This is one of the most addicting games I have ever played. You can cut their arms off, and they keep comming at you. You can cut their legs off and the keep comming at you. You cut their head off, and the keep comming at you. What other game gets is this incredibly gory. When you walk back through different parts of the level that you have already been too, there are dead bodies everywhere, bullet holes in the walls, blood splattered in every nook and cranny. The only down sides are that all of the guns DO seem to be pretty much the same, and I think that it was way too easy, but still very enjoyable. After you kill some of them, their spinal chords and their heads will keep on attacking you. It's GREAT! The graphics are some of the best ones that I have seen, the gameplay is easy (just like halo. It is not very original. She's half vampire, half human. (blade rip off) She is fighting pre WWII Nazis. (Wolfenstein rip off) And they also could have used more different types of bad guys.

Vampires, red-heads, and gore...oh my!!! This game oozes style and suave. Who would've thought a scandaleously clad leather babe could've attracted so much attention. My hat goes off to this game cuase it's great on more level than one. The main character Rayne (a product that's half human, hlaf vamp) is sleek, stylish, and sexy whos abilities are only outmatched by her need to feed. This girl can perform dizzying tricks such as: free-hand cartwheels, back flips, cork-screws in mid-air, and sky-rocketing jumps in one bound. The thing i like most about this game is her abilities, her slow-motion technigue isn't a power up it's a gift that she uses well to dodge enemy bullets. The controls to control her special moves are well incorperated into the gameplay, making it so the action never stops. I ain't got much to say about this game, or maybe not enough but this is what I have. This game is spectacular...and takes alot out of a person explaining it!

Now I'm one of those kind of players that enjoys seeing violence in video games, solely for the fact that it is a fictonal world. And Bloodrayne definately delivers. The flow of the story, along with some of the best graphics to come out on any system for any game, is bar none leaps and bounds above any other third person game out right now (GTA 3:Vice City excluded). Guns, a hot heroine, and really cool weapons (her blades) made this game almost the perfect package. My one downside to this game would be getting used to the controls. Initially its a bit awkward, but once you get used to the game play, it's a sweet game. Now, i havent even finished the game yet, but im looking forward to attempting to, and like some of the reviews here, to each his own, but this is probably in the top three for best games to come out this year, and i thoroughly enjoyed everything about this game. It Rocks

I, personally was rather disappointed in Blood Rayne. Although some elements were good, such as gunning down nazis, but they were not good enough to save the game statistically. I would much rather play blood omen. Sure, graphics are not nearly as good, but the gameplay isn't nearsly as frustrating, and the storyline makes some sense. When I started playing BloodRayne I thought to my self, "killing nazis, a vampieric Lara Croft, guns, swords, vionlence, what more do I need?" and then I wound up in Louisiana or something, killing bugs and zombies. Now, it is a sad, sad day when guns and blades and more guns, and vionlence, and even more guns, Louisiana swamp zombies, a funny blue light, and amounts of blood that would make mortal combat characters run in terror can't make a game good. I strongly recommend you play something else. DO NOT make the mistake I did and rent it.

the game is fun and good not even anoing i almost finished it
im in middle act 3, u get the chanse to ride in a robot kill zombies nazies, the atacks ammm the blade atack might get boring but as u get lvl's.. u actualy do u get new atacks like the one to cut ppl's arms off , or what about coming behind some one and killing them with 1 hit? the lvl's may be anoying by going tho the same places, i didnt realy use the guns :)
blade work is more fun.
ohh i writen too much any way BLOOD RaYNE 2 IS COMING OUT!!!!!!!! THEY WILL FIX ALL THE STUFF THAT U DIDNT LIKE IT WILL OWN ALL VEMPIRE GAMES!

Although the game can be difficult at times it is well worth the effort. First of all the game play is fast paced, furiouse, and fun. Control and configurations are great. You can choose a between first and third person, one similiar to Halo, the other similiar to the main configuration in 007 which I didn't like. Secondly everything in the game is well done. The graphics are excellent, comparable to the quality of DOA 3 graphics. The storyline, plot, theme, levels, and movies are excellent and well integrated, this is the closest thing to an interactive fictional story in a video game that I have seen. You will find yourself in gothic european style castles, churches, eeri land scapes, underground WWI era gas labs in Nazi Germany, creepy caverns, towers, etc. just to mention a few of the best settings. What more can I say.

This game is intense, not as powerfull as Devil May Cry but definately entertaining. The graphics were as good as they need to be, when youre flipping through a group of 5 nazi stastruppen soldiers as your blades spit up various body parts and streams of blood, you stop caring that the clock tower 500ft away is a bit out of focus or whatever the critics said about it. I would reccomend renting it first because it can be beaten fairly quickly, but in its presentation and gameplay id give it a 10. Take note to the small details as well, its more of a "bad ass" kind of game if there is such a thing. She makes interesting comments here and there and occasionally blurts out some heafty nay saying to the enemies if they piss her off. Alrighty thats all.

I've been wanting to get this game for awhile, and I finally did a week ago or so. I COULD NOT STOP PLAYING! I've played a fair amount of games, and I definitely think this is the starting of a new class of game. Like one of the reviews above said, 'badass'. It's sexy, fast, suave, sleek, and most of all, bloody. The only negative things about it are that it does not have a multiplayer feature, and sometimes the Bosses take forever to beat. However, I definitely recommend this game to anyone who's lookin' for a little zombie/nazi killing fun with a twist. Oh, and did I mention gore? Yes lots of gore. Very realistic. This game deserves every bit of praise it's recieved.
P.S.- I hope it has a sequel.

I loved the game, The game play was fantastic and the leve arew different, although the basic Idea remains the same, kill, drink, kill!
The life span of the game is ok, It took me a while to complete and in my opinion it's quite an orional story line which goes well with the story line.
I thought it was tremendous fun but I like gory games!
The graphics were pretty impressive though not as good as they could have been, but if I could find any flaws in the ame it would be Agent Raynes Breasts, did they even research into that! breasts do not do that! they look like two rounded jellys attached to her chest! dispite that I really enjoyed the game!!

For once, respectability will come to women gamers, because there are a pair of boobs you can relate to that aren't mamoth-like. Captivating and unique fighting style coupled with easy to understand objetives makes this game a relaxing bloodshed of fun and mortality.
Lacking an intense plotline, the characters seem to muddle through nonchallantly as they compete for food with rival Nazi aliens. Despite the awkward "aura vision," an all around fun game especially if you're going to stare at your computer screen for a few ours... you might as well look at something sexy.
Sexy game. Any guesses on what my next halloween costume is going to be?

wow, i have to say that this game is incredible.. think of resident evil meets tenchu & wolfenstein, the graphics are superb, shows death scenes very graphically which tends to the realism in this game. if your looking for a challenging addicive game i suggest you purchase blood rayne. this type of gaming genre will end childish games that the game cube manufactures such as the new zelda, pikmin and super mario sunshine.. i mean these are all good games but come on lets get to the reality of things this game is very well done and will leave a scar in game cube gaming history as one of the most bloodiest action adventure genre.

I bought this game a few weeks ago and havent stopped playing it i have completed it three times already. This is just one of those games that comes along at the rigt time and knocks every one for six with its amazing gameplay and graphics. You play as rayne a half vampire (which sounded a lot like blade) who has all there strengths and only one weakness which is that she has to feed on blood, which is so cool in the game as she can feed and use the body as a shield at the same time. This is a must have game for everyone.

i thought bloodrayne was awesome from the graphics all the way to the gameplay and storyline. I especially liked the touch of the matrix in it, which added to the fun. I thought it was awesome when i sliced them with her blades and visceral pieces and blood come spewin from the nazi's while they are screamin in agony. One downside to the game is that it was easy to beat it took me one day to beat it under 2 hours. I can not wait for the sequel, maybe they will have a multiplayer option to it. Also i wonder if they will have a different selection in clothes and more bosses.

Blood Rayne is a kick ass full throttle action title demanding mature players. The amount of times f*ck is said in thas game is countless. The amount of gore and dismemberment is incredable. And all adds up to one outstanding game, but not without flaws. Terrible acting and somewhat tedious gameplay plauge this game.it only spices up the over populated 3rd preson action genre a little, but with objective seeking aura vision and limitless bullet time makes it a must play, although i have yet to play Blood Omen.

Bloodrayne has its ups and downs. The best part of the game is definately the gore. It is fun hacking up your enemies,but there should have been more blood rage moves. On the negative side, all the guns seemed to have the same effect. There were not many types of enemies to mutilate and the storyline is strange, but also fun. The graphics could have been better. Overall the game is not much of a challenge and becomes boring as you progress.

you may have read the critic above, and i understand what he says. this game takes patients. your not going to beat this game in one Attempt. you will have to try differant things. Something that tombraider didnt offer, a challange. great game, and great results. to the critic, how about getting past the first part of the game before cutting it down. btw sorry for spelling and grammer, kinda in the middle of playing =P

i though DMC and DMC2 were the best games till i played this, bloodrayne is one of the craziest games for PS2 and i cant f*cking wait for the second one. The guns, the swords, the boobs, and the slaughter all adds up to a 10 in my book. PLUS, their making a moive out of it, its like they thought players like me couldn't get enough, which we can't.

The game has its bad and good sides. Good are those blood rage atacks and slowmotion view, but it could be more blood rage atacks and normal atacks. Anemies are too weak but everything else is good, good, good. There is one thing i want to tell too.If there is going to be Blood Rayne 2 make the fights more like those in blood omen 2.

I got this game about half a year ago. This game is one of the best I own for GameCube. It easily destroyed the wall that people had thinking that GameCube had all games for children. For people who still think this, play this game. Enjoy it. Nothings better than big jugs, slicing Nazis, and blood lust.
