A good game but not great | | A gamer from Riverside RI USA says (14/Aug/2003): | The game has a lot of good features, but the cartoon like characters can be a bit annoying after a while. The power ups and the facial expressions after being punched is a riot. I liked the tornament mode better than the boxer's life mode. The Punch out sense of humor was why I gave it eight stars. I was entertained by the superb graphics, sound, and the easy controls. I do reccomend this one for people who like unreal boxing games. If you want realistic boxing, you might have a problem with this one. The greatest feature is the super punches and the sense of humor. I give it eight stars!
| What can I say, it's a good game. | | The Ronnerman!! from ATL, GA says (26/Feb/2003): | This game is a riot! It's not good in a simulation sense, but it's great fun stomping some ass! I was really suprised at how good it was. It's cell-shaded, which I like and it's fast and wild boxing fun. You basically fight over power-ups with which you pummel your opponent, and that's about it. Each character has his or her own story mode, which can affect game play. Each character is unique and are all ethnic stereotypes of various countries...very funny. I always use "Mickey McFist", the gambling, drinking Irish mean-ass. "Y'picked a fine day for an arse-whoopin'" (best line ever!)
