This is one awesome game |
| Moto from Tattoine says (19/Feb/2004): |
I love this game. I've been playing it since the beginning of January and it still hasn't gotten old. Everything is awesome. I just wish that pop and candy would come out of the machines, and that you could slide down the elephant slide. Oh yeah and also that you could play with the pool table and lift weights as well. But other than those this game is the bomb. Even though some of your neighbours are dumb its still cool diggin holes around them when they are sleeping and then waking them up and having them walk in place. Or just pushing them across to the other side of the town while they're sleeping. I firmly believe that this was one of the greatest games to ever come out for a system. Nintendo way to beat Playstation to it. You Rock Nintendo!!!!
My overall rating is 12/10 stars
Fun Factor 10/10 stars
This game never gets old. I've sat down and played it for four hours straight and then played it some more that same night.
If any of you could help me out with the Ranch collection I would greatly appreciate it. Also how many times does Tom Nook remodel his shop. He's remodeled it twice already. Please email me and let me know

This is the BEST GAME EVER!!! |
| David from Wisconsin, USA says (23/May/2004): |
If you like animals and video games and relaxing, then Animal Crossing is the game for you. It has all the pleasures of life without too much work. You can go shopping, donate stuff to a museum, dig up fossils, go fishing, and catch spirits for a gost that will give you stuff... The only real work is paying off your debt, doing stuff for Tom Nook and the villagers, pulling weeds, etc. They also have cheats. (But what game is good without them?) You can get 30,000 bells by entering a simple code. I've done it so often, I almost have it memorized. It's like no other game because it goes on forever. It will never, ever, stop. Different things happen at different times. You can only catch certain fish and insects at certain times of the year. There's also a "living fossil" that only comes out when it rains. VERY RARE! Price value: 15,000 bells. I'm not sure when during the year it comes out, but when it does... CATCH IT! HINT: The 30,000 bells cheat is really helpful when you are trying to pay off your debt to Tom Nook. I payed it off really fast by doing this and it feels great to be debt-free. I hope this review was helpful.

BEST GAME I EVER PLAYED!!!!!! |
| cool gal game lover from kentucky, usa says (16/Jul/2004): |
I love this game. Me and my friend were up until 4:00am playing this game.I love the fact that you can buy and sell items to tom nook, design cloths at the tailor shop, and mail letters to other villagers in your town. There's just endless activities you can do on this game. There is always something you can do and I love the fact you can change the dates anytime you want and you don't have to wait a long time for a holiday to come up. I is so realistic. Everyday there is a money hole with one-thousand dollars burried in it. You can also make money by taking your shovel and hitting it agianst rocks until you find the money rock which will turn red and if you keep hitting it before it turns gray agian you can make around $4,000. Trust me you have got to buy this game. It's a fact that your going to love it. It may be alittle hard earning your money to pay off your house but you do it because you have a larger house to look forward to and you have fun along the way. I am hoping they will make an animal crossing 2. It makes you wonder what they would add on it 'cause I don't know that it can get any better than this.

Great Game |
| A gamer says (28/Dec/2002): |
This is one of the greatest gamecube games ever. For one its almost like real life, the things that blow it off are the animal people and maybe some more. I havent got a full aspect of this game yet I got it for christmas so right now all I have to say is this game is great for everything it has in it! So the reason I happen to be typeing all this wasteing my time when I could be paying off my debt. to Nook. So pretty much this is one of the greatest gamecube games ever. I really like this game so far and sometimes I do get mad at it for reasons like when I tryed putting the snowman together it just wouldnt work. Man I was frusterated. The reason you should have this game is because it is alot like real life now days, its mad fun to play, can have some fun with friends, 4 names at a memory card save block data thing (one of my long things to type),and lastly because this game is just so addicting it can really keep you playing it for a long time. I stayed up for about 10-15 hours playing it christmas day. LOL! Well Bye People. Email me for some help as codes cheats hints I have an official guide book so I can help you!

40 Year Old Mom Loves Animal Crossing |
| Kristin from Vacaville, CA says (2/Jan/2003): |
It's true. This is the greatest game ever. I'm usually not addicted to these things, but this one is great. I think about it when I go to bed at night. I really bought it for my 9 year old daughter. It is the only game she likes to play as well. It's something we talk about and we get into disputes about trading items with each other (she's selfish!). We create other towns and visit them, collecting fruit and items from the junk yard and take them back to our hometown to sell at a huge profit because they're unusual. You would be amazed at the number of things there are to do. Each town you create is a different configuration with different characters. We first started playing it on New Years day, so we stayed up to see what would happen in our town. We went to the river bank and received a noisemaker from the mayor and at midnight fireworks went off and we made noise with our noisemaker. It was so darned cute! The next day we sold the noisemaker to Nook's Cranny for 450 Bells. That was a deal. It's just amazingly amazing. I hope they come out with a second version that is a 2 player game. That would be something.

Best game of all time!!! |
| Erick from Maine, USA says (22/Dec/2003): |
I have had this game for a little over a year now and guess what?... I STILL love it. Waking up in the morning to workout sessions at the tree... picking up new items at Mr. Tom Nooks Department Store. and just hanging out with the animal friends in my town. The only person I still have from the beginning is my trusted friend Bob. I know he wears a dress but he is a friend to me!!!! He is there for me when i need some e-xtra cash to pay Mr. Nook off. Or for a sholder to cry on :)
I have been there for him, and he has been there for me. I am very proud of my house... I have both house models. I have the entire collection from the turkey day celebration, christmas and chess set. I have really enjoyed this game from the start. What withe the going to the island, or my sis's town, or selling turnips. It is just a really great game and i know for a fact that anyone on your holiday christmas(or any other holiday) would love this game under thier tree (monorah ect.)to open up . Over all This game is the best and i recomend it for anyone this holiday season.:)Good Job NINTENDO for making the greatest game of all time!!!

Animal Crossing RULES! |
| Steve from Illinois,USA says (11/Jan/2003): |
OK, i have to start this of saying that i have been playing video games for 12 years of the 14 i have been living and i must say, this game is unlike any other! This game features hundreds maybe thousands of different things you can do. From fishing to catching bugs, to writing letters. You can get a job and pay off your debt. You can expand your house and this game even has a "stalk" market. (similar to the stock market, but with turnips) This game features in addition to everything i have already stated, a real time based system which runs on a real clock. For instance, if you are in December, there will be snow on the ground and if you are in July, everything is green. There are a lot of cheats for this game. Also, If you have a brother or sister who likes this game and you have two memory cards, you can travel by train to there town and shop at there Nook's store. Also, you may see starfish, (or Patrick as my brothers refer to them) on the ground and dig them up for a fossil, furnature, or gyroid. This game is overall one of the best games i have ever played and i highly recommend it to anyone of any age.

must have |
| ryan from maryland says (9/Dec/2002): |
I believe animal crossing is another one of nintendo's innovative ideas, every once in a while nintendo comes out with something like this. One of the neatest things that enhances this game is the connection to the e-reader. If you collect the animal-crossing e-reader cards and link your e-reader to your gamecube you can recieve many neat and hard to find items. And if you haven't already tried this find a friend and travel to their town it will inhance your game. The possibilities and real time gameplay ,give this game unlimited replay value becasue you would have to play the game for more than a year to do the same thing twice. And a years life span for a video game certainly gives you your monoey's worth. I would definetly recommend this game to anyone with cube, atleats rent it and give it a try before you knock it. Anyone who wishes to exchange items please write to me at R31686Korn< remove me > at aol.com and put the subject as animal crossing trade so i know what it is about, otherwise i will notopen it. Happy hunting and i hope i can help you get some neat items like a koopa shell or maybe a ? box.

IT'S GREAT |
| InuyashaKid from Hoffman Estates, Illinois, USA says (23/Jan/2004): |
I think it is a cool game. It helps you relax also. I play a hard battle against Naraku in InuYasha: A Fuedal Fairy Tale or battle The Elite Four in Pokemon: Crystal, and then i relax and play with my Favorite GameCube game, Animal Crossing. But soon my favorite GameCube game will be Pokemon Colluseum, i don't know when it will come out though. The graphics are very good and Ilove the characters, the point of the game, i think, is to see how you live in a life were your the adult and have to live like its a real life thing. The have real life like sound effects too. You hear a bird in the game and it sounds like it's right in the house with you. it sells for a lot of money but you get a free memory card and it's worth it, the value of the game would probally be around $40.00. But i would reccomend renting it first, some people wouldn't like it because it is a little challenging, you know, with the whole buying a house, making it bigger, that stuuf. I hope that you have fun with the game and decide to buy it, oh and by the way, did i mention the animal characters are SO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!

Animal Crossin' is Rockin' |
| A gamer from Scottsdale A.Z. U.S.A. says (17/Apr/2004): |
Animal Crossing is the most fun game I have. My mom dosen't like video games but when I tell her about this one, she actually listens and joins in on the conversation. When I talked about Final Fantesy Chrystal Chronics (A.K.A FFCC) she would would kinda just nod her head and ignore me. For all you lovely fans out there who love PINK FURNITURE i'm with you all the way. I would recomend this game to teens and adults who love games like the Sims. One other thing I liked about the game is they (Nintendo) gives you a free memory card. I also like all the fetures it has like the game boy advance hook up and being able to go to others towns using memory cards.I think that everyones opinion counts so e-mail me, the author at the address shown.I now have a treat for those who are colecting chess pieces or like Star Fox
Airwing:I7r45678912345 E2345678912345
Black Knight:SupermakiobroSAeImAICrOssiNG
Hope you like your gifts and remember, PINK ROCKS, but I guess the space theme is cool to, and so is the backyard theme and the kiddie sieres and modern series is cool to but oh well, See Ya

This Game Rocks!!!! |
| Jeffrey from Krazo, Alabama says (17/Jan/2003): |
Animal Crossing is one of the best games of the year 2002 in my opinion. The Graphics are great, not realistic, but great. The character models are very bright and elaborate. My character is mean looking because I was mean to Rover on the train. The game play is simple but addicting. The story line is straight, find a house, pay off your debts, and furnish your house. I found that the most fun thing is running errands for the townsfolk. Another thing that is really fun is that you can fish, go bug catching, or go treasure hunting. The lifespan is forever. You will never be able to get every single thing in one sitting. This game has 500+ items to collect, trade, and sell. This game gives you more than the other $50.00 games I have played. This is the first original rpg/adventure game since Dungeons and Dragons came out in the 70’s. There are few bugs, but they are hard to find. I highly recommend this game for people age 5 to 500.This game is my favorite game on the Game cube since it first came out. Nintendo has out done them self once again. Keep up the good work Nintendo.

Animal Crossing needs something |
| Amy okmuro from Cy. CA. America. says (28/Mar/2004): |
Hi this is Amy Okamuro,
I think animal crossing needs something, i say it needs to have a pet shop for us pet lovers so we can get dogs, and it needs to let you work full time if we whant to so we can pay off our debts faster, it needs a mall. it needs to let me get a cool car, it needs to let more players play at 1 time. other than that its a good game. i think they should make another Animal Crossing dont you. Animal Crossing is a fabulas game, But i dont own my own im barowing my friends, isn't she nice.(hahaha). What do you like to do on Animal Crossing? I like to help the animals or go shopping at NookAway, or catch bugs and fish, and i love my hamster cage. love this game. love gamecube dont you. im being a stupid blabber mouth, sorry but i have to say a lot of stuff. My person in Animal Crossing is a CUTE pink haired girl who looks good in pink. i am a big Animal Crossing fan and i cant wait to get a two story house. Six Monthes of addicted playing |
| Anyhony and Elvina's MOM from Windsor, California says (28/Dec/2003): |
So many things about this game is too cool. Both of my kids have this game and two towns to play in is way better than one! I'm completely hooked on this game. To whoever asked to get Gracies fashions you have to talk to her and then wash her car extremely fast by pushing the green button as fast as you possibly can, my son had to do it for me! So far I have payed off my debt and have 5 million in the post office/bank on my sons game. On my daughters i'm just now paying off my last loan. It's alot of fun when you keep a code book with codes to make more money! In fact I keep my own code book and don't share it, it makes paying off debts much easier and you can then make the money you need to have on hand to buy whatever you want as it comes your way. My favorite charecters are chico, Wolfgang, Aurora, and Vesta. I guess I really like my island person too, his name is Boomer and he is definately on the weird side! If you can get the adults in your family to play along with you it's kinda cool because each person playing a little every day makes the game more interesting.

Animal crossing rocks!!! |
| mystery women from Us says (30/Sep/2004): |
Animal crossing is the best game ever. I have three memory cards filled up with animal crossing. I even got my mom addicted to it I have payed of all my loans on one memory card and almost all of my loan on another and the other memory card I just started. Any time any of my friends come over I always tell them to try and play it half the people I know have bought the game it is so life like how you can decorate and buy stuff. I like to draw on Blancas face that is so fun it is cool how the animals all have diffrent attitudes just like in real life and how they get mad and sad and happy like if they are watching when you catch a fish they start to clap for you. The only thing that bothers me is everytime I write one of them they write me back what are you talking about or thanks for the letter even though it made no sense. I have a question through even though I bought this game since it came out I didnt think you could get engaged but someone told me you could does anyone know if its true if it is will you e-mail me to tell me how I think it would be interesting.

What a classic game!!!!!! |
| Matt from Roxbury, NY, USA says (28/Dec/2003): |
Let me just start off, oh my god! this game kicks so much ass.
The minute that i picked up that controller to play i've never put it down!! Now all i do is eat sleep breathe and live Animal Crossing. The best part about the game is building your house. I love the whole aspect of this game, it is just sooooo incredible
i am sure that i am NOT the only one to say this but it is like the sims only like 1000 times better. I am addicted and i cant stop playing, gotta get more money, pay my debt back and get a bigger house and get more furniture. The possibilitties of this game are never-ending. That is why this is quite possibly the best game ever.
I CANT WAIT FOR A SEQUEL, whenever that may happen, hopefully soon
This is the code for 100 turnips, yes i cheat but i can admit it
Write this im a letter to any animal in town (Put the Key LOgo)

not as bad as i thought |
| sean schafer from new york, usa says (6/Jul/2003): |
well, when i first saw pics of ac, i was like, what is this? it had crappy graphics and looked very kiddy. i had heard from other people that it was pretty cool, so i got it. the first thing i noticed is that the graphics are not as bad as i thought. the still screen graphics suck, but the in game animated graphics are great. the framerate is very smooth, but it still doesnt push the gamecube anywhere close to its limits. it controled very well, very simple, but very well. it was very fun at first, but then it started to get repettitive. cathing bugs and such eventually turned into all the same. helping people over and over to get stuff got repettitve. hitting people with the net was fun though ^.^ the best part of the game was that you can play old nes games and design you own clothing template. mine looks like link from the original zelda, its so cool. overall this game it better than i thought, but thats it, it isnt very challenging, isnt overly impressive graphically, and in time gets repettitive. its good, but there are far better on the gamecube.

This game isn't just for kids!! I LOVE IT!!!! |
| A gamer from Georgetown, Indiana says (29/Jul/2004): |
We bought this game for our 8 & 10 year old kids at Christmas a year ago, and now my husband and I play all the time. We have all gotten the biggest houses, and paid off all of our debt and we still love it. It is the cutest game I have ever seen. We even play at night after the kids have gone to bed. You can plant flowers everywhere, design your own clothes and umbrellas, rearrange your house anyway you like, (but you better clean it a lot or you will get $#< remove me > at !roaches!) One time I got my forune told by Katrina and I tripped and fell everytime I ran, it was so funny! It was winter, so I was slipping and falling on my face constantly!! I love to fish and just recently we discoverd a HUGE new fish called an Arapaima that is worth 10,000 bells. Every Saturday night we let KK sing to us and get his new tunes. My husband has a lab in his basement with a toilet and a farting gyroid next to it, and my son has collected so many gyroids, his entire basement is full of them! We've been playing for over a year & a 1/2 and still love it, it never gets boring!!!

Great way to calm down after a stressful action game |
| zeldasoraanimalcrossin' from paso roble california says (17/Jan/2004): |
I am a huge Zelda fan and love those games i also love kingdom hearts even though i hate retarded disney but it's a fab game anyway. When I first heard about animal crossing i thought "Why would i waste my time on a toddler game like that?"Anyway i ended up renting it and i hated it!!!! One of my friends bought it and loved it so i rented it again. I thought it may be a good way to calm myself down before or after an intense boss fight in The windwaker. The first time i retried it it turned out to be so much more than that i loved it!!! I can't stop playing and have totally abandoned The windwaker and kingdom hearts. I am totally gonna buy it!! I've only upgraded my house once and am havin' tons of fun payin' of my debt!! By the way if you've got ace in your town isn't he irritating he always gets in the way. Barbra's a jerk too. she painted my friends roof pink without asking her and she hates pink.RUDE MUCH!!!!!! The one thing i dislike about it is that you can't choose what you look like cuz my character is really freaky lookin'
|
I think that animal crossing is cool, but... |
| black_flash from portland, usa says (9/Jun/2004): |
Animal crossing is in 1 word, addictive! But that does not mean it is without it's flaws. Let's face it, after a while it just get's boring, just like every other game. Although there are some games that just stay perfect, like donkey kong, super mario 3, and excitabike. Now i'm not saying that animal crossing is a bad game, far from that. Animal crossing is a very fun game. You can hunt for bugs, fish, or even make your own clothes. The thing I dislike about the game is when a person puts in a cheat or "code". Why would you do that, I mean it just takes the fun out of playing. A-C is in some ways the perfict game. After you get the game you will find there is almost always something to, except when you play for about 20 minutes and don't change the day. I myself can only play for about 10 minutes then I have to stop. Now that I have my bills payed off I personally like to fish in the fishing tourny, hunt for bugs, and collecting rare artifacts. In all, animal crossing get's a 7.8 from me, but that is just my feelings about the game.
