This so todaly rocks! |
| Caitlyn Grudle from Denver,U.S.A. says (22/Nov/2003): |
Although it is a little hard to understand the language before you get the tranzlator, it is the #1 game in history(I think) I'll do ANYTHING to play it. If they make starfox adventures 2, they might as well make 100,000,000,000,000,000, too. If I do say so myself. This game todaly rocks!!!!!!

Nintendo will find it very hard to make a better game! |
| A gamer from Vaucluse, France says (5/Jul/2003): |
The game I find is extremely easy to complete but the story, graphics and sound are amazing.
There are afew really sad characters, I mean Prince Tricky shouting every 2 seconds:"Hey Fox! Over here!", or,
"Wait for me!", I mean, how lame is that. They could find some harder and cooler enemys aswell but still, th game rules.
I think it ranks as high as Zelda and I hope that they come up with another one, as long as he has his blaster, I think it would've been alot better with it.

This is what he says to Fox. "I've been looking forwand to this day. To see you again, Fox McCloud." and then fox says "Andross!" Then Andross says
"And now to destroy the Lylat System! And he that like a reterded person. Although he isn't EVEN a person! lol! and Tricky is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DUMB!!! YOU CAN MAKE HIM WALK INTO FIRE!!! Can't Compare |
| Pyjamadance from Australia says (30/Dec/2003): |
Comparing Starfox Adventures a to high level advenure games like zelda isn't going to prove a thing, the two games are different in both gameplay and theory. Starfox Adventures has average graphics, and sound, but a high level gameplay. The game features all its original characters with a few new additions to the crew. In comparison to Starfox 64, Starfox Adventures has improved in all gaming field areas. While the game is relatively easy to complete, it is an action packed game, and being simple to complete, it makes it possible for younger kids to enjoy and complete on there own.

the best game in da whole world |
| Owen from toronto ontario canada says (25/Feb/2004): |
the grafics are amasing. they are ausome.the game is really really fun and tricky at some points but yu can get through it. the bosses are not difficult but not easy. the game is very long so if u want saomthing to do you can play gamecube. Fox is the best. the way he attacks is sooooooooooooooooooooooooo cool. if you get a choice of a game deffinitly ask for starfox adventures. number 1 game in da world. it is auwsom trust me. the prince learns all sorts of moves like a flame thrower. it is wicked. i can not belive ppl think this is a bad game. it is 1 of the best. if u love zelda u will love this one and ppl who do not like zelda u will still love this game

| Caitlyn Grudle from Denver,Co.,U.S.A. says (23/Nov/2003): |
StarFox Adventure ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I thought Zelda was#1, but NOTHING can compare to this!!!! It's a hi-tech, motion picture, with a mild violance and annimated blood like Zelda. but you have to save a whole PLANET insted of a girl or boy. I gotta say it is #1 in the UNIVERSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Average at best |
| Zerg-kun from OK, USA says (22/Oct/2002): |
Same old, same old. It's very similar to other rare games, but this time adds a bit of Ocarina of Time with the lock on system. Even the music sounds the same, the same as Jet Force Gemini, maybe you've noticed it? Another thing i don't like are the maps, they show all the levels of the area so it makes it hard to navigate. This is something i would have like taken from Zelda, too. Then another thing i didn't like was obtaining items or skills that you only use in that one area and hardly ever again, if at all(see: moon seed). I have heard complaints, like having to solve puzzles with little or no idea wha to do, well i liked that. Its a nice change from the obvious. And your partner, Tricky, really isn't that annoying, pretty fun actually. Play fetch and watch him change colors. Why, I'll never know. My only complaint on Tricky would be if you try to do a 180, and tricky is following too closely, he makes you stop right in your tracks and go around him. The combos you do with your staff are pretty neat looking in the beginning, but the lack of new things to do with it will get old, good thing you need to employ different methods on bosses. Graphics are all crisp and nice, none of that "when a character is so far away it disappears until you get closer" junk. I remember reading something saying this game will last about 100 hours... It only took me about 10, maybe they were using the metric system. It may seem like I'm bashing the game alot, but I really liked it, but I don't want to play it again, I'm glad i rented it.

1 of 3 best games ever |
| Sparks from foster, rhode island says (31/Oct/2002): |
Now i've played a lot of games, and this one, although it is quite short, is one of the best ever. The other two are ocarina of time, and smash bros melee. This game was so awesome, it had the arwing missions, and land missions. it reminded me of zelda. The storyline was really good, and i won't give anything away, but that is what made me want to play so much. also i though that when fox fights with the staff it was wicked fun, because there were different ways to do it each time depending on the directional that was used with the 'a' button. I cannot wait for the next one to come out, and im hoping it will be very soon, and for gamecube, not the next system that'll come out. the only bad part, (and it being short certainly wasn't bad) is that there is no multiplayer, or unless i haven't unlocked it, but i would have definately liked that. also if there is a multiplayer, i think that there should be ai bots. if not in this one, then in the next one.

This is how the GameCube Zelda game SHOULD be... |
| Falco Lombardi's Biggest Fan from Sector Z says (30/Nov/2002): |
I got Starfox Adventures...what...3 days ago, and I have played it SO much, that I'm over half-way through! This game is AMAZING! The fighting? Beautiful. The scenery? Brathtaking. Transitions between scenes? Wonderful. Starfox Adventures is just another Zelda game, under the disguise of Arwings and Scales, fur and flying. In fact, this is exactly how the new Zelda game SHOULD be, instead of *grumble grumble* Cel-shaded. I recommend this game to anyone who enjoy Zelda and/or any puzzle games. Now, if I could just convince the makers of Zelda to make their new game like Starfox Adventures...hmmm....

could be the best, but one thing |
| Andrew from Pennsylvania, USA says (15/Dec/2002): |
Salutations! I have been a starfox fan since I first saw starfox 64. When I herd Starfox Adventures was coming out the only thing I could think about was the game. When I got it I went straight to playing... until I hit a part that stumped me. How do you tap hard enough to beat Mucslefoot in the stregth contest. That fustraited me... and that is why I gave it a nine. I know people out there, that you probally past it with ease, but I can not seem to beat it.
On the other hand I think this is a fantastic game and Rare out did there selves on their last game on Nintendo. But it brings a tear to my eye when I think that there will be no more starfox games. Snif, snif.
|
How could this game stink? It's Awesome! |
| Tanya Kozak from Pennsylvania, USA says (20/Jan/2003): |
Star Fox Adventures is an awsome game! Not only for the highly detailed graphics,(which won an award at E-3)but for the play control, storyline, and great characters. It's neat how all the characters talk differently. The game also has a good challenge once and a while,(there's no way anyone can beat the game easy!).Actually, I can't think of anything bad about it! It's certainly an improvement over the N64 and super NES versions, except for the tragic dissapearance of Falco...(where did he go?)Fox needed to stretch his legs, and this was the perfect opportunity to do so!
|
The best game ever since Starfox 64 |
| Kelsey P. from San Gabriel, CA, USA says (25/Jan/2003): |
I'm a big Starfox fan, and Rare did a good job with Starfox Adventures. It's not hard to say why- It has good gameplay, an awesome plot, and the best graphics ever. Tell me I'm crazy if you can't clearly see the individual stands of fur on Fox. I just wish it was a bit longer. It only took me 13 hours to get through it. Of course, I used a guide. If I didn't, it would've taken me a lot longer. I'm glad that there's a game out there that has high difficulty. In short, a exellcent game for RPG- players.

Starfox! |
| Luke McCarty from Crossville TN u.s.a. says (21/Mar/2003): |
I an a StarFox fan.I have the starfox64 and I also have it for gamecube. This rules because of the graphics and the sound very realistic. It was challenging with the puzzles and all.Nearly impossible but fun.Starfox is like Zelda games but with Fox McCloud instead of Link.

Great gameplay, moderate story |
| Voltz Megawatt from nowhere, somewhere says (29/Jan/2004): |
I have always been a starFox fan since the release of the first one for the SNES. After the first two flight sims, I needed some on-foot andventure.
The gameplay in this game is great--it's one of THE most fun games I've ever played, right up there with Super Smash Bros. Melee and Banjo-Tooie. The graphics are better than anything I've seen--though they say Gamecube has less graphic quality than the Heck's Box, this surpasses it. It looks REAL. Even with Halo, you could tell the images were computerized polygons--fox actually looks like a woodland animal in this one. Seeing as each strand is an individual polygon, this is no surprise.
I was disappointed at first by the lack of a jump button, but you can still jump when you need to. I really like the staff fighting--the use of different combos, especially the one where you pull back on the stick, is very cool. One of the previous reviewers complained that there weren't enough combos. This is actually good--too many combos and you forget most of them.
The Arwing missions weren't very good. They needed 3-D flying, and a boss at the end of each one, as well as an in-$#< remove me > at !pit view. Graphics were good, though.
the soundtrack kicked butt. StarFox had some good songs, and some bad ones. StarFox 64's soundtrack simply sucked. SFA supercedes both its predecessors, especially with Krystal's saxophone song, the Sonic style electric guitar music, and the Andross theme.
The only thing I really didn't like was the magic. StarFox is a sci-fi, futuristic, technological game series. If you want wierd stuff like magic and spellsones, get a Zelda game.

This is the almost the BEST dang game ever |
| Aaron G. from Paducah (Kentucky) U.S. says (25/Mar/2004): |
This game has great graphics, story, ect. The game is addictive if u play it for 5 minites. Same boss but was dang hard to beat.
The girl was a good addition to the game and tricky was annoying
out of my mind but i lived. the bosses were to easy and the best boss is galdon but still easy to beat. The first boss for the spellstone was to stupid,in and out in and out. They should have left General scales as a main boss or atleast a boss. other than that there is no better game than this!!!
|
GOOOOOOO,FOX!!! YAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
| Christa Apone from Denver,U.S.A. says (22/Nov/2003): |
I think Tricky is cute, but what's up with "I'm not doing it"? Anyway, can there be easier missions? I'm up to the point where you go back to Thorntail Hollow and I can't find the dumb warp thingy the snowhorn gave me. Is it even in the hollow, or is it somewhere else? Eather way, IT IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

| Taylor from Dever,Colorado says (18/Jun/2003): |
Star Fox Adventures is one of the funest and best games ever. The game is not that hard but in some places it could be challending. But the game is really fun. I like the game because the game is fun and because it is a little hard. I hope that they come out with another Star Fox game too.

Excellent game...but not perfect |
| Erika from Chaville, France says (14/Jan/2004): |
This game was really cool... I certainly enjoyed it. It's not too hard, but not too easy either. There are, however a few problems: the game's a bit too short, and the last battle is soooo annoying to do, and what happens after you've finished? All you can do is try to fight the last battle AGAIN! I wish I could check out the place on free mode... And it's a bit difficult with all the running around all over the place and all. But, aside from that, the graphics are excellent, the controls aren't too hard, the story and screen shots are cool, and on the whole it's a fun game to have.
