being FORCED out | | Hannible from Toronto,Canada says (27/Oct/2003): | I was really looking forward to this game,as i have loved all the rogue squadron adventures. from playing the demo disk, i thought that getting out of the ship might be kind of cool.gonig around, take out some AT's and such.HOWEVER...it turned out to be the worst thing ever!!!In one game, they ruined the series for me. Dont get me wrong,i still love 1&2,but 3 is the worst.i hate the missions where you arent in some vehicle. If i wanted a star wars game where you have to run and jump, there are plenty of (bad) ones out there. i wanted rogue squadron!!! i've beat the game, and let me say that there is still some really good rogue action, the graphics are great, and the sound effects are amazing. on the gamplay side, all vehicle missions are great, all on foot missions are horrible. there are some that have both, and both of my former views apply to these. for me, the lifespan and fun factor is limited to only vehicle missions. if the next game has getting out and runing around....i will not buy it. anyone who is thinking about buying this game cause they think getting out is great, find someone who has it and has the "trials of the jedi" mission unlocked. i think you'll change your mind.
| very good game | | A gamer from USA, livonia , MI says (27/Oct/2003): | First of all i would personally like to beat the ^#&*$&(# #$< remove me > at < remove me > at out of the people who rate this game a 5 or below to downrate this game even when they havent played it. Doing that is just rediculous. It shows you have no class (or a life). 2nd, this game is very good despite what all the critics say. Even the pro rating sites have misjudgded this game in my opinion. Sure some of the ground missions are a bit flawed, but not unplayable. IN fact, some are quite fun. Beyond that everything else in the game is supurb! If you are even thinking about getting this game i suggest you do so. Its one of the best games to ever come out on any system. Even if you aren't a major star wars fan i still suggest you get this. Its a great game.
peace out.....bjjkd.......
| Not good at all! | | Simone from Canada says (25/Oct/2003): | I have played some demos and other aspects of the whole game and thought it was just another "Star Wars" game. It got boring easily, even after playing it for a few minutes, and I'm a big "Star Wars" fan. Okay, graphics are good, but still, it's the same thing as it always has been, so it has a low game life. The characters were about the same and controlls were terrible. I definately do not suggest getting it when it comes out in your area. Really.
| Rouge Squadron III: Rebel Strike is by far one of the best games I have played all year. | | Michael from Maryville, TN,USA says (25/Oct/2003): | Star Wars Rouge Squadron III: Rebel Strike is by far my favorite game in the series. Not only do you get to fly a wide variety of craft, you also get to run around on foot and shoot people with blasters and use a lightsaber. Another reason I love the game is that it has an impressive versus and co-operative modes, which were needed in the other games to make them better. The game features a variety of levels and a lot of bonus missions. One of my favorite missions is Relics of Geonosis. I love flying the jedi starfighter and using sonic charges. I also enjoy watching the beggining of the game where everyone is dancing, and the arcade is short but fun. I also like flying the Tie Hunter, and the Tie Bomber. I recommend this game to any age, but it is a little complicated to catch on if you have never played a game in the series before. I don't really know any codes for the game, but it is a blast anyway. I can't wait for Rouge Squadron IV to come out if they design one, and this time I hope they don't make it to where you have to play Tatooine Training before playing the first true level.
