Better than any other Video Game!!! |
| Tom Nook from Texas, USA says (21/Apr/2003): |
When I first saw those scary commercials on TV with people dressed up as cartoons, I can admit that I was scared. At rental stores, there are usually about 5 extra copies just sitting there, so I decided to rent one, and try it out. Then I took a look at the back of the game, and nearly screamed. ONE WHOLE MEMORY CARD DEVOTED TO THIS GAME!!! Now it must be really worth it, I thought. We bought another memory card at the store, and when we got home, I turned on the GC, and I played that night. I couldn't stop playing. So I bought my own copy. The game goes on forever, so you can have fun all year round. There are original NES games included, so it is about 15 games in one. Each game is different, so every town has a different layout, and you can travel to other people's games. You can customize your own house interior, so the theme may be exotic, spooky, Japanese style, and much more. Up to four people can live in the same village, and they all can interact, for example, you can sell items to other people, or if you talk to animals in the town, they will comment about other people. There are so many other great things that I loved about this game, but one main detail was that I had the most fun playing Animal Crossing than any other game!

Best game in, like, uh... ever!! |
| Roxanne from Chicago, Illinois, USA says (15/Apr/2003): |
I have had Animal Crossing since November 1st or 2nd. It is worth every single pennny. Other games have one goal and possibly even a time limit to reach it. This game has a beginning, but no middle or end and you can do whatever you please and set personal goals for yourself. This is what makes this game so different and sooo highly addictive. The graphics, I admit, are not that good, but they fit the somewhat naive(in a good way) style of the game. It is a sure-thing for sims fans and if you like this game and has not already, buy the Prima guide. It gives you hints and lists every single item.
The extensive list of items is also very amazing. I have not yet seen the same special item in Tom's store more than twice.I am currently trying to pay off my final house debt so I can get a statue of myself (seems kinda vain when you type it out loud...) I also think that they should be giving more information on AC2, some people cannot wait much longer to at least HEAR of the improvements.
FOR EVERYONE WHO IS SO PHYCHED OUT ABOUT TIME TRAVEL: Concider this: if you get a new watch that is set to the wrong time, that does not really change the time in the real world, and the watch DOES NOT KNOW that it is wrong. Same goes for gamecube. I mean, it can be Christmas in July and the game won't know, nor will it care. I myself have "traveled through time" and has never had a doubt it would work.

Animal Crossing!! |
| Russell Licciardello from Mission, Texas says (8/Apr/2003): |
Animal Crossing is a very cool game. At my school barely anyone has it. Even though at my school its not the FAD of the month it a real life game. 1 of my friends named Marcos M. plays the games nonstop and is giving me tons of info.. 1 major thing he told me was that there was actual time traveling. I didn't believe him but it actually worked.

Awesome game!! |
| Rob Kraebeck from Southold, New York, USA says (6/Apr/2003): |
This is the coolest game ever! There are so many components that go into it. I have gotten so far in it, you can keep remodeling your house for as long until you get to the second story. It shows good responsibility skills, like paying off your house. The graphics are really good although they could be a little better, like the fish are kinda cheap in the museum. on a scale of 1-10 i would give the graphics an 8. The sound is really good, because it sounds like real animals i would give that a 9. The fun factor is a definite 10! People move into your town, you get to catch bugs and fish, and collect fossils. My favorite part is deffinetly the fish catching part, i have caught 19 fish out of like 30. Paying off the house is always a challange. Many things go into this game, like fung shui. If you put all the things of one color to one side, and all the things of another to another side, the HRA will really give you points and cool stuff. I love the reincrnation of games like ice-climbers and mario land and donkey-kong for NES. My favorite is Excite Bike. YOu can get NES consuls. It is deffinetly worth the money, just looking at all the things you can do in the game.

Addictive!!!!!!! |
| Tommy Vercetti from New Jersey, USA says (29/Mar/2003): |
This game is summed up in one word. addictive! It is amazing. I have had the game since the day it came out, and have been playing it ever since. People say that the graphics aren't good, but it is by nintendo. The game is geared toward children. If you don't like it, don't play it. If you've ever played The Sims, you'll love this. It's ten times better. Don't be fooled by the way the game looks. It's not easy. There is a lot to do, and it take's a lot of patients. I remembe how I was showing the game book to my friend who has like every game in existance. He said it looked retarted, and I said "buy it." two days later, he had it and said it was the best. The game is so original, and that is why I like it.

awsome!!!!! |

Cleaning House Has Never Been This Much Fun! |
| JBabe from AL says (12/Mar/2003): |
This game is so addicting, that you find yourself canceling a night out on the town so you won't miss K.K. on Sat. night! I've heard a lot of complaints about graphics, but who needs them. The details are awesome! The amount of furniture, wallpaper, flooring and items you can get for your home is outstanding. What tops that, is being able to design your own clothes! I can see a new wave of "card trading" among kids. Memory card trading, that is. The most disapointing aspect of the game is not having much to do after 11:00 pm. Most of your fellow villagers are sleeping, which means "you" (game player) should probably be doing the same! This game is especially fun for husbands and wives. Your real home maybe falling to pieces, but you'll make improvements neccesary to out do your spouses town! I thought the charater voices and background music suited the game well. "Artistic" music would have been too much anyway. This game can go on forever, and is worth every cent. I haven't seen a better game for kids yet. It teaches kids how to write letters, help out neighbors, save money, stay tidy, improve community, make up music, and allows artistic creativity. The creators of this game should be commended for this awesome achievement. They have created a game that interests five year olds to fifty year olds. I'm sure Sim lovers alike are waiting for the next AC to come out onto the shelves soon. I am!

Well worth the time |
| Cody says (12/Mar/2003): |
When I first bought Animal Crossing I had high hope and wan not disapointed. I've owned the game for about 4 or 5 months now and still I have only a fraction of what's avalable. Some people may shy away from the whole Sim catigory because of how much time you have to put into it, and I can tell you now, It is well worth it to be able to walk into your own house, see the furniture you bought, sit in your coutch and watch your TV. Or even to be able to play the NES you were fortunate enough to win in a raffle. I could go on like this but I should get back to my town, and you should do the same!

The way it is |
| Drew from Texas, USA says (12/Mar/2003): |
Okay I have had the game "Animal Crossing" for about 3 or 4 weeks now. I started playing it and finding out all the other things you need to have more fun. So I bought them all. Now the graphics on Animal Crossing are really good, I like the way that they made the animals and the humans, also the different times of the year are very pretty, I love the winter and all the snow. Now on the animals and the humans I don't like that they all wear dresses, I know it might be weird but I think teh guys should have pants.
The sounds of the animals is pretty cool and I enjoy that you can change ti between 3 different settings. Its nice if you want a change of pace or you are just sick of one of the types.
The gameplay is pretty simple, after you get the hang of the main buttons you can do pretty much anything. Catching fish and the bugs is pretty easy to do. Findind a few things for the museum is harder but what is the fun if it is too easy. I played teh game without looking at teh help book and I foudn how to do things easily.
There are a few things that I don't like, for me I get bored fo the game pretty easily and I am trying to find more things to do that will keep my attention. I haven't really found anything more. Its a fun game to play for an hour of so but I get a bored after that. There are alot of things to do like, helping the animals, fishing, planting trees and flowers, catching bugs, going to the island and decorating your room(s). It has alot fo good things but some bads thigns too. I play alot of video games and this one is good in my book but it could be better than it is at this point.
The whole story to this name is unique and interesting, yuou go off on your own to a new place, get a house, try to pay it off and get everything you can with the best scores possible. It takes time and effert to get all teh money you need to pay off your house and it takes longer to get all teh different fish and bugs. Each season you get different things to catch so you have to always be on the lookout.
I say get the game, it is good and is fun to play. You have to get used to it and there are some boring parts but when you get past it you will have a very fun time!

Buy or regret it!!!! |
| A gamer from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, USA says (12/Mar/2003): |
I am fourteen and I first thought this was a kid's game. It's not! The sad thing is adults and teenagers are afraid to play it due to it's kiddie look. I first rented it on October 16, 2002. I finally got it on October 26! Best game ever. I'm yet to see a better one. I left my system on for over 10 hours to buy a memory card.

Animal Crossing!!! The best game ever!!! |
| Felix Jones from Houston ,Texas,USA says (9/Mar/2003): |
Many people wonder how game designers could come up with Animal Crossing. For many peple in this world (including me), this is the best game ever. Even though this is the best game for all ages it will be the best game to bring in money from it and getting a gamecube to play it. I want to thank all you game designers for making this game. Thank you!!!!!

good but not great |
| clifff from paulden az usa says (9/Mar/2003): |
animal crossing is not the best game because you cannot interact with alot of the items you can get of course you can get a nes and play it but you cant play the pool table and alot of other stuff I also dont like how the heads are way bigger than the body. I dont like how much the house costs to get an upgraded house but other than those things animal crossing is a good game but if you can control the sims instead of telling them what to do I'd play it all the time. so animal crossing has pro's and cons same with the sims but i still like the sims more and i would suggest you buy it instead of animal crossing. I'd consider my self an expert at games and experts know alot about games i have a game cube, ps2 ps1 gamboy, gamboy advance and n64 and i beat almost all my games except for the sims and animal crossing and thats because you can't beat them there are still a few games besides that i havn't beat but im very close

TONS O' FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
| Jordan C. from Alhambra, California says (9/Mar/2003): |
This has to be the best Gamecube game on the market! The thing that's so cool about it is there are absolutely no instructions to follow! Everyday is diffirent. Whether you're running errands for villagers, digging up fossils, fishing, cathing insects, or writing letters, the game always offers something diffirent. I can't wiat until they release Animal Crossing 2.....

I played for 11 and a half hours in one day!!! |
| Jeremy from Palm Desert, CA, US. says (8/Mar/2003): |
I LOVE THIS GAME! At first, when I saw it on a bookmark and wanted to buy it, I was broke and could not. But, I loved the game even more when I played it a friends' house, so I went from about $10 to $130 in just a few days, (I did not have a Gamecube yet either). But, now I own it and love it more than ever. I would highly reccomend buying this game.

| Zachry v. from U.S.A. Texas TX says (6/Mar/2003): |
This is the ultimate Game EVER!!!!!!At first all my friends(and enimies.) hated Animal Crossing.(they still do.) So I bought the game and fell in love with it!!!Mitzi the Cat is my fav of all characters I write to her she writes back, almost every time she gets down I talk to her and she instantly starts singing in joy.
Thhen I told 1 friend and sometimes we trade memory cards and visit each others town. I named my Town Town.(silly)Every day i'm soooooo eager to get back from school just so I can play.
I also have some great tips for pros and beginers.
Tip#1: July 4th is a great way to catch the Aripama(10,000 Bells)
Tip#2:Get abasement for your 2nd upgrade(then u have to pay 48,000 bells!)
Tip#3: When you can go to the island use it to get max money.
That is all I can think about hope my tips help!

| Saen from Californa,Sandiago says (4/Mar/2003): |
This game rocks! I realy like fishing, but bug huntin, my fave. only problem is that bugs sell for veary little. I do have fishing tips, the large char appers in march - may and can only be caught at the waterfall and sells for 10,000 bells. The stringfish is HUGE and sells for 15,000 and can only be caught in the uper part of towns river, not the ponds. It can only be caught when there is snow ON THE GRoUNd.Also the colencath is the same size and can only be caught in the ocean when it rains(it dosen't rain in winter) Odeos! sequel commin' soon

| A gamer from virginia usa says (3/Mar/2003): |
It is cool. but slightly confusing. am trying to find out still how to enlarge my house but i wuld suggest if you want to buy this game, rent it first becase you might have yor doubts. and you have to but up with tom nooks charges. i think if it was made less confusing, i would have liked it a lot more. but all in all it is okay.
