Aight yall theres alot of tricks to this game that u need to figure out like before the handicap match go into a 1 on 1 match or somethin and earn allot of cash then up ur satmina power and charisma then focus on pockets(da little cracker) and just keep beatin his < remove me > at $$ unless someone goes blazin then just run around da ring untill he stops(after 30 secs)then when u go into blazin mode grab pockets as fast as u can and press da L3(or C)button and boom he aint gettin back up it may take a couple times to get it right but its worth it

It was OK. The moves are repetative and if you cant beat someone just run and wear them out. Charisma is the most important thing so you can use your special. This is a DEF JAM game only DEF JAM artist are going to be on it. Keep the girl you have and release more of her picks you will get them for free instead of $2500 Valued points when it takes as much as $25,000 to go up one rating point.theres alot of sorry picks of above average girls.If you want to win quickly it will take time go to Tag Team and fight out of the ring and continue to do your special on the non tagged fighter dothis several times over and over should take an hour or so and you can make 50-100 thousand. You get your points and the points of your partner. Luda D-Mobb and Meth are the best partners Sometimes Red and DMX Norm fight in norm time willbe 1500-11,000 take your money into story mode and spend it before you start to fight.
It could have been faster and more seemless. I can see the animations change. I hope the new one is alot better. There are too many games out to get this wrong and show some real girls that people know but there nothing like a 105# girl flipping a 300# man with her legs. and try the specials from behind most are better that way.

Finally i beat the whole game. what sucks is that i don't have a memory card to save it. those three guys were hard. i found a different way to beat them. start with the fat guy homes. them throw him to the ground then press The green button. and he will lose head health or leg health keep doing that until he submits but watch out for the other people. at the end before you fight D-mob angle gets on your side then D-mob tries to shot you and her then manny will stop him and get shot then you jump on D-mob then you fight he was pretty easy for me. He didn't hit me.i got him to submit. then when all of that is over you get all the pictures of angel but if i shut the gamecube off i have to redo the whole game

This game is the best i have ever played. I like the photos of the girs. i have had all the pictures of the girls. i always pick briggs. when i have a girl i keep her until another comes and they fight i always pick the other girl so i can get pictures of her and then keep doing that when you have a lot of money you can by pics they only cost 2,500 i like the asian girl the best i have beat almost everybody i haven't lost yet except for the part after you luda then angle wants to meet then three people come up and try to stop u. so i haven't beat them yet i don't have a memory card yet so i have to redo it all over again. They are hard. i need to knock them out. to beat them though i haven't done it yet but i know how to beat them first get your energy thing up and use the toggle thing and make sure there life thing is in the danger zone the when they are standing up press the A button witch would be the grapple button then when you are holding them use the yellow toggle stick and swing it around and the he will do his special move and then a K.O. wign will appear and you win. i am getting ready to go beat them clowns. well see ya and i will post something up when i win

this game is so cool.i got it on Christmas.the graphics on ludacris,DMX,joe budden,funk flex,and N.O.R.E. look so real.the only thing i dislike of the game is:no backstage fights, no weapons,and you cant make your own little def jam artists and play him through story mode.i rate this game a 10.i wish they could make a part 2 to this game and include guys like biggie,tupac,and other def jam artists who made songs that people like to sing.i like the signature moves.my favorite signature moves are from method man and joe budden and luda.here are my reasons:method man uses the move torture rack and joe budden uses the stone cold stunner while luda uses a devastating elbow drop.i really like story mode.i like the last part where d-mob shoots manny.that really got me into the game.

i thnk def jam was a not bad game but i feel it was just like any other wrestaling game the graphics were not all that bad betta then most games on the ps2 the controls were a bit to hard for my likeing the people in the game rule ludacris dmx and ghost are da best the must was defantly off the hook beta then any other game by far its defantly neva gonna be a game like this every no one could top it the price of the game for the ps2 was a bit much dont think it was worth £40

This game rocks! DMX ALL THE WAY! The special moves really makes this game shine. One of the best universal games out there (for all 3 platforms). Once I started playing I got hooked. The only reason I gave this game a 8 instead of a 10 is because I thought that the reversals could be a little less hard to do, and the story mode have more charecters and longer! ALOT LONGER!

The game Def Jam Vendetta is awesome. It is a fun game,and it's HARD. A little too hard. If it was easier, I was going to beg my mom to play it on weekdays too. One other problem it has is that D-Mob hates you, and wants you as his enemy. If it wasnt for that, he wouldn't send three guys over at the Story Mode to beat the hell out of you. One other thing is that WHY NO 50CENT, or SNOOP DOGG, or , P.DIDDY, MURPHY LEE, or NELLY or ...?
For girls, why not Christina Agullera, MIssy Elliot, or Beyounce? Well anyways, the game is awesome and fun.

Alot of reviewers will sweat this game because it DOES have rappers in it, so I will take a more unbiased approach without displaying my love for Hip-Hop culture:
CONCEPT
This is a refreshing game to have on the PS2 console as a competitive wrestling simulation (set in the world of Hip-Hop). The story is pretty basic and one-routed (they could have at least made the story slightly different for the 4 characters you start with): fight your way to the top, punk the boss, take back your girl. The same story is in Double Dragon and Donkey Kong - need I say more??
CONTROL
The control is EXACTLY the same as the wrestling games on N64, which was a HUGE plus for me. Also: it's hard for button-mashers to come even close to beating you.
GRAPHICS
No one makes simulations like EA. There is a strong likeness to our "rhyming heroes." Characters like Ludacris, DMX, WC, Redman and Method Man are made "TO THE T." (I think alot of these visuals were taken from photo shoots and things like posters - GOOD RESEARCH!) I know EA made this game and not Midway, but: WHERE IS THE BLOOD AND BRUISING?????
MUSIC/SOUND
Instrumental/vocal versions of songs that were on the radio during the game's release, and a few classics like "Throw Ya Gunz" by Onyx!
Bones cracking, grunts of agony, and who can forget the commentary of Funk Master Flex? Well-researched and gritty enough to match the concept of the game.
DIFFICULTY
I beat this game within a few days.
REPLAY VALUE
The glitter of this game wears off in a matter of a week, but then again: it has a very thin concept. Stick to beating your friends'when they come over. If you want a career mode in a wrestling game, get Smackdown.
((The only real gripe that I have about this game is that XBOX didn't pick up the license for this game. Imagine what they could've done to this with their hardware...)))

This is definately a game for all. I love Ruffneck. Who would have thought they would put out a game where you can be a Redneck? That was awsome. Not to mention great graphics, great sound track, a large selection of characters, and last but not least, this game had some of the best controls out of most other fighting games out there today! That's why I gave a 10!!!!

i am a fan of wrestling games, but def jam may have just killed that part of me. i dont have much to say because what makes it bad is so plain and simple. first off, ugly graphics, the fighters have smashed faces and look nothing like their real counterparts. also, they are pixelated and have a crappy frame rate. there are some contact issues too. the people dont even hit each other!. most wrestling games dont control very well, but their simplicity makes up for that. even the simplicity of this couldnt make up for how bad it controled. my person starts moving like, 5 sec. after i push the control stick, and then he doesnt even do what the button i pressed is assigned to do! this was a crappy game, but its not as bad as that awful, awful gta:vice city. its easy to tell that the other people who reviewed this game are just rap fans who think this game is great just because it has rappers in in, they have no idea what actually makes a game good.

One of the best games out now is this one. Unlike regular wresteling where there dqs and all those rules, this is hardcore.
one of the best thing is they choose to have a hip hop culture to it. To me the best person to start is Briggs. The only bad thing is you cant use weapons.

when i first played it i was loosing bad until got use to it the are slammin i give this game 10 stars. proof is the best rookie i know he is the one i beat the whole game with. the pimp on the game is halirious he was cracking me up. one thing i didn't like is the computer likes to give low blows all the time when he gets off the floor wuz up with dat.

Def Jam Vendetta is one of my favorite games now! Besides Killer Instict Gold for N64 and Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance for PS2, Vendetta is the best thing. It has extraordinary effects, characters, scene writings and the fighting is phenomial! I am definitely getting this game and I recommend it for all gamers!

This game IS SOO Awsome!...I rented it and that very same night I went and bought it.I hope they make a sequal to it.It would be better with a few more people in it and maybe even a creat-a-charcter.And maybe even have a lil bit less flaws and make the clothes move since there posta be baggy.And The story mode should be longer.And The last boss should be harder.I had Trouble with one of the ladder man and took 3 tries on him but D-Mob was a 5 min. take down!But other than that It was Awsome and if you take my advise you'll be rich with the hottest game to hit market for the PS2!

All the moves in this game are hot, all of the honeys in this game are hot, and everything about this game is hot. If they make a vol.2 all they need is a few more characters, some female artists to fight with(eve), and a create-a-player option. This game is tight from beginning to end. The storyline is tight, the effects, finishing moves, and WC is doin that C-walk. Highly recommend everybody to go and buy this game. Put Ja-rule and 50 cent on there so we can see 50 cent kick ja-rules . This game is unbelievable to sum it up. BUY IT NOW!

This game kicks serious butt,the combos are insane,the specials really open the can. All the detailed characters really stand out. They should have added more rear grapple moves strong and weak, and more corner turnbuckle grapple moves strong and weak, including create-a-player choosing from hundreds of attacks n grapples, and a little bloodshed from a random strike to the mellon, if there was a second addition to this game. Now have all characters and beat game 4 times, still really fun to play over n over..all in all a great game that hits PS2.
