pretty damn good!

Brain from NY ..USA says (10/Apr/2003):
as a Mortal fan from the beggining, this game captures that great feel of the 2D in a 3D format..get it and give it a chance it will grow on you. The only thing is there should be more characters(like Mortal Trilogy) and why the hell should you have to unlock people like Raiden and Kitana?? if your gonna have to unlock something make it some sick ass character we've never seen! ..Mortal Trilogy still is the best though!!! plenty to choose from in that!

Darryll Jade E. Arias from Philippines says (8/Apr/2003):
I was shocked when i watch the intro when the 2 monkeys killed my 2nd favorite character which is Liu KAng.Please make somethhing that will make Liu Kang live again because im a supreme mortal kombat fan and i collect some cd's'tapes'and even the movie of mortal kombat too. im a young man that likes something cool like something thats not real.So please bring back animalities, brutalities, and babalities thats very important for me i dont care if you removed some non sense thing like friendship because mortal kombat is a game more on battle. So please bring all the things that i wrote hear, please.

Mortal Kombat is awesome!!!!!!20321

Lord blackhart from Glascow, VA, US says (31/Mar/2003):
I bought Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance about 7 months ago and I'm still playing it! It's a great game. The graphics are awesome, the three fighting style thing was a great idea, and (sorry all you Lu kang fans) Lu kang is dead!!! Ha hahahah Now evil will surely provail. Yeah there is a down side though... Not enough fatalities! More death, more death, but the fighting styles, characters, and the krypt are pretty cool. I'm satisfied!

This Game is Heavy!20115

BJ (TIPU) from London, England says (29/Mar/2003):
This is the best fighting game i have ever played in my life. Even better than all the other Motral Kombats. But the only complaint i have from MK:DA is that it should have most deffinately included Lui Kang. Because he is one of my favourite character. The area that the people fight in should have also been expanded. like you can get kicked from 1 stage to another.

Leon Hains from Bronx,(N.Y)U.S.A says (27/Mar/2003):
I have to tell every one that this game is the worst mortal combat game I've ever seen in my entire existance. The first reason why I hate this dumbass game so much is becuase of Quan Chi he doesn't do the tele stomp DAME!!! The second reason is becuase you only get to start off with only six players and not to mention the stupid fatalitys there so stupid weres all the carnage man. This game isn't like the previous mortal combats.......

Best beat em up out now19926

A gamer says (26/Mar/2003):
This game is easily the best beat em up out. Its definatly worth buying. It has exelent graphics and great gameplay with a good combination with realistic fighting(if you turn off the blood and dont use wepons) and humourusly stupid and gory fatalities and amounts of blood. It has alot of nice features like peoples faces getting bruised and bloody after a certain amount of damage is taken. This is the first good Mortal Kombat game and I think there will probably be a second becoase other games like teken have now nowhere to go since there is nothing more they can really add to the game. The only flaw with deadly alliance is the endings on arcade mode whic can be dissapointing after fighting hard to beat molloch. Some of the fatalities are somwhat less ridiculess on this game than its predessesors making them slightly boring. The game will both last along time becouse of the amount of work you need to do before finishing the krypt and this does not get boring. Its also a good game to have in your collection as something to play with freinds. If you a huge fan of english litariture you may be somewhat dissapointed with the spelling of words stating with C(Kombat, Krypt).

Give it a chance, you wont be sorry.19935

Hart from Bremerton, WA USA says (26/Mar/2003):
This was the first Mortal Kombat that I decided to purchase since Mortal Kombat 2 hit the SNES. At first, I was a little let down. Only one fatality? No level fatalities? What in the hell? The style felt strange and foreing.

I soon grew acustomed to it, and since then have even become quiet fond of it. Every character has 3 different fighting styles, with different moves and combo's. There are 3 different types of games you can play, and they even brought back the mini games like test your might (and now test your sight, you should see the blind character do this, its hilarious!)

The Krypt is the icing on the cake. Ive spend hours unlocking characters, levels, art, videos, and old mortal kombat stuff. There are over 600 things to unlock!

The graphics, levels, and storline are all great. Replay value seems high, though Ive only had the game for about 4 months now.

The only thing that this game needs is more fatalities. Thats a Mortal Kombat trademark.

VERY GOOD GAME19768

Eddie Georges from Australia says (24/Mar/2003):
Awesome game. Has great game play and strong story line. Also quite unique in that ,where as in most beat em up type games the objest is to win best of three matches and then simply finish them. This one allows you to explore each fighters individual style.Very challenging but once you have conquered all you are rewarded well!!!
Also please send me fatalities for mokap and Blaze !!!!

the netherealm is not enough19426

The Incredible Hulk from Lakeland, FL, USA says (17/Mar/2003):
Well, overall it's an awesome game, graphics exellent, plenty of characters, awesome sound, great controls, fun factor through the roof, but for how long? I mean, the krypt is an awesome feature, but by the time you unlock everything in the krypt you've already done everything there is to do in the game. Once you finish with the krypt there really isn't anything else to keep you interested. The arcade part is short and easy and the endings are short and unexplanatory. There really should be something to keep gamers wanting to play MK:DA over and over again. thank you.

kewl new characters, bad game play!19378

Chain Masta' from California, USA says (16/Mar/2003):
This is a good game and all, with great characters, and awesome versus mode, and arcade. But the conquest, or konquest as it is spelt in the game(very corny) lacks fun. The first 20 or so parts are boring training, and at the time, i cant get past leason 11(i think) where i need to do some combo then two more attacks in the air... i hit the guy five times in the air after the combo, and it still wont let me pass. As i said before i like the new characters, (Kenshi reminds me of "Dare Devil" and Sub-Zero got a sister/girl friend (i dont know). So with the versus mode, arcade, and new characters, i got ta give it an 8 out of 10!

Where's the backround fatalities!!??????19242

A gamer from Denver, USA says (14/Mar/2003):
I love so many aspects of this game, but it is missing one of the best parts about playing MK. The FU< remove me > at #in'PIT! Every other installment had some sort of backround fatality! What were they thinking? Half of the levels look like they could have possible "pits", yet I have not found one ounce of proof backing it. This lack of bakround fatalities makes a great game become so-so. I hope I'm wrong, and if you know of any pits, LET SOMEONE KNOW!! Also, what are the fatalities for Blaze & Mokap email me the moves Please.

Not MK Anymore19093

disapointed from Australia says (11/Mar/2003):
Ok. Bought this game on the release date as I've done with all previous MK games. While it is a great fighting game, it just isn't a MK game anymore (my opinion) The three fighting style thing is a great idea but the basic MK moves: Uppercut, roundhouse, flips, flykicks, etc don't exist. While it can be seen that alot of effort went into some characters (Scorp, Sub, Frost, Kenshi, etc), it can also be seen that less went into others (Hso Hao, Drahmin, etc) makes me sick to even look at those characters. Enough has been said of the sad (and lack of) fatalities. Sadly MK is just becoming yet another fighting game with a little more blood than the rest. And of course has great graphics and sound, all new games do and that doesnt make it a good game, very disapointed compared to earilier MK's. While I'm at it I'll bitch about the boss(s) MK1,2,3 had a unique FINALL boss that wasn't playable what is going on?? Yes Quan-Chi and Shang-Tsung are evil characters but are they bosses? NO. There should be someone unique as boss... slack.

this game rocks19000

james from belfast, says (10/Mar/2003):
this game is so kool. it may not have as much as the other MK games but so wot. its still mortal kombat. the greatest fighting games of all time. any1 who says that MK will die off because of not having lots of finishing moves r wrong. any true mortal kombat fan will tell you that the reason MK was so good was because of its style, not its fatalities. yes they were excellent additions but r they the only reason most people liked MK. no they r not. this mortal kombat is just as good as any other MK game in the series. the combos are kool and a lot of them r hard to time perfectly but hey so wot nothins perfect. besides there are a lot of other combos that are easier 2 pull off. master them first then try the harder ones. the graphics r sweet. the hairflow is the smoothest ive seen yet. interactive arenas were a good addition as well. killin liu kang was not the best idea ever but evrythin changes. the only bad thing i can say is that there r not enough characters. bring back the ninjas. all of them.
LONG LIVE MORTAL KOMBAT

No toasty? less fatalities?19005

A gamer from UK says (10/Mar/2003):
Okay MK DA was a great game no dispute, but common there needs to be a bit more to it, I was hoping to see the most goriest game ever, and still keeping it old tradition of pit fatalities, as well as scorpions toasty and sub-zero's head rip, very disappointing though I will give credit to story and game play, but common this game need to have more flipping gore. cyrax could have use self distruct, i know this is a brand new game but fan who have had every MK down the line want to see a trade mark finisher, hey why not have kano stab someone in the back and cut there throat from ear to ear? the next mortal kombat better bring all the best idea forward and use the lay out of deadly alliance with some thing old to make something great.

SIMPLICITY was the key and mk forgot it!!!18920

SHANEY liverpool from liverpool ENGLAND says (9/Mar/2003):
What happened eh?mk:da has got potential but only to get other companies copying of it or for a second ps2 bloodfest,i think that there could have been more to do like a team battle mode or even a tag would have been nice, i wanted to see how sick the fatalities were going to be and a few namely quan chi's neck pull were quite crap and not even in the slightest bit gory i think for the next mk the makers should have a write in to get the fatalities tailor made by us to suit the ppl that count!?!? US not them US anyway lets not moan lets look at the god points eh and there is some good points LOTS the music is your old mortal kombat usual stuff but thank god its still there and not some techno tune the graphics are simply somthing else they are the best i especially like the background on the portal (my fav level) the blood is as gory as ever with chunks of flesh optional where you can change the blood level from off low medium or max (MAX IS THE $#< remove me > at !) the gamplay incorporates a new system were you can change from three stances one being a weapon (which you can't drop but hey) the special moves are simple but effective (not enough in my book but hey im eccentric about special moves innit) the combinations are good and plentiful but there is no hidden combos which i hoped there would be and there is an in game move list which helps my thick freinds so theyre not always saying hey how do you do this move or how do u do this move there is a konquest mode where you have to train your self and learn moves step by step it isnt like other mk's i wanted to play it when i knew it was coming out i just wanted to see the down and punch uppercut to see if it was still as brutal and alas there was none(bugger)there is a krypt where you have to pick out coffins to see whats inside opened with money you earn through the game even though 95% of the stuff in side is a load of anus you might if you have a year or two get through them all 676 in all and thats where the other characters are unlocked to so happy hunting. Lastly (ok ok im going to moan again) i thought that there should have been more fatalities 2 at least i mean these computers are state of the ar6t ps2 xbox gamecube i mean come on midway lets sort it out is two tooo much to ask for eh??? and there is NO pit level i repeat NO pit level so sorry all you ppl that just button bash you wont be doing any death moves any time soon and thats it in my opinion if you want a game thats entertaining and blody brutal then mkda is on the list but for the beat em up enthusiast i think the game will burn out soon cos there just isnt enough to keep you going forever whereas i still play mk1 cos there is just somthing excellent about it and that somthing is magic and can not be replicated mk da has forgotten how to make this simple magic come to life on your video games console ill give it 7 out of ten(god loves a tryer) oh and finnally please midway add some more characters please i want to show off a little bit more cheers mate oh and come ereeeeeee FINISH HIM Beyatch!!!!

There's even a discussion?18994

A gamer from Boston, MA, USA says (9/Mar/2003):
MKDA is far and away the best installment of the series. The others don't even come close. the addition of fighting styles gives the game more depth than I know what to do with. The special moves are interesting and well balanced. So what if there is only one fatality. I thought the whole point of video games was interaction. If I wanted to wetch bloody gore, I'd rent Dead Alive. People who buy the MK series because of fatalities are missinfg the point. It's fun to beat the brap out of stuff.

kick ass!!!!!!18780

Anders "Surial" Damien from Fylke,Sweden says (7/Mar/2003):
This is a very good game cause of the things that Joel from Florida said. Not too much unnatural firepower and lots of cool combos. The game has a good selection off different characters, and its not too easy or too hard. The fighting styles in the game are awesome and I can seriously sw different teqniques that I myself practise………..MKDA Is the best yet…

One of the best Games i have played.18797

Luis Angel Quirk from USA says (7/Mar/2003):
The first time i played mortal combact i did not like it because the graphics sucked and all. Then i got my playsation 2 and gave it a chance. And i have to tell you that this game is one of my favorites. The graphics are great, the characters soo cool and one of the things that i think was the coolest was the krypt because that gives information about the game and you need to unlock the characters and because it takes a long time to guess which box has the character, it is very exiting when you do and very dissapointing when you choose an empty one. Even though i think this game is one of the best there is only one thing i do not like, it is the big moster that you need to kill before you get to the last 2 characters. I really hope they make another game because i will not think twice if i want to buy it or not.

best mortal kombat game yet18681

joel from florida, USA says (5/Mar/2003):
This is the best mortal kmobat game yet. I'm glad they finally brought it back to the basics. I like how people are limited on special moves because now its more of a real fight. you dont spent the entire time shooting unrealistic junk out of your body. you have to actually punch and kick in this game and i think that's a lot more fun. Besides, if you are a martial artist or you are intrested in martial arts this game gets so deep into the martial arts it can blow your mind. Shaolin fist, seven star praying mantis, bagua, kali escreema, aikido, double broadsword, twin hook swords, etc. the styles and weapons in thes game are insane. Pratically every technique in this game is actually practiced in each style. I think this game was for martial artists, so if you dont know anything about martial arts your probably going to not like to much because it's nothing like it use to be. It's more realistic.
