Back then, my all time favorite was Mortal Kombat and I always played Sonya. Well, now my husband is the big video gamer and I always sit back and watch. When I saw an ad for MKDA, I decided to buy it for him, and now I play it more than he does! The characters are wild, and the graphics are top notch, and the game play is like watching the Matrix with it's 3D take. My favorite part about this game is that the characters have 3 different unique fighting styles of they're own. One thing I REALLY hate is Reptile's new look. He looks like a Jurassic Kermit the frog. Otherwise, this game Kicks *&^%

The thing thats kool 'bout it is, it actually had a music video and it rox. The arcade mode is pretty fun it gives you a good challenge,especialy against Moloch, but you know what I beat him with Sonya! Another thing about this game being so good it has a funny video called "Cooking With Scorpion"(Krypt #UI 270 platinum). But there is only 2 bad things about this game, 1.Quan Chi's FATALITY I mean god it's a freakin boner neck. 2.Konquest mode with Cyrax is impossible on mission #9. Otherwise the game Conquers the world.

Sub zeros fatality is apeice of crap, what happened to the old shatter body? And i cant believe they dont have rain. and the pits with spikes was the main isentiol of MK. but whatpisses me off themost is they take away Lue Kaing and you cane fukin play him! And then they put him in KANO'S body... what bull $#< remove me > at !.. although it is a fun game, they take away some of my favorite characters and put in these crappy ones. i rate MK deadly alliance a 5 out of ten, mk4 a 10 out of 10.
| pretty kool i think, but what do i know. | | A gamer from los angeles, ca says (19/Jan/2003): | MK:DA is a cool game i just bought it a cople of days ago, and i have to say i'm kinda impressed. kenshi is an awesom character with jedi like ability which is cool, sub zero's dragon technique kicks ass with a capitol kick. The multiple style select helps you keep your enemies off balance, and it's cool not having everyone fight the same, i also like how you cut or punch someone and they keep bleeding and at the end of the round their all bruised and battered, and I just couldn't say more about subzero's spine rip, way to bring back the classic's.

It is more difficult at times than the past Mortal Kombat games, which makes me love it more. Only thing I have a problem with is the things that are in the coffins in the crypt. I just believe that the endings for the characters would be able to be better if they didnt' put them in. But it doesnt bother me any I LOVE THE GAME

Then they go and take out to many of the characters,kill em off that is.Playing the Konquest is ok,but it gets boring doing the same stuff over and over.The Krypt just sucks.There is what over 600 koffins and mostly nothing but crap in.You play for the big Koins and to get what a stupid picture or art,,"COME ON".Then all we get is 1 Fatality per character,That just stinks and some are really stupid.The games ok,but they better get back to the way it was or they will eventually kill MK as the best fighting game.
| mk3 was better | | forrest holland from escondido says (18/Jan/2003): | i have been an mk attick since i was 3 i thought it was one of the coolest games ever made it had good game play fluid mooves and the best fatalaties ever and the always cool new charectors but mk:da just didnt have that cool edge like the rest like what is up with the super gay 1 fatality thing and fatalities are really lame with a capitol L and the kions thing i hate that kinda crap having to do all of these gay tings for charectors and the game play is crappy like how the combos arent fluid its like a third rate tekken if virtua fighter had some blood it would be the coolest game out there but there isnt so im stuck playing this game with no charectors but the starting six or whatever there are. :<

USA says (17/Jan/2003): | Minus the fact that what little secrets are in the game suck and theres only one fatality per character (and quan chis fatality is really really stupid) this game delivers. I actually enjoyed the fact that Liu Kang died, and hope the same fate goes to Johnny Cage, because they both deserve to perish, Cage for being stuck up and Kang for being a whiny cheap hitting annoying pansy.
The moves are great, the combos are great, the costumes are great, the arenas are hella great. Konquest mode is a blessing, and the Krypt is pretty cool for those that dont mind playing arcade over and over to scrounge up koins for it.
All in all, its a wonderful step in the right direction for MK. The sequel to this game should be astounding.
| All that and an almost full bag of chips. | | Death's Hand from Jacksonville, USA says (17/Jan/2003): | I picked up my copy of MK:DA over a month ago, and have hardly put it down since. The overall improvement of graphics in clothing and hair movement(among other things on certain characters) is revolutionary for the entire fighting genre. The gameplay itself is flawless in every way, excellent combos and style branching are just icing on the cake. The Konquest mode offers a great break for those tired of arcade mode, and offers enough challenge to keep you interested for a long time. The Krypt adds to the excitement by offering just a touch of mystery to this title. I could go on for hours raving on the things I enjoyed, and there is only one thing I can honestly say I hated about the game. Quan Chi's fatality, I mean the guy is supposed to be a powerfull sorceror, you think the designers could have come up with something a little more gorey. Regardless the game gets a perfect 10 from me, and I recommend everyone go out and at least rent it, if not actually buy it.

It has rpg ways and a hand to hand combat mode. The best part is rather that just havin every thing now you can beat konquest gain money and unlock charecters and maps! if your gonna stop doing every thing to play a game try this one and you won't be doing anything much ever the konquest is very long and there are over 600 coffins to unlock! But that doesn't meen its boring it just gets better and better. Oh and dont worry if you wanted to play a better graphic mk4 there is always arcade and versus mode.

thats the only complaints I have. All in all the game play is great and the fun factor rocks. Next I would like to say the new caracters are great Dramin is a little wierd though,but Kenshi and Frost are cool. Finally the graphics are really nice and the music is good too, but leaving out some key characters such as Lui kang and Smoke really downs all my freinds and they turn in to a bunch of MK critics. P.S maybe Ed Boon will read this and on the next Mortal Kombat he will implement more killing type moves, but that will probally be in 3-5 years away.

I give this game an eight because, its not perfect, and nothing is close to perfect, so the eight will do just fine! The people say that, becsause there is no Lui Kang, there is no MK... Well screw you! Be open minded. Yeah it sucks, but the characters are awesome. The Arcade mode is somewhat the same, but you can get Kurrency with a profile. Graphics are amazing and I am, like the title, almost addicted but not quite. The game is amazingly fun, and just a fantastic fantasy story behind it!

The game has came lot better than the earlier ones. Characters are now really nice looking and arenas are 3D. Konquest is a really long and good part of the game. Arcade mode is same like those earliers, and i think that it could be little better. Versus mode has a same problem. Figthing styles and weapons are good thing. Now there are lots of moves, not only those special moves (fireballs and else). Fatalities are longer and better...the're "beautiful"I don't like the game music very much. Thanks,and i am sorry about my English, it's not my native language. This writing program was not good, so i couldn't fix my mistakes.

Of course now I have beaten it on all skill levels, I have unlocked all of the koffins, and I have also beaten the game on all skill levels of konquest mode, but I dont want to brag =)! But anyways I will Let you in on my secrets of which koffins contain those much awaited characters!
Unlock In Krypt: CN, IV, KI, LL, MW, SA, TI, UR, XG and I will give you the koffins that contain the secret characters and instructions on how to use them! PN: BLAZE to unlock BLAZE, you must beat Konquest Mode and then when you go to any of the fight selections (arcade, practice, etc.) you must go to raiden and hold Down + selction button and you be able to play as BLAZE.
YP: MOKAP to unlock MOKAP, you must beat Konquest Mode and then when you go to any of the fight selections (arcade, practice, etc.) you must go to CYRAX and hold Down + selction button and you be able to play as MOKAP. If you rookies out there need some more help with finding levels, costumes, and strategies, E-mail me at Ubersoldat< remove me > at earthlink.net and I will give you a response as fast as I can =)! Or another word, as Christopher Lambert (Lord Rayden) would agree, is... Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant! This game with the exception of one fatality per character, is, how should I put it, a "Flawless Victory" for Ed Boon. I found absolutely no other problems with this game. Keep it up, Ed, I've got high expectations for your next game, if you can do so well on this game. So, realistic, yet at the same time, so un-naturally magical. So many good fighters, so many challenges, especially in Konquest Mode. I don't think the other reviewers have had quite such an experience as I have. No one at all could enjoy this game as much as I can. with such a difficult sub-boss, Moloch, this game can really give you something to look forward to... killing the evil thing. He takes me so long to kill it's not even funny, now that's what I call a challenge. and to think he isn't even the Final Kombat. Next to Moloch, Goro is a complete ant. Anyhow, I really enjoy the game and I would recommend that any hardcore, blood-thirsty fan, such as myself, should take the game into consideration. I give it a whopping 10 ********** stars! Ed, you won me over again!
| Mortal Kombat will keep you at work for months... | | AJ ( Anthony ) from Brodheadsville, Pennsylvania says (26/Dec/2002): | I just received Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance for Game Cube and i feel that it is the best game I've seen in quite some time. Of course, I'm only 14, and I only have 8 games for the system... so I'm sure opinions will conflict with my own. I am very glad that they cut down on the fatalities and presesnted us with a 3D arena. I accent on the first part of my last sentence only because it brings back the feeling of the original MK's and when there is a fatality, it is now worthwhile. Do you all remember when there were like 20 different fatalities/ brutalities/ animalities/ babalities/ etc. for every person. It was a hastle to try and accomplish all of them. Also, I am ecstatic that they have brought THE KRYPT to the table, as it keeps the "non-walkthrough" players of the game at work for weeks on end. 676 coffins and only 9 secret players to find will keep anyone at work. This is not just a game where you beat it and watch the ending now... but it has evolved into a story... a teaching perhaps, of the real arts of karate and the more gruesome, graphic Mortal Kombat.
In other words my cats and dawgs... this game is hotter than the grill (sizzle...) I really liked it and i hope my opinion makes some people go and buy it because its really worth your time. If you like long, hard, sexy, fun... games, then I also advise Super Monkey Ball 1 and 2, Pikmin, and a healthy serving of Star Fox Adventures, as well as Mario Sunshine. Enjoy my friends. The graphics are excellent and the combo system is mostly flawless. And the real fighting styles was a excellent touch. The only thing I don't like is the way to unlock secret characters. It should have stayed the old fashioned way of ending a game withe a certain character to unlock another. Also if they plan on making another they should bring back more classic characters like Kabal, Smoke, Jade, etc.

Arcade mode is fun and challenging with mini games that earn you extra Koins. Konquest is chalenging and frustrating. Pressing all the button for the combo but missing one of them and the combo won't count. But it teaches you the moves of your fighter and gets you lot of koins. The krypt depends on luck if you get something boring you don't want, an empty koffin, some Koins, or really cool stuff. All around this game is incredibly fun, bloody,and frustrating but I still give it a 10.

This game is a vast improvment over its counterparts and deserves alittle praise. I mean who can deny the great boucing action that goes on with specific charcters( Guys you know what im talking about :) All in all I give this game two tunbs up, keep it up Midway!
