When i saw the game on comercials, i had to buy it right away. It truly is a great game. Once you start playin it, and you go back to playin the Nintendo 64 version, you realize how much better it is. The graphics are much better. They are more computerized. They even added a trophies section. were people can collect trophies from all types of different games. i really loved that part. This game is defenetly a must buy game!

The original game was awesome for it's time and I couldn't get enough. I think it is every gamers dream to duke it out face to face with their favorite characters to see who is #1. It was break through and there is no exception when it comes to Super Smash Melee. There are an unbelieveble ammount of freedom to choose in characters, stages, styles, and fun. No matter what type of mood you are in you can always play this game and it would never get old. The graphics were out of this world and make the old game seem like a crew of stick figures. It was the first game I bought for GCN and it definately wasn't the last because it showed me the feel and the fun of what GCN can bring to anybody. It's a must buy and the fun will last for a long long time.

thsi game is good but i think it is too confusing and the camera angle sometimes get messed up. there are a lot more characters and boards, but a lot of the characters just look different but have the same moves. the ssb is better on n64.

This game rules on gamecube!! This is the best compared to the other games this is god!! I really like Link who is really good for both new players and experienced ones. He hag good long ranged plus super hand-to-hand combat. Though the only character who I think sux is fox he suckes totaly I have around 163 trohies and 23 players get this game it rules!!
P.S All have different advantages so use ur best!

I herd about this game in like the beginning of 2001 and i wanted it bad until i figured out that it was for gamecube that got me kinda mad :( but i got it. i play it every hour on the hour. i once read a review on here that said that they played it 2 hours a day literally and im like uh... so... this game doesnt get boring its awesome! i so far won 8 characters. roy who sux. marth who really sux pichu he is cute jigglypuff luigi dr.mario he is cool ganondorf who is scary and young link who is my fav. character he is so cute cuz he has big eyes. this game rox.

that guy rob sux use link if u get knocked off the edge u can use links hookshot to get back up. roy cant do that. he has only a strong b-up attack i give link a 10 roy half a star. roy is stupid. i advice all roy users to change u character to link. he is awesome u can also use young link too. plus marth and roy are copycats of link link waz made in 1987 and has gotten way more cooler. zelda ganondorf young link and adult link rock. well ganondorf is kinda scary but still.Rob just got me really p.o.ed when he did that. Use link not sucky roy. This game is great, I loved the 1st for n64 and I thought that was good. But when I heard about the next 1 coming out I had to get it. The graphics are extremely improved, Map selection is great. This game can't get any better!

I think Super Smash Bros Melee is the best game Nintendo has ever made! Once I earned Roy I became unstoppable. On the last game I was never able to use Roy and I had to use sucky Link. The best thing on this game is the power up that Roy can do, he powers up and the competition doesn't stand a chance. ADVICE: ALL LINK USERS SWITCH OVER TO ROY.

This game is by far the best game ever! So many new features and attacks, such as dodging in air and shield reflects, make this game top notch! And me, as a Link player, loves the new Hook-shot and bow and arrow. Although they made duplicates of characters with slight differences, they made up for it with the new items and levels. With such good graphics and the unique combat system this game should go down in history!

This is the best game that first came out for gamecube. In all their are 25 characters, in the first Super Smash there were about only 10. This is a list of the secret characters, they are Luigi, Ganondoarf, Falco, Dr. Mario, Young Link, Pichu, Jigglypuff, Roy, Marth, Mewtwo, and even Mr. Game and Watch. Also some of these characters that were already in the first Super Smash have different moves, for example Jigglypuff has rest, wich kills the enemy in one shot. Also some of the non-secret characters are new for example Bowser. Also you can choose stadium mode and play Target mode, Punchbag mode, and Multi-Man Melee. This game is also about collecting trophies, there are about 1,000,000 of them and I played this game for a year and I have only about half of them. There is also Adventure or Classic mode, and when you beat beat one of the modes with all the characters you will unlock All-Star mode. I reccomend you to choose Bowser, Link, or Young Link, if you train with one of these you will be unbeatible. If you are a fan of Super Smash Bros. you should get this game, or if you love playing with characters from all different games. Tis is a must buy!

The first Super Smash Bros was amazing, hot, and great. When I heard that Super Smash Bros Melee came to Gamecube, I was surprised. Mario, Peach, Zelda, Bowser, Dr. Mario, Ice Climbers and more!!!! I was like WOW!!! The best mode I like in Special mode is Stamina mode because its like Capcom VS. SNK 2, but it's different, You start with 150 hp all the way down to 0 hp (dark red) Pikachu's clothing was Ash's hat, Business hat and a blue party hat with white stars. Kirby could do a Belly to Belly Suplex and Jigglypuff's German Suplex. I was shocked and it has an party full of action!!! I've got a secret, Go to Versus Mode, Press N/A with the A button, and press A again on Human to turn to Computer.

Well I was eagerly waiting for the update to Super Smash Bros.
and I must say this is a game that can not be approved upon!I like the fact that there were more secret characters and more battle types to chose from and more costume colors(or a better selection anyway).The graphics were great considering you dont want Mario or Yoshi looking too real.The controls are easy to master.Now video gamers who like a challenge should maby,MABY
get this game.This game is meant to be played with human controlled characters and have FUN withb the gameplay.Not just to see if your better than the AI controlled characters.I'm also glad this game didnt get as many undesrved 1 or 2 scores as super Mario sunshine.There both awesome games.
