This is the BEST GAME EVER!!! | | David from Wisconsin, USA says (23/May/2004): | If you like animals and video games and relaxing, then Animal Crossing is the game for you. It has all the pleasures of life without too much work. You can go shopping, donate stuff to a museum, dig up fossils, go fishing, and catch spirits for a gost that will give you stuff... The only real work is paying off your debt, doing stuff for Tom Nook and the villagers, pulling weeds, etc. They also have cheats. (But what game is good without them?) You can get 30,000 bells by entering a simple code. I've done it so often, I almost have it memorized. It's like no other game because it goes on forever. It will never, ever, stop. Different things happen at different times. You can only catch certain fish and insects at certain times of the year. There's also a "living fossil" that only comes out when it rains. VERY RARE! Price value: 15,000 bells. I'm not sure when during the year it comes out, but when it does... CATCH IT! HINT: The 30,000 bells cheat is really helpful when you are trying to pay off your debt to Tom Nook. I payed it off really fast by doing this and it feels great to be debt-free. We have all gotten the biggest houses, and paid off all of our debt and we still love it. It is the cutest game I have ever seen. We even play at night after the kids have gone to bed. You can plant flowers everywhere, design your own clothes and umbrellas, rearrange your house anyway you like, (but you better clean it a lot or you will get $#< remove me > at !roaches!) One time I got my forune told by Katrina and I tripped and fell everytime I ran, it was so funny! It was winter, so I was slipping and falling on my face constantly!! I love to fish and just recently we discoverd a HUGE new fish called an Arapaima that is worth 10,000 bells. Every Saturday night we let KK sing to us and get his new tunes. My husband has a lab in his basement with a toilet and a farting gyroid next to it, and my son has collected so many gyroids, his entire basement is full of them! We've been playing for over a year & a 1/2 and still love it, it never gets boring!!!

The town, the animals, the diverse ways to make bells (ie money). I am 41 years old and wanted animal crossing since it came out. My 7 yr old son just got it for me as an early b-day present! How sweet is that? Now everyone in the house is fighting for their turn and "calling dibbs" to be the first one in Tom Nook's in the morning. In this game you get to be the winner you always hoped you could be. So what is there to do in "L.A." (my son named the town)? Fish, write letters, garden, shake the trees for bells, design your own clothes, or practice interior design. This game just gives and gives. Hey, I even like Resetti! If you are bored with gaming and need something new, try animal xing! Mitzi is aaron's best friend and aaron( a girl)is in love with Aziz. Strange, huh. I don't know how to find mushrooms are get a Gracie fashion. Will someone tell me how. I hate Blair and Mint. I can't stand them. Hurruhh! I am 14 too and I'm a girl. I played this game all summer, from 8:00AM to 2:00PM. I lack sleep and have bloodshot eyes, but I don't care. Waking up in the morning to workout sessions at the tree... picking up new items at Mr. Tom Nooks Department Store. and just hanging out with the animal friends in my town. The only person I still have from the beginning is my trusted friend Bob. I know he wears a dress but he is a friend to me!!!! He is there for me when i need some e-xtra cash to pay Mr. Nook off. Or for a sholder to cry on :)
I have been there for him, and he has been there for me. I am very proud of my house... I have both house models. I have the entire collection from the turkey day celebration, christmas and chess set. I have really enjoyed this game from the start.What withe the going to the island, or my sis's town, or selling turnips. It is just a really great game and i know for a fact that anyone on your holiday christmas(or any other holiday) would love this game under thier tree (monorah ect.)to open up . Over all This game is the best and i recomend it for anyone this holiday season.:)Good Job NINTENDO for making the greatest game of all time!!!

Animal crossing is just the best game I've ever played especialy for the Game Cube. I've had it since it came out and have not stopped playing it yet I have played other games as well but none can keep my interest as long as Animal Crossing has. I've never missed a day of play with my Animal Crossing game i say every one in the world should own a coppy and even if you hate animals and video games this can get u hooked on bolth. The game has to do with you moveing to a new town to live on your own and you move to a town of animals where you buy a house and have to work off your debt, get expantions, complet furniture siries, make friends, collect full versins of NES games (not the best NES games but still awsome ones), fill a museum with art you find, dino bones (made by sending fossils to a far away museum), fish, and bugs,and get a golden ax, a golden shovel, a golden fising rod, and a golden bug net and get more animals to come to your town by makeing it weed free and flower and fruit tree filled but not too many just enough to make it look good. The character models are very bright and elaborate. My character is mean looking because I was mean to Rover on the train. The game play is simple but addicting. The story line is straight, find a house, pay off your debts, and furnish your house. I found that the most fun thing is running errands for the townsfolk. Another thing that is really fun is that you can fish, go bug catching, or go treasure hunting. The lifespan is forever. You will never be able to get every single thing in one sitting. This game has 500+ items to collect, trade, and sell. This game gives you more than the other $50.00 games I have played. This is the first original rpg/adventure game since Dungeons and Dragons came out in the 70’s. There are few bugs, but they are hard to find. I highly recommend this game for people age 5 to 500.This game is my favorite game on the Game cube since it first came out. Nintendo has out done them self once again. | Better than any other Video Game!!! | | Tom Nook from Texas, USA says (21/Apr/2003): | When I first saw those scary commercials on TV with people dressed up as cartoons, I can admit that I was scared. At rental stores, there are usually about 5 extra copies just sitting there, so I decided to rent one, and try it out. Then I took a look at the back of the game, and nearly screamed. ONE WHOLE MEMORY CARD DEVOTED TO THIS GAME!!! Now it must be really worth it, I thought. We bought another memory card at the store, and when we got home, I turned on the GC, and I played that night. I couldn't stop playing. So I bought my own copy. The game goes on forever, so you can have fun all year round. There are original NES games included, so it is about 15 games in one. Each game is different, so every town has a different layout, and you can travel to other people's games. You can customize your own house interior, so the theme may be exotic, spooky, Japanese style, and much more. Up to four people can live in the same village, and they all can interact, for example, you can sell items to other people, or if you talk to animals in the town, they will comment about other people. There are so many other great things that I loved about this game, but one main detail was that I had the most fun playing Animal Crossing than any other game!

I am a "The Sims" fan and I own al seven of the expansions. After Sims I loved Animal Crossing. Even better than the Sims. Everyone says the graphics suck, but I think they really add to the "cutsey" theme of the game. I love the animals and how you can make friends with them and how there is no actual ending. I love how the holidays all happen on "real" time and time doesn't just "fly" like in the Sims. I love everything abuot it! Thank yo Ninetendo for making such a great game!!

Me and my friend were up until 4:00am playing this game.I love the fact that you can buy and sell items to tom nook, design cloths at the tailor shop,and mail letters to other villagers in your town. There's just endless activities you can do on this game. There is always something you can do and I love the fact you can change the dates anytime you want and you don't have to wait a long time for a holiday to come up. I is so realistic. Everyday there is a money hole with one-thousand dollars burried in it. You can also make money by taking your shovel and hitting it agianst rocks until you find the money rock which will turn red and if you keep hitting it before it turns gray agian you can make around $4,000. Trust me you have got to buy this game. It's a fact that your going to love it. It may be alittle hard earning your money to pay off your house but you do it because you have a larger house to look forward to and you have fun along the way. I am hoping they will make an animal crossing 2. It makes you wonder what they would add on it 'cause I don't know that it can get any better than this.

How cool is that?! I've dubbed it the sims for the schedule challenged. Look at it this way, your character doesn't get mad at you, go bankrupt, or die! That would do it for pretty much any kid who is terrible at any other type of video game. And the characters are animals! Savannah and Pecan are my girls! My baby likes the kitty cats and monkeys. The graphics are neat, the sound is excellent, and unless I earn every item in Nook's catalog somehow I will be playing for a very long time. Oh and my baby still works for Nook so if he gets into it as much as I have (someday) we could probably still be playing it 20 years from now (on mini-disc on cell phones?) Hey it could happen, I still have a Nintendo. I am sorry, but anyone who can't find something they really like about this game needs to get an imagination or a sense of humor! It's just the most fun thing to ever happen to a Nintendo system. If the rumors are true and there is a sequel coming, I'm getting it! What was up with the strange commercials for it, I'm glad I took a chance in the video store.
P.S. My son loves watching them eat, sleep and waking up, and the way their eyes bug out of their heads and the noise it makes when you bang your shovel on concrete or rocks :)

When i got it, it was even better. I think its so awesome you can make friends by sending letters and can visit othere towns. My whole town is covered in fruit trees and tom nooks shop is a department store now and has 2 foors. Its awesome. My house has 2 floors and i have tons off rare items. ive played this for over a 2 years and i still love it. Now im trying something out. I heard from another site that if you put items in your saved letters at the post office when you delete the town the letters will still be there. i'm trying that out but im putting my money in the othere town just in case lol! Try it out? i have alot of codes from othere sites and i almost know everything about the game! I even know how boy characters can get a inhabitant girlfriend and get a kiss or a get dumped bye her. I even got my mom addicted to it I have payed of all my loans on one memory card and almost all of my loan on another and the other memory card I just started. Any time any of my friends come over I always tell them to try and play it half the people I know have bought the game it is so life like how you can decorate and buy stuff. I like to draw on Blancas face that is so fun it is cool how the animals all have diffrent attitudes just like in real life and how they get mad and sad and happy like if they are watching when you catch a fish they start to clap for you. The only thing that bothers me is everytime I write one of them they write me back what are you talking about or thanks for the letter even though it made no sense. I have a question through even though I bought this game since it came out I didnt think you could get engaged but someone told me you could does anyone know if its true if it is will you e-mail me to tell me how I think it would be interesting.

You move to a town of animals and have to buy a house and expand it, plus there are lots of items and collectibles and even over a dozen classic NES games to find and put in your house! This game kept my attention for almost a year, and it's easily worth its $29.99 price tag. I give it a 10 because it's original and is so fun to play. You can have up to 4 human players move into your town, and up to 15 computer players in your town. Activities include fishing, catching bugs, shopping, going on treasure hunts and many other things. You can sell it all to the shop owner Tom Nook to get more bells (the money used in Animal Crossing), and have your house made bigger, for a price.
Graphics: 7/10
So-so graphics for Gamecube. Looks like N-64 graphics. But the game makes up for it in all the other categorys. Also, you should be able to look around in a first-person view.
Play Control: 9/10
Basic play control, but buying things (like turnips) shouldn't be one item at a time; you should be able to purchase multiple copies of items simultaneously. Overall it's good.

Real-time gameplay that cycles through hours, days ,weeks, months, and years. Animal characters, A monkey as the train attendant, and a racoon as a shop owner, make this a totally originally experience.

The minute that i picked up that controller to play i've never put it down!! Now all i do is eat sleep breathe and live Animal Crossing.The best part about the game is building your house. I love the whole aspect of this game, it is just sooooo incredible
i am sure that i am NOT the only one to say this but it is like the sims only like 1000 times better. I am addicted and i cant stop playing, gotta get more money, pay my debt back and get a bigger house and get more furniture. The possibilitties of this game are never-ending. That is why this is quite possibly the best game ever.

| This Game Rox! | | Rae Rae from Paris, France says (25/Jan/2004): | The first time I played it I was at my cousin's house but I was so hooked that the next day I went to Best Buy and bought it! I love this game! I got my sister hooked on it two, but that isn't good because now all she wants to do it play it..... I play it every day and never get tired of it! One of my favorite things to do is go around and hit everybody on the head with the net, then push them, and dig holes around them and watch them beep at me. I know it sounds harsh but it is just SO much fun, and it's not like they're real anyhow! I play this in all my free time, even in my taken time! ;) At first when I saw it in an ad on TV I was like, "What a dumb game!" but then I played it and I love it! I used to play Sims 24/7 but now I play Animal Crossing instead! I guess my Sims are missing me ...;) The best thing is you can play it forever and never get tired of it, I got tired of Sims after a week!
