Some Tips and Comments | | Gaile from Down the Street From the Middle of Nowhere, USA says (18/Nov/2004): | My friend showed me this game, and I was instantly hooked! I'm a girl, but even though some people might think it's dumb/boring, they couldn't be further from the truth! Okay, so here are a few tips:
~Do NOT propose to Nami unless you know for sure she has four hearts; otherwise she'll hate you for a while.
~All you have to do to get Golden Wool is love on your sheep once in a while, and make sure you wash it before you shear it.
~To get other options for cooking, you need to cook a lot. Eventually, you'll get hors d'oeuvres, desserts, and entrees.
~You can, in the 2nd year, see Nina's ghost if you go to her grave at about six-thirty in the morning. Talk to Galen and he will ask you if you want to wash Nina's gravestone. Say yes, and when you're done, the ghost shall appear!
~To get the talking plant, you must be friends with Takakura. Enter his house in the second year from about 5:00 to 10:00 in the morning, or whenever you know Takakura's in. You should get the talking plant then.
~You can get your son in trouble by bringing him off the farm before his bedtime(9:00) and not getting him back in time.
~Don't get any other animals before the 2nd chapter; it's kinda a waste of time.

It doesnt resemble "real life" and what happens in real life,and if u actually payed attention,there are glitches and spelling errors in the game. And who wants a farm without pigs and geese??.. if ur gunna have a game with a farm u should at least have all the farm animals included with it. And some stuff about the game thats not realistic,the people in the town stand outside in the pouring rain...... "realistic" people dont do that. And also in the game,ive kept my animals out side all winter,summer,spring,and fall... and they havent gotten sick,real animals would. Yes i have had a cow or 2 get sick,but they havent died. And ive seen some people complain about the music and choices in girls... well... the people who created this game didnt really make the game to anyones likeing,or the music,they did it according to what the game is like and what kind of music would be appropriate. And the girls were a great selection,some girls r desperate and easy,some girls are just plain difficult,and some are sweet. Thats a great variety of girls. I admit,it does have great graphics and i love the affects and the water and the ocean and stuff.It is a great game,i enjoy plating it myself,i just think that it could be better,more realistic and more life like..... and the funny thing is,no one has yet been successfull to make a game that is really realistic. I think they should have meters in the corners telling the person if that character is hungry,has to go potty,needs to rest,is sick or not...etc etc. That would make it great. Harvest Moon is a good game,i just think they could do better :)

I love the way you can have all the animals to play with and your wife and kids but i wish that i could get more types odf animals. i have a bananna tree but it hasnt bloomed for like two chapters. I wish that the town would be bigger along with your farm. I wanted to get more horses bu ti dont think i can cuz i wanted a horse farm. What the heack is in that shed thing!!!! I want to know soooooooo bad. The graphics really kewl n so is da music. I wish that the old lady hadnt died cuz she was really nice n now her husband is all like bummed out all the time n hate everyone. I really hope they make a new one with a lot more things in it. Im getting HM STH for x-mas this year cuz i really like animals n im gunna see how that adds up to AWL.

I'm a girl so if you think it weird that I have a game where your a boy and have to marry a girl befor the first year is over, well think again! This game rocks out loud! I married Muffy But I really hate her (I don't like my son now eather 'cause he wants to be an artest and he won't let me hold him)I'm in the end of the 4th year and have a dog, a cat, a star cow, a normal cow, a marble cow, a hores, 5 chickens, a rooster, 2 ducks and a horse. If you're looking for a cool game then this is a cool game that last a real long time. I love it!

You cant goof off or else you are gonna pay for it! You get to buy and milk cows (different kinds) and you get a horse, sheep and a goat!!! You can have ducks also. I am so an animal lover so I todaly like the animal part. I like that you can have a whole family, a wife child, two dogs , cat, and a lisard! I recomend this game to everyone that has an intrest in life styles. To many that havent played this are missing out like crazy! If you are thinking of buying this you should. Well, as long as you dont have a big brother that beats it before you do and shows you what happends! !!!MAJOR SPOILER!!!
Well, the only thing I need to say is that DO NOT look < remove me > at any chat boards or anything having to do with this game because there are some surprize spoilers. Someone told me a bunch of spoilers and then I was all bummed out because the things they told me could of been such a surprize...:( But still it is still my fave game in the world! Like I said, buy it. Its worth it, like todaly!

It is to addictive to not play. And i love it. there is a lot of work to do but that just makes a more sureal experience if you like farming. It deserves a score of a PERFECT 10 out of 10. That is my favorite game and it always will be until there is a new better one....(IF) i will play it until i finish it, and cant seem to stop. I know it is my favorite game because i cant put the controller down. NOT LIKE I WANT TO THOUGH.

When I heard that it was coming out I quickly went to go find when it was coming out, It Constanly got pospond all the time I was about to go crazy because of that, but now that it is out I rented it right away, and I am plaining on buying it now. The price of the game is worth it, I think ALL of the Harvest Moon Games are worth the buy! This game is WAY better then Animal Crossing and the Monster Rancher Series on PS and PS2! Every one go out and buy it now!

I haven't got this game yet, hell, I don't even have Gamecube yet, but I will be getting one. My mum promised me she would buy a game, this will be the game, and I have 185.50 dollars in my account, I'll use that to buy a Gamecube. I can't wait, right now I'm trying to beat Save the Homeland, which is somewhat boring in my opinion, but just from reading these reviews, I promise Natusume that I'll do anything to buy A WWonderful Life! From the sounds of it you can have a baby boy, which I'm going to name, Seto, and my main character i'm going to naem Ash, which is after me. Also it sounds like there is a HUGE selection between livestock and crops. Well done, Natsume, you just triggered my loving even more. You should be proud and never give up on these games, you truly did it this time. Everybody loves it, and they should. Enjoy, everybody.

| Marrying the girl of your dreams | | Yingu from Wales/swansea says (1/Aug/2004): | Although you have to marry by the end of the year I think people would like to marry the girl of their choice.Celia the best one to marry in my opinion to marry her in summer in the first year simply give her a goddess moondrop everyday until summer first when the harvest spirtes find the blue feather go propose if her diary located in her bedroom has 4 hearts on she will say yes!.Muffy or Molly give her any flower a pretty ore or a Big Huechep found at the digging site river top only that she will not accept others. Nami give her artifacts and in the fall give her trick blue flowers although she is a bit busy with hippy dude.Hope you found this helpful

| AMAZING | | A gamer from who cares , whats it to ya? says (18/Jul/2004): | Alot of People find this game amazing an SO among them!Here are some tips for healthy animals and relationships: To get golden wool wash and brush your sheep EVERY day. To wash the sheep push it over to the water in the pasture and get your brush out and press the Y button. Keep your female cows VERY healthy. they are the biggest money-making animals because they can be milked twice a day. if you keep your first cow healthy you will get a horse for free during the summer. If you're going to buy another cow at the very begining I suggest a female. if you keep a male and female cow in the barn the girl can have a calf. The cow then stops giving milk 40 days after the calf is born so be careful... If you get a chicken it can go out in the pasture also and 1 chicken feed can last 1 chicken almost a season. note: when you ring the bell for all the animals to go outside. You have to carry the chicken outside because it doess not listen to the bell. Healthy chickens lay and egg a day. There are 10-11 days in a season. Cut all the grass in the pasture, (dont worry all the animals will still eat)Then do your buissness and then cut all the grass the next day too. Do this 2-3 days before van comes and sets up his shop, then put 99 pieces of fodder in your rucksack. Van will buy EVERY THING so give him the 99 pieces of fodder for 990 G. It has superb graphics that make the game seem like it real life. May I add that the graphics also make the children more adorable ^^? I am married to Nami and have a son who is a todler named Benny. I am in chapter two, lmost in chapter three. There are many events in this game along with a lunatic scientist *^. There are so many awesome qualities about the game that I could go on forever.
Why do I say that Nami is cheating on me? Simply, because she is. She goes everyday to Gustafa's hut and I find that highly suspiscious. ^^ lol.
I must admit, the music selection is low, but if you link up your game boy advance game, friends of mineral town, I am told you can get more music seletion.
I ad another file where I married Celia. She was a tad boring since I never saw her leave the house once so I started over and married Nami.
My sister has a file and has JUST proposed to Muffy. personlly, I think Muffy SUCKS with a capital S.
The biggest tip I can offer is to buy a banana seed and plant it. Than befriend Daryll (ad scientist) and get a seed maker from him. In the summer, gather up all your bananas and put them in the seed maker. Now you will have a bundle of seeds. PLants the seeds and sell the rest to Van for 750 a seed. I made over 30000 from one tree in one season by doing this. Now I have around twenty trees and Im not going to plant my seeds, just sell them and well...you do the math.
I hope you enjoy this game, it is VERY addictive. Well atleast to me it is. ^^

The graphics are among the best I've ever seen (and believe me, I've played ALOT of video games) The plot is Rich and it's the kind of game everyones wanted to play. The songs and such are very good though in the farm there's not much variety:(Personally I think that the fact that you have to get married and raise a family is a great idea. This beats Animal Crossing by a long shot but Animal Crossing WAS funnier.I think that this game Harvest Moon: It's a Wonderful Life is one of the top game cube games ever!

IT'S WORTH IT!!! it's such a great game! i LOVE the graphics and the story line! it's also interesting to watch all the young kids grow in the game, including the animals and your kid! it is a BIG MUST HAVE!!! i have played most of the HM games but... THIS ONE IS GREAT!!! i have reached the 3rd year of my game, and i am STILL having fun playing it everyday for long hours! basically, if you are going to play this game, you should ALSO play the other HM games, but THIS ONE is a MUST HAVE!

BTN was great but Wow They made A truely Incredible game. I bought a gamecube just to play this 1 game.The graphics are great, the storyline is great.I don't thing they can make a better game. Several kinds of cows, Bulls,Roosters,Chickens,Goats, and I think you can get ducks, 2 dogs to choose from, A horse(really usefull when you need to do things quickly. You can plant fruit trees.This game is almost 100% percent like farming.You need to fertilize your fields. But at one part that Mad Scientist is looking in your house. He is crazy. I wan't to shoot him for that, but I can't... I
mean what kind of lame ass farmer dosen't own A shot gun. Anyway
i don't like the hame any less for that but man that guy is creepy.I had a kid before and I picked him up. My friend said man put him down he is getting ready to cry. I pressed the wrong button and through him in the air. He got mad cried and ran inside.Then I really wanted a shotgun. Well I spent too long on here bye.

Celia(the best in my opinion) asks you on a date or a mad scientist tries to steal your cows. The graphics and music combined with their activity are to die for, to die for (seriously) and, i took ne look at the others and was bored but this made me a serious fan, pay the money, worth every penny and for £30.00 to grow crops, milk cows and pick your own wife by giving her fresh picked flowers that may be magic. One last comment, it is the best game ever!

I haven't played the other games so I can't compare them, but this game is my fave game right now. You get a bunch of farm animals a wife and even a kid!! This game has an actual life line that last thirty years and then you die. Sad no? you can marry a farmy girl (Celia), a flirty girl (Muffy), or a tom boyish girl (Nami). Nami is my fave and I married her. You can influence your kid by the type of friends you have!! I try to give him dairy because I want him to be a dairy farmer and he says He loves it. He says plants are intresting. You can have trees and if you have the banana tree and a seed maker you should put bananas in it, take the seeds and sell them!! You get a lot of money for it! (this is not a cheat if your some one that hates cheating, I dont like to cheat). I'm on year six and am waiting to see when the kid will start helping on the farm, the farm is alot of hard work. The graphics are great all though they arent as good as some games, but they still rock my boat. One thing I dislike is that the ducks dont lay eggs. The chickens lay eggs for them. My sister also has AWL (A Wonderful Life), but shes not that far yet!!

I NEED HELP, though! I don't know how to get past the second chapter! I've heard that you have to influenceyour son on what profession he will want by having the right friends. Is this true? The lifespan thing is a little strange, you don't age for the first 3 chapters.Nuntn' special with the sound. Its super-addictive, im on the 3rd chapter and ive only been playing for 2 weeks... oh by the way, cows stop giving milk 40 days after having a baby, for the folks who asked. also, Tartan appers if you walk in Takakura's house while he's in there during the 2nd chapter. Someone tell me, when can you race your horse? And why do the Grapes grow on a tree? I thought they grow on vines... and, is there anyone else in hyperspace that thinks there is something very wrong with Daryl? I know he's crazy, but trying to harness lightning? No. There is one more thing, WHATS IN THAT LOCKED BUILDING???? I ran my horse in to it, hit it with my hoe and sicle (well, at least ATTEMTED to), yet it still doesnt open! ok, i think thats all for now. oh ya. This game is cool.
