A great game with few flaws. |
| K.K. from Levittown,USA says (12/Jun/2006): |
Hmhm! This was truly a good game! The gameplay was magnificent. Some dungeons in the first game were simple. Then I tried Master Quest. Truly great! In the beginning, though, the cutscenes were quite long... Yes, yes, yes... The one with you and Navi.
If you want a partly easy game with fun and easy puzzles, you'd want the regular Ocarina of Time. But if you prefer more of a challenge, you know, a zing-zing, then Master Quest is for you.
When you play Master Quest, do not get frusturated when you do not get something at first. It WILL take you many tries. Also, no body can beat the game in one hour so hold your horses if you think you can! Seriously!
My Results:
Graphics: Rough edged, Eh, So - So (1)
Gameplay: Great! (2)
Music: Good Choices! (2)
Originality: Totaly cool! (2)
Storty Line: Excellent! (2)
Nine out of ten! Awesome!!!
To sum it all up:
Good game, challenging, tricky, fun and cute character!!! Heh heh! I hope this little review helped you determine if you want to get this game or not (or just a young 10 year old opinion if wanted) and have a nice day!
P.S - The common price in the U.S (Well, what I bought it for) was $24.99. Enjoy it... The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time Master Quest... Be a master!

Chills and thrills! |
| Rishi from New York, USA says (21/Jul/2003): |
I dunno but whoever said that this game was bad and they beat it in one day must be a really good gamer ofr just lying. Im only up to the fire temple after getting it about a month ago, thanks to cheats! Official website for it: www.Zelda.com It has walkthroughs and step by step information for all the Zelda games ever made. WoW! I have this for gamecube and i was a little upset because before I bought it the back previews of the disc cover said better resoulution than N64. I look at screenshots from the N64 one and its completly the same. Mine only cost $14.99. It was a good bargain but if u wanna get this game for Gamecube but have it for N64 then i suggest u dont because its the same thing. I dont have N64 but others do. So after reaserch it is practactly the same thing. However if u are looking foward to the Master Quest then u should buy it. Other than that its great. Thats why i rated it a 9.

Masters Quest |
| matrix4ever101 from espyville, PA, USA says (8/Jul/2003): |
This game is Freakin Awesome!!! but its also stinkin hard. I love how to get the last stone from the zoras you had to repeatedly shoot the cows. (it was confusing) My only regret is that they kept the same storyline, and that they didnt create any new vicious weapons.
but all in all it was an awesome game but not for first time zelda fans. have fun!

MQ is simply Awsome! |
| A gamer from Waterloo, USA says (5/Jul/2003): |
Master Quest has to be the most fun game that I've played since the regular OOT! I think Nintendo did a great job of enhancing the game without taking away from the original idea. I loved how the dungeons got even harder as you progressed through the game. The changes are apparent as soon as you enter the deku tree and they keep getting better as you get to the end of the game. Also from top to botom, the graphics are cleaner and the movements of all the people and things in the game are a lot smoother. All in all it's another beautifully designed nintendo masterpiece and I hope that everyone who has played this game has enjoyed the new adventure as much as I have. Even if you have played and thought the game was easy, you have to admit that it was still fun. I'd like to give a huge THANKS to Nintendo for sharing the game with all of us!

still the best |
| A gamer from new york, usa says (4/Jul/2003): |
ocarina of time(oot) was the best game ever, period. so it should come as no surprise that i loved the new one. i had gotten to the point where i could beat oot in about 3 hours w/o taking any damage, i had memorised every aspect of it. i am soo glade that the big n released a harder version. it being in high resolution made the graphics, which were already great, noticibly better. and it still controled perfect, sending ganon back to the darkworld was still easy thanks to the unbeatable control setup, faithfully reproduced on the gamecube. the tiny details such as the forest spirits and a the reflection of water on the walls of zoras domain still, even today look spectacular. and the framerate is still super smooth. no slowdown, or chopped up frames anywhere. the new dungeons were insanely difficult, it took me quite awhile to beat them all, but i did, and the experience is still just as gratifying as ever, even more so. the music is still great, the theme and fairy fountain music still almost bring tears to my eyes remembering all of the great moments i had with this game. it still sets a mood wnderfully. the shadow temple still creeps me out as much as ever, and the battle music still gets the adrenaline pumping. i know i said in my prime review that prime was my new fav, but, i dont think so, i still think this is my fav. game still. i loved this as much as the regular, so im gonna say what i said about the regular, there is no reason you should not buy it, own it, play it, and love it. this game will make you never want to stray away from the zelda series. keep it up mr. miyamoto, games like this are why zelda is the best series ever, and why nintendo will continue to be the best gaming company on earth.

Ocarnia of time |
| Tetren Recklar from Sussex WI. Usa says (16/Jun/2003): |
a VERY good game, I beat it in 3 days.... ^^;; if you want to have masterquest and windwaker together, you're too late.. although, you can check on ebay. That's where I got mine! anyways back to the review, the only problem in the ocarnia of time (not master quest) was that it had too many glitches... Master quest is like 10 times harder! I am stuck in digongoes cavern, and my sister who beat the game in 2 days died in the deku tree O.o the graphics are better, and the dungeons are so much harder... if you were to get a game, I would reccomend master quest or windwaker :D

I was too late in preordering windwaker and now I can't find where I can get Master Quest Game |
| Gabe from Alabama, USA says (11/Jun/2003): |
I was definately planning on preordering the windwaker game to get the bonus game but I never had time to go up to the store because I was so busy. Now that I have the game and I beat windwaker, I keep on reading on how awesome the master quest game is and I want to get it but I don't know where or how. If any of you know any idea at all please tell me. I have bought every single Zelda game there is and I don't wanna be missing this one. I still have the NES Zelda.

The best game ever!!!! |
| A gamer from CA USA says (29/Apr/2003): |
This game is great it took me aweek to beat it. I was stumped a few times. The only thing is that it follows the sme storyline as ocarina of time. They should have made the game a little different. Such as how you get the bottles or the biggoron sword, But non the less you should play it if you have.

MOST dungeons are harder |
| A gamer from Cuba, NY, USA says (25/Apr/2003): |
Like I said...most dungeons are harder, unlike the Water and Fire Temple. I really think this game rocks but the changes stumped me most of the time...example-To lower the well in the Forest Temple, the switch is actually in the well itself :X. The game has awesome dungeons, format, and all that junk but I think there are way too many puzzles throughout each dungeon alone. Most of them took me a good hour watching TV to even get the slightest idea. Right now, I'm stumped in the well, but may I suggest using lunabean.com for an excellent resource and for the best Master Quest walkthrough. It got me through the Forest through Water Temples without a scratch on me. As far the graphics go, I think I like the Wind Waker Graphics more, but it seemed the same as the original. I wouldn't know anything about the sound because my TV is strangely...messed up. Again, I think it's a great game, if you're up for a challenge, but remember, this is master quest...as in a quest for the masters. But if you are just new, I suggest you stick to Ocarina of Time unless you want to be stumped every three seconds, but it's worth it because of how much fun this game can be.

i hated it |

| Outcast_262 from everett / WA / USA says (1/Apr/2003): |
man, Master quest is sooo freakin awesome!!! I just got it and even the first dungeon is hard. something like this makes me wonder if there are other zelda games in creation right now that are going to be hard as M.Q.?!? if master quest was half as awsome as it is hard than this game must be the best of all Game cube games.OH! Did i mention how cool this game was???

The New Zelda Comes Out Tomorrow!!! |
| Joshua from Durham, NC USA says (27/Mar/2003): |
What is and what had been done shall be proven in the new Zelda which is being released on March 28, 2003. Prepare yourselves for a new kind of adventure, surely one to rival the Ocarina of Time, and definitely a new age for the newcomer Zelda fans. One will begin to know that being a Zelda fan is a lifetime committment, as long as Nintendo is in business. If they [Nintendo] stop making game consoles, it is sure that they will still continue to release classic games for the ultimate gamers!! Good luck with the new Zelda...hope there are new sites to help me out ( I know this will be a very difficult game)... LoCi_X...

Master Quest brings a tear to my eye!!!!!!!!! |
| sbnkM from stockton, california, USA says (23/Mar/2003): |
This game is amazing. There is nothing like this.Even whenit was on nintendo 64 it was better than most PS2 Xbox games. Now that its on Gamecube and improved, it is the best game ever. Giving it free with a pre-order is stupid. They should sell it for 70$(only the master quest). This game leaves me speechless!!!!11

The Master Quest is hard! |
| Joshua from Durham, NC, USA says (21/Mar/2003): |
The Ocarina of Time for the GC is awesome! It's just like the original, except cleaner! The Master Quest is too hard for me, though. I'm still stuck in the Forest Temple, and cannot find help anywhere on the net about this...Give the Master Quest a try and you'll see what I'm talking about (unless you're some kind of rocket scientist this may not apply to you).

Ocarina of Time Master Quest |
| Jen from Massachusetts says (16/Mar/2003): |
It's a good game. It has more like the classic Zelda games, in which it's more puzzle solving in the doungens, but the bosses seem a bit easy to defeat. If you played Ocarina of Time you can pretty much know your way around in Master Quest. If your like me and need to get every little thing including all the skulltulas, you might find it slitly difficult because most of them have been moved. There are times were I hit a dead end and wish there was a game guide. If you can get one, get it, it's still a fun game to play.

THE BEST GAME EVER |
| Ben Craft from Greenville, North Carolina,USA says (15/Mar/2003): |
I agree, this game is the bomb!!! When i saw windwakers graphics, i was shocked. its kinda like a cartoon movie graphics!!! I cant waituntil i get windwaker. Master Quest allows you to play oot, except it a WHOLE LOT harder!!! But since I am a HUGE Zelda fan, it'll be no problem, since i completed A Link to the Past, Ocarina of time, and A Links awakening. I thought they were the best, wait until Wind Waker!! I saw the preview o the master quest and i was like.... MAN!!! Another Zelda game! I am not done playing master quest yet, ive had it 3 days and im at Jabu Jabu's Belly. If it werent for a boy named Johnny Faulkner, I wouldnt know about windwake so THANK YOU JOHNNY! This game really deserves 11 stars. But if any zelda freaks wanna talk, just email me at Limpingsk8ter5< remove me > at aol.com ok thats my review
