A little better than average.39248

Dan Antle from Louisiana, USA says (21/Feb/2004):
This game has the best visual and audio of any Star Wars game I've ever played. And the co-op and dogfight modes are great. However the game's mission variety was poor. The speederbike was good and so was the AT-ST's. I would like there to be a full trilogy instead of what was just missing from the predessessor (Rogue Leader). The heart of Rogue Squadron is piloting and should be the forefront. The idea of bringing Luke to Degobah and "learn to use the force" for what? Two levels. That was a waste.
I would have enjoyed Battlefield Hoth more if I was able to fight in the speeder before being brought down. The Executor battle was cool. But was basically the same as the shipyard. The Battle of Endor was a much better last stand than the lack of cohession of Rebel Strike's ending.
All-in-all, the piloting of vehicles were very good. Keep that and graphics with the sound were much better than the other Rogue Squadrons, but the ground missions aren't what they're cracked up to be.

good but not that good41072

A gamer from ireland says (29/May/2004):
I would have gave this game a 10 if the developers had of included one new level, a fight with darth vader at the end of return of the jedi, it would have been far better than the bonus level unlocked the endurance thing were stormtroopers just keep coming out. Wen i did the yoda training i thought that this wud mean i take on vader in the last level, even wen i did the sarlac level i definitely thought it was keeping straight to the trilogy, i was sadly dissapointed to finish the last level as not even luke but as the guy who crashes into the executor, why all the on-foot levels and then not a final battle with darth vader level, it would not have been that hard to do.

The best graphics you will ever see34818

David Montgomery from Modesto California, USA says (6/Nov/2003):
Star Wars Rebel Strike had me hooked from the first minute I played it. The next day I said this is the best game I have ever seen. Rebel Strike with Rouge Leader complete the starwars trilogy. Nothing is missing. I will admit that the first person camera is difficult at times, but the rest of the game makes up for it.

Its the best game on Gamecube40628

Jim Hernandez from Chicago Ill. says (25/Apr/2004):
I say it is the best game I have played for cube. I beat the game with all gold medals. It is worth all ten stars . I espically like its graphics and the gameplay is awsome. My favorite level is Attack on the Executor. I get my Slave 1 or my jedi starfighter and I easily get a gold you guys should try it to. To get the Jedi starfighter earn all silver medals on each mission and bonus. To get slave 1 get all bronze on regular missions. Contact me if you want some good codes to get all gold medals on each mission.

very good game34207

A gamer from USA, livonia , MI says (27/Oct/2003):
First of all i would personally like to beat the ^#&*$&(# #$< remove me > at < remove me > at out of the people who rate this game a 5 or below to downrate this game even when they havent played it. Doing that is just rediculous. It shows you have no class (or a life). 2nd, this game is very good despite what all the critics say. Even the pro rating sites have misjudgded this game in my opinion. Sure some of the ground missions are a bit flawed, but not unplayable. IN fact, some are quite fun. Beyond that everything else in the game is supurb! If you are even thinking about getting this game i suggest you do so. Its one of the best games to ever come out on any system. Even if you aren't a major star wars fan i still suggest you get this. Its a great game.

peace out.....bjjkd.......

"Perfect! A Gaming Masterpiece!"35067

Adam Heath from Hereford, England says (10/Nov/2003):
Upon buying Rebel Strike, my most anticipated game of the year, I rushed home and put it in my cube. Fron the silky visuals at the start you could feel the tension rising. I skipped the Tatooine training and went straight to the revenge of the empire level. As soon as the fmv's finished you were straight in the action, taking out huge flying ships. Since then i have got upto the fondor shipyard stage, where you take out an Imperial Super Star Destroyer. Some of the on foot bits are fiddly though but the greatness of the additional co-op and versus modes make up for it. I hope others will enjoy it's sheer brilliance as I have. It will stay in your cube for the next few months!

Best game so far out of star wars games40819

Daniel Barrett from Burghfield Common in England says (10/May/2004):
I would have to say that this game is completly the best so far out of all star wars games on any platform. The frame rate per second is awsome and it handles loads more than rogue squadron2. Which sadly i would have to say has been the saddest game so far out of star wars but rebel strike kicks back. i completed the game in a week which i thought was bad but i forgot about when i thought about the graphics and the intense battle especially the attack on the executor. so that is why i give this game all thumbs up.

Rouge Squadron III: Rebel Strike is by far one of the best games I have played all year.34099

Michael from Maryville, TN,USA says (25/Oct/2003):
Star Wars Rouge Squadron III: Rebel Strike is by far my favorite game in the series. Not only do you get to fly a wide variety of craft, you also get to run around on foot and shoot people with blasters and use a lightsaber. Another reason I love the game is that it has an impressive versus and co-operative modes, which were needed in the other games to make them better. The game features a variety of levels and a lot of bonus missions. One of my favorite missions is Relics of Geonosis. I love flying the jedi starfighter and using sonic charges. I also enjoy watching the beggining of the game where everyone is dancing, and the arcade is short but fun. I also like flying the Tie Hunter, and the Tie Bomber. I recommend this game to any age, but it is a little complicated to catch on if you have never played a game in the series before. I don't really know any codes for the game, but it is a blast anyway. I can't wait for Rouge Squadron IV to come out if they design one, and this time I hope they don't make it to where you have to play Tatooine Training before playing the first true level.

The best game out there on the market!34553

Bob Smith from Tallahassee(Florida) United States says (2/Nov/2003):
This game has everything from huge space battles, and great on-foot mission. This game tops all others out there. Lucus Arts hit it big this time. This game is addictive, fun, and packed with action. The only problem is a small problem with the co-op life system. You don't know how many lives you get. But at least it has a co-op! That is what a lot of games lack now. A good co-op is all that I need to be entertained. As if co-op wasn't enough, they threw in a versus! It is the best versus ever too! They have so many special games, and great dogfights!

HEY SIMONE!34578

Phillip from Detriot Michigan says (2/Nov/2003):
You got a lot of guts claiming your a Sar Wars fan. According to what you said, you have hardly played the game. I own it, the graphics are incredible, the new particle lighting system is brillent, its replayability is high, i keep coming back for more! Don't even get me started on the story line, following not one character but two! How good does it get. I am a die hard Star Wars fan whom has read 98 of the expanded universe books, i have played almost all of the video games, and i watched the 100 movies to many times to count. In other words i know my stuff! From the sounds of it, you are some guy watched the Star Wars movies a couple of times and said "Hey this is pretty cool, i guess that makes me a Star Wars fan." Reality check, your no better than the Lord of the Rings fans whom have only seen movies, not read the book. Heres a few other notes for you "Simon from Canada." Are you aware that the game has multiple bonus levels and bonus ships that can be unlocked, this feature alone makes the game worth the $50 bucks! Think about this the next time you go to dis Star Wars!

A welcome addition to any collection38596

Andrew J Chapman from Thatcham, England says (26/Jan/2004):
Star Wars: Rebel Strike is the epitomy of the Star Wars saga, excellent graphics, realistic sounds, and a gameplay to die for whether you're a hardcore Star Wars fan or not. The story progresses deeper into the original trilogy emphasising on Empire Strikes Back, and of course Return of the Jedi. Yet has some interesting levels involving the first film, such as the Death Star Rescue mission. Yet whilst the gameplay, graphics and sound all deserve a 10 rating, there are a few lacking areas of the game. These include the short lifespan of the game i personally completed and got all gold medals within the space of a day, so its not game with longevity. The replay value is ok considering you play over the same missions again, except the choice of craft is greatly increased. (Going into the bridge of the Executor with an A-wing is still one of the best moments of the game)

Obviously the originality rating from the game could never make a 10, too many companys have tried and failed to realise the Star Wars universe that George Lucas achieved with his films, this game has got to be the best of the bunch. (The inclusion of the Arcade game from all those years gone by is much appreciated)

Overall, a must buy game for all ages.

Andrew

Pretty good overall35204

Spider One from Bloomfield,New Mexico,usa says (12/Nov/2003):
I have played all of the star wars games that I could get my hands on and I think that this game actually does Star Wars justice. I really like the fact that you are not just stuck in a ship throughout the game, I like being able to walk around, and i also like to be able to pilot a walker. The other thing I really like is the fact this one is more like the movie it almost makes you feel like Luke.

when its good its very good35600

doug constable from st leonards ,england says (18/Nov/2003):
I was very excited when I heard that Factor 5 were working on another Rogue Squadron game as I am not only a complete Star Wars nut, I am also a big nintendo fan and really liked the first 2 RS games as well as the Episode I based game "Battle for Naboo". However I was concerned about the on foot sections of the game. They have never been very successful in other SW games and unfortunately this game turns out to be no exception. The levels which concentrate on flying however are pure genius and somehow manage to look even better than Rogue Leader. The only ground based parts that work are the AT-ST levels which are good fun. So all in all an extremely good game in parts only held back by some truly dire on foot levels.
I have to add that the addition of multiplayer is long overdue and very welcome. Also it is an absolute joy to play the original Star Wars and ESB arcade games again after so many years- aaah, my lost youth!!!

The best game ever to come out!35216

Andy from City: Plains State: PA Country: USA says (12/Nov/2003):
You know what, all the idoits who think the game is bad really should get a life. The ground missions are excellent! You actually get to throw a thermal detenator into the walker just like the movie! Now see, how can you call this game bad? I know some of you morons who think its bad because you have a bad sense in video games, but the game is challenging, thats what makes a game good.

the best yet, a cornerstone for games to come35531

T Skywalker from Augusta , Georgia says (17/Nov/2003):
Rebel Strike is the best yet. I hope other Star wars games will be like this. It gives you flight missions with better gameplay action, better graphics, and 3rd person gameplay. You get the best of both worlds. This game should set a mark for future star wars games. Rebel strike allows you to dogfight with friends, having a wingman , which is used with the gameboy , I dont have a gameboy, but this is still a cool addition to the game. The missions are fast paced, not drawn out like some mission in Rogue Squadron II. There are also verses battles in 3rd person and in flight. This game has similarities of Jedi Outcast and Rogue Squardron rolled into one .I hope this is just the beging of future games to come. Rebel strike has old starwars arcade games you can play. There is more variety in this game than any I've played. I hope they will come out with a starwars game similar to this with 3rd person lightsaber action and flight missions, one game could have missions from a New Hope, Empire, Return of the Jedi-- as this game does only have the missions go along with the movies and have Nights of the Old Republic touch to it for lightsaber action all the way through as Luke, Obiwan, and darth vader, with the Empire and Return of the Jedi Luke-Vader duels.

Just Another Star Wars Game34279

Anonymous Critic from USA says (28/Oct/2003):
Okay, it was good at first but then became awfuly boring. It is getting old, these "Star Wars" games, and just plain stupid. How many times will they make a game, which is just like the others; you have a big battle, you have some little batlles or objectives, and then get to the final battle. The characters are weak, and there was a big downfall since last edition. The graphics are decent, but could have been improved. The controlls were extremly hard to cope with, and I disliked these things, and believe you should not get the game, unless you like old-school games. I have been said to be good at rating games, and strongly suggest you listen to me.

Dissapointing34374

Robert from Philadelphia, PA says (30/Oct/2003):
I was soo excited to get tjis game. UNtil I got it home and realized it was the same thing over again. The added foot missions made the game choppy in terms of the storyline. Doing the same things over and over is hardly innovative. Unlocking the same crafts from Rogue 2 is dissapointing. The designers could have come up with a much better game. I think this game takes the series a step back, by making it an exact copy of the last one. Buy it, play it for a week, then dump it. It has a very low replay value.

Best Star War Game Yet34449

Wise Man Nate from Philly, PA US says (31/Oct/2003):
If you thought the other Star Wars Rogue Squadron games were good, then you would think this game is simply amazing. Between the high quality graphics depicted in the variety of ships and locations, and the sheer intensity of the music and sound effects, this game rises far above them all. In addition to all of the main new missions, Rogue Squadron III provides you with the ability to go head-to-head with another player, or if you want you can even play all of the Rogue Squadron II missions in co-op. All in all, Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike is a "must buy game".
