AMAZING | | A gamer from who cares , whats it to ya? says (18/Jul/2004): | Alot of People find this game amazing an SO among them!Here are some tips for healthy animals and relationships: To get golden wool wash and brush your sheep EVERY day. To wash the sheep push it over to the water in the pasture and get your brush out and press the Y button. Keep your female cows VERY healthy. they are the biggest money-making animals because they can be milked twice a day. if you keep your first cow healthy you will get a horse for free during the summer. If you're going to buy another cow at the very begining I suggest a female. if you keep a male and female cow in the barn the girl can have a calf. The cow then stops giving milk 40 days after the calf is born so be careful... If you get a chicken it can go out in the pasture also and 1 chicken feed can last 1 chicken almost a season. note: when you ring the bell for all the animals to go outside. You have to carry the chicken outside because it doess not listen to the bell. Healthy chickens lay and egg a day. There are 10-11 days in a season. Cut all the grass in the pasture, (dont worry all the animals will still eat)Then do your buissness and then cut all the grass the next day too. Do this 2-3 days before van comes and sets up his shop, then put 99 pieces of fodder in your rucksack. Van will buy EVERY THING so give him the 99 pieces of fodder for 990 G. Case and point, Harvest moon:it's a wonderful life. Did they actually believe that limiting your possibilities was a good idea?! Having only the choice of three potential wives, smaller town, no more stores (except that dude who sells like, ten things) and no more tool upgrades (oh what am I saying, who needs upgrades when you couldn't cut down a tree or smash a rock to save your life!?) It took me half the day to water my garden and then the other half to water them again! Knowing I'll never obtain a sprinkler only depressed me into turning off the game. The cows, lovely creatures, sound like chubaka after a couple months of milking. I feel like frying hamburgers every time good ol' Besse yells at me. Empregnating them takes forever and then you have to sell the calf depressing Besse into more demon-state obliviousness. Oh and braavo to whoever decided one festival a year would be fun! And what is that festival? Go to the bar and talk to people, I don't even know what I'm celebrating and I could do that any time!!
I must say, the graphics are beautiful, amazing in fact. But I would rather it look like the 64 version and be good. I do enjoy the new cooking concept, but without vegetables it ain't that good... it would be much more enjoyable if you could just get a sprinkler!
| One of the BEST Games EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | | A gamer from New York says (24/Mar/2004): | I got Harvest Moon A Wonderful Life the day it came out in stores (in the U.S.A that is) and I tell it is one of the BEST Harvest Moon games and one of the BEST GAMES I have ever played. My brother married Celia and I married Muffy. In my opinion Nami is the hardest to get, Celia is the second hardest, and Muffy is the easiestto get to marry you. Me and my brother both have baby boys who will age along with our characters. I have a barn full of animals and alot of Chickens and Roosters. I still want to know how to get a Duck? Oh and how do you get that locked shack by the Big Field open? Here is some pointers. The two smaller fields on each side of the Chicken Coop are best for trees (you can buy the seeds at Vestas farm) and the big field is best for regular plants. If you want to wash your cows, bulls, sheep, Goat (you can get a goat from Van the salesman after your married), and etc you need to have them by the lonf water filled thing in the pasture, then get out your brush and the y button should say wash. Oh and feed your Dog every day. I don't want to tell you everything cause I think you should figure the rest out yourself. If you don't have this Game and you are reading this than GO BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It has GREAT grafics and is REALY realistic!
| She's Irresponsible, but I Love Her | | A gamer says (15/Jan/2005): | I recently married Nami and had a boy (whom I named Zeke). NAMI IS THE BEST GIRL TO MARRY. She is the hardest to get, but Natsume made her that way because she's the best. But one night, she was very irresponsible. Zeke was asleep and Nami went outside so I left Zeke alone (I know that was irresponsible of ME.)and went to follow her. First she went to Romana's (her favorite hangout)and then she went to: THE BAR! My wife left our boy alone at 10 o'clock, to get DRUNK!!!! So I ran back, went to sleep, and the end. This game is THE BEST. The animals and sounds are very realistic. The people also look very real with their shadows and all (my problem with Animal Crossing.). The days are really cool and short, so you don't need to turn it off, change the clock,and then go back (another problem with animal crossing.). It kind of prepares you for real life, with dating, getting food, staying healthy, getting married, and even having a child. The children can grow up and even rebel against you. They can choose their own career path. Not to scare anyone, but I read on this other site that if you don't hold your boy a lot when he's a toddler, then when he's older, he'll run away on that boat on the beach. I've tried leaving them outside, and leaving them in the chicken coop and putting them outside in good weather then putiing them in the chicken coop in bad weather but NOTHING WORKS!!! Does this game hate me or what??? Oh, yeah, does the sealed hut become something really interesting or important cause it's really bugging me. OH WELL...
Yyeah, my review, i havnt playd any of the other games so i cnt compare it but it is my all time favourite game and if it really is true about the girl version, that's even better! but getting my dad 2 buy me it will be hard. i thought that the graphics wouldnt be so good cause i didnt rent it begore i bought it so i dint know but they actually are really good!
i like all the different tunes for the different events and buildings, I tried playing it with the record player switched off and it's just not right.
The only reason I'm giving it 9 is cause nothing's perfect and there are some things that aren't quite as good as they could be. There's one annoying thing in particular, whenever I stop then carry on walking my character (Beegee) does a double stepp so when I'm going back and forth with fodder in the barn it really does bug me.

I'm a girl, but even though some people might think it's dumb/boring, they couldn't be further from the truth! Okay, so here are a few tips:
~Do NOT propose to Nami unless you know for sure she has four hearts; otherwise she'll hate you for a while.
~All you have to do to get Golden Wool is love on your sheep once in a while, and make sure you wash it before you shear it.
~To get other options for cooking, you need to cook a lot. Eventually, you'll get hors d'oeuvres, desserts, and entrees.
~You can, in the 2nd year, see Nina's ghost if you go to her grave at about six-thirty in the morning. Talk to Galen and he will ask you if you want to wash Nina's gravestone. Say yes, and when you're done, the ghost shall appear!
~To get the talking plant, you must be friends with Takakura. Enter his house in the second year from about 5:00 to 10:00 in the morning, or whenever you know Takakura's in. You should get the talking plant then.
~You can get your son in trouble by bringing him off the farm before his bedtime(9:00) and not getting him back in time.
~Don't get any other animals before the 2nd chapter; it's kinda a waste of time.

I first saw it at BlockBuster and I wanted to try it cause it had a horse on the back (I am a TOTAL horse freak) so i rented it. It was only 3 days though! I played it NON stop! REALLY! I loved it SO much! So I rented it again! My mom got tired of renting it SO many times she bought it for me!!! I LOVE IT!! First Off the Graphics ROCK!! Also there is SO much to do!If you havent played this game you would probally think WHY is watering plants and feeding animals would be SO intersting! Well theres WAY more to it! You can get married (have special sceens with each girl i might add) have a kid in which YOU infulence how to grow up and what they will do and what they are intersted in! You can make friends and have special sceens with them too! You can do SO much! And people actually age and die to. Its SO real! Well I HOPE you will go out and TRY this game!! Its GREAT! But there should be a warining on the box 'WARNING: This game causes GREAT addiction'

Well I should be talking about cheats one way to get loads of money is to take care of your animals like brushing them washing them and loving them so your cow will give u grade A milk so you can get 750G, well for the sheep it will give u golden wool worth 600g if u wash it and love it now fertilized eggs r worth more money then regular eggs all u need is a rooster and a hen, ok people say their cow doesnt give any more milk well in the second chapter van will be selling a goat get that cus their milk is worth more money then cows milk! your horse will go longer 4 riding if u just take care of it:) To get money from crops u dont have to sell them get a seed maker put in fruit like bananas get 15 of them put them in da seed maker then sell the seeds to Van for 22,500g. To get the seed maker for free be friends with Daryl and he'll give it 2 u for free!

| An absoulutely awesum game. | | Claire from Haddon Heights, USA says (19/Mar/2005): | Oh my friggin gosh. The second i saw this game at the store i was like YES! A GAME WORTH MY MONEY! Definately an absolute. This was the first havest moon i got,but already after seeing the others i definately knew this was the best so far. I love how you get to pick your own wife and have an ADORABLE kid. So far i have only married Nami and Celia, cause they are so cool. Both kids are extremely cute and nice. Then theres the cows, the chickens, HORSE WHICH IS I THINK THE BEST ANIMAL YOU CAN GET,and duckies, goats(friggin thing stopped giving me milk and i cant sell it...) a doggie, and some other coolio stuff like cats and lizards and sheep. I love this game so much i definately reccomend buying this game. its worth your hard earned cash. After playing it non stop for about 3 weeks i got to a point where it bored me just a little, and i stopped playing for a bit. But then during one of your really boring school subjects it pops back into your head and you wanna play it another 3 weeks straight. which i did. and still am. I would totally give it a couple thumbs up. When you want a break from the hard life of kicking butt in Zelda and Halo, reach for harvest moon. I guarantee you wont be bored.

I love this game for so many reasons! My favorite, is that there's chapters to your life, and they just keep on getting more and more fascinating! Another thing is, this game will not last about six days until you pass it, this game will last a long (but an enjoyable) time! Another thing? You can raise your kids! This isn't like the other Harvest Moon games where you marry and it's over. Your kids can take over! But another great thing --- different things happen! For example, theres a mad scientist in town, he may either be spying on you or trying to trap something, so it's all different! And, three different potential brides! Nami (hardest), Celia (medium leveled), and Muffy (easiest) I married Nami in one file and Celia in the other, and I'll tell you now, Nami isn't easy!
If you don't have this game get it! My friend got this and when I went to her house I was all like "Having a blast delievering that milk to storage?" But when I got it, it was just so much fun I can't explain!

I haven't played the other games so I can't compare them, but this game is my fave game right now. You get a bunch of farm animals a wife and even a kid!! This game has an actual life line that last thirty years and then you die. Sad no? you can marry a farmy girl (Celia), a flirty girl (Muffy), or a tom boyish girl (Nami). Nami is my fave and I married her. You can influence your kid by the type of friends you have!! I try to give him dairy because I want him to be a dairy farmer and he says He loves it. He says plants are intresting. You can have trees and if you have the banana tree and a seed maker you should put bananas in it, take the seeds and sell them!! You get a lot of money for it! (this is not a cheat if your some one that hates cheating, I dont like to cheat). I'm on year six and am waiting to see when the kid will start helping on the farm, the farm is alot of hard work. The graphics are great all though they arent as good as some games, but they still rock my boat. One thing I dislike is that the ducks dont lay eggs. The chickens lay eggs for them. My sister also has AWL (A Wonderful Life), but shes not that far yet!!

You cant goof off or else you are gonna pay for it! You get to buy and milk cows (different kinds) and you get a horse, sheep and a goat!!! You can have ducks also. I am so an animal lover so I todaly like the animal part. I like that you can have a whole family, a wife child, two dogs , cat, and a lisard! I thought it was the best. Just because of this game i went out and bought a gamecube and this game. The graphics are great, the music gets boring after a while. I was in my 2nd year and had 150,000 dollars. I was almost in my 3rd year but since i spent so much on the gamecube and game i could only buy a eight dollar memory card. It messed up after a week and i had to buy a new 1 and start over. Well, if you want to know how I got that much money i will tell you. You buy banana tree seeds ( I would say only 2 or 3.) If you buy more than that you will have way to many bananas. Make sure you have a seed maker. Plant the seeds in summer if you want them to be ready by next year. When the bananas start to fall put them in the seed maker. Each banana makes 2 seeds. Then you can sell each bag of seeds for like 1500 dollars each.In one summer each tree will make you about 30,000 dollars from the seeds. I just got the game so i'm only on my first summer. i already have Celia at 4 red hearts. I like the fact that you can ride your horse and you can choose which dog you want at the beginning(i got the pointy eared one). This time there is only 3 girls you can choose from but that's plenty. Harvest Moon 64 had 5 girls to marry. Celia and Muffy are easy to get but Nami is almost impossible. I'm surprised you cant marry Lumina but she's too young i guess, even though she has a crush on you. I can't find the blue feather. Nic, Nak, and Flak said they put it on my shelf but it's nowhere to be found. Once i find it i will propose to Celia. Could someone tell me where to find the blue feather. I would aprreciate it. Oh yeah and someone on this site from Tokyo said that they want to be able to pick if your boy or girl in Harvest Moon. I have good news for you. Natsume is remaking A Wonderful Life and Friends of Mineral town except you will be a girl instead of a guy. guess that means you will have to marry guys. Flowers won't work there.

The lifespan thing is a little strange, you don't age for the first 3 chapters.Nuntn' special with the sound. Its super-addictive, im on the 3rd chapter and ive only been playing for 2 weeks... oh by the way, cows stop giving milk 40 days after having a baby, for the folks who asked. also, Tartan appers if you walk in Takakura's house while he's in there during the 2nd chapter. Someone tell me, when can you race your horse? And why do the Grapes grow on a tree? I thought they grow on vines... and, is there anyone else in hyperspace that thinks there is something very wrong with Daryl? I know he's crazy, but trying to harness lightning? No. There is one more thing, WHATS IN THAT LOCKED BUILDING???? I ran my horse in to it, hit it with my hoe and sicle (well, at least ATTEMTED to), yet it still doesnt open! ok, i think thats all for now. oh ya. This game is cool.

BTN was great but Wow They made A truely Incredible game. I bought a gamecube just to play this 1 game.The graphics are great, the storyline is great.I don't thing they can make a better game. Several kinds of cows, Bulls,Roosters,Chickens,Goats, and I think you can get ducks, 2 dogs to choose from, A horse(really usefull when you need to do things quickly. You can plant fruit trees.This game is almost 100% percent like farming.You need to fertilize your fields. But at one part that Mad Scientist is looking in your house. He is crazy. I wan't to shoot him for that, but I can't... I
mean what kind of lame ass farmer dosen't own A shot gun. Anyway
i don't like the hame any less for that but man that guy is creepy.I had a kid before and I picked him up. My friend said man put him down he is getting ready to cry. | AWL is a good game in a lot of ways, but... | | Saichi from Philippines says (1/Feb/2006): | I have played the game until the end of winter season under "twilight" year 1 chapter where my character passed away. And I thought that the son will take over the farm, but instead after the display of credits were over, you will be asked if you want to save the game. If you choose yes, you will be given a second chance to do the things that you weren't able to do(if you hadn't done all what you're supposed to). You will now start spring, day 1 under "heaven" chapter and you'll come back younger again. For those who haven't reached this part yet, when winter season ends, you'd probably expect a cutscene for spring, day 1 as this is how the end of winter season shows. But there will be no cutscene. You go to sleep at winter, day 10 and wake up spring, day 1 and it will be year 2 already. I'm almost through with winter but there's still not much change and I haven't encountered any more cutscenes with the other townspeople. Never the less, I still look forward to the ending.

I haven't got this game yet, hell, I don't even have Gamecube yet, but I will be getting one. My mum promised me she would buy a game, this will be the game, and I have 185.50 dollars in my account, I'll use that to buy a Gamecube. I can't wait, right now I'm trying to beat Save the Homeland, which is somewhat boring in my opinion, but just from reading these reviews, I promise Natusume that I'll do anything to buy A WWonderful Life! From the sounds of it you can have a baby boy, which I'm going to name, Seto, and my main character i'm going to naem Ash, which is after me. Also it sounds like there is a HUGE selection between livestock and crops. Well done, Natsume, you just triggered my loving even more. You should be proud and never give up on these games, you truly did it this time. Everybody loves it, and they should. Enjoy, everybody.

| DA BEST GAME IN DA WORLD!!! | | Megami from San Diego, California, USA says (5/Apr/2004): | OMG!! I luv this game!!! I got it about a week after it came out in stores. The graphics r fantastic and soo realistic. I am a girl so i luv da way the character's hair is spikey. The only problem is that da music aint so great, like u dont have alot of choices besides summer and winter music. Another downside is that u acually have 2 wait 4 them dumb cows 2 wake up before u can do anything with them. U also can only have a boy but i'd like it better if u could have a gurl. And u can only have male sheep and i hate that. But other than dat, everything else is kewl. The characters r really cute especially the little babies. In my opinion, as babies, Nami's child is the cutest, then muffy's, then celia's. But wen the babies become adults, nami's kid is cutest, then celia's, then muffy's. 4 my character's wife, i'm choosing Nami, cuz i llluuuuvvv red head's!!!! Plus i like Nami's tough attitude.
