funny spoof, bad targeting |

At first I was like "What the.. skittles" and then I got the comedy. The game is extremely easy to enjoy when you see all the spoofs from comercials down to movies in it. Some people still cant see past the skittle spoof. Get over it! the game has many more spoofs than just that. After a while it became a games of subconcience inteligance to me. the more I played the more I see subliminal spoofs as just laughed the entire time. I give the game a 90 %. the only problem I had was the targeting system sucks . the hit miss ratio for each swing is or magic is about 60\40. leaving ample time to die. so yes i feel a couple cheats are in order. to bad there arent any known yet.

It was a great game i enjoyed it a ton its better than lots of other games ive played its fun cool and it has pretty good graphics i would definetly play it again i would easily recomend it to anyone that is if you enjoy gamecube and pc games it really fun and worth your time honestly

I bought Darkened Skye at a used videogame store for twenty dollars. When I bought it, I expected way more than I got out of the game. The jokes are funny and the characters are creative, but glitches come often. I've had the game freeze and I've also had Skye fall into the "shadow world" quite often. (I refer the the 'seams' in worlds or bugs in the game as the "shadow world").
I enjoy the combat strategy and the cinamatic animation, but the textures are repetitive. However, the vocal score and music is well done.
I probably wouldn't suggest this game to a beginning gamer, as the learning curve is long and the controls are goofy.
Darkened Skye places in a well earned four stars out of ten. It's better than a skittles game has a reputation to be. :)

This game did have its shortcomings. I was a bit disappointed with the severely limited plethora of wildlife ie enemies. And apart from the occasional battle (Surprisingl challenging, very good)the gameplay consisted primarily of jumping around. But like Giants: Citizen Kabuto, the ridiculous storyline and sarcastic dialogue saved it. And while there are many who would claim that the plot centering on Skittles is a cheap marketing ploy (which doesn't sound too unlikely), it gave an added touch of humour to the game. Well done.

the games great and its also funny.i 1st thouht it was dump in the begning but got the hang of later,now i dig it.one thing that made it some what difficult ,was that there were to many enimies that had perfect aim.less enimies would have made it a 10 star game for me but for 20 bucks it was totally worth it.

I'm only in Ogmire city but I can already tell that this game rules. It takes game playing to a whole new level. I like the fact that they put skittles in because I love them. The graphics so far beat about ten gamecube games I've played before. I like the whole plot even though I don't see how skittles could be magic. Though it would be cool if in real life every time you ate a skittle you got a new power. I'm having trouble in Ogmire city because every time you turn a corner there is a blue fire throwing meanie trying to knock you into the water.I like skye because shes almost always being sarcastic, it really shows toughness in a character. This is the first kind of game that Ive ever heard of to have a candy with special magic in it. Talk about original! The sound affects are nice I really like the music. Though I do think the exploding rocks are really nicely sound animated. Skyes life can get really short , and when that happens I get her in a safe spot and go watch tv while her health slowly refills. thats another thing i like , her health refills even though only very slowly it does refill. why is everyone putting it down just because they put skittles in it? yeah its cheap marketing, but try and actually think about the game itself. i think its cool that people could actually build a good game around candy. why do you care so much about the bad marketing catch of it? at least the game has good graphics and spells with enemys that are for once challenging! skye's mother died when she was a child and then she grows up and must perform the destiny everyone had awaited for her to do scince she was a child, hey at least she has sarcasim. why wont anyone stop putting it down just because of its bad marketing skills, choose a game on the true story and graphics for once! and when you find out its about skittles dont just give up if you liked it before you knew that.

The people who made this game for the skittles had a choice of making it a crappy Cool Spot rip off or putting a lot of time and effort making it great. You have to go on a journey to recapture the lost prisms to bring back the skittles and magic to the world. You visit the far off places as seen in the skittles commercials, as well as a few extras, and meet some pretty unusual characters. I found Skye's commentary hilarious. I liked the game so much that I actually played it twice (something I don't do). My brother too shows off scenes from the game whenever he has a friend over. That there's skittles in the game doesn't make much difference to me. The places could have just as easily been well known locations on earth and the skittles could have been "orbs of power". I don't think they hurt the game at all and I like remembering the old commercials and being part of them. I hope they make a sequel with all the new ones and the new mint skittles. Though the controls were a little hard to master at first a few changes made it an easy job. The puzzles remind me of those in Tomb Raider. While most of them were easy to solve there are still a few that might stump you. The graphics at the beginning movie sequence was excellent though for the rest of the game it’s just a bit better than average. Over all I think this game was great.

listen ok i thought it was weird that they put skittles in a game but since i love skittles i didnt care i mean i know if some one actuly tried to steal the skittles from me i would cry like a littel girl so hey it could be alot worse the graphics are cool gameplay is cool its alittel weird to figure out its definetly not the best game out there but its cool enough to play until i find one way better

I thought it was a mistake at first. I enter the game with an orange SKITTLE? I checked... the box...the case and nothing led me to the fact that the game was about Skittles. I felt cheated. I felt like I was completely duped. Then I played through the game. Beat it. All these objectives just to get more Skittles? It has fun game play and graphics. Adding in the Skittles muted all that and RUINED it. It's got good graphics, cool spells, cool ememies, and some decent puzzles. Why Skittles? Some people were desperate to make money and sell candy. That sucks. I give this a 3. All because they put SKITTLES in it. Too bad.

I kinda liked this game although the whole skittles thing was a little lame. The only thing other than the skittles I don't like are the stupid lilly pads in level three and the fact I can find absolutly ZERO cheats.Plenty of walkthroughs that make no sense whatsoever but NO CHEATS!

Its not really about skittles the candy. Its a pretty cool game that I cant really figure out just yet. Ill get it soon. Maybe some cheats will help me along. If any one gets any, Ill be looking. I still think its pretty cool. You just got to play it for youself and make your own decision. Nothing wrong with it to me. I give it a thumbs up.

Can you belive that they actualy made a game about Skittles? I don't belive. The plot, something about a bad guy stealing Skittles and you have to rescue them and release the "power of the rainbow". Pure marketing scam against gamers everywhere. You buy this, you will become the gayest gamer ever! Period. Go buy some Skittles instead.
