I have to say that this game is very fun....and adicting!
if your thinking aboyt buying go ahead and do it...its a VERY fun game.

Game play:10/10
Graphics:5/10
sound:10/10
In this game you get a person(girl or boy)
you can go fishing, shopping, decorate your house, hunting for bugs,do chores for your townsfolk,Forge friendships with friendly forest beasts, from penguins to rhinos to apes to frogs,Design your own shirts at the Able Sisters tailor shop,Travel to friends’ villages.
Take a sun-soaked vacation to Animal Island with a Game Boy Advance
(you’ll need a Game Boy Advance—Nintendo GameCube Link Cable).

Nintendo made a great game.

its WAAAAAAY better than Sims, sonic,Pikmen,Mario Tennis, and ALL pokemon.

I just have one question...Can you get upgraded from Tom Nook's department store? I heard that there was a mall once!! Is this true? Please answer! I want the mall so bad, but nobody is telling me if it's true! Thanks a whole bunch.
By the way I loved the game! It looked like a baby game and I thought that it was like Frogger© lol, but I guess not. Does anybody have a clue when Animal Crossing 2 is coming out?

Best game ever44299

A gamer from Dallas tx usa says (3/Feb/2003):

You boot up the game, and immediately, you're taken to a dog named K.K. He explains the pros and the cons on living on your own in a town filled with complete strangers, and explains how you'll make new friends. Now, you're taken on a train, where a dog named Rover comes up to you. You have a few choices on what to say, but everything basically leads to the same lines. Rovers confirms the time of the in-game clock, and asks for your name, and what town you're going to. You can put in whatever you like, it's all your preference! He verifies your gender, and when he asks you if you have a house in the new town, he's quite surprised to find out you don't. Rover goes and calls his old friend Tom Nook, and sets up a deal to hook you up with a house upon your arrival in the new town. You arrive, and Rover hopes to meet you again. You arrive, and Tom Nook takes you to four houses. However, the only difference is basically some of the colour. They're all small, cube-shaped houses... for now! Pick your house, and you're set.

The story is simple, but what can you expect from a game of this kind. It doesn't rely on it's backstory to get you interested, I'll get to the best part much later on.

Graphics:

No surprise, you're probably looking at screenshots, perhaps wondering whether to purchase this game, or any others. The graphics may turn you off, and believe me, when I heard Animal Crossing was announced for Gamecube, I expected at least a little bit of enhancements to make it superior to it's N64 brother. There are tiny little improvements, but not that noticeable to the casual eye. The graphics are simple, the animals and the character look like little dolls, but believe me, there is no problem with that. Graphics aren't what you should be focusing on. The graphics however fit the mood of the game, and that's what makes it good.

Sound:

The sound is average, I honestly don't have a problem with it. The background tunes become unnoticeable once you're immersed in this awesome game. You can listen to some tunes that you get during your game on your radio, and other music-hearing objects you can buy, or receive later on. When you talk to animals, they took the Banjo-Kazooie-esque sound approach, and all you hear is little sound effects while you read the text. This should be no problem as well...

Gameplay:

The heart of this game, the absolute best part, the most addictive part of this game. You're probably wondering, ''Where's the weapons? Where's the enemies I fight? How do I die?'' If you're thinking that, you should probably take this game out, and pop in Resident Evil, or Eternal Darkness. This game has absolutely no point, the only point is that you live your life in the town. You maintain your life. In the beginning, you have to pay off a debt on your house to Tom Nook by doing odd jobs, selling items, collecting insects and fish. After you're done that, you can basically do almost anything you want. You can go to your house, and style it however you want it, and get awarded points by some group. You can just chill, and listen to the music you collect throughout the game. You can even collect some Nintendo games, set it up, and pick up and play it. Believe me, playing Excitebike, Donkey Kong JR, and some other classics is awesome.

You can interact with your neighbours, and you absolutely have the choice of making them happy, and love you by running errands for them, or detest you by pushing them, and being nasty to them. The amazing part of this game is the fact that it runs on real-time, that means if it's 3:00 PM in real life, it'll be that time in the game. This has some downsides, like having to wait for a specific day, or perhaps missing an important event that happened at a certain time, but it's a pretty nifty feature added onto a console game. The game is realistic in the sense that something is ALWAYS happening, whether or not you're present or not. While you're off sleeping in real life, a new animal could be moving in town, or even moving out. Almost every day, you'll see a new animal move in.

This game has an innovative trading feature that is pretty cool. What you do is you go to a friend, or even a person online, and get their Town Name, and their Name. You go to Tom Nook's shop in the game, and say you want to trade. You put their data in, and give the item. Tom will give you the password, and give that pass to the person you want to give the item to. The person can go to Tom Nook in their game, say the password, and receive the item! Cool!

Another interesting feature is if you have a friend with the Animal Crossing game, you can visit their town via Memory card, and make friends with the animals there. You can mess around there, and then come back to your town. People are probably wondering, ''What's the point? The towns look the same!'' Well guess again, each game has a random map of a town. Your town will most likely be different from any other person's!

To sum it up, you can do almost anything. Mail to your animal friends, trade, collect insects and go fishing and donate them to the museum for display, play NES games, talk to the people in town, and much, much more. Also, a bonus, play a game on certain days for certain events. December 23rd is Toy Day, and be sure to talk to a townsperson until they ask your birthday. I haven't experienced it yet, but I can't wait until my B-Day hits!

Overall:

This game may not be for some people, but that's alright. What I do suggest is for everyone to try it out. Not only does it offer variety in a time where we're getting constant sequels, but it offers a fresh new idea, with some innovative tweaks to some old classic game formulas. This game easily scores a 10.

Cross Into The World Of Animal Crossing....43896

Arohk from Alberta, Canada says (11/Jan/2005):
First of all, I'd like to say that this is one of the greatest games they've ever come out with for the Nintendo Game Cube. It is smart, doesn't require alot of thinking, and it is an endless game.

Let me talk about the music first. The music could definatly use work. Although it is good, it could be just a little better. I love how you could make a personalized version of your town song, and also, another great little feature that was one of my personal favorites was Totakeke and how you could load what he sang to you into your home's music system. If anyone does not know, I would like to take the opertunity and tell you about songs that you can only get by requesting. 1. Only Me. 2. K.K. Love. I have forgotten the other one, but you can try Yesterday or Day After Tomorrow.

Next, lets talk about the controls. I think the controls were very simple, easy to learn, and very adjustable. I think no one had problems with the controls since it had little wrong with it. The only thing is, sometimes my finger would get sore from holding down the B button all the time. Thats the only suggestion I would make, make the character run a little faster.

Next, how about those graphics? They aren't too bad. Cartoonish yes, but isn't that the way the game was supposed to be? The only thing I was slightly disappointed with was that you couldn't rotate the camera while you were outside. Thats basically the only problem. You couldn't see around those annoying trees, therefore had to chop 'em down.

Lastly, I will provide some help for you cheaters out there. ^_~ You can get some secret items in the game by going to Nook and talking to him, then going to Other Things.. then going to Say Code. I will provide a list of the Nintendo-themed items. One note, you can only do it 3 times, then you have to wait another hour before entering another 3 codes.

Thats all for say code cheats. Now I will go on and tell you about hidden secrets in the game.

1. Money Tree: When you see a glowing spot on the ground, dig there and you will find some Bells (Money). The hole will still be shining, instead of covering it up, bury some money in the hole and a sprout will pop up. Wait for it to grow, and it will bear fruit (Money Bags) of the amount you first put in. There will be 3 of them, doubling what you origionally put in. If it does not grow, your money will be lost.
2. Golden Shovel: Make sure you have an extra shovel. When you see a glowing spot on the ground, dig there and you will find some Bells (Money). The hole will still be shining, instead of covering it up, bury the spare shovel and a golden sprout should appear. Wait a few days and it will grow into a golden tree. Shake the tree once it is fully grown and a golden shovel will fall out. There is only one per tree. It lets you dig up bells and various items when you dig in any place. It also lets you dig up extra NES games.
3. Golden Axe: Talk to the wishing well and get it to say everything is perfect for 2 full weeks. This can be acheived by pulling all the weeds, picking up all the trash, plant trees/flowers, and being active. This axe will never break. Talk to the well on the last day to get it from the well's spirit.
4. Golden Bug Net: Catch every type of bug.
5. Golden Fishing Rod: Catch every type of fish.

Well thats all, I hope this review was of some help to all of you. Have fun on Animal Crossing!

Cross Into The World Of Animal Crossing....43897

The Best Life Game I have ever played35556

A gamer from Paducah, KY USA says (17/Nov/2003):
Animal Crossing. This is the best game i ever played in my lifetinme, collecting NES games or making my house better, or talking to my neighbors, or celebrating Holidays with them. Or collecting songs with K.K. That is why I like te game. I like everything about it. I was sad to sell it, and equally sad to erase my town. I know, Im a dick. I kept restarting after that and No matter How many towns I tried to make, none of them had my friends especially my best friend Louie. If you have Loiue the Gorilla, I suggest you tell him hi for me, even though he probably wont remember me. I posted this so that you dont make the same mistake I did in erasing your town, your life, your friends, your job. Everything will be destroyed, even the way you felt when you were collecting songs on Saturday night with K.K. the Dog, or talking to your friends. Once erased, you cannot feel the same way with the other friends inthe other towns you visit. But wish me luck, for I am buying my game back from the dude i sold it to to find Louie and Mitzi again. And Chuck. They were the greatest friends i had, better than the ones that I hang around outside of the Animal Crossing World. God hear my plea, I want my Town back the way it was, I want my friends back, I want my character back. But most importantly I want my friends back. So if any of you enjoy the Holidays, Seasons Greetings to you and your Town's Jingle. Merry Christmas to Tortimer, to Chuck, Mitzi, and Louie. Happy New Year to K.K., and have a spooky Halloween, a Merry Thanksgiving, Happy Birthday. Animal Crosing is one of my favorite games, and I admit I am a DICK the way I destroyed everything. If any of you have those characters, tell them these exact words:

Hey, I know you dont know who I am, but I want to say sorry for destroying your life. I wish I could take it back, I wished that the moment I erased the Town. I miss you around the Holidays, How each of you (Chuck, Louie, Mitzi) gave me Birthday Gifts and Furniture, and how you encouraged me into Feng Shui (mitzi) and how you got me to excersize with you (louie) and How you helped me earn money to pay off my house. I wish I could spend another Holiday with you. Im glad that you are doing good, Im glad K.K. is still singing songs every Saturday Night at nine, Im glad you are having fun, but I want you all back. I missed you, Damn it i still do. I want you all in the same town altogether, like it used to be. I am sorry I did this to you, how I made you move out. I am sorry I cant be there to lift wieghts, or see the latest fasion, or visit the old fashionhed Elk home.

Those words. I dont care how much ink it takes. Maybe it will spark something in their heads, and encourage them to find me, to move out. I wish they will come. God, if your listening, make them come.

The greatest game ever!39468

David from Massachusetts, USA says (3/Mar/2004):
Of all the games I have seen, Animal Crossing is the best game I have ever played in my life! I rented it on my 11th birthday and hated it (stupid me) so my parents didn't buy it for me. But then two years later I ordered it on Amazon and asked my mom did UPS come yet???? Once it did I just simply had to finish my homework and hurry it up. Then I played it for like, 10 hours straight. I didn't even get up for the bathroom! (Bad decision for the bathroom)My sisters made their own town and I go there all the time so I can sell my pears, for 500 each and take some of their apples to grow in my town. I like to draw messed up faces on Blancas. Not even three months after I got this game I already have Nooksters (the fourth version of Tom Nooks store, and final) and my house is pretty big. It upgraded about 6 or 7 times. The only show on TV I'd every turn off Animal Crossing for is the Simpsons (my all time favorite show)! lol. Whenever I get the chance to play this game, wham! I'm on it. Whenever I get a new fish/fossil/insect/painting I donate it to the museum. Every Saturday night I make sure I get a K.K. (Totakeke) song in my town and my sisters' town so I get two each week. I also like it whenever someone new moves into my town. I like to send hate mail to Jane because she's so annoying and ugly! lol. My favorite animals are Roald and Poncho. It's just like real life (the lifestyle that is), except for the animal residents obviously. A simple math problem for this game is Me + Game Cube + Animal Crossing = Happiness for a very long time! :) Some of my friends don't like RTSs (Real Time Strategy Games) or RPGs (Role Playing Games), which this game essentially is. It's also pretty cool how you can get so many NES games. Soccer is pretty fun. (Donkey Kong Junior Math is just a cheap way of getting kids to do math!!! lol) If you haven't already get out your wallet, and go get this game ASAP! I said it before and I'll say it again, Animal Crossing is the best idea for a video game EVER! I'd reccommend this game to anybody who likes video games, even people who don't! If you don't have a console and are planning to get one, get a Nintendo Game Cube and buy Animal Crossing! Any information you need contact me by e-mail at dgh90< remove me > at comcast.net! (I have sources for a lot of things about this game!!!)

The way it is19145

Drew from Texas, USA says (12/Mar/2003):
Okay I have had the game "Animal Crossing" for about 3 or 4 weeks now. I started playing it and finding out all the other things you need to have more fun. So I bought them all. Now the graphics on Animal Crossing are really good, I like the way that they made the animals and the humans, also the different times of the year are very pretty, I love the winter and all the snow. Now on the animals and the humans I don't like that they all wear dresses, I know it might be weird but I think teh guys should have pants.

The sounds of the animals is pretty cool and I enjoy that you can change ti between 3 different settings. Its nice if you want a change of pace or you are just sick of one of the types.

The gameplay is pretty simple, after you get the hang of the main buttons you can do pretty much anything. Catching fish and the bugs is pretty easy to do. Findind a few things for the museum is harder but what is the fun if it is too easy. I played teh game without looking at teh help book and I foudn how to do things easily.

There are a few things that I don't like, for me I get bored fo the game pretty easily and I am trying to find more things to do that will keep my attention. I haven't really found anything more. Its a fun game to play for an hour of so but I get a bored after that. There are alot of things to do like, helping the animals, fishing, planting trees and flowers, catching bugs, going to the island and decorating your room(s). It has alot fo good things but some bads thigns too. I play alot of video games and this one is good in my book but it could be better than it is at this point.

The whole story to this name is unique and interesting, yuou go off on your own to a new place, get a house, try to pay it off and get everything you can with the best scores possible. It takes time and effert to get all teh money you need to pay off your house and it takes longer to get all teh different fish and bugs. Each season you get different things to catch so you have to always be on the lookout.

I say get the game, it is good and is fun to play. You have to get used to it and there are some boring parts but when you get past it you will have a very fun time!

A Lifetime Of Fun41214

Tori from NJ,USA says (8/Jun/2004):
I just love Animal Crossing. It is the best game ever!In my town I have 14 animals,my brother, and my two cousins live in my town. You have to buy this game.Though this game has its downs like there is only one shop (Tom Nook's),all the weeds, you don't get to drive, you can't cook ect.But I would recomend it to anybody. This game is so idicting.Tom Nook changes his shop 4 or 3 times. In my town,NUTLEY,I'm on Nook'n'Go the last shop.It has 2 levels. My house has an attic, main room, and a basement. My persons name is TORI.She has pink hair and green eyes.By the way never reset your game because if you do an angry gofer named Mr.Ressetti will come and scream at you.If you do it anuff he will make you write an apology. It's a really great game. Here's a 200 turnip code (tell tom nook)
ROdanieDOAEreK
CoahDQyeVKsoRA

Anyone who doesn't like this game is a nut. It's the best game ever. There is over 600 pieces of furniture, too. If you decide to buy this game you won't be wasting your money.I wrote letters to the Nintendo people telling them about possibilities for a new AC but it appears they can't take any suggestions.Buy the way there will be a new Animal Crossing game coming out, called Animal Crossing 2.I don't know when it will come out possibly next year. There will be nothing different besides animals can come in your house, there will be new furniture and charecters also and new houses. In my town we have a golden statue in front of our train station.(You can get one by paying off your loan)The second person gets a silver statue the next person a bronze and the last person gets a green one. After you pay off your loan you get to save money at the post office. My brother saved 2,000,000 bells and my cousin saved 4,000,000 bells. After saving 1,000,000 bells you get a tissue box. After a couple more 1,000,000s you can get a piggy bank, mailbox, and a post office model.I hope you found this review he3lpful.

Animal Crossing is very time consuming in the best way!38388

Melissa from lowell, Ma, USA says (19/Jan/2004):
At first I thought this game was going to end but now I realize I will be plaing until I die! Not like that is a bad thng! The graphics are very good and the background music changes from day to day. It all seems a little childish but the attitudes of some of the other characters are so mean, some nice! The gameplay is extremely simple. Few things to remember to allow you to play with ease. The lifespan of the game is neverending because it is a 24/7/365 game. Play at 3 in the am and it will be different from 3 in the pm. It is very fun to see the characters get angry or to have another character clap for you when you catch a fish. The originality of the game is certainly unique. I value my Animal Crissing and play it every day. I have a friend playing as well so we visit often and the best part is, she has different fruit! I have some problems with growing trees and people keep moving out on me but hey, I live here! it is MY town! If they don't like me let them go! Besides someone always moves in to take up the space! I like my house but hate when someone paints the roof witout telling me first! I love to plant flowers but wish I din't have to pay for them. It seems tedious at time but then I pay off my house and my character gets all happy! I love that! I work third shift and play when I get home so all the characters are groggy and angry, it is funny! If I miss something I change the time, but do not like to do it. I try to pay attention to what is going on so I don't have to do that. However I do give the codes to Nook! Ususlly I finish the game forst then use codes but this game never ends so I want to have a good time doing it. I figure it this way: if the codes are programed into the game then I should get to use them. Right! Overall I love the game and play it between fustrating levels of Zelda tha Windwaker on my big screen tv eating cereal.

Animal Crossing just totally blew me away!18013

Sea_princess_155 from Chicago, USA says (21/Feb/2003):
When I heard my friend's brother got gamecube, I thought "yeah, it's just another game system." Then, my friend got Animal Crossing for Christmas and I watched her play it. I thought "Woah, now that is a good game" and I just had to get it for myself. Unfortunatly, I didn't have gamecube. So, I made a deal with my mom. I agreed to give up my years worth of allowance.($200) So I got it and now I have such a great time playing it.

My opinion? You get oddly hooked. I love this game sooo much. Sure, the graphics sorta stink, but I love how the animals talk. They squeak and say stuff, like real people. Only a lot faster. Personally speaking, my favorite part is fishing. I only have 16 more kinds to go! The varity is great, how they have everything from Mint the blue squirrel to (my personal favorite) Peaches the purple horse to Tutu the polar bear to Goose the rooster.*Weird, isn't it?* I think it's really original and I enjoy playing it a lot. Except for that part where you're like, always in debt, but I pay it off easy. The furniture is so cool, with all these sets of stuff and lots of special animals that only come to visit you once a month. And it also covers the real holidays, like Halloween and Christmas and even your birthday! You can send letters and receive a rating on your house!(they are soo harsh ):

I think that even adults would enjoy playing this game, because it's realistic and unrealistic at the same time! And it gets even better. You can travel to different towns from other people's memory cards and meet the animals that moved away from your village to the other one. (They can, you know) So anyway, I just thought that it would be cool to post my opinion on this game, and for others who like this game too. Rating? 10 and gonna soar over!

A Great Real-Time Life-Simulation Game!39002

Richard Xichao Thripp from Ormond Bach, USA says (13/Feb/2004):
This a great game! You move to a town of animals and have to buy a house and expand it, plus there are lots of items and collectibles and even over a dozen classic NES games to find and put in your house! This game kept my attention for almost a year, and it's easily worth its $29.99 price tag. I give it a 10 because it's original and is so fun to play. You can have up to 4 human players move into your town, and up to 15 computer players in your town. Activities include fishing, catching bugs, shopping, going on treasure hunts and many other things. You can sell it all to the shop owner Tom Nook to get more bells (the money used in Animal Crossing), and have your house made bigger, for a price.

Graphics: 7/10
So-so graphics for Gamecube. Looks like N-64 graphics. But the game makes up for it in all the other categorys. Also, you should be able to look around in a first-person view.

Play Control: 9/10
Basic play control, but buying things (like turnips) shouldn't be one item at a time; you should be able to purchase multiple copies of items simultaneously. Overall it's good.

Game Design: 10/10
Great format, large town to roam in. Overall it's excellant in the Game Design category.

Music: 10/10
Every hour the music changes. Catchy tunes that you won't grow tired of.

Replay Value: 10/10
I'd give it 11/10 if I didn't honor the 1 to 10 scoring system.

Originality: 10/10
Real-time gameplay that cycles through hours, days ,weeks, months, and years. Animal characters, A monkey as the train attendant, and a racoon as a shop owner, make this a totally originally experience.

Verdict: Buy this game!

The game that lasts forever!!!!!!!!!!!42775

A gamer from USA says (8/Oct/2004):
This game, lets say I thought it was a little kid game. When I got the game, it was amazing!!! You get different characters by how you re-act to Rover, a cat which meets you on a train. On this train, you get to name the person you are, decide if you are a boy or girl, and even name your town. After getting off the train, you see Tom Nook, who is a Raccoon, and he will be metting you through your game. Tom Nook will let you pick a house out of 4, though I personally like the house in the right top corner. After choosing, he will tell you the cost of your house, and when you go to give him money, you only have 1,000 with you. He will laugh at you, then he gets the idea of letting you work at his shop. This is where you come off on our own. Though, I have a secret about making money quickly. If you have a friend that makes a file, travel to their town, and if their fruit tree is different than yours, grab a couple fruits from their town. Travel back to your town, then plant the fruits in your town where they will grow. You can purchase a shovel from Tom Nook for 500 bells to plant the fruits. After planting the fruits, leave them alone for a couple days. When they finally bear fruits, take the fruits off the trees by shaking the tree with the A button. If you go to sell these fruits at Tom Nook's store, he will pay 500 each. I went to a friend's town, and I planted so many trees, I get over 60,000 bells just from harvesting them and selling them to Tom Nook in one day. I will add more details later to this, for now, I'm off to play Animal Crossing. See you all later with more updates!!!

Beware of Animal Crossing45285

Dee from Jackson(MS), USA says (7/Sep/2005):
When I first heard of AC, i thought "not another simulation game" but this one is different. it has almost everything. after i read the ad for it in tips and tricks magazine, i thought to myself, i have to get this game. sadly, that was about 3 years ago and i just got the game in june. i'm glad i have it now.

first of all, you arrive in a town that you name yourself but you don't have a home or money to buy a home with. so you have to work for tom nook who gives you a home and lets you gradually pay it off. after you pay it off you can get it upgraded.

my favorite feature about this game is the real time. i like rushing to my gamecuve on holidays to try and see what mayor tortimer is gibing away. i recently celebrated labor day and got a model that commermorate tom nook's hard work.

you can also catch bugs, eat fruit, go fishing, collect fossils, decorate your home and the list goes on and on. i don't think animal crossing has too many flaws except for the fact that the only way you can have a bbq grill is if you keep it in your house. i also think it would be better if you could create your character like add facial features and why do you have to wear the same shoes all the time. but don't get me wrong, it's a GREAT game. i love it. i mean, i'm hooked. that's another problem. nintendo should stop making games that will make you want to play 24-7. SIKE!!!

i give this game a 10 and even xplay says it's a good game. and you know how tough those guys are on video games. well bye for now, i gotta go play animal crossing. can't wait for the DS version to come out!

Ok, but sum flaws37665

Brett =) from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada says (30/Dec/2003):
Just to tell evry1 it's getting annoying not spelling wors that you should know how to spell and you can't abbreviate, so check your mistakes, and the game doesn't have mistakes it as sum stuff that can be fixed (well that sorta is a mistake, but they meant to do that) . Well to the game it is a really great game but there can be better things added like other reviewers (meh!) cleaning, cooking, buying a pet, movie theaters with 20 min. long movies, MORE space, getting married, getting visited by your parents, designing you're clothes (not the design pattern but how you look like, casual, formal, night clothes, bathing suit etc...), the water is frozen so you can skate on it a WAY bigger store at the start and etc...

Graphics: 7/10
Not the best but still good

Sound: 8/10
I like how you can make your towns melody but when you talk to animals and they "sing" it it gets annoying, even if it's the best song ever

gameplay: 10/10
there is no ending, it's great

lifespan: 9/10
you can't die, but you should be able too and either come back as a ghost, or comeback as a ghost and plea to a townsfolk to ressurect you.

Fun factor: 10/10
you can play for hours and not get bored it's great

originality: 11/10
this is one of the most original games ever you can talk with animals live on your own, i didn't give it 12/10 because you can't do more stuff, ie: cook clean etc...

value: 10/10
as Tom Nook says: "it's a steal at that price", only
40(sumwhat)$ for a game that can last a lifetime, and more.

so buy this game =)

This game kicks F&%#@* @$$!!!!!!!!!45078

Mark Sierra from Fostoria, Ohio, USA says (21/Jul/2005):
When i first played this game, i wuz at my friends house and ya know what......I GOT HOOKED ON IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! i mead, i just couldnt stop playing it. So like a year later i got it at gamestop. My brother said it would suck, but now he beggs me to let him play it. the graphics are okay, but the overall game makes up for it. i first started paying off my friend debt by getting fruits from other towns and selling them!! (How lame!) i then learned the cheat code for 30,000 bells. when i got my own memory card, i named it Markcity, and my mom keeps bugging me about it. what really rocks about this game is that its so simple. a little kid could play it and beat it in like 8 months. and it actually deserves an E rating. the content has nothing bad. no swear words, no sexual content and no violence. this game is perfect for little kids through aduts. and i think that people who hate corny kids games, (wich this game isn't) should give it a try. And if you don't like it, you can bite my < remove me > at $$ (sorry) because I like it.

Oh and if your wonering what the 30,000 bells cheat is, go to timmy, tommy or tom nook and select other things then SAY CODE and type in,
WB2&pARAcnOwnU
jMCK%hTk8JHyrT

but you can only do this 3 times so after you do it 3 times, go to your house save it quit it. sighn back on and do it 3 more times . Then repeat the whole process again and again and again as many times as you want.

I hope my information was helpfull if you have a problem with the code, e mail me at mjsierra3pkmn< remove me > at woh.rr.com

Awesome Game!37248

Jake the Great from Madison, Alabama U.S.A. says (23/Dec/2003):
This game is great. When I just started playing it I thought it was to kiddie, but after about 30 minutes I couldn't stop. Yeah they could have done a better job on the sound & graphics but you can tell what it is &thats what really matters. Yes after a while some things get boring like fishing but their are so many other things to do to do that one boring thing doesn't really matter. One of my favorite things to do is rearrange my furniture I don't get whats so fun about it but it's very fun. Maybe it's the fact that your trying to raise your HRA rating but I don't really know. I also really love when animals come visit your town to give you rare furniture & other stuff. Their is two things that I don't like about Animal Crossing one of them is that you can change the time(one of my sisters favorite things to do). I can understand change time basckward if you missed something but It lets you change it forward. That messes up your game! It's fun at first but after a while you relize it's just a pain because your town becomes invested with weeds, you have to save $ quit to do it, & people move away during that time. The other bad thing is at night theirs few things to do you can catch bugs & fish but you have to wait till morning to sell them. Most of the animals have gone to bed so you can't help them. Rearranging your furniture gets boring so theirs nothing else to do. But overall Animal Crossing was definatly my favorite game until Wind Waker came out. BUY THIS GAME!

i love this game.the animals are so friendly(except resetti).i can't help it i get caught in a weed, can't get out, have to reset then resetti comes to yell at me and his helmet blinks.i love to catch bugs and fish . this game is awesome. my good friend zowie the anteater had better hear this .that goes for all my friends.my strangest freind is marcie.i like her a lot and she takes her baby everywhere.well, she kinda has to.She
is a kangaroo.but whenever she blinks so does her baby.creepy.i think they can read each others minds. The police station is very useful. One time i lost my favorite shirt so i went to the place where i last had it...gone i thought somebody stole it.the nerve.one day i went into the police station for the heck of it and i see a shirt but i know it isn't mine. I get up there and look it's there.on the outside officier copper will tell you what's going on in town. have you ever met gracie the giraffe?she is so mean!she made me wash her red car and she said i didn't do a good job and kicked me out.everyone else hates her too.REJECTED!the tailors shop let's you make your're own design.thegarbage dump let's you get free stuff.thepost office lets you send letters duh! the wishing well will tell you about your town.look for tortimer here.the mayor!if you've played the game you must know of nooks cranny.if not it's you're first job to pay your house debt. You get a cute little outfit too.this game rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK u guys, this game rocks!!!!! ur really gonna want 2 get this game. Yeah, like most Simuatlion games it will take awhile 2 get used 2 but its worth it man!!!!! Seriously, I've never played a game like this before. I mean, sure I've played a simulation game but not where ur animails simulating real life!!!!! There will be a few boring parts like at night u will have almost nothing 2 do but... Oh what am I saying, in that game u will always be able 2 find something 2 do. OK, u wanna know about the grapics, huh? alright then, lets see... AWESOME!!!!! I mean, there not the best best but most games cant be fun and have good grapics... this game does!!!!!!!!!! Belive me, this game WILL make u sit in front of the TV for hours. I still havnt beaten it and I've had it for awhile so I'd have 2 say its along game. another reason its great. Oh, yeah, the controlling in this game is really easy 2. It will be around 40.00 bucks but thats the price 4 any gamecube game, right? I dont really pay alot of attentin 2 the sound but I'd still say its pretty good... except for when the animals talk, if u listen closly enough than u can tell so of the words there sayin but not nearly half of'em. Thank god for subtitles! The music is sortta strange but still... u dont pay that much attention 2 it any way, right.overall, I'm gonna say this is like one of the best games ever!!!!! BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT. u will thank me and all the other positive reviewers.
