I like Samus's suits because they have cool colors and features. This game is a real challenge, and keeps you interested. My favorite enimies are the plasma troopers, magmoors, flaagra, and the flying pirates. The graphics for this game look very real. I feel like I am actually in the game myself when I play it. My favorite level so far is the Phendranna Drifts because there's a lot of snow, and a lot of cool creatures called sheegoth. I recommend this game to anyone that likes adventure and realistic battle.

Super Mario 3 held my attention for weeks. Super Metroid for almost a month... Goldeneye I still play even though I've had it for 4 years... Metroid Prime is THAT good a game, even though its only single player. It took me a few hours to get into it... the first level isn't particularly enjoyable, although it is a pretty good training ground for the main game. Once you reach the main area- you probably won't leave your couch until you pass out. The game has the most beautifully rendered graphics this side of Toy Story, incredibly atmospheric sound, and gameplay that will make you feel like it actually hurts every time you get hit. If you haven't bought this game, buy it... if you don't have a gamecube, buy one of those too. Its like final fantasy in its addiction level, but you don't have to be a nerd to get into it. One more thing- to the person who asked earlier if you had to fight the big metallic dragon... that is meta ridley (thing ridley with extra guns if you played the first NES metroid game) and yes, its the second to last boss. (I'm on the final boss right now.. by far the most difficult character to kill in any game I've EVER played.)Welcome back, Nintendo.

I'd say this is the nuber one game for the Gamecube thus far. After a long 8-year wait, Samus has finally returned to kick more Space Pirate patootie. And the wait was worth it, you get all the abilities and more! The graphics, gameplay, bosses, and levels are top-notch. If you have a Gamecube you have this game no argument.

Well if you think that just because gamecube has smaller disc it stinks. Well this game will prove you wrong. Many levels of new creatures and others stuff. It is a stragey and a fun game with challenges. The grapics rock this world. Feels like you are really there. And with all the upgrades you can get it seems as if the game will never end!!! And best of all you can goof around if you want. Go and start three games and see which one you beat first. one of the best parts is your friends can't cheat because there are no cheats....So go out and buy yourself this game and the system if you need it. It is one choice you won't regreat.

I'm a big fan of hiring for a day then buying if I'm taken with a Game as I have been caught paying good money for crap.
My wife listened to my noises of wanting to check out Samus and Hired MP last friday and we already have a late fine. Addiction? More like Obsession, it's sitting in my bag as I write this and I still feel my trigger finger itching to blast whatever I can find, Damn those wasps are a pain in the Butt (but FUN!!). Level upon level to explore, Save points that are apart but not too far away from the action ensure you stay on your toes.
I'm still investigating the planet and I find myself torn between which level I attack first. Last time I ever had that option? Can't Remember. At last a game that lets you roam at will rather than stick to mission based storyline, til now only on PC was this really an option. It all began with "Do you want to play this game in 60hz?" the answer (of course) was yes, the result is a burgening love affair.
Bravo Nintendo.

Well as soon as I read a review in a popular gaming magazine I thought oh man boring! A first person shooter! And oh boy has the word first person shooter has been worn out. Then suddenly I bought it for alot of money! But it was worth it. The graphics are awsome and get more and more better.
Who on earth would not get this game? If you havent get it! Kapiche!

This game is by far the best game ever created! It has perfect graphics, excellent sound/music, and you actually feel like your in the game itself! This game is everything I've always wanted in a game, it has excellent monsters with cool powers such as Meta Ridley with it's Fire Beam and it has high-tech stuff like the ability to collect and use upgrades such as the Super Missle, witch, by the way, is totally cool! The Super Missile is my favourite combo weapon and the Charged Plasma Beam is my second favourite weapon, Power Charge Shot being my favourite. But the other weapons like the Super Morph Ball Bomb are excellent to! This game is perfect, 10/10 in my book, and I'm very picky with games and very hard to impress, witch makes this game simply awesome! If you have a GameCube and don't have this game, then get it! You won't be dissapointed. I promise.

Now I will admit, the title of this review, was not my doing. This was said by a friend of mine. Until now, I was just another fan of the Metroid series. My love was for the Legend of Zelda series, until I played prime... I have not been able to play any other game since I started. The boss battles are everything I asked for and more!!!
When I brought this game, I was thinking that this was just another first person shooter.(I bought it at the urging of a friend) Then I started playing....correction, not just playing, I became immersed in the world of Talon 4. This game is so in depth, from the wave beam to the spider ball, there have been no shortcuts. Sometimes even a simple looking puzzle will leave me hanging for an answer.(Everyone remember the piller in the Phazon Mines? rotate...rotate...climb..rotate...etc...)
I can't say that I like just one thing about this game, the entire game was amazing. Unlike some video games,in this one your weapons are kept in perspective. For example, the Wavebuster is powerful, but it costs a lot of missles to use. I would have to agree with a lot of people out there, this is the best game ever.

Metroid Prime is the best first person shooter game i have ever played. The sound is amazing. What I really like is the weapons, visors, and the graphics.The ice beam is awsome. I love getting revenge on all the enimies in magmoor caverns. The thermal visor is the best visor out of all of them. I like seeing new doors and mislle expansions.The morph ball is cool and handy, but it is gard to get the correct view with it. The sound and graphics put in the action. When I play I feel like i am in the suit blasting the metroids. The boss battles are tough, but still not insanly hard.I like the origanallity and creativity of the monsters, while keeping the old school favorites like metroids and ridley. I am not even half way through this awsome game and I already love it. Nintendo has made yet another classic game. Metroid Prime also has great replay value. You can go back through and try to get all energy tanks or missle expansions. Then you can go back through trying to scan everything. Another cool feature is the connectivity bonuses. If you beat either new metroid game, you can get cool bonuses like playing the first metroid game. While playing this game time flies and you don't realize that your just pushing buttons.

this is a pretty fun game but it has its drow backs it gets harder way herder as you pass the first lvl and some of the bosses are very hard but some of them are easy as pie to kill like the firts boss you encounter for a noobie its sorda hard but as you might get killed the first time the next time you will beat him its a pretty good game some of the things you fight are very hard though and look for cheats some but there are no good cheats for this game

I barely beat the game but it rules! The details are incredible, like in the Tallon Overworld, you can see the raindrops on your vison. The first-person view takes you into the action of the game. Heck, this game is even BETTER than Halo. Even though I didn't quite beat it yet, this deserves the game of the year award. Those who disrespect this fine work of pure beautiful art shall kiss my butt! The weapons and the connection feature make this game ever more thrilling than I describe. May the Metroid and Nintendo legacy live on in our past, present, and future!

untill prime i didnt know or care much for metroid games, but after i played it that all changed. my jaw literally hit the floor when i started playing, the graphics are absolutly incredible. throughout the whole game there is not one glitch, slowdown, or chopped framerate to be seen. also, the visor effects are amazing, the condensation and raindrops hitting the visor look incredible. the best part of all this are the ultra-real environments. they are unbeleivebly atmospheric and seamless, nothing looks artificial, it all looks completely real. another reason why the graphics are so nice are the details. partical effects like rain and snow look great, and the way samus` weapons seem to bend reality is incredible. the control is spot-on too. in most fps, jumping is a pain, but in prime, platform jumping is done effortlessly. teh adventure style controls worked amazingly well, it made blasting all the creatures of tallon 4 and the space pirates easier. the best part of all this though is the exploration formula. during the course of the game the are certine areas that are unreachable, but you know that a powerup that you will get will allow you to access them. this masterful formula are what all metroid games are like, and why they are so good. the extras are great too, image galleries, three endings and gba connection bonuses add to an already amazing game. i can honestly say that prime has surpassed zelda: ocarina of time as my favorite game. in truth, it doesnt matter what kind of gamer you are, there is no reason for you not to play prime, you owe it to yourself to play it.

I've had to admit. This is one class Shoot-Em-Up game that I have ever played. It's so good it's even the top rated game at the moment with a rating of about 9.6! I've managed to complete Metriod Prime within 2 Weeks and now I'm ready to complete the Hard Mode skill which to mean has no difference. If they are making a Metriod Prime 2, I hope it'll have different weapons, enemies and much much more. I can't wait until the future comes, but for now I'll continue my adventure with Metroid Prime for Nintendo Gamecube

This game is definately the best game out for Gamecube right now. The only game that has a chance of being better than it would be Metroid Prime 2. The transition from 2d side-scroller to 3d FPS was flawless, and the control scheme is easy to learn and use, if not perfect. One thing that amazes me is the detail of every aspect of the game. It must have taken years to come up with the many different species of animal and plant life. Being able to scan enemies for their weaknesses makes the game infinately easier and more fun, because you no longer have to waste time, energy, and missles to find a particular enemy's weak spot.
The sound is amazing. the music goes perfectly for every environment, and I often catch myself humming along with the music, instead of paying attention to where I am going. The sound effects are just as good.
Being able to read the chozo lore and Pirate data adds even more depth to the story, as you can learn more about the various experiments the space pirates have conducted on the metroids and themselves, and how the chozo runs came to be, then became ruins.
Overall, this game is aperfect addition to the series, and feezing metroids in first person view brings back good memories of the 8-bit days.

Simply the greatest of the Metroid series to date! The creatures are of complete fantasy, and its puzzles really take a while to accomplish! That is what a good Sci-Fi should be like. Plus the array of weapons and each having their own use is very creative, because you don't use just one to squash everything that moves and to solve puzzles! Graphics I admit the fire can use some work, but it is like you're in the suit instead of Samus,sound is truly amazing because it lets you know there is danger in the room,it lets you know that it is whispering "i am a beautiful, majestic rainforest full of beautiful plants and peaceful animals" or yelling "I am a dangerous lava filled death trap". But most of all I like the freedom to move around the world with no nessasary objectives except survive. That is what seperates this game from Halo and Halo deciphles. The difficulty stays at an excitingly difficult level that suits the challenges well and the overall game is something no one can beat. So stalk up on food that will last you until you die or get tired of it (which won't happen any time soon), drink plenty of caffine, nail and bar off all windows, doors, nooks and crannys, and buckle your seat belt because you are in for a ride that will blow you away trillions of times faster then the speed of sound!!

If you haven't heard of Metriod Prime yet, then i'm thinking you wasted three or four years of your life in your room with the TV off. Samus has finally got a GameCube game. Samus stars in two games for the Nentenido GameCube. Forgive me if I mess up any words, for I have a bad cough right now. The games are Metriod Prime, and the new release, Metriod Prime 2: Echos.
Metriod Prime must be the best game in the whole world. The action and the animation are so real, it's like walking through the area right now. And the first person view allows me to think I'm actually in the suit for a few seconds, then I remember it's just a make believe world. The weapons and pickups you get along the way are just as asome as the game itself. Prime 2 also has it's good sides. It looks like the same thing as Prime 1, but Prime 2 has some differences that are worth checking. Man I ain't telling you what's in there, I wouldn't get my review posted. Go get the game and find out.
Prime 1 also has the figuring out certain stuff, like Metriod Fusion or Super Metriod, so it will be real proably to locate all those expansions, but their worth it. Same thing in Prime 2. Expansions help! Don't pass them by.
All in all, Prime 1, and Prime 2, are the best GameCube games this year. Now get out of that empty hole you call a room and buy it like I did for Peat Sakes.

When I played this game I got attached to it I played the game soo long that that I vomited twice! (hahahahaha... really I did.) I couldn't stop myself from playing this game i always kept the visor off so it felt like she wasn't wearing her helmet(except the energy gauge). Then I was soo excited when i got the game cube link for the GBA and when i got the fusion suit I felt like she was faster in that suit lol it was cool too. When I beated normal I was determined to beat hard mode and I did. (whew...) Hard mode is sooo hard I lost a couple of times because of the damage increase. (><) When I fought the... I forgot the name I think it was the "Phazon Omega" I had trouble with his minions because I was panicking of my energy guage decreasing so fast!!! Then when i beated the hard mode I had 89% through the whole game I'm trying to get 100% because I knew there was something special at the end, like a different ending. So... all I got was that I unlocked gallery no.3 and I was questioning myself "how do I unlock gallery no.2" but I wasn't sure if my bro already did it...lol
well that's about all i did thanks for listening to m review it's not much because im poor in English...

My friend is all like X box is better X box is the best system ever... and he wouldnt even play the game cube well then his brother got one.. so me and his brother both had metroid prime..because its the best game ever... after seeing the good graphics he said "O FINE ill play metroid" he played for 2 hours at my house then he took my memory card home so he could play his brothers..he doesnt play his x box any more.. his x box probably over heated again!
