time but the music is cool and the game play is cool. some times there's even customers under water so thats pretty cool. crazi taxi is original theres another game thats like crazi taxi but i for got what it was called.
