please help me | | bob from illinois says (11/Jul/2005): | first id like to say that animal crossing is totally awsome. its just like a very old game i have on N64, Harvest Moon. but i have a couple questions, first can u get pets? and if so wat types and how? second, can u get a girlfriend? if so how? and also can u get married? and last can u have a kid? please e-mail me. that would be very much appreciated. i really need help.

| best game EVER | | Dragon 94 from Oregon,USA says (27/Jul/2005): | Hello I'm Dragon 94.I like this game so that I got it and Iplayed it from 10:00 am-1:00am!!I have like 10 memrorycards and each have one game of Animal Crossing!It game is soooooo esay to get in to!Igot the gamecube I got this and now it is the must used system in my house.I let a friend know she got it and she is adicted,too.now when me friends come over all we do is play animal crossing.Ican't wait until this game cames out for the ds!!!!!!here are my ratings:
Graphics:10/10 for a game that came out in 2001-2002 it has great graphics!!!!
sound:9/10 Iloved the sound it's just i wished they could of spoke English!!!!
gameplay:11/10 the game was sooooooo adictive now that is what I call super gameplay
lifespan:9/10 i just wish you could die if you did not eat,etc.
fun factor:10/10 it could of got an 11 if you could clean,cook,etc.

| Capitalism Training Made Fun Fun Fun! | | Fuzzy Laurie from Mesa, Arizona says (9/Aug/2003): | Look, I'm 35 so I think it's ok if all I want to do is make more bells to buy more cool stuff for my pad, and whap animals I don't like over the head with my butterfly net. However, if you are getting this game for your munchkin, you may want to think about what sort of lessons you are teaching with this game.
A) You need more bells to be happy.
B) You can get bells by denuding the landscape of wildlife and selling them to the evil capitalist racoon, Nook (all of whose wares are "steals").
C) There's nothing like spending a day alone in your pad, rearranging your belongings.
D) Living in debt is a fact of life.
E) You should be nice to others because they may offer you some goodies.
Oh, it's all a heck of a lot of fun, but I'm not sure I would let my kids under the age of, say, 12, play with it, due to these underlying game truths. Then again, it's probably better than letting them play the other bloodfest games like Resident Evil or sex-doll games like Tomb Raider. And there are bunny balloons.

The town, the animals, the diverse ways to make bells (ie money). I am 41 years old and wanted animal crossing since it came out. My 7 yr old son just got it for me as an early b-day present! How sweet is that? Now everyone in the house is fighting for their turn and "calling dibbs" to be the first one in Tom Nook's in the morning. In this game you get to be the winner you always hoped you could be. So what is there to do in "L.A." (my son named the town)? Fish, write letters, garden, shake the trees for bells, design your own clothes, or practice interior design. This game just gives and gives. Hey, I even like Resetti! If you are bored with gaming and need something new, try animal xing! and i like the way the u meet ppl as u work 4 them and gain trust amoung the villagers.
Also the graphics may not b up 2 scratch but i think they really work with the game as they r cute.
Also u get a free memory card which is good as me and many ppl find that u dnt always have space 2 save games on so thats a real help in my eyes.
i would reccomend this game 2 ne person hu like the sims or games such as that as this.
this is defanitly the best game that nintendo have produced as it challeneges the amazing golden eye and zelda as this helps the player get involved in a young persons life.
its kinda like adopting a young person and telling him wot tp do and how to do it.
in magazines this game has had 90 out of 100 marks and also 9.5 out of 10 in others.

I looked at it, saw how they all sat and ooh-ed and aah-ed over this game that looked so stupid! A little guy holding a shovel, looking for holes to dig? I asked "What is the point of this game?" They told me, "You just go around and do stuff." What was the point of this game? I never had my question answered! So, for some reason, I went out and I actually bought the game, I played it, I AM HOOKED! I can't believe it! I used to make fun of the people I saw playing this ridiculous looking game; fishing, selling turnips, WHAT? This game, by far, is the best game I have played since as long as I can remember. Now, I know there are gonna be some others just like me saying "What is the point of this game?" And I say to them, "You just go around and do stuff!" Play it, you will be hooked too! | Animal Crossing is A MUST HAVE!! | | Amigh Keeilng from Sacramento, CA says (4/Nov/2002): | This game is great, it turned me from a non-video game player to a everyday player. It is amazing how time goes along with ours. The graphics are a little bit cheezy, but the rest of the game rates #1 in my book. I like how it never ends, and how each holiday you can get really neat things. The backgrounds change with the seasons, which is really cool, and the accuracy of the fish and bug season. Its funny, some of the animals you start to dislike, and other ones are your favorites, its kinda like in real life, but with animals! I can't wait to get another memory card so I can start another town and visit it. I think I might have to get another Game Cube so my boyfriend can have his back! For anyone thinking about getting this game it is a must, from pulling weeds, and planting flowers and trees, from fishing to bug catching to helping out your favorite animals, this game is great, I have never seen anything like it, and for anyone who is wondering, yes you have to have it.

I tell you what, don't worry about renting this game first, just buy it! If there are anymore people who are thinking of moving into your town, just remember to be the first one to save on the free memory card they give you. By doing so you get a free gift from nintendo, that being two nintendo games to start you off, rather than waiting for Nook to finally start selling them. In this game, you seemingly can do anything and the whole idea of wanting to make a game that you could play for the rest of your life for only 5 - 15 minutes a day has definitely been seen through and accomplished. here are so many different objectives to accomplish within the game that I can't imagine getting tired of it. It is definitely a must buy, and I realize that I have not given it justice in this review, but it is without doubt worth the 10 stars I've given it. (I can only hope that Metroid Prime will be as good also)

Any ways i cain't wait till the sequel comes out. i love this game more than the sims. i got this game like 2 years ago than i lost it but happy me i found it. I love getting the songs an all that. I am so nuts i've played this game for so long i can acully(sorry not very good at spellin) understand the animals. ha ha ha ha ha. I have loads more cheats for my game i haven't even checked them all out yet.

So i was mad! Then my boyfriend bought the gamecube and animal crossing for me,because he thought it would be something like sims. It kinda is but in my opion it's 100 times better! Everyone calls me shel-bell so when i started the game i decided to use the nickname bell and all the animals were making fun of my name and i didn't know why until i found out that bell is the name for money! I love this game! Everyone in my house is addicted to it! I dont like how much the house costs to get an upgraded house but other than those things animal crossing is a good game but if you can control the sims instead of telling them what to do I'd play it all the time. so animal crossing has pro's and cons same with the sims but i still like the sims more and i would suggest you buy it instead of animal crossing. I'd consider my self an expert at games and experts know alot about games i have a game cube, ps2 ps1 gamboy, gamboy advance and n64 and i beat almost all my games except for the sims and animal crossing and thats because you can't beat them there are still a few games besides that i havn't beat but im very close

It is just too much fun and I love it. I love the fishing, the bug catching, the buying, selling, trading and house designing......I love it all! Animal Crossing, in my opinion, is the best game out for Gamecube right now. And the best part? It never ends! Since it runs on real time, you actually have to wait for events and holidays. That fact alone, for me, makes the game 100 times better. Why? Becuase If I play a game and beat it too fast, I get bored with it. But there hasnt been a day gone by, since I bought it, that I havent picked up that controller. I purchased the game on October 28th and I havent put it down. I love this game! I got my sister hooked on it two, but that isn't good because now all she wants to do it play it..... I play it every day and never get tired of it! One of my favorite things to do is go around and hit everybody on the head with the net, then push them, and dig holes around them and watch them beep at me. I know it sounds harsh but it is just SO much fun, and it's not like they're real anyhow! I play this in all my free time, even in my taken time! ;) At first when I saw it in an ad on TV I was like, "What a dumb game!" but then I played it and I love it! I used to play Sims 24/7 but now I play Animal Crossing instead! I guess my Sims are missing me ...;) The best thing is you can play it forever and never get tired of it, I got tired of Sims after a week!

I know how a lot of parents get onto their kids for not doing something that expands their minds, or is educational... I know mine do! I almost always get in trouble for sitting for hours at a time, playing games that don't stretch my knowledge or teach me something. However, Animal Crossing is the single exception.
It's almost like real life, with a twist. You have to learn how to manage money in order to pay off debts, which is something that would likely happen in one's life. You have to learn how to get along with others, and how to help others in order to help yourself. There are many things one could learn from playing this game... yet it's fun at the same time! There are parties to go to, people to talk to, places to visit and so much more! The possibilites could never end!
I'm so glad Nintendo decided to make this game... In my opinion, it's one of the best! Cheers!

I pooped it in my brothers gamecube and got very very addicted. i mean, come on! bapping people on th head with nets? that is so cool. (and entertaining) i mustve made a lot of people move away from my beloved lalaland.. (dont ask). The only thing i havent done (and its been 2 days since i got it) is gotten married (ive got my eyes on that billy goat...mahahahaah!!!! no, hes sorta weird, ("dangnabbit!")) but i just dont know how. everyone MST GET IT NOW! my brothers friend says its for 5 year olds (well...grass made out of scares and triangles DOES make it a little childish) but he will pay....oh he will paayyy!!!!!

You can interact with alot of people and, well......... make your own life in this game. Its also fun because of its grafics. They make look poor, but they really make the game better. Its really fun for all ages! This gaem, I exoect, will go on for around 30 more years before populatite goes down, but it will always be hot with me. It also has no "codes", only hints, which will teach alittle pacience and people will work to earn things. After all, this game was made buy the best game company NINTENDO! The sound in it is funny, and in your house you can get a boom-box, and games,which letts you play lots of other games in this game. This game is so original, because not many games have bad graphics, yet make it out so well. The originality and the game-play are the two most important factors to make this game such a sucsess!

Graphics: I would give it an 8.5 for graphics, good but a little too blocky. In AC2 make almost like the graphics in Metroid Prime
Gameplay: 100 out of 10, the best game in almost the whole (did I say almost, mistake, the best) wide world.
Sound: 10 out of 10, love the Animaliese, great effect, you can also change to Bebeiese or silent.
Well thats all I have to say and I will write more reviews for this game in the future, so for now thats all she wrote.

I played it and he couldnt pry the controller from my fingers. There is so much to do! My favorite part is designing your home any way you want it! You can do almost anything you do in real life... fishing, cutting down trees, planting flowers, catching bugs, sending and recieving mail, taking trips, going to the museum, donating, etc. I must have played for at least 8 hours straight. THATS HOW FUN IT IS! You have to get this game! Its so awesome how they actually make days the same as real life days. like the real holidays are actual holiday on the game! If you dont have a game cube, it is worth getting just for THIS game! i dont think i will ever get another game again! You can play forever! 100+++ stars for ANIMAL CROSSING!
