I play this game and I love how you can be players.
I absolutely like playing this kind of baseball games since i can trade for better players. When I play as the cubs in Their home field, i really feel like im watching them play baseball in real life.

Great game, but some disappointing features. |
| MattCub 21 from Tennesse (not the hillbilly east portion), USA says (12/Jun/2003): |
I own this game for playstation 2 , and love playing it. One high point of the game is the actual gameplay. The players make fluid throws and amazing/wacky plays. In fact, the only glitches that I could find in it, are the Homerun cameras, and the way a player will come up with a catch when the ball is ten feet away from his glove. Other than that, the gameplay is awesome. The graphics are smooth and lifelike, and most of the player's faces resemble their lifelike appearance. THe only graphic design that i dislike is the Chicago Cubs' helmet design. They make the C way too big, and have a red bill on the helmets during a home game, when in real life, it is solid blue. Other than that, great graphics. Next is the sound. The announcers have interesting and entertaining things to say, and keep me listening. Although they sometimes repeat themselves, and overlap their speech, they do great. THe crowd sounds are amazing. They boo and cheer at the appropriate times and are not weak sounding like other competing games. Lastly, is the details. What I mean by this is the crowd, stadiums, and uniforms. First, the crowd. In this particular game, the crowd is actually lifelike and believable. I mean, the actually move in a believable way and have detail. Awesome add on. The uniforms, for the most part, are great. Except for a few exceptions. For example, the yankees uniform numbers are way too low on their backs, and the mets and giants lettering on their jerseys is way too small. Other than that, great uniforms. And, the stadiums are detailed to an amazing level. When I'm playing in WRIGLEY FIELD with the CHICAGO CUBS, I feel like im really there. So, overall great game, and I would recommend buying it. It's not a game you will get tired of easily. So, buy it if you can, you will not be disappointed!!!!!

Excellent Simulation But Still Needs Work |
| A gamer from Cincinnati, Ohio, USA says (9/Apr/2003): |
All-Star Baseball 2003 is an overall great baseball simulation. It is the closest game to the real thing out there. It will ensure hours of fun and excellent baseball. The reason this game got an 8 is multiple glitches in the frontend and gameplay. The menus are overly confusing and it is easy to get lost. Many key elements are hard to get to, e.g. save, load, create a player. The gameplay is awsome. You really feel like you're in the stadium. Problems in gameplay are few but still there. The fielder will obviously not catch the ball, but the game will count it as an out. Even the replay shows it hit the ground. If the ball is passed to the cut-off man, you have to hit the base you want to throw the ball to again. The players in te field seem more intent on running to their assigned places when the ball is hit than actually catching the ball. Despite all these glitches I would recomend buying this game. P.S. You will need a memory card with as much pace as you can find.

For the first time I own a game that entertain me so much.. And give a player the great sensation to be in the majors. You can create a player a give your name and play in the big circus. You can make your fantasy team if you know how... Like I said in Spanish Esta Brutal!!! (It's Great)

Graphics are good, but the batting pracitce sucks |
| Hermie Medina from Oak Forest, IL says (14/Oct/2002): |
I own the game. It has awesome graphics and the players are actually like the real players in the game. The reason why i gave it a 7 is because when I try to change batters in batting practice I can't.

WAY BETTER THAN TRIPLE PLAY AND HOME RUN KING |
| CJ from Auburn, New Hampshire, USA says (19/Jul/2002): |
I own this for the GameCube and it is the absolute BEST baseball game i have ever played. my favorite feature is the Create-a-Player. i mean, you make a guy whether his name is superman or just plain old yours, choose all the stats, looks, batting stance, postion, etc. about him. Then you get to play on your favorite team for a season and the game keeps track of all of your stats. The only 2 reasons why it was a 9 and not a 10 was because the create-a-player is hard to get to, and worst of all it features derek jeter (yankees stink, red sox rule!)

Excellent, but lacks some key elements..... |
| A gamer from BC says (6/Apr/2002): |
I just recently bought All-Star Baseball 2003 and was very pleased at first. Then I went into detailed observation and noticed that the game lacked certain key elements that could make the game next to perfect. When catching the ball, sometimes it would "teleport" into you glove and plays are made that you think would never be possible. Another thing that bothered me was that wherever the ball was thrown all of the players in the field would face the ball without changing position. One last thing that is disappointing is the homerun transition. When you hit a homerun it right away goes into the homerun transition, leaving no doubt that a homerun was just hit. I give All-Star Baseball 2003 8 points for stunning graphics, great player transitions, and overall a great baseball simulation!
