Picking weeds is boring!!! |
| The Principal's daughter from North Carolina, U.S.A. says (30/Nov/2003): |
I honestly think that the fun-factor of this game is like 5, but every thing else is okay. I mean, I sit there and pick weeds for almost 45 minutes and the whole town is still covered in grass-type thingys. Oh and it is taking me foreva to pay of my house (shack). I mean I guess it would be fine if they would come out with some thing to get you all the way to the end of the game, but no they make you sit there and work, and it would'nt be so bad if video games weren't suppossed to be fun!!! Oh and Rover is so annoying!!!! And I don't know who has anough time to play that game for hours every day just to keep bugs from infesting you'r house!!! THe graphics are okay, and the lifespan (What life span)! But if you live in a duplex like I do and you don't have a pet, it's fun to watch you'r "pet" run around pulling weeds!

the only game i've ever liked |
| rochell from Chubbuck, ID United states says (27/Jan/2003): |
i was addicted to this game the second i picked up the controler. i loved the animals and the way it was set up. i've never played any video game more than two times up until animal crossing. i love that you don't have a life meeter. it was so different from any other game i've ever played. the way it is put together makes it an instant classic. the animals could use a little work, especially when you get more into the game. sometimes it's monotonous and can get old. then something happens and i'm hooked again. i really like all the codes and suprises you can find on the web, but it's more fun to find out the little suprises on your own. i really like the way the characters talk. but i really wish you could say things you would like to say to the characters and not have your answers already put in by the computer.

The Ultimate Game ever!!!!! |
| Zachry v. from U.S.A. Texas TX says (6/Mar/2003): |
This is the ultimate Game EVER!!!!!!At first all my friends(and enimies.) hated Animal Crossing.(they still do.) So I bought the game and fell in love with it!!!Mitzi the Cat is my fav of all characters I write to her she writes back, almost every time she gets down I talk to her and she instantly starts singing in joy.
Thhen I told 1 friend and sometimes we trade memory cards and visit each others town. I named my Town Town.(silly)Every day i'm soooooo eager to get back from school just so I can play.
I also have some great tips for pros and beginers.
Tip#1: July 4th is a great way to catch the Aripama(10,000 Bells)
Tip#2:Get abasement for your 2nd upgrade(then u have to pay 48,000 bells!)
Tip#3: When you can go to the island use it to get max money.
That is all I can think about hope my tips help!

Best Game Ever |
| Stephanie from DeKalb,USA says (23/Feb/2003): |
This really is the best game ever. When I first saw the ads I was really interested because it looked differant than the other games out there. So I bought a Gamecube and Animal Crossing and havent stopped playing since! That was 3 months ago! Although the graphics are not the best it is made up for with being able to design your own house, umbrellas and clothes. And eventhough I have completely paid off my house with all the expansions I still have the museum to complete and more. In short, the playability of this game is amazing. You can keep playing and it doesn't end. I do have one complaint though. I usually want to play at around 3 or 4 or in the morning. Not much going on then. Whoever said this is a game for little kids is wrong! I played for 9 hours yesterday and I'm 19.

This game is AMAZING. |
| Penguin Freak says (31/Oct/2002): |
I don't play a lot of video games, I'm usually on my computer while my brother is on the gamecube. This game is different. You can organize your room, do favors, write/send letters and get responses, give presents, pay off debt (yes you have to pay off debt for your house), get new clothes, fish, catch bugs, chop down trees, plant flowers, plant trees, dig up fossils, get your roof painted, make moolah-and so much more it's scary. It runs on real time, so today (yay, it's Halloween!) All the townspeople are excited about the holiday, and tonight they'll all be in their costumes! (All the SAME costume too). It's the kind of game where you KNOW HOW to cheat, and easily CAN cheat, but it's a million times funner if you don't. I give this game 40 stars-out of 5.

Most addicting game I have ever played! |
| Ben from Albany NY USA says (11/Aug/2003): |
Honestly, i'm not so into video games. My brother is and he purchased the game and played it non-stop. I hadn't played the game at that point and thought it was...well, childish. But, then I played the game and I absoulutly loved it. My brother is now making me pay to play it. The graphics and sound are excelent, but I love everything about the gameplay. I love fishing in the ocean until my pockets are filled with red snappers, I love doing errands for townspeople and getting items, I love rearanging my furniture in my house, I love catching bugs, some people would say everything gets repetitive but it doesnt. This is the best game i have played or ever will play. If someone asked me if they should buy it I would say yes in a second!

THE ONLY GAME I SPENT 7 HOURS PLAYING!!!!! |
| masterlugi from South Carolina, United States says (18/Jan/2003): |
This game is awsome!!! The only reason i get off it, is if my mom calls me for dinner or lunch or breakfeast. I just can't stop. Running errands for townsfolk or taking knives from the harvest festival and giving them to franklin or going fishing. Digging up fossils and donateing them or selling them for BIG bells. If you love rpg games this game is for you. even if it is an E rated game I think you would LOVE it. at first i thought it would be sorta stupid but i really like it and it is very addictave. Me and my freind ended up playing this game until 2 in the morning and we ended up sleeping in really late. If you usually play video games non-stop, then you will play this game for atleast 12 hours thats how great it is

Addictive!!!!!!! |
| Tommy Vercetti from New Jersey, USA says (29/Mar/2003): |
This game is summed up in one word. addictive! It is amazing. I have had the game since the day it came out, and have been playing it ever since. People say that the graphics aren't good, but it is by nintendo. The game is geared toward children. If you don't like it, don't play it. If you've ever played The Sims, you'll love this. It's ten times better. Don't be fooled by the way the game looks. It's not easy. There is a lot to do, and it take's a lot of patients. I remembe how I was showing the game book to my friend who has like every game in existance. He said it looked retarted, and I said "buy it." two days later, he had it and said it was the best. The game is so original, and that is why I like it.

Suprised it cost 29.99!!! |

animal crossing |
| Nikki from Macon GA U.S.A. says (4/Oct/2002): |
I dont really get into video games, but this video game is awesome. You can mail letters, do favors, plant flowers, paticipate in festivities. There is always something going on in your town. It is very educational as well as fun. All age groups would enjoy it. I loose track of time when I play. i get so into the game doing favors for the towns animals that I wind up playing for hours at a time. You just cant help it. It is so fun getting to decorate your own house the way you want it, and knowing that everything thing you have you have earned. This game is a must have for all ages. I agree with some of the other reviews that this game alone is worth buying the game cube.

Animal Crossing Mania |
| Ray from Verona, Pennsylvania, USA says (28/Jan/2003): |
I think that this game is complete for anybody who enjoy's setting out on their own. I've always been a huge fan of Harvest Moon and although this game isn't that entirely, it still has that feeling of spontanious actions and unique suprises. This game could be one that I would play for awhile because I don't have to play for hours to accomplish things. Once you get settled in the game gets kinda routine like but you can still put some extras on with the Game links to the Gameboy Adv and the EZ Reader. As long as this game keeps new and fresh I'll never stop playing! Could there every be a Animal Crossing 2.....who knows.

the number of stars X 10000000000000000000000000. |

Well worth the time |
| Cody says (12/Mar/2003): |
When I first bought Animal Crossing I had high hope and wan not disapointed. I've owned the game for about 4 or 5 months now and still I have only a fraction of what's avalable. Some people may shy away from the whole Sim catigory because of how much time you have to put into it, and I can tell you now, It is well worth it to be able to walk into your own house, see the furniture you bought, sit in your coutch and watch your TV. Or even to be able to play the NES you were fortunate enough to win in a raffle. I could go on like this but I should get back to my town, and you should do the same!

This is the best! |
| evon from Mingo, USA says (2/Nov/2003): |
I don't know why, but this game is addictive. I love everything about this game. My favorite characters are Mitzi and Aziz. Mitzi is aaron's best friend and aaron( a girl)is in love with Aziz. Strange, huh. I don't know how to find mushrooms are get a Gracie fashion. Will someone tell me how. I hate Blair and Mint. I can't stand them. Hurruhh! I am 14 too and I'm a girl. I played this game all summer, from 8:00AM to 2:00PM. I lack sleep and have bloodshot eyes, but I don't care. I love Animal Crossings better than The Sims any day. That game is perverted anyway. E-mail me answers... Please.
|
Woah. That's (almost) all I can say. |
| Jake from Minnesota, USA says (1/Feb/2003): |
The think I like about Animal Crossing is the unlimited number of possiblities. Such as, say, finding a piece of furniture you'd been looking for for nine weeks in the dump. But it's more then just that. The countless number of different villegers you could have in your town is mind-boggeling. It's quite possible that you'll never see every person. (Duh.) But some things I would like to see in 2 (I hope, if they make it)
Useing your own patterns of furniture, WAY more NES games(!), Online play(i think it's coming out soon), a town hall, and putting in your birthday at the beggining.

I am ADDICTED to this game! |
| Pilar from Tegucigalpa,Honduras says (15/Sep/2003): |
Two words> Animal Crossing! I absolutely love this game. I watched my little cousins and my 23 year old cousin playing and I still didn't know what the fuss was all about. I decided to give this game a try and I haven't stopped playing it ever since. It's awesome, I love paying off my debts, planting trees, fishing, travelling to the island! This game is a must have and I am planning to buy it because I don't know who I'll survive without it. I recommend this game to anyone who is in the mood to play non-stop! I'm not really into games, but this game has changed everything for me!

AWESOME!! |
| SurferChick from Mercer Island, Washington, USA says (14/Nov/2003): |
I don't even own it but I love it!! My friend owns it, and I have my own house. It is sooooo great! I am a "The Sims" fan and I own al seven of the expansions. After Sims I loved Animal Crossing. Even better than the Sims. Everyone says the graphics suck, but I think they really add to the "cutsey" theme of the game. I love the animals and how you can make friends with them and how there is no actual ending. I love how the holidays all happen on "real" time and time doesn't just "fly" like in the Sims. I love everything abuot it! Thank yo Ninetendo for making such a great game!!

Animal Crossing is the gaming gateway! |
| Shadowsaiyan from Riverdale, New Jersey says (1/Dec/2002): |
Animal Crossing is a game like The Sims, except without the dirtyness. It is a good game for everyone to play, including adults and little kids like 5 year olds. It is an easier game than The Sims to play because you have the ability to do jobs for people to earn stuff and money. I especially enjoy the abilities to write your own tunes, design your own patterns, and play classic Nintendo games. Then every Saturday at 8:30, me and my family gather around to watch the adorable K.K. Slider jam on his guitar. This is an awesome game and I reccomend it for future gamers.
