It's interesting to read everybody elses views of this game. especially the people that poorly rate it. Me on the other hand, being a die hard Nintendo and Mario fan, I could give it anything less than 10/10. Supurb. It's a shame that some people can't see what this game is, and how it's predessors (esp on teh NES) brought platform gamming to a new level. You can say what you will, but in my opinion the game truely follows the same blueprint of all other great platform games, and will be remembered foundly :) Shine!

I was a big fan of mario and i was disipointed.I use to play mario 64 and it was fun.So when mario sunshine came out I was excited and I had to have.What I dont like about it is that damn fludd machine.It gets complicated and takes the fun out of the game. Then i thought that using yoshi would make the game better but it didnt.He just got on my nerves. I had more fun playing mario on the regular nintendo.They should have stuck with the classic way of controling mario instead of having to deal with that fludd crap.

Super Mario Sunshine seems to be the best games for Gamecube! It's a bit like Luigi's Mansion when Luigi has the Ghost-sucking Vacuum Cleaner on his back. Now, Mario has the Fludd thing on his back for squirting water. The story mode is quite funny, but all the time finding Blue Coins and washing paints and that are a bit of a challenge! What's the point of having Yoshi hate water? Yoshi swims on other games! Some Piantas are immature to you at first, but they'll sure be very nice. Mario looks better on Gamecube.

This is a very snazzy game. The graphics rule all. It really shows the game cubes power. It's happy, so if you like a more depressed mood, you might not like it as much as I do. The levels are creative, the characters are cute, and the sound is wonderful. The only things I have wrong with it are that Bowser is the boss AS USUAL, there's no Luigi, and the camera is the most annoying thing to ever be created (other than furbies). Even with those problems the sheer coolness of the came eclipses its faults. ^_^

Sunshine Rocks! A perfect mix of classic mario feeling and inovative thinking combined in a world of fiction. Sure it feels lika Super mario 64 but still it doesen´t have quite the same tone or attitude to it, Of course it won´t be the chock that brought us inte the 3D realm but this is as close as you get. Not a perfect 10 but noone will ever get there so this is as good as it is going to get.According to my taste it´s only a tiny little bit to easy but thats just experience or luck talking i think!

this game suks. the game play is so frustrating. i have proof that mario will jump late on some levels and that he wont grab on to the ledge he is jumping to. I have the strat guide and i still am stumped on this one level that seems to unbeet able. o yeh evil mario on the last level can only be caught in one place because he is rigged to. there is a horrible story and i cant se why people like it
in my opinion mario should fall down a hole while eating a poisned mushroom and yoshi suking his dick

i thought this game was pretty cool but you can't get a green yoshi, that's just stupid. and you can't take yoshi into the water and you can't take him into levels, he's pretty much a waste of space. but other than that the story line is ok and the game itself is pretty cool. i liked this game but it could have been a little better. the yoshi thing was pretty much the only thing that bothered me and there aren't really many secret things that you can get in this game like in most other games.

This is the best mario game yet. For all of you people who think it`s a copy of luigi`s mansion, think again! Mario sunshine is probably one my my favroite games,you can do almost anything in this game. it`s much like the mario 64 game,but better. This game is lots of fun, with better levels, funner challenges,and it`s a really fun story, this game is better than luigi`s mansion by far. I think that, if you buy this game, you will be way more happier than if you buy luigi`s mansion. So buy it

This is a very good designed game that is fun and challenging, if you havn't got this game yet and you don't have Gamecube try renting it at Blockbuster or Rogers Video (in Canada) if in America try finding it in another store, what about this game is about the storyboard and new characters that you have never probably seen before, the Wet/Liquidy Mario who does the graffiti looks like he's not evil, they should put a little more detail in that character, but the game I would rate it 4/5 ...

I didn't know what to expect when Dad rented me Super Mario Sunshine when he went to Blockbuster. Would it be too hard? Too easy? Too idiot stupid? Or just plain cool? Well, I played it, and I loved it! Ever since I first sprayed the airstrip Piranha I loved the game. Now I haven't finished the entire game yet, but since Mom gave me SM Sunshine and its strategy book for Christmas, I have now just completed Episode Six of Pianta Village. Very close to the big final boss of Corona Mountain!

Super Mario Sunshine is definitely one of the best games Nintendo has. The graphics are amazing, the sounds are amazing and overall gameplay is great. What I do have a problem with, though, is seeing Mario reduced to a simple janitor. I mean, when you look at the hero in any previous Mario game, you see a kick butt plumber whoopin' up on dinosaurs. I really hate to see such a great guy degraded like that. Mario should be throwing turtle shells at dinosaurs, not whitewashing an island.

All of you who say 'That's a whimpy game' or 'it looks so stupid' or 'Mario's Gay.' should take another look at this game. I'm not going to reveal the plot, but this game is challanging, fun and it makes you feel like you're actually being Mario. The Evil Mario Dude is a really cool person to have as a villian. Out of all the different Mario games, I'd have to say that this is the best one by far. My older sister and I both agree that this game TOTALLY RULEZ THE GAMING WORLD!!

This game is pure 100% GREAT. Its THE BEST MARIO GAME TO EVER BE RELEASED. The game just screams of excellence. Yeah Yoshi swim, but y should he(he is like some kind of dinosaur). Rather than that the game still is the GREATEST MARIO GAME EVER. I have 65 sunsprites and im still working on getting all 120 of them. I would have probaly had more than that but my parent do let me play it that much. Surely this game is THE GREASTEST MARIO GAME EVER. Nintendo did a tariffic job.

This game totally rockes!I dont know what those people who said it sucked are thinking.But they obviously dont know how to play video games like I do.I see a reason Shirigo Myamoto had Luigi and Mario have different backpack thingies.He wants to keep a patern going.And plus!Luigi cant even jump in Luigi's Mansion,
He only has two people to talk to,and how do you tie in the fact that the whole game is in the mansion and SMS only has one level
based on a haunted hotel!?

This game has the graphics, the adventure, the fun, and the creativity! It is truly a work of art. This game has the fun levels where you don't have to do anything but chase someone. It has the craftly levels where you have to chase someone down while trying to capture something while trying to stop him in his tracks with some water...you know...it's just fun! I think anyone who is a big time Mario fan....via me....would love this game! :D I highly recommend this game

One of the best game ever on Gamecube. Good Qualities: the Graphics. Especially the graphics; the shadows and the water and the details and the sunshine. Also, the story line. In some other games, you have to read the lines off the screen...but you can actually hear it in this one (except for some toads). One bad quality is the camera. The camera is very annoying sometimes, not as great as some other games. Overall, this is a great game for anyone who owns a gamecube.

I Too, just bought Mario Sunshine and A Gamecube to boot. I'm a big lover of extensive, complex graphics, fun game play and the free will to do just about anything in a game environment. This game has it all. I was impressed! I have always been a big fan of Nintendo, and again they have shown their power to out-do any system out there. Mario Sunshine is definately worth the money, and the time playing it. Too bad I'm in college, those classes will just have to wait.

I think its so awesome. I hve like 70 shine sprites and i know who the bad guy really is and its all cool!!!!! The Yoshi's ARE AWESOME!!!!!!!!! I love them I love FLUDD to hes AWESOME. Its hard at some levels but if you keep trying youll get them thats how i have like 70 shine sprites. Its all fun if any one really wants to know who the bad guy is its Bowers son funny he has a son! it wierd. I'll write more soon :) beat em i'll check back every day so look for me :)!

This was a pretty good game. Nice graphics, nice music, fun stages. This game is a definate must have for any Mario lover. I had it for a while and I only got 102 stars. The only setbacks for this game that I can say disappointed me was the fact that Bowser was the final boss...as usual, and that they dont tell you exactly how many stars you should have. Other than that this game is pretty cool.
Way to go Mr. Mario, The Showstopper gives you an 8 out of 10

This game ultimately sucks. It is the same thing as Luigi's Mansion. Instead of using a vacume Mario uses a stupid water pack! and in Luigi's Mansion theres a mansion, in Super Mario sunshine its sunshine. Then in Luigis Mansion u have to find a person, Mario! In Mario Sunshine u have to find a person Peach! So this game is just a copy! I reccomend u get Luigi's Mansion Instead! PS.Theres another copy comin out, Wario World (Wonder what u have to do in that) DUHHHH!
