I love every NBA Live, If only |

There were more of a realistic crowd. I REALLY REALLY REALLY believe that if the crowd of each home team differed like in real life, I believe that would be the finishing touch to NBA LIVE 2006. Because NBA Live 2005, to me is the best basketball game ever. But if each home team chants different, just like college basketball. If you notice, each home team is different in the way they cheer their home team. Take DUKE BLUE DEVIL'S, their crowd is called the Cameron Crazy's. They have one of the electric crowds and fans of all college sports. And instead of all the rap music and all the other music during game play, how about playing some of the music during the game, at least twice each game and not throughout the whole game, but rather let every Home crowd be uneak in it's own way through chants of the crowd, and scenes like Spike Lee yelling at Reggie Miller after making a three point shot. and the fans holding up signs like: Mail man don't deliver on Sunday's, as you know that was what Scottie Pippen said to Karl Malone. This way NBA LIVE 2006 and others will be even more competetive, because people love to compete. So I say less rap music, and more basketball beats played throughtout the game. Like: With the Lakers, when Tyrone Lue was there, the crowd chanted LUEEEEE.... when ever he touched the ball or made a good defensive play. Or take Sacramento Kings fans, their fans differ from Atlanta, Golden State, and the losing teams of the NBA season. And Lastly, I wish the Nba Playoffs were more electrifing, maybe include some fire works in some home stadiums, but I hope for no stadium to be the same as another stadium. I believe that this type of add on to the game NBA LIVE will make BIG BIG BUCKS $$$$$$$

I have spent so many hours on this game and it is really fun, but you people did not put some of these things in:
Graphics: The graphics are so bad. All the tattoos are blury and all of the spectators are flat and they cheer even if their team loses at the end. I think that the court graphics are very good but sometimes when I take a dunk or lay-up I go through the ring and sometimes when a player is dribbling the ball up the court he would dribble and take 2 really glitchy steps and then dribble again.
Some extras: In 2005 there should defiantly be a dunk competition and I think there should be cheerleaders or a halftime show. There should be spectators with signs rooting there team on, there should be people walking around in the stands selling food, the commentators are very good but they need to say some new stuff because if u play the game as much as me you get tired of hearing the same things over and over, there should be a lot more moves like old school and and1 moves but it doesn't need to be to extreme, u should also be able to load up ur team from dynasty mode and play it in an exhibition game and please get the commentators to say your real name not a nickname i wouldn’t care if they don’t pronounce it probably, and there also should be heaps of chatter on the court from the players like sayings and things like that.
Sounds: I love the music because its rap.
Game play: At the start it was pretty hard to get used to the separate shoot and lay-up/dunk buttons but I got used to it and I think its way better now so please don’t change the configuration. So you have done a good job in the aspect. Just a lot of new things should be added.

I really like the game I was always a fan of it I just have a couple of things that I would like to say about it. The game would be 100 times the better if it had the All-Star weekend like in the real season, such as the sophmore and the rookie game, dunk contest, and etc.Some other things the game needed was signature moves more dunks and better lay-ups like reverses or something but a Dunk contest, A All-star weekend, and a 3-point shootout contest would put the game over the limits.From 1-10 i gave the game a 9 and it was way better than all the other basketball games.

This game was a huge improvment from the last NBA Live. The option to either dunk or lay it up is smart because if you are in a heated game and you need a three point play, you can change your shot to cause the foul. Its pretty tight! The freestyle control is better because the crossovers are elaborate and way more life-like. One thing I like about this game is how you can make your franchise better under the dynasty mode with dnasty points. The play under the rim was more aggressive and its not as easy to score and drive in. This game aint for punks who want a simple shoot and score game. This game is for true NBA Live lovers.

Now, don't get me wrong the game is o.k. but, there's a lot of work that needs to be done to this game. In my first reveiw I just touch a few pionts of what I liked and disliked. But, in this review I would liked to add more of what people want in the game. Now during the real NBA season we the people are expecting an exciting season of head to head hard action basketball full spectacular offensive moves and crazy highlights(crossover,dunkes,reverse layups etc..)during the season you have ejections, players throwing chairs, flagrant fouls, fights etc...Now in nba live we don't have none of this.the game should have players getting ejected flagrant fouls called on them for pushing players out the air for example. I have played nba live every since the first one came out in 1994 or 1995. On the back of every nba live case or cover we always see these words or something simular to it:
tons of crossovers
tons of dunks
tons of layups
enhanced game play
better graphics
battle for position
all new animations
an arsenal of moves at your disposal.
We buy this game every year and we see just about the samething every year. Now a few nice things have been added but there needs to be more in the game. if you say crossovers put at least 15 to 20 crossovers in the game. If you say layups you have to think big and say lets put in all types of lay ups from old school to new school the same thing for dunks. When you create a player you should be able to go all out,you should be able to create old school players that look like old school player or new school that look like new school players with old jerseys newjerseys long shorts ,medium shorts ,or short shorts. there should be a create a jersey and a create a team section in the game.The graphics need to way better than NBA live 2003 and NBA live 2004. There nets on the rim need to pop in the air like it does in real life in stead of just hearing the popping sound. the crowd needs to be in the game more not just the sound of them cheering, they should be walking the stairs wearing lakers or bulls jerseys or moving out of the way when players come flying out of bounds.All I am saying is really think realistic the more realistic the more people will enjoy buying and playing the game. There should really be classic teams on the game (all Classic teams from the beginnig of basketball up to now and all the player from the beginning up to now , even players no one talks about).The game should even have the olympic season on it.These are just some things that people want in the game, It may sound crazy or look like a wish list for the game but it is a true reveiw of whats needed and what people want see and i'm just one person imagine the world of men and women who want to see more from thier perspective.

This game has a lot wrong with it.The graphics sucks 2003 have better graphics then this one.Every body face looks like card board their body too. I like the whole Idea of the dunk/layup button but half the time the lauyups and dunks don't connect.
I also hate the way the freestyle is it is so difficult to move you mine as well stuck with the one button crossover. I hate to say this but espn beat you guys this year. the graphics are ten times better it looks like your watching a real game. and they have way more mode maybe you guys should add the real 21 game like they did. and for the little kids they have gameslid option maybe you should add that in 2005. I have been getting every nba live every year since 95 for sega and still have every one beside 2004 because I took it back for espn. next year when I pay 53 dallors for 2005 it better be way better or you will loose one of your greates customers

I got this game for the gamecube and the lasy NBA LIVE I had was the 2001 edition on ps1. That was quite good for its time so i expected this game to be amazing.I was wrong. It is good but it's not really improved. Infact I hate the fact that it's really hard to rebound cause once you shoot your player stands still. The contact in air moves are really annoying and unrealistic. When I'm playing I always miss 3-pointers but the other team alwasy get them in and when i switch teams I miss and I know there's a technique to shooting 3's but I don't know what it is. GOOD TO HAVE LEBRON JAMES AND CARMELO ANTHONY IN THERE, But i think LeBron James is much beeter in real life than he is on NBA LIVE 2004. I like the PA announcer idea but perhaps in future both home and away temas should be introduced by the PA announcer instead of just the home team. The crows should be louder and there are too few camera angles. One more thing.....I love slam dunk contests and 3-point shootout's but there aren't n e in this game! Whas up wit that?

Well I think that it is great but Ea sports really should have a 3point contest and slam dunk contest using the freestyle control, the R1, L1 ,X,O,SQAURE AND TRIANGLE BUTTON so that it could be more realistic and it should depend on what the player did so far in the dynasty. But other wise the game is fun I could sit down and play it all day. The game is way better than any other basketball game that isn't EA sports. So I would buy any EA sports game any day. The game is so realistic to me. But just for the record I think that you should also add 3point and slam dunk contests to March Madness 2005. I dont know why you have a roundball classic and not a Mcdonalds All American game slam dunk and 3point contests all of the can get a large amount of money from just those two games

I feel this was way better then '03, like everyone else said. THIS GAMES NEEDS A DUNK CONTEST, AND A 3- point CONTEST, if live '00 can have a 3-point contest, so can any other one. This game seems to have to many glitches to me. And y come they can't make the created player name be said, (like on nba 2k2 ON DREAMCAST!!) Whats the whole purpose of the jerseys and practice gear if u can't put them on nobody. And y come u can't put the shoes on regular players in Exibition mode. I love this game and could play it 1,000 times. But i could find 1,000 things wrong with the game too.

NBA Live 2004 Could be worked on but it completely knocks ESPN Basketball out of the box for the following reasons:
The Dunks-NBA Live 04' Dunks are great and they look real. ESPN Basketball dunks look like NBA JAM Dunks cause they stay in the air for too long.
The Gameplay-EA has out-done themselves with their EA Freestyle Crossovers. That is far better than ESPN's IsoMotion because you can on go a certain direction and that mostly lead to a charge which is really retarded.
But here's what they can fix:
-You should not only be allowed to put Headbands on your created player.
You Should be able to hear you name on the PA and Commentary.
-Make some adjustments to the all-star weekend. Sega hasn't put a 3-point contest on their title but what happen to NBA live's?
You should also make a Dunk Competetion. Can't EA think like a Dunk Competition using the EA Freestyle? Also, add more shoes and create-a-team option.
I like Live 04' But To be Honest, When sega made NBA2k1,2,3, I would by them first. Now that Nba Live 04' is better than Sega Sports Titles, I'll Continue to Buy them. Great Job EA.

Nba Livw is a Great Game. But, There are a few Things Missing. As People Said there should be some Major Adjustments. Such As:
1.The Graphics-The Graphics on this game were good, not great. When I go up for a dunk or Lay-up Sometimes I go through the hoop. So do the ball. I like the dunks but the there should be more lay-up than the few you have. Add more Variety in the lay-ups!
2.Customization-You Should Be able to put Headbands on whoever you want. Also, when I Create a player, I would like to hear the name on the PA and on the commentary. And the Shoes, Great job. Add More Next Year!!
3.Game Mode Adjustments-I like the way EA has the Crowd. Like the Exibition games. They're are empty seats in the arena . But in the Playoff games, they're packed!!! Great touch! But I would've loved to play a 3-Point Shootout or a Dunk Contest. That would've been Great.
-NBA Live 2004 is a great game. Far Better than ESPN Basketball.
I mean MY GOD!! They look like the were trying to out-do themselves. The Dunks Look like the were tryin to be do NBA JAM dunks.

'04 was a great game. The dynasty mode is getting better and better every year. They could make it to where you can use your dynasty rosters on exhibition though. It is also a lot more realistic than Live 2003. It is not as easy to drive in and dunk it on someone. Now you have to work your way in to score inside. It had a few things that could have been improved tho. 3pt and dunk contests would be great. AND WHEN IS EA GOING TO PUT BARKLEY ON THE '90s TEAM?! Besides that and face models, this was an awesome game.

nba live 2004 has great gameplay, although it was missing a few things like behind the back passes. i think you should be able to control what kind of pass the player does during gameplay it would definitly add to the higlight reel (for the playmakers out there). the graphics were ok but i liked the 2003's graphics much better. i also miss the cut sequences in between plays, i thought it was a great addition in 2003, it made you feel as if you were in the game. i have to say winning the championship wasn't exciting at all, where's all the cheering and lights and the presentation of the trophy ?
i enjoyed seeing david stern in 2003 ! the last thing i found annoying was create a player , its usually pretty good in nba live games but in 2004 once you create a player they all look the same on the court and their heads look too big during gameplay. but overall 2004 was a good game. if you could only have espn basketballs graphics and 2004's gameplay it would be a perfect basketball game.

Of course it's bettter than the last nba's but first, like everyone said Rookie and Sophomore match and Slam Dunk contest and 3point contest but with the names of new players is not good because there's a program that changes your voice and they can do that. And about the Magazine thing they need to put pages on the inside but it's still cool. I thought the graphics are pretty good and in Madden you don't really see the players except after the downs,kicks, or touchdowns so I don't think the graphics in Madden are better. And there needs to be an option to make leagues and playbooks(Yes, I'm talking about NBA, not Madden.

NBA Live 2004 is a very nice game compared to all of the other nba live games in the past. I like the pro hop feature because it adds a new attack to the offense if used correctly. The shoes and Jerseys are a nice touch to. But, as far as the graphics and game modes, it could use some work. I dislike this game because there is nothing in it that make people want to play it more an more. There are no classic tems like the Bulls championship teams or the classic Boston Celtics teams with Bill Russel. There are no 3-point contest or dunk contest. The players should have their onw moves on the game, for example all of Jordans moves on certain spot on the floor. Or,make a move list to choose from. this game could really use technical fouls to. This is why I give this game A 8 out of 10.

NBA LIVE 2004 was an ok game but could have been a lot better! The graphics sucked, not realistic play, not realistic commentary and overall it planned sucked! NBA LIVE 2003 was way better! NBA LIVE 2005 should fix all this but for commentary keep Marv Albert but add someone else who is good like a former b-ball player I hate to say this Charles Barkley. And for All Star Weekend or whenever something special have special commentators. I hope this NBA LIVE 2005 WILL BE WAY GOOD I BOUGHT NBA LIVE 2004 AND I HAD TO SELL IT!

Hey 2004 is tight but 2003 grahics of the people is better.I like the real hair look more features to the face and everything but the game is off it.Its tight I love it.The shoe idea was hot to.I just wish the crowd look more real and add more to it like scene in between the plays or watever.Just put the players more into the game thats all.But your doing a good job.Also the coach's and the players on the sideline add them more to the game were sometimes we can play with them.I know your like you just need to go play some real ball man if you going to do it lets do it good.Cause MADDEN IS BEATIN LIVE.y'all put to much into that game lol bye

I found nba live 2004 to be an excellent game, however, the graphics are a little shaky. I dunno if ea sports focuses more on madden or whatever, but compared to the graphics of madden nba live is definately not as good. The music in the game was terrible, it was all rap!! c'mon add a little alternative or something, not everyone in this world likes rap. the game play is excellent! i like the freestyle effect for dribbling and what not. it really gives the game a little spice and makes it that much better. the game did have many enjoyable and helpful features. i especially like the tutorial modes. for those who are new to the game it does really help u to figure out how to use most of the features. the store feature is quite nice as well, but u dont get enough points to buy things so maybe that could be improved upon. dynasty mode is excellent, i just dont like that u can lose stat points when u do training sessions, ur supposed to get better not worse. and the last thing i have to say is, ALL STAR WEEKEND. the slam dunk contest and the 3point shootout are what make allstar weekend fun, so in 2005 they should add that, improve upon the graphics a bit, and add better music, and the game will be excellent
