Star Fox Rox!!!!!!! |
| Kiona from CT, USA says (25/Apr/2003): |
I love the Game Cube version of Star Fox. It provides much more challenging aspects than Star Fox 64, too! The graphics are incredible-I've never seen a game with better graphics in the entire Nintendo series. Every thing looks so real! The music was superb, it set the mood of Fox's surroundings, which is always great. I like the sound effects too-They're perfect. This game is enchantingly difficult and way addictive. I found my self literally playing this game all day. I think that that proves how much I like it. Another thing about this game that is good is the intense length and suspense. I hate those video games that I can defeat in a snap- there's really no point in spending so much money on a game if you can defeat it in a week something like that. All in all,the game is wonderful(the only thing I'd change is the $50 price tag-not every one is made of money!)!:)

Great Game! |
| Matt from Ohio,Usa says (24/Apr/2003): |
THis Game Is The Greatest Game Ever. It Is Better Than Plastation2 Or X-Box. The sound Of The T-Rex (RedEye)Is Not To Good,But That Is No Problem. Grphichs (I Dont Know If I Spelled That Word Right) Are GREAT! And The Story-Line Is Beutifull(Like With About All Nintendo Games). One Review (Not On This Website)Told Me "Older Gamers May Not Get Turned On About The Simple Game-Play" Yha Right! This Game Can Get About Erevry One In On It, Only If You Like This Kainda Game.

It's really cool |
| A gamer says (18/Apr/2003): |
I really like the game so far even though I haven't beaten it and I'm Just borrowing it from my neighbor. So far the game seems to be really cool and really, really confusing. Like I said, I haven't beaten the Game yet so I can't say all that much about it.

Starfox 64 is WAY BETTER than this game |
| Zack A. from U.S.A. says (6/Apr/2003): |
My favorite game is Starfox 64 because it is very fun in the Arwing. I think all games have somthing unique about them (like Zelda-puzzles, Super smash bros.-fighting, Mario-adventure, Starfox-flying, ect.), and fox flys the Arwing for what? 6 LEVELS and one boss in the Arwing, and what happened to their team, howcome they dont fly the Arwing anymore?? Starfox 64 has a boss on every level. Bottom line, I don't like this game very much, but im looking forward to the Starfox Armada thats comming out. I'm guessing it will come out in 2003 or 2004

New improved graphics, New charicter, Same old big boss |
| Time from Stone England says (27/Mar/2003): |
Star Fox adventures was a graphicly stuning game and had incredable gameplay. The levals were vast, idilic and very interactive. They also gave a good impresion of that they were unearthly. The sounds were not particularly obnoxious, but "Thorn Tail Holow" got on my nerves. The life span of this game is at least 12hours of play for £39.99. Compaired to "Mtroid Ptime" which has 40hours of play for £39.99, Star Fox Adventures is not very good value for money. The fun-factor of this game I would give a 10 because There are many chalanges (some of which are very chalenging) scattered about the levals. To See fox out of his airwing and this adds much more exitement to the game. Crystal's staff is a great asset to SFA and its upgrades add a new dimention of play to Fox. Two Problems; 1 - Its a lot like Zelda: Oricarno of Time. 2 - It's Adross AGAIN! Couldent Rare come up whith any better ideas than a floting monkey whith hands? All in all I very much enjoyed playing SAF.

| Luke McCarty from Crossville TN u.s.a. says (21/Mar/2003): |
I an a StarFox fan.I have the starfox64 and I also have it for gamecube. This rules because of the graphics and the sound very realistic. It was challenging with the puzzles and all.Nearly impossible but fun.Starfox is like Zelda games but with Fox McCloud instead of Link.

It's the Best Game Out There |
| Johnnie from Tupelo, Ms, USA says (19/Mar/2003): |
I like Star Fox Adventures because you really have to think when you play this game. The graphics are tight. I wish you could use whoever you want to use like Falco or Bill on Star Fox 64. But overall, it is the best adventure game I've played since Donkey Kong 64.

Best game I played |
| Steven Mac Dougall from Nova Scotia,Canada says (15/Mar/2003): |

THIS GAME ROCKED!!!!! |
| R. Fitzgerald from K/W, ON, CA says (7/Mar/2003): |
This game was very fun and challenging! The graphics could been a bit better. (The fur on some characters have some errors if you look close enough) But still, very good graphics. The game had some pretty tough and strategic enemies. I didn’t like some parts. (E.G: The DarkIce Mines boss just freaked me out!) My favourite floating levels are, (From best to least) 1: Dragon Rock, 2: CloudRunner Fortress, 3: Walled City and 4: DarkIce Mines. It also had some neat twists like the end with Andros (you could just picture him at the end) and the return of Falco. The game had an gate storyline and game play. (The Arwing missions could have been a little bit longer) Star Fox Rocks!

A great character and a great game. |
| Sean McCabe from Dundee, Scotland says (12/Feb/2003): |
There have been mixed feelings about this game. I for one like it very much, a lot more than Mario Sunshine. The graphics are beautiful, you feel as if your wandering in a living, breathing world. The music is very Zelda-ish but I have no problem with that. It's also great in terms of narrative, Fox, gifted with the ability to speak (unlike most Nintendo characters) is definitely a very good character to play as, you feel you can take on the whole of Dinosaur Planet (which is pretty much what your asked to do). A part of me wanted this game to be like Jet Force Gemini so you get to blast dinos apart with big guns, but then both Nintendo and Mr Turok wouldn't have liked that much. As it is it's an excellent adventure game that only has one fault, and that is called Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

What a game |
| code name 555 from Las Angeles, California, USA says (7/Feb/2003): |
This game was great. I'm great at video games, and star fox adventures was a challenge. It was complecated but I still think they could have done alot better. The graphics are asome, but the characters are alittle bit older. ( I didn't like that part) This game had suspense, for example where was Falco. But he came to the rescue later in the game. I must say, This game is one of the best i've ever played. Go Star Fox.

star fox |
| bro to code name 555 from Las Angeles, California. says (7/Feb/2003): |
I love star fox the game, its a good game. The game got a nine out of ten because it wasn't perfect. THis is because the levels with the ships were too short. But stil of you looking for a game full of adventure than this is a game for you.

The best game ever since Starfox 64 |
| Kelsey P. from San Gabriel, CA, USA says (25/Jan/2003): |
I'm a big Starfox fan, and Rare did a good job with Starfox Adventures. It's not hard to say why- It has good gameplay, an awesome plot, and the best graphics ever. Tell me I'm crazy if you can't clearly see the individual stands of fur on Fox. I just wish it was a bit longer. It only took me 13 hours to get through it. Of course, I used a guide. If I didn't, it would've taken me a lot longer. I'm glad that there's a game out there that has high difficulty. In short, a exellcent game for RPG- players.

Excellent Game for People without Time |
| Andy from New York, New York says (25/Jan/2003): |
Actually, I can't hear it anymore. Too short, too easy : bugger off. With no spare time to spent this is a fabulous game. I've been on it for 3 months now, getting closer to the end, and NEVER got frustrated. Kids with 10 hours a day of spare time -- sure, too easy. Adults with less time : perfect. I don't want to spend 20 hrs per boss just because you have to do 17 moves in the right combination 10 times in a row to take 10% off of the bosses life meter !
Oh, excellent story telling, increadible graphics, crisp sound. Go out and buy NOW.

A good game, but it could be better. |
| Kevin from Midland, USA says (20/Jan/2003): |
Overall, The game is pretty good. However it does have a few flaws. The game hardly spends any time in the Arwing. In my opinion, the airial dogfights are what Star Fox is supposed to be about. Second, the game is too short. If you're a good video gamer, then this game probably won't be a chalange for you. On the other hand, it does give us another side of Fox. Other than Super Smash Bros. (N64) and Super Smash Bros. Melee (GCN) Fox never left the Arwing. The combat action is good and the storyline is great. The graphics are extremely good (you can see the fur on Fox wave in the wind) and the gameplay is good. However, I just want to know one thing: WHAT HAPPENED TO FALCO??
He was in Super Smash Bros. Melee, but he wasn't in Star Fox Adventures. Overall, if you are new to gaming or just want to have something to do for a while, this game is for you. I give this game a rating of 6 out of 10.

too easy |
| crocodill from Paris, France says (20/Jan/2003): |
i beat it too fast, they need harder flying levels and the bosses are way too easy. I beat that King Redeye guy in one try without knowing how to hurt him. it is kind of fun, but not that great. Music stinks, its not like the old one for 64. Gamecube music isn't as memorable as nintendo 64.
|
How could this game stink? It's Awesome! |
| Tanya Kozak from Pennsylvania, USA says (20/Jan/2003): |
Star Fox Adventures is an awsome game! Not only for the highly detailed graphics,(which won an award at E-3)but for the play control, storyline, and great characters. It's neat how all the characters talk differently. The game also has a good challenge once and a while,(there's no way anyone can beat the game easy!).Actually, I can't think of anything bad about it! It's certainly an improvement over the N64 and super NES versions, except for the tragic dissapearance of Falco...(where did he go?)Fox needed to stretch his legs, and this was the perfect opportunity to do so!
|
If you're new to the genre it's great but it's nothing new |
| hugh from London says (11/Jan/2003): |
First impressions of the game are good, excellent graphics and controls but the voice acting is dire in places. What makes this worse is your dino sidekick who would be a better buddy in a Barney the Dinosaur game. Combat is fun at first but gets repetitive and you are sent on endless hunts for items by other characters, there is little variety. It's almost as if Rare couldn't be bothered to come up with anything new but if you haven't played the Zelda games on the N64, you might get more out of it than i did.

Intelligent, cute n furry....! |
| Marx from Bristol, UK says (5/Jan/2003): |
After playing Fox on the SNES & the 64 I was expecting a high standard of game. Although I new using the Starwings would be limited, I think they where too limited. I’ve never played a RPG before & found it a real rewarding experience. Why does the game say 99% when completed, is there something I never did? Lets hope this new Star Fox (flying ) by Namco will live up to the legend of the fist two with graphics as fine as this adventure.

Great game and graphics for Star fox |
| Joel Jones from Surrey, England says (3/Jan/2003): |
I got this game for Xmas and I was stunned by the graphics and play speed. I have always been a Star fox fan ever since I got Starwing. I must admit it is a lot like Zelda but with more annoying puzzles. I love the game and console and hope future games will show that damned Xbox how crap it is and that they realise just how inferior the graphics are on that machine. I think Prince Tricky is really cute. The songs on the game are quite fun and I especially liked the Krazoa Palace tune since it is nice'n'catchy. One star has to go off though, due to the lifespan of the game since it just takes a day or so and you're halfway through the game already! (mind you, I do play for long hours)The Arwing missions are compelling but I wish there was a boss at the end of them as that is something I really miss from Starwing and Lylat wars. The voices are top notch and Slippy's voice is funny but I have noticed that the Star Fox team have American accents but nearly all the dinosaurs are British!! And I have never heard of a huge warpstone with a Scottish purr before! Overall the game is definitely an exiting one.
