If you are like me and think this game is a lot like the Zelda games forget it.It is not a bad game but it suer can be slow and boring at times.If your bright and 8 years and over you should be able to beat the game without and codes or cheats.I am not all that smart and I am half through it already and had it for only 5 days.It is fun don't get me wrong it is worth the big $$$$.
you don't realy need the strategy book to get through it.I got a prima Strategy book when I got the game.But I have not yet used it boy that was a wast of 15 bucks.So if you buy the game you realy do not need to get the book.But if you do have trouble you can always find help on the intrnet.So in my oppinon this game is realy fun but boring and slow at times and has a lot of mind puzzling games to help you get the many chest open.
You start out talking to a wizerd then you look for your walking cane wich is in the same are of the place you started at.Then you go looking for the pennys that fell out of your pocket you have a hole in it.and on your way you walk around talking to towns people and finding things for them.That about the only part of the game that is anything like Zelda games you talk to towns people and find stuff for them.Then you start out with finding your first weapond rocks yes that is right rokes.But as you go you pick up a Elvan sword and a ring that can make you invisabil for a short time.It does get boring at times and seem slow at times but it is well worth the 50 bucks you fork out for it.You can jump hang crouch hang slid and sneak. You can move blocks and hay blocks to get to out of reach places.the graphics are 100% great.the story line is good and the weaponds well not to many as of now I have rocks a ring and one sword.I am about half way through the game now.and as I said it is not realy hard it is chanllaging but not hard.Any bright 8 year old should be able to beat this game I am suer.It is worth buying for 50 bucks but it is ot like Zelda games at all but still lot fun to play.

i have recently bought the game and have beaten most of it really fast. some parts take a little time but if u set it down for a few hours then come back to it you find out the mistake pretty fast. i would recomend a guide just b/c i think having a guide can be fun because getting stuck for an hour can be a bummer and really boring. i bought this game hoping it was like zelda but it was not really taht sort of game to my disapointment. i found it kinda like a mario game where u go around collecting coins and such.... but it is fun when u fight goblins and that such. so i would recomend this game if you have bought all the others in stock.

I love the game. I bought it recently on sale and it was definitely worth it. My daughter fell in love with it right away (because its very much like Mario). Graphics are fairly good...love the musical score (very Celtic/Middle Earthish), and the story line is told in a very tasteful way. It has some hints of Zelda style game play but mostly leans toward the Mario Sunshine style of game where you pick up coins, perform small tasks for other characters in the game. I found that the fighting in the game is a little weak, (I am used to the style of the other LOTR games) but generally is a good buy.

The Hobbit is a fun problem solving game involving Bilbo Baggins (the muched loved uncle of frodo). In the game you can use devestating soward attacks with the all mighty STING, further through the game you recive stronger attacks, methril amour and the most used, and most healpful weapon of all THE RING with it you can weild the power and become invisible!.

I mean, you get to run around as a little hobbit, kill spiders, kill bad guys and other dudes! my bro likes it my sis likes it it rox! now, if i could only get this one Jedi game, and the other Lord of the Rings games...I am obsessed lol! but i cant get past that barrow whight king person....

The Hobbit has okay graphics,but its also really fun. It might be the best game in stock.The fun thing is you can have the ring and turn invisible an past by trolls.But you can get sting the sword.And you can get money and buy stuff.But its a really chalenging game. so thats all

i bought this game about 2 days ago and first feeling a bit reluctent to get it but now i have got it i really think its one of the best games ive played im 14 and ive played and completed loadz of games and i really just dont want this to end
