It's pie... | | jjkemp04 from Hershey, PA USA says (23/Dec/2003): | Many of the reviews have in them that the loans are hard to pay off. Well, if anyone remembers, Joan the Stalk Marketer comes on Sunday mornings and sells the equivalent of stock. I've bought them for 87 bells a stalk, bought 1,000, and sold them to Nook for 948 bells, a piece! Getting money isn't hard if you use money trees, the stalk market, plant fruit trees from other towns, and fish for the big ones (go to your island). The other thing is, if you start new players and fill up all four houses, yea there'll be 4 times the daily weeds, but also, 4 times the glowing money spots, and four times the amount of things to dig up. Fossils are very high sellers, so use them. Make sure you plant flowers everywhere. I plant 3 on each side of every inhabitant's house in my town, at the foot of the cliffs, the fence along the railroad tracks, the museum, anywhere important. I have 16 people in my town currently! Try to get the items of more than one set, especially if you decide to put a person in every house in your town. Here's what I did: I used up a second house and had him find his glowing money spot, pay for paper to send fossils to the museum, and give me all the profits. The house payments are about $1.5 million, it's hefty, but I did it in two months. The stalk market has helped me a lot, that's where I get most of my money from. All in all, just getting that house paid off is easy as pie.

When I just started playing it I thought it was to kiddie, but after about 30 minutes I couldn't stop. Yeah they could have done a better job on the sound & graphics but you can tell what it is &thats what really matters. Yes after a while some things get boring like fishing but their are so many other things to do to do that one boring thing doesn't really matter.One of my favorite things to do is rearrange my furniture I don't get whats so fun about it but it's very fun. Maybe it's the fact that your trying to raise your HRA rating but I don't really know. I also really love when animals come visit your town to give you rare furniture & other stuff. Their is two things that I don't like about Animal Crossing one of them is that you can change the time(one of my sisters favorite things to do). I can understand change time basckward if you missed something but It lets you change it forward. That messes up your game! It's fun at first but after a while you relize it's just a pain because your town becomes invested with weeds, you have to save $ quit to do it, & people move away during that time. The other bad thing is at night theirs few things to do you can catch bugs & fish but you have to wait till morning to sell them. Most of the animals have gone to bed so you can't help them. Rearranging your furniture gets boring so theirs nothing else to do. But overall Animal Crossing was definatly my favorite game until Wind Waker came out. BUY THIS GAME!

and i like the way the u meet ppl as u work 4 them and gain trust amoung the villagers.
Also the graphics may not b up 2 scratch but i think they really work with the game as they r cute.
Also u get a free memory card which is good as me and many ppl find that u dnt always have space 2 save games on so thats a real help in my eyes.
i would reccomend this game 2 ne person hu like the sims or games such as that as this.
this is defanitly the best game that nintendo have produced as it challeneges the amazing golden eye and zelda as this helps the player get involved in a young persons life.
its kinda like adopting a young person and telling him wot tp do and how to do it.
in magazines this game has had 90 out of 100 marks and also 9.5 out of 10 in others.

Waking up in the morning to workout sessions at the tree... picking up new items at Mr. Tom Nooks Department Store. and just hanging out with the animal friends in my town. The only person I still have from the beginning is my trusted friend Bob. I know he wears a dress but he is a friend to me!!!! He is there for me when i need some e-xtra cash to pay Mr. Nook off. Or for a sholder to cry on :)
I have been there for him, and he has been there for me. I am very proud of my house... I have both house models. I have the entire collection from the turkey day celebration, christmas and chess set. I have really enjoyed this game from the start.What withe the going to the island, or my sis's town, or selling turnips. It is just a really great game and i know for a fact that anyone on your holiday christmas(or any other holiday) would love this game under thier tree (monorah ect.)to open up . Over all This game is the best and i recomend it for anyone this holiday season.:)Good Job NINTENDO for making the greatest game of all time!!!

Even though paying MOST of my debts was fairly easy, my current debt is harder than I live! I have a base-ment, and up-stairs, ALL of the biggest you can get, but the debt is like in the 700,000's! As long as I visit all of the cheat web-sites, it's a little bit easier, but if there is an Animal Crossing 2, the debts should be easier, you should be able to do things like cook, do laundry, clean, and other things nessasery for life and the game will be perfect! Another mistake is that there are no theaters, malls, skating rinks, etc. AND you can't, like, have a party and like have company in your house! At least there's SOMEWHERE to shop, but they don't have things like magazines you can actually read! And you have to where this totally dork-style hat ALL THE TIME! The clothes you where should have seperate pants and shirts so you don't have to match like a granny all the time! The music is terrible and there's only one singer to choose from! NO CHOICE THERE! But the good parts of AC are that it's real life! It's not one of those "FIGHT" or "Race" games! BUT REAL LIFE! GREAT! AC is probably the best game I've ever played, but it could surely kick some of the other games I still play into the hole and it be the only game if some of it's mistakes were corrected. And hopefully AC2 will be a lot better!
| Picking weeds is boring!!! | | The Principal's daughter from North Carolina, U.S.A. says (30/Nov/2003): | I honestly think that the fun-factor of this game is like 5, but every thing else is okay. I mean, I sit there and pick weeds for almost 45 minutes and the whole town is still covered in grass-type thingys. Oh and it is taking me foreva to pay of my house (shack). I mean I guess it would be fine if they would come out with some thing to get you all the way to the end of the game, but no they make you sit there and work, and it would'nt be so bad if video games weren't suppossed to be fun!!! Oh and Rover is so annoying!!!! And I don't know who has anough time to play that game for hours every day just to keep bugs from infesting you'r house!!! THe graphics are okay, and the lifespan (What life span)! But if you live in a duplex like I do and you don't have a pet, it's fun to watch you'r "pet" run around pulling weeds!

Yeah, like most Simuatlion games it will take awhile 2 get used 2 but its worth it man!!!!! Seriously, I've never played a game like this before. I mean, sure I've played a simulation game but not where ur animails simulating real life!!!!! There will be a few boring parts like at night u will have almost nothing 2 do but... Oh what am I saying, in that game u will always be able 2 find something 2 do. OK, u wanna know about the grapics, huh? alright then, lets see... AWESOME!!!!! I mean, there not the best best but most games cant be fun and have good grapics... this game does!!!!!!!!!! Belive me, this game WILL make u sit in front of the TV for hours. I still havnt beaten it and I've had it for awhile so I'd have 2 say its along game. another reason its great. Oh, yeah, the controlling in this game is really easy 2. It will be around 40.00 bucks but thats the price 4 any gamecube game, right? I dont really pay alot of attentin 2 the sound but I'd still say its pretty good... except for when the animals talk, if u listen closly enough than u can tell so of the words there sayin but not nearly half of'em. Thank god for subtitles! The music is sortta strange but still... u dont pay that much attention 2 it any way, right.overall, I'm gonna say this is like one of the best games ever!!!!! BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT. u will thank me and all the other positive reviewers.
| The greatest game of all time | | Justin Childs from Princeton USA says (28/Nov/2003): | I still remember that day in December,when I opened that game!Who knew a game could change a persons life,because it has!There is no other game like this in the world!There is so much stuff to do in animal crossing it's not even funny!To me this is not a game anymore,now it's me life!Even though i've had the game a year I still play every single day!I have to be one of the biggest animal crossing fans!I put at least 50,000 in the post office everyday,but mostly I put in 100,000 A day!I have 14 million right now!I've got the golden axe,shovel, and rod!I'm 2 bugs away from getting the golden net!There is one thing i know it ac and that is that this game has mad me a better person in all!Nobody will ever forget this great game know as Animal Crossing!

Dispite this it's a great game and there are also classic nes games which is cool this is a must have for people with the gamecube so i think it's one cute game for the gamecube! you musthave this game! And the game moves in real time!

This is the best game i ever played in my lifetinme, collecting NES games or making my house better, or talking to my neighbors, or celebrating Holidays with them. Or collecting songs with K.K. That is why I like te game. I like everything about it. I was sad to sell it, and equally sad to erase my town. I know, Im a dick. I kept restarting after that and No matter How many towns I tried to make, none of them had my friends especially my best friend Louie. If you have Loiue the Gorilla, I suggest you tell him hi for me, even though he probably wont remember me. I posted this so that you dont make the same mistake I did in erasing your town, your life, your friends, your job. Everything will be destroyed, even the way you felt when you were collecting songs on Saturday night with K.K. the Dog, or talking to your friends. Once erased, you cannot feel the same way with the other friends inthe other towns you visit. But wish me luck, for I am buying my game back from the dude i sold it to to find Louie and Mitzi again. And Chuck. They were the greatest friends i had, better than the ones that I hang around outside of the Animal Crossing World. God hear my plea, I want my Town back the way it was, I want my friends back, I want my character back. But most importantly I want my friends back. So if any of you enjoy the Holidays, Seasons Greetings to you and your Town's Jingle. Merry Christmas to Tortimer, to Chuck, Mitzi, and Louie. Happy New Year to K.K., and have a spooky Halloween, a Merry Thanksgiving, Happy Birthday. Animal Crosing is one of my favorite games, and I admit I am a DICK the way I destroyed everything. If any of you have those characters, tell them these exact words:
Hey, I know you dont know who I am, but I want to say sorry for destroying your life. I wish I could take it back, I wished that the moment I erased the Town. I miss you around the Holidays, How each of you (Chuck, Louie, Mitzi) gave me Birthday Gifts and Furniture, and how you encouraged me into Feng Shui (mitzi) and how you got me to excersize with you (louie) and How you helped me earn money to pay off my house. I wish I could spend another Holiday with you. Im glad that you are doing good, Im glad K.K. is still singing songs every Saturday Night at nine, Im glad you are having fun, but I want you all back. I missed you, Damn it i still do. I want you all in the same town altogether, like it used to be. I am sorry I did this to you, how I made you move out. I am sorry I cant be there to lift wieghts, or see the latest fasion, or visit the old fashionhed Elk home.
Those words. I dont care how much ink it takes. Maybe it will spark something in their heads, and encourage them to find me, to move out. I wish they will come. God, if your listening, make them come.

I am a "The Sims" fan and I own al seven of the expansions. After Sims I loved Animal Crossing. Even better than the Sims. Everyone says the graphics suck, but I think they really add to the "cutsey" theme of the game. I love the animals and how you can make friends with them and how there is no actual ending. I love how the holidays all happen on "real" time and time doesn't just "fly" like in the Sims. I love everything abuot it! Thank yo Ninetendo for making such a great game!!

I love this game because of the real life time and all the stuff to do! I like running errands! Somtimes i get so many at once I forget where i was supposed to go! It's so cool that like everyday in the beiginning of your game somone new moves in! well not everyday but close enough! i have only about 12 peeps living in my town but there are still more to come!! I love the trill of not knowing what fish your gonna catch!! I hate the sea bass though because i catch them every 5 seconds it really get's annoying. I love everything about this game! My favourite characters are Bones and Anchovey because they are so cute and nice. the others like blaire are rude! but their personalitties may change in different games i don't know but in mine they are so snotty! I am 14 and a female and I LOVE THIS GAME!!!!!!! Oh yah and i spell bad so sorry! LOL! it makes the peeps on the village mad cause i wwrite to many non-sense letters!LOL! but that is awsome because they get mad and write mean letters back!It's like they accualy think:) I will play this game forever!!! The only thing that could make it better is if you could get married( but you would start as a animal) like in harvestmoon. otherwise though this game is da bomb:):):)

I got it about five weeks and so for it is different from any game I have ever played. I love it's style and new life experience. The graphics rule for the kind of gameplay it is. I was looking for something new when getting this game and that is exectly what I've got. If you are tired of the same video game this game is for you. You start off in a train where you meet a new friend that helps you get a house in the new town you will be living in. From there it is up to you on how you live your live in this game. I always wondered if Nintendo could pull off making a fun game whith no violence are even order in which to play. With this game they did exactly that. The newest and most mind blowing thing that make this game different then any other is that it goes by real time. Like maybe a guy would be in your town every Saturday, or on holidays you will celebrat that holiday. You need a full memory card, which mine came with the game, so no problem there. Plus you definitly get your moneys worth in how long and all you can do. I would rate this a 10 for it is just amazing. This game isn't for everyone however, if you can't just chill and relax and don't enjoy building your sourroundings then you probuly wouldnt enjoy this game. I am really looking forward to more games like this in the future.

Life ticks like real time and there is over 350 things to get and own including many old NES games like donkey kong and ballon fight. Overall it was a great game.
