I love Yoshi and this game just happend to have him, but I had to rate it a 8 becase some levles are hard but most are easy. I have 81 shine sprites but I'm stuck on 1 of the mini-games, so like said befor it's easy and a just little bit hard all at the same time. I love the game not just becas it has Yoshi but becase I needed a chalange and this was just the thing. I also love that you can bounce on people and then they yell at you, I know thats not nice but I think it's funny the badguys are cool too I espeshily like the goop monster there fun to kill. 1 thing I hate is when your low on life then it dings and it bugs me espeshily when you cant find any coins too heal you. I think its fun to make mario sleep espeshely when your in tall grass or in a tree, I also love rideing on boates and sliding so you go faster. the thing I love to do besides ride Yoshi is too clean up all the goop (eaven thoe I hate to clean my room)I wood highly recamend this game too any one whos looking for a fun chalinging game with Yoshi.

Super Mario Sunshine was one of the most highly anticipated titles due to arrive on the Gamecube console, The game's aim is to collect Shine sprites "I call them stars" anyway An evil villain in the image of Mario has been causing all kinds of problems on Isle Delfino and has caused the Shine sprites to disapear from there gathering spot at the Shine gate.
Mario has been given the job to clear the intire island and restore Vitality by collecting the Shine sprites along the way.
Mario equips himself with a Water jet apparatus in doing so he uses it to wash away the icky goop. For the few first hours of gameplay i found it quite enjoyable and the graphics seemed great, later however it did start to feel a little childish and very short. The collecting of stars did not have the same effect/feel than its predecessor Mario 64.
Super Mario Sunshine is very short lived and shows that it has been rushed, "Nintendo slow down" (They could have made a better sequel in my view.

I don't know what the other guys are thinkn', but this game is soooo good, that I cannot put it down for a long time. Even though I am stuck...I must admit that the game itself it extremely difficult in some areas, but it has awesome graphics, sound, and an interesting plot. The long story line is great, because I want to keep playing this game as long as humanly possible! 10 out of 10 for sure, this game rocks! Me love it! I do agree with some of the other reviews though, sometimes you will desperatley need a good walkthroough and some coffee. Plus sugar. Gotta have sugar. In other words, this game rocks and is one of the best that I have evr played, out of the E games, that is. The graphics could be better, I guess, they are still pretty good though. The sound is awesome, I love the songs, but sometimes, Mario just won't jump, will he. The controls could be a little better as well, though, they are still pretty good. Definetly a good game! Rock on Mario!

This game is very fun.Ive beat the whole game already.its a very exciting game.well,i mean it was pretty hard but it wasnt as hard as the mario 64 game.I love to clean up all the mess and beat up all the bad guyz.I still think u should fight many more bosses like maybe even ur own brother luigi.i gave it a 9 and not 10 because this game is very long and hard.i never thought that i would be it.At first,i hated this game in the beginning because it was boring but then when u get more to middle and end parts,it gets more exciting.I also like it when u must do people favors.My favorite level is the level where u fight the boos.This game is 1 of my favorite games in the world.I will never trade this game in for another game.I hope they make another mario game that is a little shorter so i could rate it 10!So any body who is interested in these games should buy them.Dont be ashamed that ur friends will laugh at u because if they do laugh u will have the last laugh

What can I say that has not already been said? The graphics are average, fair enough, but they do the job and keep the atmosphere well. The actual characters are quite pleasing on the eye, with nice animations. People who say it looks too childish are elitist pigs who do not appreciate the enormous playability of the game. I was overjoyed when I dscovered the sewer system and the sense of freedom is great. The rollercoaster is cool as well, and deserves special mention.
The FMV, although not particually spectacular, was fairly amusing with Mario drooling over the local delacies. As for originality, excuse me, hello? name me one game like this. Nothing beats sliding down a hill at 70mph on your belly in the mud, or shooting down an enemy from fifteen feet. The level of thinking from the designers is mensa-challenging and pretty fun. One of my favourite things is running over the rooftops and bouncing off walls. Fun. Excellent game, so buy it.

This is the coolest game eva! Mario's new moves are cewl, but I noticed they are not like they were in the older versions of Mario. This is one of the down-sides to this game. Some of the levels are hard to get to also, but if you get a cheat guide or look on the web for tips the game is a ton more enjoyable. The graphics are pretty good, but it tends to give me a head-ache if I play it too long. The sound affects aren't very great either. I have been sitting on my bed, playing this game for about three hours and I still haven't gotten bored like I have with a lot of other games, so the game is very enjoyable alltogether, but like I said, unless you are a total video game wizard you really do need a good cheat guide before you really get into the game. Another thing about the game is that Mario's lifespan is a ton longer than it was in the older versions of Mario. I think that this game was totally worth the money!

I love yoshi and this game was great I have 32 shine sprites but I think that yoshi should be able to come in all colours, have siblings and swim! They should make a game with mario and liugi and have them go on some yoshi quest to find all yoshi colours and they should have lil stables kinda like final fantasy! Hey they should mix Mario, Yoshis, Luigi etc.. with final fantasy oh yeah now thats what I give an imaginary rate of 50! I love that Yoshi! hey what about a half chocobo half yoshi hmmmmm sounds WACKY! I mean sure it is good but there should be other islands like the one shaped like a crab could be like lets say uh? crab island? Now there would be more levels more islands and new characters like make a character that is a dragon and there would be a lot of dragons who love eating yoshis and they have to defeat all the dragons but there would be one just one dragon called mini mark and he loves yoshis!

Mario Sunshine did not take long to beet for meand was fairly easy. I think there should be more shines to get and more twists and hidden secrets. Like when you think you finished the game something else should happen. You should have to fight the boss more and their should be more or different boses then just bowser. I liked the story line having baby bowser in it, too bad mario didnt get too fight him though. The game was still fun and I enjoyed playing it, but i didnt think the graphics were too great. They were alright but bowser could of been better. The levels were fun but pretty easy. Also they should of made more cheats or codes. I dont think there were many glitches which is good. There should have been more characters like Luigi or Waluigi in it. Yoshi should have been able to swim and be more involved in the game too. I liked the music through out the game and the sound effects.

I can't put my controller down, in fact I'm currently playing it! I have 89 shines and really enjoy it! I think that the videos are really funy, especially, the ending one! I hope that they make a sequal to this game, because this game has the best graphics, sound, gameplay, challenges, and plot! The downside is, this game is short, even with all the extras such as collecting every coin in every level, it will max out to 70 hours, where as the minnimum time that anyone has done everything was 32 hours! Here is a little story about it! On a tropical island, far from the Mushroom Kingdom, among the people enchanted by sunshine, Mario has taken a brake from the hopping, the bopping, and saving the princess to take a well deserved vacation, or so he thinks! But this fall, something is a muck in paradise, throw fireballs at him laugh at his mustache, but do not mess with his vacation!

This game is great!!!!!! the graphics are almost to good to be true.Surer mario 64 graphics sucked compared to this,mario is pionty in that game!!!But mario sunshine has round parts instead of square unclear shapes. the controles are easy, people that have never played vidiogames mastered the controles in 3 minuts! there are many secrets in the game so if you don't use stratagy guides it might take years.but it's not too hard ,FLUDD gives some hints so you don't get stuck on a level for too long.the sound ... there's no word for how good it is.very good ideas some are kind of strange,but good, like piantas and noki people.I don't know how they thought of yoshi regurgitating juice but anyway more about the game. there are brand new enemies and some old ones like boos, pirana plants, and bloopers.this game is super.It's even in the title. *super* mario sunshine!!!

This game was so much fun! It is much different from the other Mario Games made before because mario has FLUDD, a waterpack. I was really impressed with the graphics. They really bring the game to life. The game wasn't too hard, but I got stuck on a few levels. Even after I beat it, it will be fun to play on my favorite levels. These were serina beach and pinna park. Pinna Park is an amusement park with a roller coaster and other rides. The music in pinna park is great to listen to. It is so energetic that it is perfect for an amusement park. I also like the music in many other levels. The main point of the game is to get shine sprites but there is much more to the game than that. There is collecting blue coins and saving peach. Super Mario Sunshine has a great plot. It is more than just Peach getting captured. I would recommend this game for anyone!

i think mario sunshine is really good. it's graphics are good, and the sound is good. the characters (basically the same) are good. though i don't much like the princess in this one.. she's a bit prissy. it is long though, and frustrating. if you go into a level, and then go into another area from there, it take you back to the main place and everything you did in the first level you were doing is gone. and that's ANNOYING. and also the stupid spider is annoying as well. but for the most part, it's pretty addictive. and funny as well. if you jump onto a rope and get so he's just hanging on to it with his hands, and if you have the turbo nozzle, spray the turbo nozzle and he'll start spinning in circles. press a and he'll fly off. it's pretty cool and i'd recommend it to pretty much everyone. especially if you are very persistent. you'll need it.

Super Mario Sunshine is an excellent game with realistic functions and I think that the idea of a robot water device is very imaginative. The game has a lot to it like yoshi the dinasuar squirting juice at enemies such as the koopers and licking up enemies like sleeping boo. I particularly liked stage 6 in Noki Bay because of the episode where you needed to unblock the waterfall. It was quite hard and I had trouble completing it. The hardest part of the game was not killing Bowser but it was on level 2 Surfing Kooper Safari because you were being timed and it could only give you the shine sprite if your time was 45 seconds or less and once I done it in 46 seconds which was really frustrating!! I really enjoyed the special effects of Princess Peach flying through the air with her parasol and the screens at the end of the game.

This game shows so far the best the Gamecube can do! The graphics are incredible. There is alot of things you can do. You just do about anything in this game. Adding the waterpak helps out even more with the gameplay and is fun to use. Bringing back yoshi to ride also adds great replay value to the game. I think trying to complete the whole game would let it take several hours to complete. I like how they incorporated some of the original gaming music into this game and redone it. I bought the game just 2 days ago and I cannot stop playing it. This game is addictive! The controls fit perfectly to playing. You dont get confused when trying to do several things. If this is just the beginning of what Nintendo has to offer then I cant wait until the other 1st party games start coming out!

This game is best since Mario 64! The Graphics are extremly improved! The music is extremly improved! In Mario64 I heard MIDI music, instead of MP3 music on the gamecube. I could see block-like figures in Mario64, but on the gamecube, everything is smooth! Nice plot and storyline, nice bosses too! I also liked the cut scenes, and being able to ride ol' yoshi! The water graphics is so realistic on this system, and realistic worlds...depth was put into this game! You can see birds and slide down tunnels, swim with the fish, interactibility (sorry if i spelled it wrong)was realistic. I enjoyed playing this game mainly because I had gotten a Gamecube and wanted to have fun! I have Mario Party 4, Super Mario Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion, Super Smash Bros Melee (Gotta Love it!!!), and Pikmin!

wow. how can I explain the utter enormity of the discomfort I get when playing this obnoxiously disfunctional game or shall I say, piece of horse crap. Might I remind everyone out there that mario is a fat plumber who needs a good swift flogging with his fludd water device. Who would want to play this game? Perhaps some loser, working at game stop, who needs a life because his friends dumped him at the Auntie Anee's booth. I used to like Mario a lot, I mean, the originols cannot be beat. But did Nintendo need to replace this butt kicking mario for this romping flamer whoose better off in bed with luigi. Once again, I'd like to express my extreme hatred of this game and how much I would like to never ever again see it is the vicinity of a game stop of other for of game develpment

even my 14 year old cuz liked it too it was so good that I could
not stop playing my 4 year old sis liked it too hope you vot e for me.oh I forgot let me give you a hint in Episode 8 in Ricco Harbor.When you are on the yoshi he wiil be purple.Next squirt juice at the fish when they jump.then they will turn into platforms.The purple juice make them go left,right and straiht.When you get on th metal platform jump on the small island on the left of mario.Then squirt jucie at the coconut(green coconut)then yoshi will turn pink and then jump back on the metal platform and squirt juice at the fish in frontof you.then he will turn into a platform that goes up and down
(you will figure out the rest) GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

This is the best mario game ever. (Well, it's kinda tied with double dash) I love the graphics. The sound is pretty good. (Except when you go to pinna park, on the clam ride, the guy's flute is soo gay). Having yoshi in there was a great idea. The puzzles fusterate me soo much, but then I go to a different level, then I try them again. It's soooooo awsome, better than any 64 game. 10 out of 10!!! Try it!!!!! Any mario fan must try it. For 40$ cdn, thats an awsome game. The water looks sooo real. I like that very much. One of my favorite levels were in Ricco Harbour. When you had to climb up all the ladders and stuff! Awsome. The pizzles with turning logs and stuff, really fusterated me. (I almost broke my wireless controler) Anyway, it's sooo cool! You have got to try it!

This game is too short,I got all stars (120) And I just bought the game 4 weeks ago,It sucked! I hated it sooooooo mush,I'd never play it again when I beaten It,Cause I was Really Angry with Nintendo that they made it soooooo short,I can't believe how short it is,Last game was 15 worlds,this one only has 7!!!!! I am very disapointed with nintendo,Myamoto always makes a long game,But this game was Like a Demo!!! So,If you want to have a great game,make it Zelda,The Wind Waker,cause This game was toooooo short!!!! And If you don't take my Advise,Prepare to be mad at the end,But if your not sure,Just take my advise don't listen to all the other people,They just want you to waste money.

ok i played this game thinking it would be normal cool mario. instead they gave him a hella gay water pack and made all the characters all smiley looking its like all happy go lucky and stuff and it pi$$es me off. why cant they make another good game like super mario 64. the only cool thing about this game was the bowser at the end which kicked rear why cant they just make mario like he looked in super smash bros he rules in that now hes all gay and cell shaded thats another thing that sucks the stupid cell shaded stuff it was cool how bowser talked tho that was pretty sweet i really didnt like the squirter thing at all there were a few cool new jumps but besides that it was bad it was cool how you could get a hawiian shirt and glasses that was sweet
