This game is SOO Addicting! | | Kristin from Why shold I say? says (3/Aug/2003): | I wouldnt Stop playing intel I paided off my loan! and NOW I won't Stop playing forever! I am SoOOOOOO addictied to AnImAl cRoSsInG! this game Is one of thte ONLY games I ever play! You you don't have this game!! Get it!!! I have 16 Games on Game Cube... and All I ever play is Animal Crossing!...... Its Such a great Idea... Reddecorating ... FUn sTUFF!! I Love Animal Crossing!!!!!!!! You don't have ANIMAL CROSSING!! GET IT... OR YOUR JUST PLAIN CRAZY!!!!!!!
| Animal Crossing rules! | | A gamer from tampa Florida United states says (6/Aug/2003): | I rented animal crossing one day and fell in love with it!! My friends and my brother tell me it is a little kiddy game, but WHAT DO THEY KNOW??? I must say the only thing wrong with animal crossing is: The animal's slang is a bit outdated and for goodness sake i want to play as a animal! Other than that Animal Crossing is the best game ever!!!!
| Capitalism Training Made Fun Fun Fun! | | Fuzzy Laurie from Mesa, Arizona says (9/Aug/2003): | Look, I'm 35 so I think it's ok if all I want to do is make more bells to buy more cool stuff for my pad, and whap animals I don't like over the head with my butterfly net. However, if you are getting this game for your munchkin, you may want to think about what sort of lessons you are teaching with this game.
A) You need more bells to be happy.
B) You can get bells by denuding the landscape of wildlife and selling them to the evil capitalist racoon, Nook (all of whose wares are "steals").
C) There's nothing like spending a day alone in your pad, rearranging your belongings.
D) Living in debt is a fact of life.
E) You should be nice to others because they may offer you some goodies.
Oh, it's all a heck of a lot of fun, but I'm not sure I would let my kids under the age of, say, 12, play with it, due to these underlying game truths. Then again, it's probably better than letting them play the other bloodfest games like Resident Evil or sex-doll games like Tomb Raider. And there are bunny balloons.
| The best game for Gamecube | | Alan from Fremont, Ca, U.S.A says (11/Aug/2003): | This game is the bomb baby! Fishing, bug catching, matching furniture, you never get tired of it! My older sister said that Harvest Moon was much better, what does she know?!?! Everyone should have this game! So that's why I give Animal Crossing a 10 out of 10! All dads out there, you've got to get this game for your kids!
| Most addicting game I have ever played! | | Ben from Albany NY USA says (11/Aug/2003): | Honestly, i'm not so into video games. My brother is and he purchased the game and played it non-stop. I hadn't played the game at that point and thought it was...well, childish. But, then I played the game and I absoulutly loved it. My brother is now making me pay to play it. The graphics and sound are excelent, but I love everything about the gameplay. I love fishing in the ocean until my pockets are filled with red snappers, I love doing errands for townspeople and getting items, I love rearanging my furniture in my house, I love catching bugs, some people would say everything gets repetitive but it doesnt. This is the best game i have played or ever will play. If someone asked me if they should buy it I would say yes in a second!
| This game is Boss. | | Chris Lastes from Pawcatuck ,CT ,USA says (23/Aug/2003): | I think this game is boss I've got like over 1,500,000 bells in my account. I have alot of cool animals in my town to make friends and to do business with. My house looks awesome too almost like a mansion. I think that this game is awesome
| The Ultimate Game | | D-Reviewer from Yonkers says (27/Aug/2003): | Animal Crossing is a thriller for all ages it is the game that plays while you are not, opening knew doors in video game worlds. It is pretty lame at the start you being poor and everything, but it picks up and once you get your house bigger you will be hooked for life. The graphics are awseome and the concept is great. This is a game to buy not to rent.
| This game Ownz | | Master-Mind says (7/Sep/2003): | If you like liveing then you'll love this game it runs on standed time. and when you haveta wait a day you rally need a to wait a day (sometimes really annoying). But if you do get this game Watch out for nook"thecrook" and his shop. Buy and sell turnips are like the stock market. From MAster-Mind U.s.a (collage park maryland)
| Addictive | | Akito Hayama from Japan says (20/Sep/2003): | I loved this game from the moment I played it. It's freat because there's a real time and seasons. The graphics are okay, but fun is a much bigger deal then graphics. It's replay value is incredible, and if you start out not liking it or are confused just push harder to try everything.:p SSo this game is definitely one of the best games creatted.
| It's a GREAT GAME, but there is a few mistakes. | | Hiedi Rae from Rhode Island, USA says (6/Dec/2003): | I think Animal Crossing is a great game. There's only a few things I would change. Even though paying MOST of my debts was fairly easy, my current debt is harder than I live! I have a base-ment, and up-stairs, ALL of the biggest you can get, but the debt is like in the 700,000's! As long as I visit all of the cheat web-sites, it's a little bit easier, but if there is an Animal Crossing 2, the debts should be easier, you should be able to do things like cook, do laundry, clean, and other things nessasery for life and the game will be perfect! Another mistake is that there are no theaters, malls, skating rinks, etc. AND you can't, like, have a party and like have company in your house! At least there's SOMEWHERE to shop, but they don't have things like magazines you can actually read! And you have to where this totally dork-style hat ALL THE TIME! The clothes you where should have seperate pants and shirts so you don't have to match like a granny all the time! The music is terrible and there's only one singer to choose from! NO CHOICE THERE! But the good parts of AC are that it's real life! It's not one of those "FIGHT" or "Race" games! BUT REAL LIFE! GREAT! AC is probably the best game I've ever played, but it could surely kick some of the other games I still play into the hole and it be the only game if some of it's mistakes were corrected. And hopefully AC2 will be a lot better!
| Cross Into The World Of Animal Crossing.... | | Arohk from Alberta, Canada says (11/Jan/2005): | First of all, I'd like to say that this is one of the greatest games they've ever come out with for the Nintendo Game Cube. It is smart, doesn't require alot of thinking, and it is an endless game.
Let me talk about the music first. The music could definatly use work. Although it is good, it could be just a little better. I love how you could make a personalized version of your town song, and also, another great little feature that was one of my personal favorites was Totakeke and how you could load what he sang to you into your home's music system. If anyone does not know, I would like to take the opertunity and tell you about songs that you can only get by requesting. 1. Only Me. 2. K.K. Love. I have forgotten the other one, but you can try Yesterday or Day After Tomorrow.
Next, lets talk about the controls. I think the controls were very simple, easy to learn, and very adjustable. I think no one had problems with the controls since it had little wrong with it. The only thing is, sometimes my finger would get sore from holding down the B button all the time. Thats the only suggestion I would make, make the character run a little faster.
Next, how about those graphics? They aren't too bad. Cartoonish yes, but isn't that the way the game was supposed to be? The only thing I was slightly disappointed with was that you couldn't rotate the camera while you were outside. Thats basically the only problem. You couldn't see around those annoying trees, therefore had to chop 'em down.
Lastly, I will provide some help for you cheaters out there. ^_~ You can get some secret items in the game by going to Nook and talking to him, then going to Other Things.. then going to Say Code. I will provide a list of the Nintendo-themed items. One note, you can only do it 3 times, then you have to wait another hour before entering another 3 codes.

Thats all for say code cheats. Now I will go on and tell you about hidden secrets in the game.
1. Money Tree: When you see a glowing spot on the ground, dig there and you will find some Bells (Money). The hole will still be shining, instead of covering it up, bury some money in the hole and a sprout will pop up. Wait for it to grow, and it will bear fruit (Money Bags) of the amount you first put in. There will be 3 of them, doubling what you origionally put in. If it does not grow, your money will be lost.
2. Golden Shovel: Make sure you have an extra shovel. When you see a glowing spot on the ground, dig there and you will find some Bells (Money). The hole will still be shining, instead of covering it up, bury the spare shovel and a golden sprout should appear. Wait a few days and it will grow into a golden tree. Shake the tree once it is fully grown and a golden shovel will fall out. There is only one per tree. It lets you dig up bells and various items when you dig in any place. It also lets you dig up extra NES games.
3. Golden Axe: Talk to the wishing well and get it to say everything is perfect for 2 full weeks. This can be acheived by pulling all the weeds, picking up all the trash, plant trees/flowers, and being active. This axe will never break. Talk to the well on the last day to get it from the well's spirit.
4. Golden Bug Net: Catch every type of bug.
5. Golden Fishing Rod: Catch every type of fish.
Well thats all, I hope this review was of some help to all of you. Have fun on Animal Crossing!

| Best Game Nintendo Ever Created!!! | | Amanda from Clarksville,Tennessee says (26/Mar/2005): | I think this is the best game ever! My brothers think it is soo stupid. I love it anyway, I don't care what they say. Every time I'm free of no work I play this game, from morning till night. Oh, does anybody know if you can get married on this game. Someone said you could, but I'm not so sure. Please contact me. If you do could you let me know where you had gotten my e-mail address. Safety reasons, my personal thought, LOL! Well, if you're thinking of buying an awesome game, but not sure which one to buy, get this one. For the people who have busy work schedules and can only play this game at night, if you have a problem with Nook's store not being open and it's 10:00 PM(your time) just save and quit. When it asks you if you're ready say other options or whatever it says and click on adjust clock. If you want Nook's store to be open make sure the time is set to after 9:00 AM. Well, remember to contact me even if you don't know about that marrying thing.
| I deff agree with Amy Okamuro | | A gamer from Columbus, Ohio United States says (9/Jun/2005): | I also think that Animal Crossing needs some stuff. Like being about to drive, shop more, work full time, AND MORE THAN ONE PERSON NEEDS TO BE ABLE TO PLAY AT THE SAME TIME! I get so bored talking to the *stupid* animals who live in my town. They don't know anything! And it makes me mad that I can't TALK to them. It's a controled conversation. I think that Animal Crossing should go online, (like Halo). And you could a city where other people could be in city at the same time as you. (But the specific town you live in should be private to your memory card, though the city is not, you can't have everyone who is playing all over the world being able to cut down and plant trees in your town!) But it would deffinetly be more fun if you could actually talk to other SMART people who are playing at the same time. It would make the game more interesting. I also think that you should be able to get hurt, and I don't mean just bee stings. I mean serious injury, and death. That would keep players interested and more cautious. Some players cheat a lot and don't really care about what happens. If injury and death were an option, the risks would be bigger, more consequntial, and more fun.
| very fun! | | Meg from USA says (3/Jul/2005): | I have to say that this game is very fun....and adicting!
if your thinking aboyt buying go ahead and do it...its a VERY fun game.

| please help me | | bob from illinois says (11/Jul/2005): | first id like to say that animal crossing is totally awsome. its just like a very old game i have on N64, Harvest Moon. but i have a couple questions, first can u get pets? and if so wat types and how? second, can u get a girlfriend? if so how? and also can u get married? and last can u have a kid? please e-mail me. that would be very much appreciated. i really need help.
thanx
p.s. - i also wish that u would be able to travel to another town without having to have another memory card. and i also wish u could go to that island place without having to have a gameboy connector. i also sorta wish that all the things u can buy actually worked. like i bout this satalite thing and i thought that it would go up in space. lol. but it didnt. i hope they make Animal Crossing 2 soon!!! please email me!
and now please excuse but i have to say like another 40 words to get this posted so i want to say this is again one of the best games ive come across. ok well goodbye. please o please email me answering my questions! thanx again!
| This game kicks F&%#@* @$$!!!!!!!!! | | Mark Sierra from Fostoria, Ohio, USA says (21/Jul/2005): | When i first played this game, i wuz at my friends house and ya know what......I GOT HOOKED ON IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! i mead, i just couldnt stop playing it. So like a year later i got it at gamestop. My brother said it would suck, but now he beggs me to let him play it. the graphics are okay, but the overall game makes up for it. i first started paying off my friend debt by getting fruits from other towns and selling them!! (How lame!) i then learned the cheat code for 30,000 bells. when i got my own memory card, i named it Markcity, and my mom keeps bugging me about it. what really rocks about this game is that its so simple. a little kid could play it and beat it in like 8 months. and it actually deserves an E rating. the content has nothing bad. no swear words, no sexual content and no violence. this game is perfect for little kids through aduts. and i think that people who hate corny kids games, (wich this game isn't) should give it a try. And if you don't like it, you can bite my < remove me > at $$ (sorry) because I like it.
Oh and if your wonering what the 30,000 bells cheat is, go to timmy, tommy or tom nook and select other things then SAY CODE and type in,
WB2&pARAcnOwnU
jMCK%hTk8JHyrT
but you can only do this 3 times so after you do it 3 times, go to your house save it quit it. sighn back on and do it 3 more times . Then repeat the whole process again and again and again as many times as you want.
I hope my information was helpfull if you have a problem with the code, e mail me at mjsierra3pkmn< remove me > at woh.rr.com

| Beware of Animal Crossing | | Dee from Jackson(MS), USA says (7/Sep/2005): | When I first heard of AC, i thought "not another simulation game" but this one is different. it has almost everything. after i read the ad for it in tips and tricks magazine, i thought to myself, i have to get this game. sadly, that was about 3 years ago and i just got the game in june. i'm glad i have it now.
first of all, you arrive in a town that you name yourself but you don't have a home or money to buy a home with. so you have to work for tom nook who gives you a home and lets you gradually pay it off. after you pay it off you can get it upgraded.
my favorite feature about this game is the real time. i like rushing to my gamecuve on holidays to try and see what mayor tortimer is gibing away. i recently celebrated labor day and got a model that commermorate tom nook's hard work.
you can also catch bugs, eat fruit, go fishing, collect fossils, decorate your home and the list goes on and on. i don't think animal crossing has too many flaws except for the fact that the only way you can have a bbq grill is if you keep it in your house. i also think it would be better if you could create your character like add facial features and why do you have to wear the same shoes all the time. but don't get me wrong, it's a GREAT game. i love it. i mean, i'm hooked. that's another problem. nintendo should stop making games that will make you want to play 24-7. SIKE!!!
i give this game a 10 and even xplay says it's a good game. and you know how tough those guys are on video games. well bye for now, i gotta go play animal crossing. can't wait for the DS version to come out!
