virtua striker 2002 the best football game out? | | christian (im 12) from lincoln, lincolnshire,england says (28/Dec/2002): | Virtua striker 2002,a very good game, the good points being: the detailed graphics , every fan moves, the subs bench moves, they even have an amazing " international cup mode" where you can train players go on exibitions and actually have practice matches dividing your team in two! but the thing which i found brilliant was something very simple, the substitutions the show the player warming up then the guy holding up the board with the numbers on and the guys shaking hands and coming of!but the game does have its downfalls : the game is not registered so the players names are not correct for example david beckham is called p.bakster but they do actually look like them ashly coles throw in looks real. The kits aswell are not correct which is a shame as there are a lot of teams which gamers may not have seen before and will not be able to see there correct kits. But the major downfall like with most gamecube games e.g wwe wrestlemania IIX have very poor sound quality with tunes which i can remember sound lke the same ones as sega saturn tunes which is not very good. I would say altogether it is a enjoyable, original game and worth buying but those of with a liking for proper players names and i must say that the game is tough i got it this christmas and have played about 5 matches a day and still i have only scored a max of 3 goals when on fifa 2002 i scored a max of 9 goals if you want an easy boring game buy fifa 2002 or 2003 if you want a challenge buy this.

It has loads of modes including a career mode and all the usual modes. Graphics are of a high quality and are probably the best seen on any sports game. The AI is quite good but the game should give you a bit more freedom because the computer controls the defensive moves and the highlighting of players. The passing, tackling and shooting is very realistic with great ball physics. Overall this game provides you with a excellent football game and one that deserves your hard earned cash
