I REALLY LOVED THIS GAME but... |
| Andrew C. from United Kingdom, Whitehaven says (31/Dec/2003): |
I first played this game at my friends, i thought it was proper awesome so i decided to buy it. The deeper i got into the game the more fun comes. Like unlocking karts. I really think that the graphics are quality.I like the way where 2 people can team up and work as a pair to win the game. I was gonna give this game 10 points but i gave it 8 because i think they can improve this game by adding more tracks/courses into the game and make the battle courses bigger and more complicated but this game is still AWESOMLY COOL!!!!!!!

Mario Kart is the best racing game ever!!!!!!!! |
| Aldo from California, USA says (2/Jan/2004): |
Although this game is alot like the others its a much better gam than the others because it has better graphics twice as many characters and tons of new items and surprises I give it a ten out of ten and recomend to buy this game! there are a bumch short cuts just look closely at the sides of the tracks and if you see a passage go for it and don't trie to beat 150cc on
co-op mode because it just makes it harder instead do two players in separet cars to get rid of one computer player and don't attack each other good luck!

One Problem |
| A gamer from Dayton, Ohio U.S says (26/Mar/2004): |
I LOVED THE GAME!!! The graphics were good, it's an improvement over the N64 version(which I don't know how that's possible:) )
But to me, there was one problem: TO ME, the game was a little too short.......I know some of you fans and die-hard fans will most likely say thats not true, but it to me. I know there are bonus things such as carts, extra cups and 3 difficulty levels, but still.Yet I do think it's a little too short, I still recommend this game to anyone!!! It's not my favorite, but it's a very good game!!!:)

Not As Good As F-Zero GX! |
| Chris Alexandre from Jersey says (23/Feb/2004): |
An ideal game for Mario freaks like me and some other people. I've experienced the Mario Kart games ever since I was a young child. Mario Kart: Double Dash is a good game to play, but to myself I prefer the game F-Zero GX for Gamecube as on F-Zero GX you can save and watch your replay's and do loads on F-Zero GX and their is nothing much in Mario Kart: Double Dash. Overall, this is not such a bad game but I belive that the director could have done a little bit more to make this game top of the list in some game shops.

what are all you thinking??? |
| Lori S from Layton, Utah says (17/Jan/2004): |
What kind of people complain about this game? Its great! Matt J said it was a waste, and not as good as the original just a repeat. But if it were going to be entirly new it wouldn't be named Mario Kart! Duh! Being able to pick your kart is the best new feature on this game. And know you can hold two items at once, not to mention the characters specials (Baby mario and Baby luigi's special is my personal favorite) All around great game. If you love racing, go out and get this game, you'll love it!!!!!!!!!

Great Freaking Game |
| BAaron says (23/Nov/2003): |
game is ten times better than any of the last ones. everyone should play this. it is a great game that involves many different tracks and riders and karts and tricky tricky tricky courses. the most fun abou the game is that you can't stop playing it. it is so addicting that i didn't eat for 2 and 4 weeks and man. o man..well, i hope everyone enjoys this great speacial fun of a time with twists curves loops trains snow ice monkeys. look out for i t a . but whatever you do. buy this game
|
All in all it's pretty good! |
| Maddster from Arkansas, USA says (28/Dec/2003): |
MK:Double Dash is got its down side of things. But all in all its awsome. The Bomb-omb mode is really cool! My favorite place is Rainbow Road, but I hate Wario's Collseuum or whatever. DK Mountian is the funnest track ever! The tracks seem a lot more strategical then the ones in N64. I think that if you get a gold cup in one of the races you can open up Luigi's Mansion for battle mode. I'm working on opening up new stuff. I know lots of specials and secrets, so e-mail me if you need some help.

MARIO KART ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
| paul from bend, oregon, usa says (2/Mar/2006): |
this game was awesome everyone should get a gamecube and play it! i found a shortcut on bowsers castle when the head shoots firballs on the sharp turn go straight and turn when u land on the other side. me and my bro do it everytime it really works. it's kinda hard to get the goldkart and i always use baby luigi and toadette.play it now 7 out of 10 would be a good rating too if you make one and rate it. thats what i did. i play all the time and recomend you buy it. only for nintendo gamecube
|
Where are the shortcuts? |
| A gamer from FL says (11/Jan/2004): |
This game is alright but definately not as fun as MarioKart64! I mean where are the shortcuts and all the fun tracks? This doesnt have all the tracks that n64 had!! N64 was way better than this one!!I thought it was gonna be like the it when I bought it but I was really disappointed in it. I dont like the game that much. But I know that the graphics are prolly a lil better than n64 but thats about it! So the value of the game is not really worth it to me... but thats only my opinion!!

I beat it but still play |
| Pikachu [Jesse Jacob Yensick] from Brownsville,Pensylvania USA says (2/May/2005): |
This is a easy game at start, but it gets harder after a while. Belive me I played E,T and M but its a suuuuuuuuuuuuuper MARIO Kart game!!! When I beat it I was 6 now I am 8 at the end when YOU beat it u [you] get the cart [KART] u're in when you beat a cup in 1st. It's a super great game! I liked it and still play it! Its super funny! Mostly I play as: Mario and Luigi also the babys and Toad and Toadtee! I get unhappy some times. But laugh its very funny!

Challenging and an excellent multiplayer game! |
| CyberSterk from Norway says (18/Nov/2003): |
Double Dash is the game I've enjoyed the most since the SNES version. The 2-on-1 kart consept has taken the game to a new height (if possible). 2-player GrandPrix is the one thing I've missed the most on MarioKart64, so I'm glad they decided to bring it to the GameCube. Single player has lots of challenge and fun, and multiplayer will get you on your toes. This is a game which will be remembered!
|
Buy this game! |
| Jibz from London, England says (16/Nov/2003): |
If your looking for a great multiplayer game which offers hours of quality entertainment for you and your friends, Mario Kart: Double Dash is the game for you! Unlike previous versions of the game, players have two people per kart, one peron driving and one person throwing the weapons. In my opinion, this is the best racing game ever and deserves a place in anyones collection!
|
A little let down |
| the dragon from Milwaukee, WI, USA says (26/Nov/2003): |
I think this game would have been a fairer buy at about 25.00 dollars, not 50.00. While the graphics are superb and the gameplay smooth and fast, with a good AI, I think that it is not worth the cost for single person play - there are only 3 zones with 4 maops each - not even a bonus level after finishing the first 3 levels like past games.
Fun, but a rip off at the price.

Mario is back! Fantastic! |
| Seventhson from Winchester, England says (15/Nov/2003): |
It's been a long time coming but Mario and his kart have made its way on the 'Cube. This time, however, you have a racing partner! All the old weapons are here and the gameplay has moved away from the N64 version in favour of the SNES style. The graphics are typically Nintendo, bright, colorful and functional and the sound is top notch.
Buy this!
|
The old game with better graphics |
| Indolent from South Florida says (19/Nov/2003): |
Awsome! i felt like i was 12 again playing the old version on my SuperNES...
They kept the game play and the frustration level down, like the origional and just enhancesd the graphics.
The only thing i do not like is that there are not many levels.. they could have fit at least 100 on the DVD..
Replay value is at the top.
|
Double Fun! |
| James McLelland from Jersey says (17/Nov/2003): |
Mario Kart is back on the Gamecube! Instead of having your own kart, you get 2 people. If you have 4 four people who drives in 2 karts, a 5 to 8 player game will include two Gamecube consoles with broadband adapters and 2 TVs. If you think you played any other Mario Kart games, buy this!
