Beware of Animal Crossing45285

Dee from Jackson(MS), USA says (7/Sep/2005):
When I first heard of AC, i thought "not another simulation game" but this one is different. it has almost everything. after i read the ad for it in tips and tricks magazine, i thought to myself, i have to get this game. sadly, that was about 3 years ago and i just got the game in june. i'm glad i have it now.

first of all, you arrive in a town that you name yourself but you don't have a home or money to buy a home with. so you have to work for tom nook who gives you a home and lets you gradually pay it off. after you pay it off you can get it upgraded.

my favorite feature about this game is the real time. i like rushing to my gamecuve on holidays to try and see what mayor tortimer is gibing away. i recently celebrated labor day and got a model that commermorate tom nook's hard work.

you can also catch bugs, eat fruit, go fishing, collect fossils, decorate your home and the list goes on and on. i don't think animal crossing has too many flaws except for the fact that the only way you can have a bbq grill is if you keep it in your house. i also think it would be better if you could create your character like add facial features and why do you have to wear the same shoes all the time. but don't get me wrong, it's a GREAT game. i love it. i mean, i'm hooked. that's another problem. nintendo should stop making games that will make you want to play 24-7. SIKE!!!

i give this game a 10 and even xplay says it's a good game. and you know how tough those guys are on video games. well bye for now, i gotta go play animal crossing. can't wait for the DS version to come out!

Mark Sierra from Fostoria, Ohio, USA says (21/Jul/2005):
When i first played this game, i wuz at my friends house and ya know what......I GOT HOOKED ON IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! i mead, i just couldnt stop playing it. So like a year later i got it at gamestop. My brother said it would suck, but now he beggs me to let him play it. the graphics are okay, but the overall game makes up for it. i first started paying off my friend debt by getting fruits from other towns and selling them!! (How lame!) i then learned the cheat code for 30,000 bells. when i got my own memory card, i named it Markcity, and my mom keeps bugging me about it. what really rocks about this game is that its so simple. a little kid could play it and beat it in like 8 months. and it actually deserves an E rating. the content has nothing bad. no swear words, no sexual content and no violence. this game is perfect for little kids through aduts. and i think that people who hate corny kids games, (wich this game isn't) should give it a try. And if you don't like it, you can bite my < remove me > at $$ (sorry) because I like it.

Oh and if your wonering what the 30,000 bells cheat is, go to timmy, tommy or tom nook and select other things then SAY CODE and type in,
WB2&pARAcnOwnU
jMCK%hTk8JHyrT

but you can only do this 3 times so after you do it 3 times, go to your house save it quit it. sighn back on and do it 3 more times . Then repeat the whole process again and again and again as many times as you want.

I hope my information was helpfull if you have a problem with the code, e mail me at mjsierra3pkmn< remove me > at woh.rr.com

I deff agree with Amy Okamuro44827

A gamer from Columbus, Ohio United States says (9/Jun/2005):
I also think that Animal Crossing needs some stuff. Like being about to drive, shop more, work full time, AND MORE THAN ONE PERSON NEEDS TO BE ABLE TO PLAY AT THE SAME TIME! I get so bored talking to the *stupid* animals who live in my town. They don't know anything! And it makes me mad that I can't TALK to them. It's a controled conversation. I think that Animal Crossing should go online, (like Halo). And you could a city where other people could be in city at the same time as you. (But the specific town you live in should be private to your memory card, though the city is not, you can't have everyone who is playing all over the world being able to cut down and plant trees in your town!) But it would deffinetly be more fun if you could actually talk to other SMART people who are playing at the same time. It would make the game more interesting. I also think that you should be able to get hurt, and I don't mean just bee stings. I mean serious injury, and death. That would keep players interested and more cautious. Some players cheat a lot and don't really care about what happens. If injury and death were an option, the risks would be bigger, more consequntial, and more fun.

Best Game Nintendo Ever Created!!!44404

Amanda from Clarksville,Tennessee says (26/Mar/2005):
I think this is the best game ever! My brothers think it is soo stupid. I love it anyway, I don't care what they say. Every time I'm free of no work I play this game, from morning till night. Oh, does anybody know if you can get married on this game. Someone said you could, but I'm not so sure. Please contact me. If you do could you let me know where you had gotten my e-mail address. Safety reasons, my personal thought, LOL! Well, if you're thinking of buying an awesome game, but not sure which one to buy, get this one. For the people who have busy work schedules and can only play this game at night, if you have a problem with Nook's store not being open and it's 10:00 PM(your time) just save and quit. When it asks you if you're ready say other options or whatever it says and click on adjust clock. If you want Nook's store to be open make sure the time is set to after 9:00 AM. Well, remember to contact me even if you don't know about that marrying thing.

Kelwio Game!44299

A gamer from Louisville, KY, USA says (10/Mar/2005):
I just have one question...Can you get upgraded from Tom Nook's department store? I heard that there was a mall once!! Is this true? Please answer! I want the mall so bad, but nobody is telling me if it's true! Thanks a whole bunch.
By the way I loved the game! It looked like a baby game and I thought that it was like Frogger© lol, but I guess not. Does anybody have a clue when Animal Crossing 2 is coming out?

Cross Into The World Of Animal Crossing....43896

Arohk from Alberta, Canada says (11/Jan/2005):
First of all, I'd like to say that this is one of the greatest games they've ever come out with for the Nintendo Game Cube. It is smart, doesn't require alot of thinking, and it is an endless game.

Let me talk about the music first. The music could definatly use work. Although it is good, it could be just a little better. I love how you could make a personalized version of your town song, and also, another great little feature that was one of my personal favorites was Totakeke and how you could load what he sang to you into your home's music system. If anyone does not know, I would like to take the opertunity and tell you about songs that you can only get by requesting. 1. Only Me. 2. K.K. Love. I have forgotten the other one, but you can try Yesterday or Day After Tomorrow.

Next, lets talk about the controls. I think the controls were very simple, easy to learn, and very adjustable. I think no one had problems with the controls since it had little wrong with it. The only thing is, sometimes my finger would get sore from holding down the B button all the time. Thats the only suggestion I would make, make the character run a little faster.

Next, how about those graphics? They aren't too bad. Cartoonish yes, but isn't that the way the game was supposed to be? The only thing I was slightly disappointed with was that you couldn't rotate the camera while you were outside. Thats basically the only problem. You couldn't see around those annoying trees, therefore had to chop 'em down.

Lastly, I will provide some help for you cheaters out there. ^_~ You can get some secret items in the game by going to Nook and talking to him, then going to Other Things.. then going to Say Code. I will provide a list of the Nintendo-themed items. One note, you can only do it 3 times, then you have to wait another hour before entering another 3 codes.

Thats all for say code cheats. Now I will go on and tell you about hidden secrets in the game.

1. Money Tree: When you see a glowing spot on the ground, dig there and you will find some Bells (Money). The hole will still be shining, instead of covering it up, bury some money in the hole and a sprout will pop up. Wait for it to grow, and it will bear fruit (Money Bags) of the amount you first put in. There will be 3 of them, doubling what you origionally put in. If it does not grow, your money will be lost.
2. Golden Shovel: Make sure you have an extra shovel. When you see a glowing spot on the ground, dig there and you will find some Bells (Money). The hole will still be shining, instead of covering it up, bury the spare shovel and a golden sprout should appear. Wait a few days and it will grow into a golden tree. Shake the tree once it is fully grown and a golden shovel will fall out. There is only one per tree. It lets you dig up bells and various items when you dig in any place. It also lets you dig up extra NES games.
3. Golden Axe: Talk to the wishing well and get it to say everything is perfect for 2 full weeks. This can be acheived by pulling all the weeds, picking up all the trash, plant trees/flowers, and being active. This axe will never break. Talk to the well on the last day to get it from the well's spirit.
4. Golden Bug Net: Catch every type of bug.
5. Golden Fishing Rod: Catch every type of fish.

Well thats all, I hope this review was of some help to all of you. Have fun on Animal Crossing!

Cross Into The World Of Animal Crossing....43897

1. Only Me. 2. K.K. Love. THIS GAME ROX MAH SOX OFF!42892

Sasha animal-crossing lover from Honolulu, Hawaii, USA says (23/Oct/2004):
I think this game rox. When i first saw it inh the stores I thought this cool. When i got it, it was even better. I think its so awesome you can make friends by sending letters and can visit othere towns. My whole town is covered in fruit trees and tom nooks shop is a department store now and has 2 foors. Its awesome. My house has 2 floors and i have tons off rare items. ive played this for over a 2 years and i still love it. Now im trying something out. I heard from another site that if you put items in your saved letters at the post office when you delete the town the letters will still be there. i'm trying that out but im putting my money in the othere town just in case lol! Try it out? i have alot of codes from othere sites and i almost know everything about the game! I even know how boy characters can get a inhabitant girlfriend and get a kiss or a get dumped bye her. Got questions? I'll answer them at kutestpunkalive< remove me > at yahoo.com . Another cool thing is that if a person moves from your town she/he can move back if they want to. and if you have more than 1 memory card the peeple who recently moved can come and visit your town. if you travelo on the trane and happen to see blanca you can draw on her face. sometimes she mite visit your town and her recent drawn face will be on her face. in the meen time have fun playing your game. - sasha

The game that lasts forever!!!!!!!!!!!42775

A gamer from USA says (8/Oct/2004):
This game, lets say I thought it was a little kid game. When I got the game, it was amazing!!! You get different characters by how you re-act to Rover, a cat which meets you on a train. On this train, you get to name the person you are, decide if you are a boy or girl, and even name your town. After getting off the train, you see Tom Nook, who is a Raccoon, and he will be metting you through your game. Tom Nook will let you pick a house out of 4, though I personally like the house in the right top corner. After choosing, he will tell you the cost of your house, and when you go to give him money, you only have 1,000 with you. He will laugh at you, then he gets the idea of letting you work at his shop. This is where you come off on our own. Though, I have a secret about making money quickly. If you have a friend that makes a file, travel to their town, and if their fruit tree is different than yours, grab a couple fruits from their town. Travel back to your town, then plant the fruits in your town where they will grow. You can purchase a shovel from Tom Nook for 500 bells to plant the fruits. After planting the fruits, leave them alone for a couple days. When they finally bear fruits, take the fruits off the trees by shaking the tree with the A button. If you go to sell these fruits at Tom Nook's store, he will pay 500 each. I went to a friend's town, and I planted so many trees, I get over 60,000 bells just from harvesting them and selling them to Tom Nook in one day. I will add more details later to this, for now, I'm off to play Animal Crossing. See you all later with more updates!!!

Animal crossing rocks!!!42702

mystery women from Us says (30/Sep/2004):
Animal crossing is the best game ever. I have three memory cards filled up with animal crossing. I even got my mom addicted to it I have payed of all my loans on one memory card and almost all of my loan on another and the other memory card I just started. Any time any of my friends come over I always tell them to try and play it half the people I know have bought the game it is so life like how you can decorate and buy stuff. I like to draw on Blancas face that is so fun it is cool how the animals all have diffrent attitudes just like in real life and how they get mad and sad and happy like if they are watching when you catch a fish they start to clap for you. The only thing that bothers me is everytime I write one of them they write me back what are you talking about or thanks for the letter even though it made no sense. I have a question through even though I bought this game since it came out I didnt think you could get engaged but someone told me you could does anyone know if its true if it is will you e-mail me to tell me how I think it would be interesting.

"What's Hapenin"!42068

Jay from Elgin,Illinois,USA says (1/Aug/2004):
I really like the game even though when i saw the ad i thought it was stupid.I have the full size 2 story house and am working on getting all the fish and bugs I only need 3 fish and 3 bugs.I need the Arowana,Angelfish, and guppy.for bugs i need the Mantis, giant stag beetle and suomething else.Let me know of any info especially on the fish which i cant seem to find.I usually play the game every day while listening to music.I am very close to having everything on the game as in fish and bugs as said above.I have an Island upstairs and a Ancient livin room.Mostly all my stuff is rare.

HINTS:The best way to plant enough trees for a perfect town rating are to just plant fruit.

Request these from k.k.: Two Days Ago,I Love You, and K.K.Song.

Sometimes on Sept. 10 18:00 u catch only red snappers and barred knifejaws in the ocean no sea bass

The piranha is caught in August at 18:00

This game isn't just for kids!! I LOVE IT!!!!42035

A gamer from Georgetown, Indiana says (29/Jul/2004):
We bought this game for our 8 & 10 year old kids at Christmas a year ago, and now my husband and I play all the time. We have all gotten the biggest houses, and paid off all of our debt and we still love it. It is the cutest game I have ever seen. We even play at night after the kids have gone to bed. You can plant flowers everywhere, design your own clothes and umbrellas, rearrange your house anyway you like, (but you better clean it a lot or you will get $#< remove me > at !roaches!) One time I got my forune told by Katrina and I tripped and fell everytime I ran, it was so funny! It was winter, so I was slipping and falling on my face constantly!! I love to fish and just recently we discoverd a HUGE new fish called an Arapaima that is worth 10,000 bells. Every Saturday night we let KK sing to us and get his new tunes. My husband has a lab in his basement with a toilet and a farting gyroid next to it, and my son has collected so many gyroids, his entire basement is full of them! We've been playing for over a year & a 1/2 and still love it, it never gets boring!!!

BEST GAME I EVER PLAYED!!!!!!42035

cool gal game lover from kentucky, usa says (16/Jul/2004):
I love this game. Me and my friend were up until 4:00am playing this game.I love the fact that you can buy and sell items to tom nook, design cloths at the tailor shop, and mail letters to other villagers in your town. There's just endless activities you can do on this game. There is always something you can do and I love the fact you can change the dates anytime you want and you don't have to wait a long time for a holiday to come up. I is so realistic. Everyday there is a money hole with one-thousand dollars burried in it. You can also make money by taking your shovel and hitting it agianst rocks until you find the money rock which will turn red and if you keep hitting it before it turns gray agian you can make around $4,000. Trust me you have got to buy this game. It's a fact that your going to love it. It may be alittle hard earning your money to pay off your house but you do it because you have a larger house to look forward to and you have fun along the way. I am hoping they will make an animal crossing 2. It makes you wonder what they would add on it 'cause I don't know that it can get any better than this.

The Last Game I'll Probably Ever Play41571

mallory knox from Greenville, NC, USA says (30/Jun/2004):
I was first introduced to this game by hearing my sister playing it at 6:00 in the morning. The people talking annoyed me to death and I swore I would get rid of it. After I watched all the possiblities of the game, I couldn't help but try it out. Get my own house? Collect stuff? Alright! Every time I wake up in the morning, I play it, putting in codes and meeting people. The people in my town, < remove me > at comical, are all the people that live in my house. My mom (44) , my dad (38), my sister (13), and me (23). I am now hunting bugs, which is the hardest thing. I've got every outdoor thing in my house you could imagine. I can even put signs up around houses of people I don't like. If anybody gets someone cool like Bob and Tangy in your town, or Marcy the Kangaroo, you are lucky. Just wath out for the ugly pig or the mean bird. I just wish I got the wolf. There are so many things you can buy at Nook's store, and lots of things from the black market, a fox named crazy Redd. It's great. The only real gripe I have about this game is to experience it fully, you have to get a gameboy advance cable to go to the other island, and another full memory card to visit/make another city. Other than that, it's great.I've never had such a personal experience with a game. I only need 6 more fish to go before I am done. Here's a code for 30,000 bells: WB2&pARAcnOwnU jMCK%hTk8JHyrT

OUTTASITE!41400

monica from riveside, ca says (22/Jun/2004):
ANIMAL CROSSING RAGES! ROCKS! RULES! This game is the absolute best! It will take 10 years to come close. The town, the animals, the diverse ways to make bells (ie money). I am 41 years old and wanted animal crossing since it came out. My 7 yr old son just got it for me as an early b-day present! How sweet is that? Now everyone in the house is fighting for their turn and "calling dibbs" to be the first one in Tom Nook's in the morning. In this game you get to be the winner you always hoped you could be. So what is there to do in "L.A." (my son named the town)? Fish, write letters, garden, shake the trees for bells, design your own clothes, or practice interior design. This game just gives and gives. Hey, I even like Resetti! If you are bored with gaming and need something new, try animal xing! If you hate video games but are searching for a better way to relate to your kids, get animal xing, if you need a way to relax, if you need mental stimulation, if you've had too much stimulation, GET ANIMAL XING! <{{{><

I think that animal crossing is cool, but...41400

black_flash from portland, usa says (9/Jun/2004):
Animal crossing is in 1 word, addictive! But that does not mean it is without it's flaws. Let's face it, after a while it just get's boring, just like every other game. Although there are some games that just stay perfect, like donkey kong, super mario 3, and excitabike. Now i'm not saying that animal crossing is a bad game, far from that. Animal crossing is a very fun game. You can hunt for bugs, fish, or even make your own clothes. The thing I dislike about the game is when a person puts in a cheat or "code". Why would you do that, I mean it just takes the fun out of playing. A-C is in some ways the perfict game. After you get the game you will find there is almost always something to, except when you play for about 20 minutes and don't change the day. I myself can only play for about 10 minutes then I have to stop. Now that I have my bills payed off I personally like to fish in the fishing tourny, hunt for bugs, and collecting rare artifacts. In all, animal crossing get's a 7.8 from me, but that is just my feelings about the game.
