Not bad, but has the potential to be much better!12307

R.A. from Pennsylvania, USA says (3/Dec/2002):
This game is not bad. The plus sides to it are many like: decent graphics, good fighting engine, good difficulty(not to easy, not to hard) and the realism is there, to a degree. The minus sides are basically the other side of the plus side. The graphics are decent, but with the power the PS2 has they should be better. The fighting engine can be enhanced with more fighting styles in the beginning like Muai Thia(my personal fav.) The realism is my biggest beef with this game. As far as the 'in the octagon' realism, it's great, but the career mode needs expanded by giving the gamer more options for what the fighter looks like, the stance you want them in,(regardless of discipline), entrance music and moves, kind of like a wrestling game. I am looking forward to the next one. Better than Tekken!

if youve played the dreamcast version skip this!7823

philmanuts from rochester ny usa says (13/Jun/2002):
Im a big ufc fan, so i was eager to play this game. its not a bad game but its pretty much the same as the dreamcast version. There is still no facial damage, the characters look like cardboard cutouts, still no side mount position, no one-hit knockouts, the create a fighter mode is very weak, you can pick a few different styles, but once you pick your style the closest thing you can do for changing your fighters look is picking his color, height and weight. (the weight makes no difference in this game since jens pulver takes off the same damage when he punches as gary goodridge) where is matt hughes? ok this game isnt a complete abortion, they added vitor belfort this time. ill probably keep this game until pride fc comes out for ps2. Bottom line is if you've played out the DC version, you can do without this game.

Solid Gameplay, a couple grafic errors7692

gameboy from Lawrence, USA says (8/Jun/2002):
This is a really good game, if you are a fan of UFC or want to learn a lot about it, this is the game. Old school fans will love the dan severn return. The fence is now a weapon you can push oppents into it to ensure a takedown. Now the one glitch in the game is a couple times you get slowdown near the fence, (rare). Once or twice every thirty min the fighters will seprate but remain on ground as if still in the guard. overall great fighting engine, good extras like career mode. I made a bruce lee clone. Buy or rent it's money well spent
