I will first say that beside the FF games I don't like RPG games. In fact when I rented Gladius I did not think it was, but I have grown hooked to the game. It is a great combination of a RPG and first player fighting game. You move around as if in RPG but when you attack you control on how hard you hit, with a meter on the bottom of the screen that you can control with timing. It is a very long game and will most likely take over 50 hours to beat it the first time. If you are a firm believer that RPG's suck rent this game and see.

Gladius is a good game based in Imperia, Nordagh, and the areas that surround them. In gladius you get to choose your main character from either Ursula(the barbarian princess)or Valens(son of the greatest gladiator in Imperia)no matter which one you choose the gameplay will still be great. Gladius is a wierd combination between Role-playing and tactical. And to make it more wierd the battle system is both real-time and turn based(but no one said that is a bad thing). I give Gladius a 9 out of 10 because that's what it deserves. This is a must buy game!!!
