this game had me addicted from day one and let me say the combanation of sound and interactive expeirience makes it look like your in the power suit. The controls follow smoothly and they give total control. If you long for the old games have no fear the unlockable metroid game keeps the old days going. The graphics are sharp and thats what you should look for in a game. The game is in first person and focuses on exploration and puzzle solving. Although you defend yourself it is nothing like first person shooters were your objective is blasting wave after wave of mindless enemy drones.The life span will keep you addicted for months at a time so board up the house and kiss your family goodbye beacause this game will blow you away!!!!!

When i first heard that metroid was comin out i wasn't too excited. I wasn't a big metroid fan but after i played a demo at EB i was souped!!!!again i rounded up my penny's to buy this game.When samus aran first touched down on the planet tallon 4 i was flabberghasted! The graphics were so crisp and detailed that ittruly rivaled halo. When became submerged in water and shot up the charged blast my head was spinning her reflection appeared on the visor! All of the items that i found were cleverly hidden in plain site. The fact that it was first person didn't really affect me cuz he made some outstanding games in the past. I still didn't find anything bad on dis game.oh and the phazon suit has to be the sweetest thing i have ever seen!

Before Christmas came all I was hearing was how great this game was . all My friends were bragging about it and how great it was. And I thought Not likely....But then I got it for Christmas... And whoa!!! this game blew my mind the graphics were astonishing!! Every detail was there! All the stones the dust the heat the noise it was all there and perfect. Every detail was perfect! I am a very picky gamer if someone brags about a game for a long time . I make it my mission to pick it apart. With prime I found less than three mistakes that were easly ignored due to the overall awsomeness of the games power.
I hope Nintendo sticks with Retro studios for any metroid prime
look alikes. this is THE reason to buy a gamecube.

Metroid Prime was the greatest game ever. When I first played it I could have thought I was in the game. The way you are looking out of the visor instead of looking at the person you fell concluded into the gameplay. My best friend first rented the game. we played it. We loved everything about it. He rented it more and more. Then he bought it. I completely understoud the controls. They were easy to use some people think that for beginersit was hard to get anything or use the controls. well to all who think that if wasn't. I completely got it. I urge as many people as I can to buy this game.It was the only reason i bought a ame cube. But i have one question? what the heck is a chozo?

The enviroments are breathtaking. I can spend hours in just one enviroment, exploring, and playing. I am totally blown away at the attention to detail!! Sheets of water off of her visor when you come out of woter, or steam that builds up in the visor when the water is cold. Look up when its raining, and you will get rain drops on the visor =-)!!! Game play is smooth, no waiting for the next high definition level to load, and you never get into a situation where you have to do the same thing 100 times just to move on. But it is still challenging! This gome moves to NUMBER ONE in my collection! I have a PS2, and a Game Cube. I have over 30 games, and this is the best one I have.

I had heard about metroid prime and how amazing it was before it came out and i thought it was a load of hype. So after about 6 months i went an bought it and itttts amazzin.I love how you find out the story through your log book and the replay value of the game is amazin. My fav area is the ice area as the graphic are sweet. The powerups are amazin and the morph ball is the best bit of the game.The graphics are lush and it just plain fun. When you die you want to play again. At the start, its easy but after a while its so hard you thinkin wherre do i go know and have do think do i have a sitable powerup for that part.BEST GAME I HAVE EVER PLAYED. ADDICTIVE. GO AND BUY IT NOW

Xbox suks and gamecbe doesnt. ONe game that makes gamecube so great is metroid prime the graphics are amazing every time i turn it on the menu makes my eyes pop. IT has just the right music to get u going and so many things samus can do. i am so hooked, i cAN NOT STOP WHO EVER thinks about this game dont think again just go and get it. i love it and i know u will love it to. i got it 4 days before christmas and as of rightnow i am 42% done. amazing sound. if u have surround sound. ONe example of the good sound is if u shoot a door with the wrong beam it will reflect off and u can hear it hit the back wall from the back speakers! this game is out standing.

I got this game just last week. ITs soo cool.the grphics are great,the controls are also great. This is my first time ever really playing a metroid game, but it rocks! I use to think metroid was gay and stuff like that, just becasue i never played it and i was a mario fan(i still am) but this game gave me a whole new look at metroid. i want to play the whole serious. the reason i bought this game is because it looked tight and people said it was good. i bought it thinking ,man what this game sucks. but no!!!!!!!!! its so cool. i probaly never going to get bored of it. metroid is one of the best game seroius EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This game owns completely... At first I thought, "Hey, why the hell is Metroid a FPS(First Person Shooter)?? That's terrible... It's gonna suck!" Then I realized that if I didn't give it a chance, I wouldn't be a real fan, but that's besides the point. The bottom line is... THIS GAME ROCKS! The controls are easy, the storyline kicks ass, and all those neat items you can find... They preserved the story well, placed it in a good time, and used an unknown concept. Mutating creatures, several Bosses, the visors, grappling... Every little detail about this game is great. After 8 years, another Metroid game came forth, and it was by far the best one yet!

When I first saw that Metroid Prime was going to be a first person game, I was one of the few that I knew that was exited. The graphics on this game are absolutely amazing! I was blown away by all of the attention that they payed to the little things that make graphics, "graphics". The sound is what really got my attention. I ordered my game from Nitendo Power, so we used my friend's. I woke up thinking that he was watching a DVD. It was amazing! The controls are not as bad as everyone says they are. I love them! This is the game that never gets boring. I always play it, whenever I get a chance. I really hope that they make another one for gamecube!

Trying to be a Sega and Nintendo fan at the same time is hard, so I never really knew much about Samus and her adventures until I played Super Smash Bros, also a great game. I thought I could wait till christmas to get this game, but soon learned that this was probably the greatest game for the Gamecube yet. Needless to say, I didn't make it to Christmas.
Graphics: 10/10
Sound: 10/10
Controls: 9/10 (takes a little time, but soon becomes easy)
Replay Value: 10/10
Fun Factor: 11/10 (Only a diehard Gamecube hater would have the
guts to give this game a bad rating, and I
don't mean that in a good way)

Metriod Prime is one of my best games I have. I send hours and hours playing Prime, and I never get tired. I also liked Samus when she was in games like "Super Smash Bros. Melee" and her Game Boy Advace games such as "Metroid Fusion", but Prime beats them all. I was shocked to see the awsome graphics! WOW! The graphics on Samus, Tallon IV, her weapons, everything! And I couldn't believe that it was such a tiny disc. The adventure mode is sweet. Like shooting down those monsters, and Space Pirates, and also forming into a Morph Ball, and blow everything up! Overall, Metriod Prime is the greatest Samus game there is, and will always be!

Well if you think that just because gamecube has smaller disc it stinks. Well this game will prove you wrong. Many levels of new creatures and others stuff. It is a stragey and a fun game with challenges. The grapics rock this world. Feels like you are really there. And with all the upgrades you can get it seems as if the game will never end!!! And best of all you can goof around if you want. Go and start three games and see which one you beat first. one of the best parts is your friends can't cheat because there are no cheats....So go out and buy yourself this game and the system if you need it. It is one choice you won't regreat.

this game is so freaking cool altough its one of the hardest games i have ever played espacialy the boss thardus he is so hard to beat he takes out the targeting system and since he is made of rocks this makes him a formidable opponent. the graphics on this game are so good most websites rate the game's graphics a perfect ten and so do i . the music is not the best but certainly one of the best the weapons are the best i have ever played the strategy is almost the best one i ahve ever played next to zelda the ocarina of time. So if you dont have this game i am telling you go buy it or rent it or borrow it for a very long time.

Sweet Graphics. At 1st, i hated the FPS genre because you couldnt see where u were going all that well until MP. I love the HUD displays and the "bug goo". But i still hate the fact that FPS have a limited vision area. There's a little something for the players that like the #rd person POV. When Samus rolls into the morph ball, there is a 3rd person perspective. I also enjoyed the fact that in the beginning after the 1st level, Samus was stripped of all of her abilities. But then, you have to find them all again! THIS IS THE SWEETEST METROID GAME EVER. It's up there with Super Metroid and the new Metroid Fusion for the GBA!!

When I first played this game I was gobsmacked, it's totally perfect. The graphics are really amazing, the best i've seen in a long time. The music is so atmospheric and really sets the scene in the game and it lasts a long time too, it took me well over 30 hours to complete it. The enimies and bosses look fantastic especially the space pirates and the last two bosses. With so many different weapons, power ups and artifacts to find, as well as scanning all the data into your log book, you'll be playing this for a very long indeed. All I can say is, if you own a Gamecube and you havn't bought this game yet then SHAME ON YOU!!

Two main words MY GOsh that's what you think when you first start the game incredible story line. i used to hate metroid and then prime came . this is THE longest game in history and hardest but not in a bad way in a fun way. i usually beat a game in 1 week but this might be a year sitter. excellent graphics incredible sound i mean who could say this game is bad . the people at nintendo have out done themselves. they have been bragging and they were above average with this game. this game is nowhere to "kiddy" i haven't even got half way through it and i've had it for a month this game is the best game ever

The first time I ever played as Samus Aran was when my sister bought super smash bros, but I was immediately hooked. So when I heard METROID PRIME was coming out on nintendo gamecube, i HAD to have it. when i first turned it on the graphics hit me lik a hammer. It was almost movie clarity, And when i reached Tallon iiv, I looked up and watched the rain spatter on Samus's visor. the gameplay isn't that bad, but the morph-ball boss is a bit hard to beat. I've played other first person shooters like Goldeneye for N64, but NONE compare to this. This is the best god #< remove me > at %$#&, kick < remove me > at $$ game i have ever played

Originally a player of Metroid, though well after it was release. Beat Metroid, Matroid II for GB, and Super Metroid. Every since Super Metroid I have waited for a game like this. I have bought both this and Metriod Fusion for GBA. I play the GBA for the oriognal Samus stle of play. This game though brings you into the future, as you are samus. Graphics are best ever, supior ot any game on PS2, X-Box or PC! No kidding, give second soughts to those Ps2 fans who couldn't wait 11 months for gamcube... Recommend getting both fusion and this, then when you beat both, you get the play the classic Metoid.
