I think this game cheats a little... |

I have been playing for a couple of months off and on, and My golfer has been making pretty good money and so my attributes are primed up. My main concern with this game is that my putting is up at a 90 and I STILL LIP MOST PUTTS... I know that they should be falling but they don't. This is most aggravating to me, much like the "real" game of golf. If I squeeze my controller any harder the next time I lip a putt I might hurt myself. HEHE. Anyway, the fact that this game gets under my skin, in that sense, is actually pretty awesome. It makes the game seem more realistic and therefore it is much more fun.

I have played this guy on the Tiger Challenge so many times. It seems like a million. He keeps getting the shots close to the hole and always drops his putts. I am playing my ass off and cannot seem to beat him. Anyone have any suggestions how I can screw up his game?

Well it finally happened---someone made the perfect golf game and I'm glad it's EA Sports. I've been playing golf games since Mario Golf on the old NES (which is still a great game for it's time) and have since bought and played just about every offering on the market from Power Golf (Turbografx 16) through all the EA PGA Golf series (Genesis), PGA Golf (SNES), Wailea Country Club (3DO and Saturn), Hot Shots 1 & 2 (PlayStation), Mario Golf (N64) and Tee Off (Dreamcast), not to mention all the EA PGA and Links golf games for my computer. So I guess you could say I'm into video golf. When I bought my GameCube last year I noticed there were no golf games available and was hoping EA Sports would put out a decent game. Well they've topped themselves with Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2003. All the elements are perfect---the graphics are awesome and cutting edge, the gameplay and physics are spot on, the sound is great and realistic, the fun factor and re-playability is very high and the new control format is excellent. I do kinda miss the ol' standard three hit power bar format and wish they still offered it as an option but with a little practice I got used to this new way of hitting the ball in no time. It's a little bit forgiving which means you don't have to execute an exactly accurate and perfect forward 12 o'clock thrust (with the analog stick) to hit it straight, which saves much frustration. I like how you win more money for making close approaches, pin hits, eagles and birdies which can be used to power up your customized player (power, accuracy, spin, approach, luck, etc.). Or you can choose Tiger himself (who is almost maxed out in the power ups) and really do some damage on the courses. Speaking of courses, there are many to choose from including the usual Pebble Beach, Sawgrass, Torrey Pines, etc. Making spectacular shots unlocks other courses throughout the game. My only complaint with this game is that there could've been a few more custom players to choose from but that's nitpicking now... Overall, this is the best golf game out there at the moment and GameCube fans should rejoice. I imagine the Xbox version is slightly improved but I don't see how it could look any better. Anyone interested in golf---go buy this game today.

it is a good game but it is wierd when you play against that old golfer could pops it says his accuracy isn't good but he always get it about 2 inches away from the hole to get eagles and birdies never pars IT DON'T MAKE SENSE other than that it is good

This is definitely the best Golf game out there. The new analog style of control is awesome. The earning money for attributes and golf gear is cool. And the many courses, challenges, tournaments, etc. is great. The only thing I don't like is on alot of shots the camera angle doesn't let you see the hole & it turns to show the golfers expression for too long. This doesn't give you very much time or sometimes no chance at all to try to correct a shot. I also wish that you could completely skip the player setup on the tee. But, other than that.

From the word go its by far the hardest and most exciting tiger woods ive played so far and i have all of them on both ps2 and on pc. Its great, the makers have added the courses from 2001 and 2002 and put them on 2003. There are more golfers as well, More trophy balls, and it is definatly more challenging. The tiger challenge is more exciting too. You get to play skin matches and in tournments as well in tiger challenge. Great game already recommened it to any of my mates that have a ps2 or pc and they'v recommended it to there mates. GREAT GAME
