I Think This Game is Best Compared To All The Others. |

This game has its good points and its bad points. The whole plot in Mari Party 5 is that you are in a world of childrens dreams. In story mode, bowser is (As always) trying to cause trouble and make them nightmares.In all the other mario parties there was a very repeatitive plot and the story mode tended to get very boring. Sadly, I also think the same for Mario Party five. The plot repeats itself and there is only an easy goal. The reason why I decided to give this an 8 though, was because of all the new and interesting games, features, and boards. The game is much more interactive and it move along much faster. In story mode, the games are very repetitive, and it still tends to get boring, but there are many other modes that you can choose to play in. There is now a Card mode, where the board is hidden under cards you have to flip over. There is also a battle mode where you can create and drive your own car and battle friends, or computer players. Although the game has some very boring aspects to it, all of the new things account for it. Such as the fact that there is no more items. Items, in my mind were a pain, and also having to watch the computer players buy them was a pain. Now there is capsule machines where you get a free capsule every time you pass one and you can place it on a square. Stars are very easy to aquire which makes the game fun and easy. The game doesnt give you a headache or even make you stressed anymore. All in all, I really love this game. There could have been a wider selection of characters, but this is fine enough. And the fact that Donkey Kong is nice to you and helps you out is the BEST! Some of these new ideas are great. The graphics are much better, lifelike, and smoother, the sound is crisp and accurate to the expressions on peoples faces, and all and all, this is the most original mario party created. Well, if you really want to know more about the game, I suggest you buy it! It is well worth the money!

I got Mario Party 5 on Friday. I lucked out, I don't know how, but I preordered and they called me and told me to come pick it up. I have been waiting for this game for months. I preordered it in June. It started out pretty confusing and seemed too hectic, but after playing a few games.. There is even more competitive action than there was before. There are all new minigames.. Aloto f them are similar to the ones from before. The only negative I have seen so far, is that there are alot of mini games that take no skill to win, its all luck. But other than that, all the new features are great. No more items, now you use capsules. The capsules do alot of different things and you can use them as you used to use items, or throw them to spot on the board an dhave someone get stuck on it. Great game.. new players. The Story mode is completely different. andm uch better I think because it doesnt take an hour to play a game, and its not identical to playing the party mode. You are tring to get the coins away from the 3 koopa kids. If you get them, you win, if they get yours first, you loose.. OVerall, GREAT GAME!!!

Mario Party 5 is a great game, but like any other game, it has its downside. I will list the pros and cons of this game in a non-essay form (who would read it if it was an essay?)
I'll start with the pros. The mini-games are all new. A lot of them require tapping A as quickly as possible (which is sooo easy) The boards (maps) are also all new, and are laid out very well. The graphics and the sounds are great. Wario even speaks German! (what is Wario, a German?)There are also some new added characters. The teams even have names! Mushroom Stinkers (Toad and Wario) are the best team!
Now for the cons. DK (DG) is not a playable character!!!! I found this out while I was in Kmart playing the demo waiting for my girlfriend to get out of school. I almost cried when he wasn't there. ( I was DG ever since MP1) I'm just glad that at least he is still in the game. If you land on his spot, he will either give you coins, or even a star! (He is such a generous fellow) Other than that, this game is great!
So go out and buy it for hours and hours of heartache and fun!

Sound: Well, all the songs in the game sound the same...meh, the characters voices weren't bad though.6
Gameplay: you will see your GameCube Handle on fire after atleast playing 10 Minigames, none stop botton-pushing fun!10
Originallity: Well, Many other Party games were created before Mario Party 5, But for a Party game...It's pretty original I guess.8
Plot: Party Games don't usually have a plot, but the story mode of the game does...not a bad plot, but not that good as well.5
Characters:um...Mario Characters!, deserve to be loved!.10
Time: The story mode is pretty short, but you will have a long time trying to unlock all the Mini games!9
Idea:Well, Mario Party games are not the best thing Nintendo can make featuring Mario, They should stop making them for a while and make more Action Mario games.7
Addictation: Yeah, You may get addicted to it, Even though I didn't 7
My thoughts after closing the game: Wow, That game is really good, But I played better.8

This game is so cool. I got it and have had so much fun. there are so many mini games that i never get bored playing them. Plus, there are lots of characters you choose to play as which makes it fun as well. The sounds & graphics are great, really clear & colorful. I like how you can get lots of different types of capsules and how you can use them on yourself or place them on the board and make more fun spots to land on. This game has alot of little extra things, like story mode, party mode, mini game mode. Its fun to play with others or even by yourself. My only complaint about this game is that i wish there was more boards to play on and that they were a little bigger. Because some of the time when someone would get to the star and buy it, the new star would appear really close. But all things considered, sound, graphics, game play, re playabilty, this gaem is good and I would say that anyone who has enjoyed the older Mario Party games should check this one out.

The mini-games are great, BUT the fact they replaced the items and the item shop with some weird capsules; it completely ruined the entire game. The problem with the capsules is that the player cannot choose which type of effect to have on the capsules because the machine gives it to you randomly; when there were items; the player was capable of choosing what to buy. Also capsules are placed on any desired block; whoever passes of falls into this block is affected with the capsule’s special effect. When there where items, I didn’t have to wait until someone passed or felt onto one of my blocks, I could of used the effect whenever I desired, like the Reverse Mushroom, which would reversed the desired opponents steps for the next turn, or like the Magic Lamp, which would of have taken me directly to the buyable star. I rather play Mario Party 2, 3 or 4 that does contain many useable items!!!

I thought this was a great new game for the Mario Party Line. The one thing I have a problem with is that the Super duel Mode with the machines is so cheap I had a huge fit over it. Also the new boards are too small and the stars usu. don't show up in a far away spot than where you just got it. Take the undersea world for example: If you get a star in the upperleft part of the board, unless you have like, a one left, then you'll get another star. But my favorite is the beach Volleyball. Sure you don't have the DOA babes but it's fun nonetheless.The graphics are good and gameplay is very interactive. But the game just doesn't last long enough to really grab my attention. At least in Mario Party 1&2 you had to buy the free minigames, that's what made you play it. My biggest problem is.. WHAT HAPPENED TO "SHYGUY SAYS"??!! But it's a buy! ;)

this game is the greatest for children and adults... there is several reasons why,,,, one is everyone can play together i feel that childern do not spend enough time with thier parents these days and with this the kids and the parents can play something hip together.. and two it is good clean fun that i feel as a parent teaches our children to think a little and use thier hands for something besides getting into trouble. now the game is to be the best one that they have came out with besides the first one. i would really like to see that one come out again on a newer machine or a game with them all on it like a combo of some sort. but if you have big or small childern or if you like gaming then try it i know you will love it if you play like i do any where between 1 to 10 hours a day

i'm getting the game to day. but i wish that i can find cheats and codes for it. but the game looks like one of most best games in the world i love all the mario party games but the one mario party game that i cant find is mario party 3 i never played that yet becouse i could never find it i looked at block buster and at best buy but. i just cant find it but i'm playing part five now and its the best game on the hole planet and i'm not kiding at all i loovvee this game. i love it i love it i love it i love it but all i no is. if this was the only game on the planet i'd still be the most happyest guy on the hole planet. ok i'm done by the way my name is jesse archuleta and i'm 14 years old.well i'm happy to do the first review on this game. seya

After its 5th crappy installment with huge overpricing I begin to think you gamecube lovers are extremely stupid. I mean, come on, this game is exactly the same as the last FOUR titles. And you nintendiods are still lapping it up!
The graphics are as nintwndoey as usual! 3/10.
The sound is as gamecube pop fizz as usual. 1/10
The gameplay completely stupid nindendo bull. 2/10
Lifespan reeks of gamecube. 1/10
Fun factor is the only saving grace. 4/10
Originality LOL 0/10
Value is just blatent supidity! Premium price for a junk game!
Overall just plain unoriginal gamecube crap.

this game is really so called COOL!!!! i dont know what you other stupid people are saying that this game stinks but you know what? U GUYS STINK, STUPID, AND OLD GEEZERS!! the graphics in this game are much more better than most of the mario party games. i really love to play every mario party games that come out because i have every series of the mario party games!!! i dont really consider myself a mario fan but a luigi fan, but mario party games really rock and are so called totally fun! you should really get this game if you want to party all day and year long!

Mario Party 5 is one of the best games i have ever played.Everyone i know loves the game.There is a big improvment from Mario Party 4 one being the brand new super duel mode.In this mode players make thier own machines and battle it out in a wide range of arenas.The highlight of the game is party mode where you and three other people(either computer or human)battle on a board game style map.The objective is to collect the most stars in a certain amount of turns.This game never gets boring because of the wide range of mini games and all the styles of gameplay:)

I, for one, thought this game was alright, the first one is the best and you can hardly beat the first of a series of games and movies. The cast of characters for one wasn't all that great, I did like the fact you could play as toad, toad is my favorite, but come one daisy? She is one of those players that you really dislike, ALOT! But she is one of those characters nintendo came up with and I guess she should be recognized. But I didn't fully hate this game. it was fun, some of the games were a little weird, and some childish, but its a mario.

This game has great mini games and items in the party mode. The Super Duel Mode is really fun and pretty challenging. The bonus mode has excellent games, such as the ice hockey game. I may not have much to say, but this game is the best Mario game yet! The graphics are pretty good also. This game also has a great story mode with an ironic twist. This game also has classic characters, who are Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Daisy, Waluigi, Wario, DK, Toad, Boo, and Bowser Kid. All of their mini games except a few are extremely addicting.

Yeah, I like this Mario Party. I just cant beat the last stage in Story Mode =(. Its preety cool and the graphics and sound is ok. I like all the mini games, but some on them are a bit easy. Its only a 7 because its not the best game out there but its one of the tops. I hope i can beat this game. Its a really cool game and I think you should buy it. Its cool that they made more games for Mario. Well, I hope you enjoy it! =) have a great time playing and hopfully beating this game.

this game is very awsome the graphics look better and there are good mini games but when u start in party mode and select your board they are smaller and the stars get pretty close and when u get a star it goes like right behind u and story mode is hard but fun and there are new stuff to have on the boards cuz if u land on dk u can get free stuff from him like stars and coins this game is very good but i hope a mario party 6 comes out

Mairo should have finished while still in his prime, but seeing as he didden't he is now his games are out of style, and each time the new mario comes out the creators just look more silly and out of the times. Seeing as all modern day mascots (EG coco the monkey) try to be cool where as mairo is out of the time and that is shown by the poor crafts manship of this games creators

Mario Party 5 is the best I've played. Now that there is no item shop, you now get capsules. You still have to pay even though you use one on yourself. I'm just gonna carry on playing this until I get all Mini-games. Pity about Donkey Kong, though. He is not a playable character. If anyone likes any Mario Party games, but this one! All Super Nintendo players are back on it!
