After waiting for this game to come out for so long i was expecting it to be a classic. When i first played it i was a little dissappointed. Why is there only three players on a team and Why is the rink so small. I was expecting myself to get into the game but it never happened. Reading some of the reviews on this site you would think it would be a great game. The fact that it is so unrealistic is a major down point to this game. Also the music tracks that are on it are repeatative and annoying. On the other hand the graphics in it are pretty amazing. There is a miny game section where you can play your friend or the computer in a game of one on one or breaking windows of a building with the puck. After paying 65 euros on this i was not happy at all and I would recommend anyone to buy the EA version of NHL 2003 before this.

I LOVE THIS GAME! I have NHL Hitz 2002 also, and both of them are AWESOME! Nothing is more satisfying than seeing a guy get checked through the boards by someone with YOUR name on the jersey! I didn't give this game a 10 because I think they should have different entrances for the players, even though it's way cooler than 2002! I don't like the mini games that much though. But I never use them anyway. Also, I don't really like the objectives in Franchise Mode. I'd like to be able to concentrate more on a normal (if you can call it that) hockey game. But overall, this is a GREAT sequal to one of my old favorite video games! Keep it up Midway!!!

I love this game. I am not madly into playstation2 but its one of the only games I do play on my console. The game has a wide variety of options and Mini games, you can even design your own team of a variety of different charaters, varying from NHL stars to aliens, snowmen, pirates and demons. This is not like other games you pay £40 for and get nothing from, the designers of this put true effort in.
The mini games are a cool addition as you can play so many differnt games with the same disc.
I have 30 playstation 2 games, this one is by far the best not only because it the truly brilliant sport of Ice Hockey is invovled!!

This game is unreal, I love playing it especially 2 on 2 with my buds,,i'm waiting for 2004 to come out and hoping it has a few changes to it, that would make the game unbeatable. I rather not have the goalies dive on their stomachs all the time cause thats the most popular goal in the game is when the goaltender dives, it would make it alot better if he stayed up and the games would be closer. Also the computer is too easy on all-star mode they should be harder, and last of all for next year they should make it come out with an online pack so you can play worldwide against ppl. Overall Great game tho.

i hate this game because the story line is just like nhl hitz 2002 .the only diffrence is the glass breaking and the cheap mini games.but what got me ticked was the animal heads ,that just flat out disgraces the sport of hockey.i admit the faces are more detailed, but still u so called hockey fans that support this game are just plain weird.this game in other word is not fit to be my dogs chew toy.so please cut out the reapeating of games already made . but also *GO STARS*. so find another use for 50 bucks please dont buy this game

Not realistic by any means, but it is allot of fun to play. Love hitting the opponents through the glass!!!! If you want realistic hockey, and expect to be coaching a realistic (or as close as a game can get) team through a season you will be disappointed. In my opinion you will never be fully satisfied, hockey is to complex to be a video game, so have fun with it and go smash someone through the glas!!!!!!
If you want realism, buy a pair of skates, and hit the pond (if you live in the right climate)....oh yeah,...DEVILS 2003.

NHL Hitz is a great game. It isn't realistic, but i'm not sure it was supposed to be. The comic like graphics make it awesome, and the fights are great (especially goalie fights). The announcing gets a little annoying because it never changes, but that's ok. As a suggestion they should have fist fights as a mini game. All in all this is a great game and worth the money

I would say NHL hitz 2003 is a good game to buy because it isnt the odournary life style of hockey like it is 3 on 3 and the hitz are crazy not like the real game trust me !! The goals isnt really realistic but thats alright. This game is deffintly worth your money !! I think in the mini games you should have fighting so that is my revue for this game.

This game is pretty sweet, when i first starting playing it i enjoyed it more, but now that ive played it alot its to easy to score and i hate games that end at like 10-2 its just not fun anymore, but playing with 4 guys- 2 on each team is the best, me and my budds have some great tourny's! so overall good game.

dudes there is no substitute for this game, i have never seen a hockey game but wen i played nhl hitz 2002 on the demo disk i had to own it the hitz are sweet the season mode is sweet beating up your friends is the sweetest :D n yea NHL HITZ 2003 destroys any other hockey type gaming device

people say its crap because it unrealistic... so how man games are??? the new franchiese mode is awesome and more detail on creating a team. also it has some cool minigamez and a pretty kool fighting mode so its 3 in one game. itz better to buy than rent cuz ull wanna play it for awile
