Totally Awesome, But need some help |

First of all, this game totally rocks and is probably one of the best games that has come out for Gamecube. Also The graphic design isn’t as bad as I thought it would be, because once you start getting into the game you really don’t notice it all that much. Anyway, the real reason why I’m on here is to ask for a little help. I can’t figure out how to catch an updraft with the Deku leaf in order to get into the second temple. I know how to change the wind and everything, but I haven’t been able to get those darn updrafts. I only tried like 4 times to get it, but I had to go to work. Does it just take some practice? Any advice I will give a shot at just so I’m not stuck there for 30 minutes or whatever. Any who, I must say that going back to the triforce was a nice change. The whole Majora’s Mask thing was, I think, a bad part on Nintendo. The story line is also a great new addition to the game as well. It involves all of the old characters, but like in the future. This is by far the best Zelda game ever created so far by Nintendo, and is going to be a tough one to top. I would highly recommend this game to any person who likes Zelda, or adventure games.

I'm still not all that impressed by the graphics, It does seem a little childish, and no doubt the nintendo64 graphics, and image of it all, are probably "Zelda Graphics" at it's best, seen by myself so far anyway. Although they do run smooth with the cell shading, I mainly have problems with the bushes and weeds, and also the way the water falls beside the boat when you are speeding through the water. I love the way the bombs go off in WindWaker though, it's pretty trippy. All in all, it's like watching a cartoon. Plus, I haven't found a single noticible bug yet, so that's a bonus! But considering the amount of time it took them to release it, it better be bug free. Now, with that aside, the gameplay is so much fun, and there is so much to do, that they could have done this game in black and white, with no sound, and it still would be better then any other game out there. I've grown up with the Zelda series, and finished every game it's series has to offer, and I'll continue playing them till the day I die, best game series in the world, I haven't picked up my phone, or left my house since I got it! Anybody who says different has been brainwashed by x-box where they think crappy games with cool graphics are good enough...

I love and adore this game. My husband and I have been playing and playing during our spring break like crazy. We even skipped work a few days just to play. This game is so addicting, it makes you want to play more and more. Graphics, sound and everything make this game a perfect *10*! PLus it's sooooooo long! I love that!

With so many new and old charecters, this game beats even Majoras Mask! The new Parry attak is great against most enemies, and items like Hero's Charm work well. Kalle Demos (2nd boss) Is one tough cookie, and even Miniblins are cool. Sword skills aren't the only skill to master, making this game a challenge to beat(without a guide, at least). A great game for fans from the beggining and newcomers alike.

ok a few days ago a "gamer" left the most trashy tacky review in the history of this sight!!!!! OK for one thing you are obsessed with the friggin triforce! and the graphics are superb. They flow very well. it is an original technique used in japan. i would know, ive been. Maybe if you got out a little more instead of sitting at home playing games ALL DAY you would know you paled faced freak!!!!

Ok, so Ocarina of Time was pretty kick ass. And everyone loved the graphics in that game for its time. Nintendo really sucked it up with the cel shading thing. They really should have stuck to the Ocarina of Time Link. Once you get passed the look of it all, it is actually a pretty fun game. Probably one of my favorites so far this year. They brought Zelda back to a more Triforce involved plot which made it much more enjoyable than that pile of crap Majora's mask. Overall, I'd have to say that the game itself is pretty addicting and intense. It didnt take me long to forget about the look of the characters because the game drew me in.

This game is full of suprises full of action and full of magic. i must say that the creatures did their best work ever. this game as some new character, some old friends, and of you could guess the most evil of them all, thats right his back. this game also gives you much more freedom to move, i mean out at see, bigger, better arrivels. i must say i think so far about the game. that the biggest suprise of them all was the real story on the lost thats right lost land of Hyrule. finally this game as all the others left me with one thing to say. Gamers the new generations of hero's has come but they need alittle back up,and you greatest skills.

This game is one of the best game i have ever played but just one thing about this game......... it is much to easy i beat for my first time in 1 day... all they need to do to make the game better is to make the game more challenging and longer....

This is deffinitely the best Zelda game ever and qute possibly the best game period. For all those who say that "the gameplay and story line are good but the graphics are lacking"; WHAT ARE YOU ON!? The fact is is that this game's graphics are flawless. They only help to immerse you into the character and the game. If you don't like the cel-shading technique you must not like being immersed in a game. You want to go for a game that is light and you can just stop playing and never give it a second thought. The graphics and game play unite to make another world. There is so much to do that you could play until your thumbs fall off. When you read a book or watch a movie you can be swept off into another land that, may not be better, but is completely different and refreshing. This is the only game that has ever done the same. So, if you like video games in the least go out, buy a Game Cube, buy The Legend of Zelda: the Wind Waker, and dive into another world.

This has got to be THE best game for the GC so far! Let's go through it systematically to show this absolute FACT: Graphics: The only people who say the graphics sux are those who haven't played the game. These graphics INCREASE the look, not degrade it! Just look at the expressions that Link and the other characters show! Graphics get a 10 from me. Sound: Another great acheivement from the Zelda Series. Listen to the sound while on the beach of an island. You here the lapping of the waves, the gentle whistle of the wind, the creak of your boat, all backed up by background music that sets the perfect mood. Again, no voice acting, but that's in the spirit of the series. Sound is another perfect 10. Gameplay: Excellent. Controls are easy to learn, easy to use, like the rest of the Zelda series. The parry attack is particularly amazing! Only difficult thing in this area is accidentally throwing enemy weapons. Gameplay is 9.9. Length: LONG. It is still at least 9 hours long just straightfoward. But earning every powerup and extra increases it to around 20! I like long games, so another 10. Fun Factor: Excellent. Incredibly fun to play, especially when they create humor in the midst of a tough battle. (Example: I thrust at a Moblin from behind. It dropped its spear and ran around holding its rear end.) The look, inspired by Manja comics in Japan, increase the fun to a 10. Originality: The story is brand new and sucks you in, despite the cheesy beginning. The characters add plenty of originality, revealing a little (or a lot of) personality in every character. Another perfect 10. Overall score: about ten thousand, but the reveiw only lets me go up to ten.

Ive had this game for one weekend and couldnt stop playing. When i first started playing it looked like a little childrens game. Then i kept playing and i got addicted. I would reccomend this to any hardcore gamer there is. But i would have to say this game is pretty even in *goodness* to the other zelda games.

Ok so everyone says the graphics S*** well guess what i dont care it is awsome they go great with the storyline and game. ive had it for a day and already im like halfway through i woke up at 5 am and started playin it. i like how you get to sail around instead of ride a horse though i do miss it. the only aspect i dont like is how they changed the koroki people (the Elves didnt anyone play the n64 game!?) to those little wood freaks. All in all the series is great i've been waitin so long for a zelda game to come out and finally it has and it RULES!

I just LOVE this wonderful game!!! If you haven't played it then you CAN NOT and I repeat CAN NOT judge it!!! As for me, well I pre ordered it so i can tell you how AWESOME it is!! IT is very long and has a great plot! The bosses are hard but really fun. The final fight this the best fight in the history of all ZELDA games ever created! Trust me, if you have doubts about this game then you probably haven't played it. The graphics are also stunningly good. The folks at Nintendo have created this beautiful game, and I thank them for it!!! I am SURE that this game "The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker" will be ranked the NUMBER ONE GAME. Just wait and see. In the mean time, I suggest you go out and buy this game for yourself so you can enjoy it like I did!!(Yes I have already beaten it (March/29/2003). But trust me, it was not at all easy. I was obsessed, playing it almost nonstop for a week) And now that I have beaten it, I am playing it a second time around. This time I got a different outfit and other new cool stuff. If you own the game then you can agree, From now on all ZELDA games should be "Cell Shaded". Hope you enjoy the best ZELDA game of all time! I did, and still do!!!

Great Gameplay, Best music ever, Zelda fans would love it, Cell shading to me makes it look more 3D great graphics, Huge world, Keeps lots of old game items, Adds new item, Monsters are awsome!, You own a boat, More great mini games!, You can steal enimies WEAPONS and items!, Awsome game Fun Factor- Tons of fun, you can use the metric system to measure the fun in this game.Sound- Great, original, Graphics- Good, just different. Length- The game will last a while.

Why do you people keep complaining about the graphics? My sister's had the game for three days and everybody is hooked. I'll admit, I was skeptical when I saw screenshots early on. The graphics may not look like much from screenshots, but when you play the game everything just melts together. It is much, much better than any disney or anime animation by far, and the graphics DO top Ocarina of Time and Majora in some ways, especially the interaction of characters with the environment. On top of that, the controls work incredibly well, the new item system is the best yet, and of course keeping consistant with the Legend of Zelda series, a storyline that is second to none. Bottom line, this is quite possibly the best video game ever made. Anybody who rates this game lower than 9 stars is out of their friekin' mind.

I have to admit that I was skeptical about the cel-shaded graphics and how much it would change the game play but this is an excellent game. I do think i would have like the game more if they had stuck to the look link had at the end of Ocarania of Time, but who am I to argue with one of the greatest gaming companies. Overall the gameplay is similar to that of its nintendo 64 conterpart and if you enjoed that games dungeons and adventures, then you will love this game.

ok i liked ocarina but i would have been way better with the triforce more involved- majora's mask what the hell was up with that, they didnt even mention the triforce!! Thats what the whole series is about- the wind waker acommplished that goal so good for it but now if they would have kept the same graphics like in ocarina just enhanced they would have hit a home run

The game is friggin' awesome but it lacks graphics terribly.They should make another one with better graphics.If you buy this game I'm sure you won't regret it.It is one of the best games Nintendo will ever make.The object is to save your sister fromthe evil magician Ganondorf{I thougt he was destroyed in the Ocorina Of Time).I think Nintendo should've made a different person to be the main boss instead of Ganondorf again.
