Phantasy Star Online is my favorite game out there... You can be a hunter all their different types of swords like cyber swords to daggers, you can be a ranger, witch are really good with guns like handguns to rifles, or you can be a force, they usee canes to wands to heck, even sticks! Forces are very good with magic. I personally think that this game is the best. I've had it since christmas and i already gota lvl 67 Ranger.
P.S. If your a new player, youy should be Hunter.

As I said above, easily one of the best games for the GC. With customizable chars, large amounts of sidequests in the Hunters Guild, near-infinite array of rare weapons and gear, this game will keep you playing for hours. As you progress, the monsters get harder, the bosses get bigger, and the rewards get better so as to keep you interested in the long run. The graphics are suprisingly well-done for a game of that era; my only complaint there is the glitchy camera in spots.
The game is one of those few addicting games that suck you in from the get-go and keep you playing for hours on end. The online part only compounds it, offering additional quests, items, and such, beyond whats available in the offline version. If you have the online adapter, use it: Its definately worth it.
Finally some complaints. As I said before, the camera is kinda glitchy in spots. Problem no.2 is in online play, many people have found flaws in the program which theyve exploited to steal stuff from characters, like items and such, so be careful around the online lobbies. (WARNING: If you see someone casting Resta while at full health, GET OUT OF THERE. That's one of the glitches at work.) Final complaint is I think they could have made the chars more customizable than they did, not counting appearance. If you want a magic swordsman, you're stuck with a female char; not too appealing if the real you is of the opposite sex. Also, a lot of the outfits for female chars are a bit, well, inappropriate in some cases. (just look at the HUnewearl (posted by request of sister.) .)

At first i just thought that this was goin to be a game i just played for a day and then put away forever. I WAS WRONG. this game is VERY addictive. i couldnt move away from the xbox a single second, at all times i was thinking whats next, when will i level up, and of course...WHAT THE HECK IS THAT. the monsters are done in really good detail, the graphics are awesome. when you are beside a stream it actually looks like a stream not some retarded flat stream that looks like it is made out of paper. You will not be able to put this game down when you get!!!!!

this game is the best game ever to hit the gaming world. i play ep. 1&2 on my cousins x-box then come home to my gamecube where i play ep. 3. this game has really good graphics as in comparison to other games realeased at the time, and going through modes over and over again can be fun cause then you get to show off your knowledge of the area to other people. everyone talks about getting to lvl. 200, but thats an almost impossible feat. my character is still a lvl. 16 hucast, and i cant even get through the caves by myself. this game will have you playing for hours on end and even with a big screen tv, we still only play two people at a time so when i got on a roll, my cousin kicked me off to make room for my other cousin. thats the only problem with this is that you cant save the game exactly where your at (like caves2) but if you do the game right you can get to certain places quickly. my cousin played it so much he got to lvl. 56 in a month! this game is well worth the time and effort just dont get the dreamcast version (too many hackers).

This is just one of those games that make U forget about everything around U, AND focus all of your life into that game ..what i mean is one night while i was playing pso there was a black out ... after trying to bring the power back on i could only get the refridgerator working,, soo i unplugged the refridgerator and plugged in my pso and tv.Its that adiictive!!...But overall i would give the graphics a 8 out of ten ,,gameplay 8,,story 7,, controls 9,, replay 9.... this game overall i would give 8 or 9 ,,, its only problem is its lack of different levels.worth the mula..diffenetly!!

Phantasy Star Online is definitely the best game on the GC. There are 12 possible characters (ranging from Sword fighters to Gunners to Magicians, all with their own best statistics) and millions of possible creations from the character classes (you can modify face, hair, body, name, proportion, and skin color). Besides the characters themselves, there are tons of different items, weapons, barriers, and armor. You can play this game for hours or even days, but you won't get bored. That's just how good it is! The problem (and ONLY this) with this game is that there are only 4 areas in each of the two games. They do take forever to beat, but if you don't clear the level and you turn the game off, you have to start all over the next time you turn it on (not the WHOLE game, just back to the last boss you beat). Over all, this games GREAT!!!

i usually spend my time at high school and doing hw and crap like that but for the past year my video gaming has been stuck on this game, a real game fit for almost any gamer, i was extreemly suprised with the depth of this game, any one who plays video games needs to try this one out, it definately gets my little bro goin 2, if anyone reads this they should stop right now and go to the closest store and get themselves this game, it definately will get you addicted, it is worth every penny, nickle, dime and bill.. get your hands on it now (ps. beat challenge mode to get some rare prizez)!!!!!!!!!!

I have been playing PSO sense it came out for the DC. Technically b4 it came out, but n3ways, i would rank PSO high in the gamin world but of corse it is not the best. Camra angles get funky at some times as do in almost ever game, but thats not all. There are many other things such as tidious lvling times and faultful fighting failures. But other than that the game is well worth the money. I've been playing it for ever now and I'm still addicted to its gameplay and inovation. Currently im playing it on GameCube, and the only reason i bought a gamecube was because of it. TY 4 reading and hope you can learn to like the game like i have.

I'll start by saing that evrything about this game including its sound, graphics, gamplay, and every last penny is worth it! I have been playing this game for about five months now, and am so addicted to it that I will not go anywere without my memory card, system, and game. I promise that this game is the BEST game of all time history, and allways shall be, so if you bye it you will never get bored of it's endless items. The only problem I had, which turned out to be an awsome thing, was when my transfered data, from one memory card to another, was corrupted, but I still had everything, and was actualy able to duplicate all of my items because I transfered the data again. I have info though, and that is that the best place to find rare items is in the forest in hard mode. You will love this game if you get it!!!!!!!

Well, I only played for like 75 hrs and am only lvl 45 and everything, but this game rules. Right now I am on Mine on Hard. After you beat Dark Falz at about lvl 30 and you go on to hard, your probably thinking, "This will be as easy as Normal". Well, its not. When I first went to hard, it was really hard. My best weapon is a Varista +17, and my mag is lvl 102, but i dont really care. I am a RaMar but this game is difficult no matter what character you pick. For me, hunters have a bit of trouble at the beginning cause they get hit because of close range atks. I dont have the online adapter yet, but when I do, expect me to be on. Just wondering, what is a special weapon saber's name( Im guessing that it is a DB's Saber) cause I have a Pallasch(red saber). If ur camera view is stuck, just atk anywhere you can and just look at ur hp and tp bar, thatz what I do when i get caught in a corner.

This game rocks!!! Sure, there's the few bugs, such as music and camera control. Otherwise this game is awesome, especially if your friends have it or ya got an online connection. I gurantee this game will last a while so don't worry about wasting your money and whatnot. If you play online, you might see me. I'm a bluefull hunter, lvl. 99, named Dude. I'm kinda riged though, with my Delsaber's buster and sheild, and i dominate my friends on offline mode. And can somebody tell me what a photon drop does? And i need help finding a double cannon. Thanks to whoever tells me.

I absolutly love this game! I have been playing since last Christmas and can't stop. The best part is that I pretty much hate video games, but this one is a real winner! The characters are awesome and I love how you you get to choose what they look like and change the color of the outfits.

Phantasy Star: Online is a pretty good game. While the episodes do seem a little too short, there's always the harder modes to play in like the Diablo series for the PC. This game kept me addicted for a while. The graphics aren't the best that the gamecube can offer but they're fine for now. There's lots of different weapons to be discovered and the rare ones are really worth finding. My only complaint is that the controls are sluggish at times when you get surrounded by enemies and it really pisses me off when the damn camera angles turn around to where you can't see yourself. This really sucks when there's lots of enemies around and you're trapped in a corner and can't run anywhere to fix the camera angle. Other than these things, this game is worth getting and should keep you and some friends (who also play RPGs) busy for a while.

This game is the best. I'm only level 80 but i'm better than my friends. This game is great in 1 player and multi. If you ever want a game that is good and stays good for a long time you should get this. I love my G-assasins sabers. The best weopon i have is Yamatos but i hope to one day get asukas or sang and yahas.

right now im lvl 125 and have taken down eps. 1 and 2 on ult mode. so if you have any questions for me just email me. Im a skyly humar and if you can tell me how i get any of these four weapons i would be very greatful, twin blaze, demolishion comet, dark flow gean (its used with a sword +10 to make dark flow a weapon with 900 atp), and skyly cards. any help would do, but if any of them weapons can only be gotten on online mode tell me because i dont have the online conection cord.

The PSO for Gamecube. Has Sure evoled of it's older self. First. Let's start with graphics. Well, The graphics of this game, Is of course, not up to snuff. Alas, The graphics to this game are very good, For being an Online game. If you look around... You'll know what I'm talking about. Further more, What's a game without music? For PSO, The music tends to get very redundant. Such as the MINE in episode one. And the lag times between battle music switches to area music. Then the other way around. Are very slow. Otherwise, I have to say that it is a good soundtrack. Some of the tracks are very good. You can really get into the battle in some of the boss areas because of the music. Another cool thing about this game is now, The boxes that contain special items.. are red. Such as the 'Durandal' or 'Twin Brand'. Which makes your life easier on scouting rares. Which now... The game and it's rares seem never ending. As all online games are. This game could go on forever. Tring to find all the rares down to meeting people online. Another Unique aspect of this game is it's Offline mode. Where you an up to three of your friends can run around and battle together. Unique it is. Annoying it can be. With four players onscreen, It reduces the screen size to almost nothing. And, You have to wait for all of the party memebers to be on a Ryuker, Telepipe, or Teleporter to go onto the next area. I've never played it online, I heard there were alot of Character corrupts and the like. Fearing to lose my High Level Hunter. Other than that. This game will last you quite some time. From finding rares to getting to that Level 200. That being only a small portion of the fun or Challenge of the game. So, if you are looking for an awesome game, That will take you not just a day to beat, And well worth the money paid for it. I'd say go with PSO.

PSO is one of the best game I ever played. The graphics are better than the one on old dreamcast. The new music is cool and makes the game fun to play. It is easy to play and very fun to go online to meet people all over the world. The game may cost much,but it is worth it. I can not even spend one day from playing PSO because it is so fun to play. Going online is fun you can battle,play cangllenge mode,and play the differt modes like very hard and ultiment mode. I would recomand this game to anybody to play. PSO is the best game yet on gamecube;I can not wait when PSOep.3 comes out next year!

i think pso is 1 of the best games on the gc and sonicteam ever made.its fun 2 play,its easy once u no all the simple things like custimizing buttons spells 2 use on enemys,etc.the graphics r good 2,all the weapons r extemly cool,my favorite sword is tj,once u do the photon d or p thing 2 get % tj is the best sword.i really think that sega couldve made it that u could hv more symbols (LOL)i really really think this game should it a 10 even though it has sum tiny flaws in it,ty 4 reading my review.

at first i thought this game was o.k i thought it was like the game gauntlet(which bit!!!!)but then i started playing it more and more and soon i couldnt stop playing it.the game is sooo good and it's even fun for the second time.i give this game a 9 because first i can get kind of hard and 2 THEY NEED MORE ABILITYS!!!but overall this game was pretty darn good mabey second favorite after metriod prime.well gonna go play thanks for reading my review.
