This game absolutely sucked. There is absolutely no storymode. There is no backstages to play in. The Path of a champion loses its importance right after you get all the characters. The battle for the belts is cool until you beat it. I found myself trying to sell WMX8 for $20 just because the store wouldnt give me a refund. Oh well i guess I'll have to wait for the next game. For now though I'll just play WWEn Shut your mouth.

where to begin i dunno where to start it's such a sweet game. Ok for starters The graphics and sound are amazing. There so much to do u got hell ina cell, tlc, etc. A kick < remove me > at ss roster. The battle of the belts mode is awesome. Gameplay Rocks!!!!. I stunnered flair through the top of the cell and gave lance storm a 3d through the table. There so much to do. The rumble isn't that hard once you played more than once it's easy. Now since that outta the way all those people who said this game suxs or said raw is better I will personally come to each and evryone of your houses and beat u silly, and that's all i got 2 say bout that SUCKA!!!! if any of people need help with the game or got questions just e-mail i'll help u out.

Loads of people are given this really bad reviews but i personly dont see what all the problems are. I think it is because its for gamecube and most people who have PS2's just hate them and give them a bad name. I use to have a PS2 and got sooo board of it and traded it for a Gamecube, never looked back since. People and sayin it does not even come into the "smackdown" game range, well i honestly prefer this, the entrances are more realistic, the game play is cool and the range of matchs is good. The only thing Smackdown wins on is the fact the have more moves-wow. This game offers more than just a smackdown experiance but a wrestlemainia-bigger hits and charactors all thrown togther to fight it out in the ultimate battleing areana. If you are considering buying this game go for it-it wins hands down-great fot playing with mates.
Cant wait to buy the latest version now!!!

R u all on crack or sumthing god Well not the ones that said 18 sucked i mean cum on sure they werent able to get rites 4 music but cum on. Now ive never played ps2 but 19 is wayyyyyyyy better than 18.But i would rather get day of reckoning so all u peeple that say "save ur money 4 ps2 games" day of recokoning is gonna be way better than any other wwe game.

You guys say some pretty dumb stuff this games was ok not great but neither were any, ANY! of the smackdown games. the reason being that yukes is a terrible developer. You may notice the best games for N64 were made by AKI, and all smackdowns by yukes. when did the nintendo games start to suck you ask? I'll tell you. It was when yukes got the full contract to make WWE games, this games was still playable and alright but theres no point in comparing it to smackdown because its exactly the same (except for modes) but those change in every single wrestling game there is.
In conclusion go pluck yourselves. n64 games = score of 10
wrestlemania 18 = 6 Wrestlemania 19 = 7
WWE Day of reckoning = 9.5 love the new options and perfect i mean perfect create a wrestler but nothing will EVER beat the n64 games

Although people say that Wrestlemania X8 is not as good as No Mercy.. it still has its advantages. As a huge No Mercy fan i still love the graphics in this game. But as everyone knows.. the only downfalls that are in the game is that there is no story line. i would like to actually get to know what the feel of a wrestlers life is about.. but you can not critisize about that cause there is only so much that you can fit on that tiny disc.

It took me all of two minutes of playing this game to realize that it was going to be a huge dissapointment. I really enjoyed No Mercy for N64, and was, at the very least, expecting this game to be at least as good. The graphics are ok but the game is not smooth, especially when there are multiple wrestlers and items in the ring. Sometimes your wrestler will get pushed to the other side of the ring for no reason. Perhaps the biggest dissapointment was the lack of moves. All the other THQ wrestling games were outstanding in this department, with a huge list of moves to choose from for every character. For some reason they only included a few moves per wrestler in this game and it really makes the game repetitive. The game is also lacking some form of a carrer mode. Something with a story. They didn't really include a game mode that you could get into. I could see this game being fun if you have three buddies over and you're playing a four way hell in the cell match, but besides that, there's not much to it. I get the impression that this game was rushed. It was definetly a step backwards as far as inovative wrestling games go, as it didn't really give you anything new and failed to include many of the best features from the past games.

Look i say it's good graphically good, the entrances are way better than no mercy the videos are clear. you got all the new wrestlers the matches kick ass having 4 way cages and ladders. beats playing smackdown 2. Sure the create a wrestler mode is not that great no mercy isn't that great. So quit your complaing maybe think twice before buying rent it first and u like than buy don't whine about how wasted your money grow up!

Wrestlemania x8 needs alot of improving i try better games then this.Greate graphics the gameplay dosent bug me that much create a wrestler SUCKS only 13 faces like 4 logos cant edit wrestlers. fun facter sucks updated roster dont let the graphics fool you graphics dosent mean everthing a lot of good matchs.Booker T Ric Flair Hardy boyz and more dont have ther real music they have this cheap crap entrance theams how can they do this to wrestling fans that have gamecube.Gamecube wrestling fans have some sucky wrestling games i thought i knew thq i was depending for a greate wrestling game they had three try just like smckdown for ps2 nintendo with thq made wwf wrestlemania 2000 and no mercy to this crap wrestlemania x8. No mercy is way better wrrestlemania x8 has no story mode some stuped path of champion that sucks to if you go quick you can beat the game in a week thats how stuped the game is no shopzone like in no mercy. If you are a huge wrestling rent it first if your not you will be disapoited. Stick with n64 no mercy and wcw nwo revenge.

I like my Wrestling games such as smack down so when i saw a preview of wrestle mania 8 in a magazine i thought wow.I could'nt wait to open up a whole can of whoop ass on the rock. But as soon as i handed over 38 pounds to the shop keeper and put the little shiny disc in the cube my day got worse lets just say thank god for the 10 day money back guarantee. To be Fare the Graphics are really good i was defiantly amazed with that but thats where it ended. The creat a charcater mode is so limited it needs more options. The speed of the game is fast thats another good point. The Game also needs more diffrent modes such as coffin matches and better back room brawls. There is also no blood which is quite boring because if you get hit on the head 10 times in a row you're going to bleed. But i suppose since this is the first wrestling game on the cube other companies can learn and improve.

this game should of been more like wwf no mercy. the graphics and every think less is fine. But it just should of had a story line to path of a champion. it would been better if you could of gone to the back stage/round.It has to have more matches for exampal the 3 stages of hell match. it should of had that the person your fightig with could bleed. the create a superstar mood shold be more like wwf no mercy. i hope the next game one is better

Wrestlemania X8 is a game for people who are in the mood to let off some steam or just play around. There is a large variety of wrestlers to choose from, including names such as The Rock, Triple H, Hulk Hogan, and Rob Van Dam. The manuevers are all very well captured in image [although I was a little dissapointed with the Swanton Bomb], and there is a nice variety of matches, including the Table Match, Hell in a Cell match, and the TLC match. The major killing points are the limited characteristics in 'Create A Superstar', and the fact that there's no storyline in the game. The mark-ups are the costume accuracy and and signature poses. No other wrestling game comes close to displaying Matt and Jeff Hardy's nylon shirts, and seeing the Undertaker enter the area on his trademark motorcycle, or seeing Rikishi do his butt-shaking victory-dance is quite fun. Wrap-up: the game is fun to play [especially in multi-player], but wouldn't ever win any gaming awards.

This is a great game. I've had it for about 6 months now and I am still loving it. The graphics are some of the best I have ever seen, far better that Smackdown Shut your mouth. The sound is cool, I like how the music changes when you are in the championship match. The entrances for each superstar is original and cool and I love how there are originals for if you want to create a superstar. This game is seriously a ton of fun and I could play this all day. The value of this game I would say is still around $49.95. The only thing that this game was lacking was a story line mode, also more things to unlock would have been great. All in all this game is a slobber knocker.

It is true the game does need work. No story line mode, still can't come out to the ring with the belts. no backsatge brawling,
no crowd brawling, no announcers of any kind!But, the create-a-wrestler mode is one of the best ive seen in a while. The new(old)grapple system is much better than wrestlmainia X8 and the game play is more intense,dramatic,realistic,and more fun. Although it might not be the best per say but its close. and its a whole lot better than X8.

this game has awsome graphics it has better music than any of the other wrestling games. the only things i didnt like is how long it takes for the people to get up after being knocked down.
the spcials are a lot better. i think that this game is extemly fun.

in a sell were you can put people in to tabals its not bad theres boold but theres lots of matchs to go to so you can play for hours i give the game a 8 over smackdown but like say dont
go out and spend 30.00 dolles for this but 20s not bad i would buy it

This game was highly anticipated and it seems it was rushed out of programming. This is a button masher dream come true. It is arcade style action with very realistic graphics. But, hello, what the hell happened with the sound? The NWO music is embarrassing while Booker T's entrance theme is downright hilarious. And let us not forgot the corny background music playing during a match. Also no season mode, although there is a difficult "Path of Champions" mode but still not a season. Create a Wrestler is very in depth, there is a bunch of extras to add the wrestlers not on the roster... even Maven! Overall this can keep you entertained with its multiple game modes and selections of wrestlers but I think it leaves a void for the fans fom the N64 No Mercy days.

The game was not all that great as i expected... i'd say the graphics and sound is awesome although NWO and booker Ts music and albert still has the "too cool" music the hardys are missing their music and edge still has his old school music as well... Its missing a whole lot of wrestlers in the game such as al snow, maven, hardcore, chavo, ddp, brok, billy n chuck, raven, ric flair... unless they are hidden characters cuz all i was able to get was rhino, the game made me lose interest to try n get the rest of the characters... The entrances are the best thing i've ever seen its so realistic and feels like your in the arena. The triple threat n fatal four way as well as the 4way cage n ladder matches are a pain to win, it takes to long, or i dunno maybe im a terrible player i dont really care. The create a wrestler is very very limited to making the wrestler you exactly want, maybe in size but not the close or logos. The controls are terrible with the feel that seems exactly like smackdown! with no realism at all, the moves n controls dont feel as real compared to playing NO MERCY or Wrestlermania 2000... it doesnt make you feel like you delivered a lot of pain to your opponent and just feels like you did all the moves 4 nothin, I say yukes or THQ should have stuck with the NO MERCY controls, then it could really be called the king of all wrestlin games... I think its a waste of $50 bucks and if you didnt like smackdown!, theres no way you'll come close to liking the game WRESTLEMANIA X8... just dont buy it and save your money.
