This game gets one word from me. Wow. I mean, WOW. When I first heard the idea of a fps for a Metroid game, I was appauled by the thought. I'm a very serious gamer, and I love first person shooters, but to be honest, I could never get hooked on the Metroid series. The thought of putting a game like that into my favorite genre pissed me off. I never read any reviews, checked any screen shots, or even listened when people talked about it. But then one day my brother came home with the game in his hands. I sat around my room as he played it, and the second I looked at the screen, I found some reason to get him out and I picked up the controller. If I put it down within three hours after that I couldn't tell you. Incredible. I'm very picky about my games. I'll take a final Fantasy or a Half-life mod any day, but I could never get into the feel of space exploration games. Didn't make sense to me. But just the first level alone blew my mind. I have yet to find a flaw in the game-play, and am STILL in awe over the graphics quality. I haven't quite beaten it yet, and I think I want to try to drag it out a little, just so I can keep playing. I love the scanning system, it saves me a ton of time. I remember if I ever got stuck in a game, it would require me running to my computer and jumping onto an online strat. guide to find help. But with the scan ability, I can simply scan something and it tells me how to blow it away. Much fun. The ONLY thing I might want to change about the game is the amount of damage enemies do. I found it kind of odd that I took more damage from stepping into a pile of phazon for 3 seconds than by getting smacked across the room by that annoying omega pirate. Hopefully hard-mode will FURTHER impress me with this game that is by FAR among the best games I've ever played. The fact that ANY game could take a skeptic of that games SERIES and then instantly hook him in is very impressive. This game puts all the other companies to shame, and hopefully Nintendo will continue to dish out games that could be compared to this.

I love the metroid series (even through I just have fusion and prime). Metroid fusion is really cool but prime...WOW! I traded all of my games for prime at a local store. i have been glued to the tv for the last couple days on it. (i just got it a couple days ago). i just got the wave beam (CoOl!) the graphics to this are simply amazing and i am a fan of first person shooters. lots of little gadgets. the bosses are very hard though...and a lot of minni bosses. totaly worth the 50 some dollars i payed for it.

The enviroments are breathtaking. I can spend hours in just one enviroment, exploring, and playing. I am totally blown away at the attention to detail!! Sheets of water off of her visor when you come out of woter, or steam that builds up in the visor when the water is cold. Look up when its raining, and you will get rain drops on the visor =-)!!! Game play is smooth, no waiting for the next high definition level to load, and you never get into a situation where you have to do the same thing 100 times just to move on. But it is still challenging! This gome moves to NUMBER ONE in my collection! I have a PS2, and a Game Cube. I have over 30 games, and this is the best one I have.

This game in an instant success in all its enviromental play and in its screen view. To the guy from Alabama...you...are...a great jackass. You are insane and shouldn't be allowed to SEE a gamecube if you would rate a game like that, you freak. It is the revoultionary game of Gamecube and will be talked about for a long time.

Metroid Prime is the best game I have ever played and I have played alot of games. The magnatude of this game is unbelievable and the graphics kick! The best part of this game is the story line and how it fits in so well with the other Metroid games.

This game is so good, there are no words that give it the full credit it deserves! The graphics are THE BEST I have ever seen, and the challenge level is surprisingly difficult(even on the normal setting!) The controls work fairly well(there are a few changes that would improve it.) 10 Stars is only a THIRD of what I would give (for all you math geniuses, that would total 30 stars), but 10 is still excellent.

Before Christmas came all I was hearing was how great this game was . all My friends were bragging about it and how great it was. And I thought Not likely....But then I got it for Christmas... And whoa!!! this game blew my mind the graphics were astonishing!! Every detail was there! All the stones the dust the heat the noise it was all there and perfect. Every detail was perfect! I am a very picky gamer if someone brags about a game for a long time . I make it my mission to pick it apart. With prime I found less than three mistakes that were easly ignored due to the overall awsomeness of the games power. I hope Nintendo sticks with Retro studios for any metroid prime
look alikes. this is THE reason to buy a gamecube.

When i first saw the ad my dad and me thought it was a movie, but it was better, it was the best idea nintendo has had since the......Nintendo Entertianment System! The graphics and technology realistics are mind boggling. All the boss fights are fun especially the fight with Meta Ridley. Im almost done with the game i just gotta fight the Metroid Prime and im done. Samus has never been so kewl! The beams are so awesome especially the plasma beam. Fision metroids are hard to beat, I just cant get em. If anyone can help me out that would be great. Metroid Prime happens 2 years after Metroid 1 and a little before Metroid 2. The only way that u can truly get the game and enjoy it to its fullest is to play all the other ones. I have all the Metroids and im proud of it! Closing note: If i had to pick anything to be real in Metroid id have to pick Samus herself, cause she's a hotty! BYE IT! u know u want to.

A winner is a winner, period! Metroid Prime is one for certain. Which also means that some will want to break the mold and boohoo out of principle. It's a shame to criticize anything so well done and so entertaining as this game. On the other hand, let's not forget the 10% rule...that is the 10% of the people who WILL NEVER BE PLEASED no matter what! Live and let live, and Metroid Prime will for a long time to come!

This game is quite simply both stunning to look at and stunning to play. It has a huge world to explore and many secret areas to find. The game follows the originals with the giant bosses each with their own particular weak spot. This game is a must have for any gamecube owner and if you don't have a gamecube this should be your reason to get one.

Smaus has all ways delivered a very enjoyable and amazing gaming experence in 2D, but now she's back, she' 3D and better than ever. It's not just a wild shoot 'em up - or a puplexing puzzeler - or a dragon slaughtering RPG. It is a hybrid of all of them. A hybrid that has made gaming history. A hybrid that will not and cannot be toped. The graphics alone make the game worth buying!

Samus has returned at last!! Her new game is the best game on the Cube; you need to get it!! The graphics are in full 3D - you will need to allocate atleast 1/2 hour just to stop and stare. The gameplay is simply magnificent, and you feel the urge to fight the rock-hard bosses one more time. Just the need to get all the upgrades will drive you on and on. The sound doesn't make you wet your pants, but in big battles there will be loud, boomy music while exploring next to the river the music will be nice and soft. No need for a hi-fi in this game!! It really will just blow you away - you must, must get this. There is something for everyone; this game is not a fist-person shooter - your not constantly balsting enemies - it is not a platformer - it isn't all about precise jumps to avoid toxic water. Its a combination of everything!! The game will last you, more than a week to complete; three endings, a hard mode and just the urge to go back a morph ball a little longer. This game you will not be selling!! There is one problem - I need Metroid Prime 2 to come out soon so I can have more fun with Samus!!

Metroid Prime... Where to start... I waited for Metroid Prime to be released for over a year, and when it came out... my reaction was unexplainable. The first day I played it, was literally a day. I didn't put it down for even food (I got my parents to do that for me).
I have never really been much of a Metroid fan, but when I saw Metroid Prime, my opinions changed without hesitation.
In a short summary, Metroid Prime is obviously the best game on the Nintendo Gamecube so far- and I LOVE IT!

This is my third reveiw thus far and i still have more to say. the charge combos are cool i can burn the enimies do serious damage and paralyze enimies with out them knowing what hit them. xbox and play staion could never measure up to what this game has. Sharp graphics,easy comfortable controls,and the changing music to indicate that your in a peacful forest or battling for survival in the twisted hostile enviorment of the space pirates.And anyone who says its a first person shooter is mistaken for you dont pull out hunderds of guns and blast away at hordes of enemies. the fun factor is speacil i like it were i let the metriods out and watch them feed off the enemy (very difficult task to do) and the pirates run around screaming in pain. And in conclusion anyone who doesent like this game better prepare to start a whole new life as fertilizer that sound good dont worry ill make them an offer they cant refuse. And such a good game (sorry did i say good I MEAN ABSOLUTLY BRILLIANT and thats putting it mildly) should have more games like it and possibly a sequel

When i got my hands on this game i was wondering what it would be like. But when i played it, i coundn't stop. Metroid Prime is great from the start, the graphics are fantastic and the sound effects are even better. The game will last you ages to complete which is good because some games you finish in a week and tends to get boring. Because this was the first metroid game i have played i didn't know to expect, some of the monsters are so real looking it makes you jump. There was only one dislike about the game, and this was the backtracting throughout the game, yeh it was good in zelda, but there somtimes only one way and takes it a while. In the end this game gets ten out of ten, and will keep you busy for ages. If you don't have this game, get it. If you have a different game machine, sell it and buy a cube so you can play this great game.

When i frist heard that another Metroid game was coming out, i just brought it without even renting it becuase i knew it would be the best just like all the other Metroid games. This game is so cool, i liked the Music, Graphics and all the rest. What I liked the most is all the Weaponary you could pick from andhow they made it that when it is raining you see droplets on your visor. Does anyone know how many Missle Expansions and Energy tanks there are that you can collect, and if you e-mail me the locations of them. Right now i have 155 Missles, 6 power bombs and 12 Energy Tanks. Thanks Alot.

The game its self makes you want to play.With great music and graphic,and so much story to it ,its one of the greatest games ever for any system.I was very glad to get,considering what good things I heard.If you do not have a gamecube or even this game,get one now.

Well, having played and beaten every other Metroid game, I was horrified at the movement away from the old platformer, but hey... what can you expect? Then... Ooh no.... a 3D Shooter??? Played sooooo many I'm pretty sick of them....
Bought it anyway just cause it had the word "Metroid" on the cover...
Well, Holy Good Gravy boys and girls! This is the stuff! Everything is here! The Suits, The weapons, the morphing ball, the grapple beam, the enemies, the look, the feel.... It's a Metroid game through and through. AND theres a heap of new goodies too!
Even if you're not a metroid fan, even if you're sick of 3d shooters, Even if you're 83 and your idea of a video game is "one of them new fangled space invaders machines"... Get it! You won't be disappointed!
