Anyone who doesn't like this game is a nut.It's the best game ever.There is over 600 pieces of furniture,too.If you decide to buy this game you won't be wasting your money.I wrote letters to the Nintendo people telling them about possibilities for a new AC but it appears they can't take any suggestions.Buy the way there will be a new Animal Crossing game coming out,called Animal Crossing 2.I don't know when it will come out possibly next year.There will be nothing different besides animals can come in your house,there will be new furniture and charecters also and new houses.In my town we have a golden statue in front of our train station.(You can get one by paying off your loan)The second person gets a silver statue the next person a bronze and the last person gets a green one.After you pay off your loan you get to save money at the post office.My brother saved 2,000,000 bells and my cousin saved 4,000,000 bells.After saving 1,000,000 bells you get a tissue box.After a couple more 1,000,000s you can get a piggy bank,mailbox,and a post office model.I hope you found this review he3lpful.

It has all the pleasures of life without too much work. You can go shopping, donate stuff to a museum, dig up fossils, go fishing, and catch spirits for a gost that will give you stuff... The only real work is paying off your debt, doing stuff for Tom Nook and the villagers, pulling weeds, etc. They also have cheats. (But what game is good without them?) You can get 30,000 bells by entering a simple code. I've done it so often, I almost have it memorized. It's like no other game because it goes on forever. It will never, ever, stop. Different things happen at different times. You can only catch certain fish and insects at certain times of the year. There's also a "living fossil" that only comes out when it rains. VERY RARE! Price value: 15,000 bells. I'm not sure when during the year it comes out, but when it does... CATCH IT! HINT: The 30,000 bells cheat is really helpful when you are trying to pay off your debt to Tom Nook. I payed it off really fast by doing this and it feels great to be debt-free. My mom dosen't like video games but when I tell her about this one, she actually listens and joins in on the conversation. When I talked about Final Fantesy Chrystal Chronics (A.K.A FFCC) she would would kinda just nod her head and ignore me. For all you lovely fans out there who love PINK FURNITURE i'm with you all the way. I would recomend this game to teens and adults who love games like the Sims. One other thing I liked about the game is they (Nintendo) gives you a free memory card. Any ways i cain't wait till the sequel comes out. i love this game more than the sims. i got this game like 2 years ago than i lost it but happy me i found it. I love getting the songs an all that. I am so nuts i've played this game for so long i can acully(sorry not very good at spellin) understand the animals. ha ha ha ha ha. Wow!!!! | | Jen from A little suburb of Detroit, MI says (21/Mar/2004): | Ok we've had the game for 2 years now and I have 3 characters, my husband has 2, and my 2 year old can walk his character up to see the choo-choo. How cool is that?! I've dubbed it the sims for the schedule challenged. Look at it this way, your character doesn't get mad at you, go bankrupt, or die! That would do it for pretty much any kid who is terrible at any other type of video game. And the characters are animals! Savannah and Pecan are my girls! My baby likes the kitty cats and monkeys. The graphics are neat, the sound is excellent, and unless I earn every item in Nook's catalog somehow I will be playing for a very long time. Oh and my baby still works for Nook so if he gets into it as much as I have (someday) we could probably still be playing it 20 years from now (on mini-disc on cell phones?) Hey it could happen, I still have a Nintendo. I am sorry, but anyone who can't find something they really like about this game needs to get an imagination or a sense of humor! It's just the most fun thing to ever happen to a Nintendo system. If the rumors are true and there is a sequel coming, I'm getting it! What was up with the strange commercials for it, I'm glad I took a chance in the video store.
P.S. My son loves watching them eat, sleep and waking up, and the way their eyes bug out of their heads and the noise it makes when you bang your shovel on concrete or rocks :)

I rented it on my 11th birthday and hated it (stupid me) so my parents didn't buy it for me. But then two years later I ordered it on Amazon and asked my mom did UPS come yet???? Once it did I just simply had to finish my homework and hurry it up. Then I played it for like, 10 hours straight. I didn't even get up for the bathroom! (Bad decision for the bathroom)My sisters made their own town and I go there all the time so I can sell my pears, for 500 each and take some of their apples to grow in my town. I like to draw messed up faces on Blancas. Not even three months after I got this game I already have Nooksters (the fourth version of Tom Nooks store, and final) and my house is pretty big. It upgraded about 6 or 7 times. The only show on TV I'd every turn off Animal Crossing for is the Simpsons (my all time favorite show)! lol. Whenever I get the chance to play this game, wham! I'm on it. Whenever I get a new fish/fossil/insect/painting I donate it to the museum. Every Saturday night I make sure I get a K.K. (Totakeke) song in my town and my sisters' town so I get two each week. I also like it whenever someone new moves into my town. I like to send hate mail to Jane because she's so annoying and ugly! lol. My favorite animals are Roald and Poncho. It's just like real life (the lifestyle that is), except for the animal residents obviously. A simple math problem for this game is Me + Game Cube + Animal Crossing = Happiness for a very long time! :) Some of my friends don't like RTSs (Real Time Strategy Games) or RPGs (Role Playing Games), which this game essentially is. It's also pretty cool how you can get so many NES games. Soccer is pretty fun. (Donkey Kong Junior Math is just a cheap way of getting kids to do math!!! lol) If you haven't already get out your wallet, and go get this game ASAP! I said it before and I'll say it again, Animal Crossing is the best idea for a video game EVER! I'd reccommend this game to anybody who likes video games, even people who don't! I just wish that pop and candy would come out of the machines, and that you could slide down the elephant slide. Oh yeah and also that you could play with the pool table and lift weights as well. But other than those this game is the bomb. Even though some of your neighbours are dumb its still cool diggin holes around them when they are sleeping and then waking them up and having them walk in place. Or just pushing them across to the other side of the town while they're sleeping. I firmly believe that this was one of the greatest games to ever come out for a system. Nintendo way to beat Playstation to it. You Rock Nintendo!!!!

You move to a town of animals and have to buy a house and expand it, plus there are lots of items and collectibles and even over a dozen classic NES games to find and put in your house! This game kept my attention for almost a year, and it's easily worth its $29.99 price tag. I give it a 10 because it's original and is so fun to play. You can have up to 4 human players move into your town, and up to 15 computer players in your town. Activities include fishing, catching bugs, shopping, going on treasure hunts and many other things. You can sell it all to the shop owner Tom Nook to get more bells (the money used in Animal Crossing), and have your house made bigger, for a price.
Graphics: 7/10
So-so graphics for Gamecube. Looks like N-64 graphics. But the game makes up for it in all the other categorys. Also, you should be able to look around in a first-person view.
Play Control: 9/10
Basic play control, but buying things (like turnips) shouldn't be one item at a time; you should be able to purchase multiple copies of items simultaneously. Overall it's good.

I love this game! I got my sister hooked on it two, but that isn't good because now all she wants to do it play it..... I play it every day and never get tired of it! One of my favorite things to do is go around and hit everybody on the head with the net, then push them, and dig holes around them and watch them beep at me. I know it sounds harsh but it is just SO much fun, and it's not like they're real anyhow! I play this in all my free time, even in my taken time! ;) At first when I saw it in an ad on TV I was like, "What a dumb game!" but then I played it and I love it! I used to play Sims 24/7 but now I play Animal Crossing instead! I guess my Sims are missing me ...;) The best thing is you can play it forever and never get tired of it, I got tired of Sims after a week!

I play a hard battle against Naraku in InuYasha: A Fuedal Fairy Tale or battle The Elite Four in Pokemon: Crystal, and then i relax and play with my Favorite GameCube game, Animal Crossing. But soon my favorite GameCube game will be Pokemon Colluseum, i don't know when it will come out though. The graphics are very good and Ilove the characters, the point of the game, i think, is to see how you live in a life were your the adult and have to live like its a real life thing. The have real life like sound effects too. You hear a bird in the game and it sounds like it's right in the house with you. it sells for a lot of money but you get a free memory card and it's worth it, the value of the game would probally be around $40.00. But i would reccomend renting it first, some people wouldn't like it because it is a little challenging, you know, with the whole buying a house, making it bigger, that stuuf. I hope that you have fun with the game and decide to buy it, oh and by the way, did i mention the animal characters are SO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!

Not like that is a bad thng! The graphics are very good and the background music changes from day to day. It all seems a little childish but the attitudes of some of the other characters are so mean, some nice! The gameplay is extremely simple. Few things to remember to allow you to play with ease. The lifespan of the game is neverending because it is a 24/7/365 game. Play at 3 in the am and it will be different from 3 in the pm. It is very fun to see the characters get angry or to have another character clap for you when you catch a fish. The originality of the game is certainly unique. I value my Animal Crissing and play it every day. I have a friend playing as well so we visit often and the best part is, she has different fruit! I have some problems with growing trees and people keep moving out on me but hey, I live here! it is MY town! If they don't like me let them go! Besides someone always moves in to take up the space! I like my house but hate when someone paints the roof witout telling me first! I love to plant flowers but wish I din't have to pay for them. It seems tedious at time but then I pay off my house and my character gets all happy! I love that! I work third shift and play when I get home so all the characters are groggy and angry, it is funny! If I miss something I change the time, but do not like to do it. I try to pay attention to what is going on so I don't have to do that. However I do give the codes to Nook! Ususlly I finish the game forst then use codes but this game never ends so I want to have a good time doing it. I figure it this way: if the codes are programed into the game then I should get to use them. Right! Overall I love the game and play it between fustrating levels of Zelda tha Windwaker on my big screen tv eating cereal.

When I first heard about animal crossing i thought "Why would i waste my time on a toddler game like that?"Anyway i ended up renting it and i hated it!!!! One of my friends bought it and loved it so i rented it again. I thought it may be a good way to calm myself down before or after an intense boss fight in The windwaker. The first time i retried it it turned out to be so much more than that i loved it!!! I can't stop playing and have totally abandoned The windwaker and kingdom hearts. I am totally gonna buy it!! I've only upgraded my house once and am havin' tons of fun payin' of my debt!! By the way if you've got ace in your town isn't he irritating he always gets in the way. Barbra's a jerk too. she painted my friends roof pink without asking her and she hates pink.RUDE MUCH!!!!!! Well to the game it is a really great game but there can be better things added like other reviewers (meh!) cleaning, cooking, buying a pet, movie theaters with 20 min. long movies, MORE space, getting married, getting visited by your parents, designing you're clothes (not the design pattern but how you look like, casual, formal, night clothes, bathing suit etc...), the water is frozen so you can skate on it a WAY bigger store at the start and etc...

| Six Monthes of addicted playing | | Anyhony and Elvina's MOM from Windsor, California says (28/Dec/2003): | So many things about this game is too cool. Both of my kids have this game and two towns to play in is way better than one! I'm completely hooked on this game. To whoever asked to get Gracies fashions you have to talk to her and then wash her car extremely fast by pushing the green button as fast as you possibly can, my son had to do it for me! So far I have payed off my debt and have 5 million in the post office/bank on my sons game. On my daughters i'm just now paying off my last loan. It's alot of fun when you keep a code book with codes to make more money! In fact I keep my own code book and don't share it, it makes paying off debts much easier and you can then make the money you need to have on hand to buy whatever you want as it comes your way. My favorite charecters are chico, Wolfgang, Aurora, and Vesta. I guess I really like my island person too, his name is Boomer and he is definately on the weird side! If you can get the adults in your family to play along with you it's kinda cool because each person playing a little every day makes the game more interesting.
